Just picked a red drill sergeant today at walmart. I had no idea these even existed until I seen it today at Walmart, I got the last one too

I had my boyfriend check Wally World for the Drill Sarge and he didn't see anything. Guess it hasn't reached the East Coast yet.

Checked in local Ohio Walmart (Cleveland area). None there, but I've only check at the one store. It might be a bit too early for East Coast amigos so we should wait a little bit.

I checked 2 off them and nothing yet

I checked a better Wal-Mart in Tampa, FL and nada for RDS. I did get to grab a 2nd Flameslinger since this was the first I saw the single pack in like 2 months of looking.

FWIW, my boyfriend works in electronics at a WalMart here in PA. He said they got a mod update for the Skylanders section that includes a tag for just Drill Sergeant. It doesn't specify red or anything and he's not sure if it's a different UPC from standard DS but I think that's a pretty good sigh, if they're going to be having him on the mod. And the other tags are just generic, not character specific. But yea, still nothing has shown up. And our Walmart still has a lot of Skylanders so it might be a while until we get anymore in.

actually ive found 6 of them in salina california walmart. i went to moterey bay aqurium and decided to swing by walmart on the way home. i had picked up 4 of them, so people if u want them pm me and we can talk. all brand new and i dont care about the variant.

Ummm we don't have a walmart in australia so we will most likely not get one, can someone from america *Cough* PM me about getting one *Cough* as it would be really cool to have as we don't get these variants here. even the target exclusive whirlwind I am sure we didn't get it.

My Walmart had shelves full of them...I bought 13! I live in South Dakota. So they are obviously in the Mid-West.

Actually we did get the Target exclusive Whirlie - when the game first came out Target offered a free fig with a starter pack purchase and made a big deal about its exclusivity.

They're not going to be worth much as they're readily available.

Scalpers won't be making a killing.

I just hope Activision are starting to listen and give kids a chance to get these figures.

Only problem for my kid, it's only available in the US.

Edit: Still doesn't do anything special in the game though! Hopefully Activision put something in the Giants game so they can be used in the game, but probably not.

I live in one of the Northern suburbs of Houston, so I'll have to go on the hunt again tomorrow! But I'm glad they have finally made it to Texas

I bought so many to resell them for a little profit. I have already sold 5. 2 for my friends at $30. And 2 on ebay for $18, and 1 to a guy at Gamestop for 35...
Aside from that, I am curious about this, I checked the starter level on the WERDS that I decided to keep, but still never opened. It was at level 10 with 21000 coins. Others are saying the start at level 5 with 2100. I also noticed while playing through a lot of levels, that it could open up fire gates, but not tech gates. So is this just a REALLY lucky glitch or a rarity among them? I have not heard of this happening before. I am kind of disappointed that it does not open tech gates. :/ I tried a different one, and it was level 5 with 2100 and could open the tech gates. I will take a video for proof about the gates later.

One thing I did notice is that the "Only at Walmart" logo on the cardboard backing is just a sticker. I don't remember if the original Drill Sergeant Walmart exclusive was just a sticker as well. I free all my Skylanders from their boxed prisons.

Can any of our collectors out there confirm if the original Walmart Drill Sergeant has a sticker on it or is the Walmart logo printed on the cardboard.

Can someone get me one?? I will pay for it and standard shipping. I have been to 2 Wal-Marts and I haven't seen them yet

It was a sticker, just like the new one.

Thanks for the info! It makes me think - What would keep a scam artist from taking a new WERDS figure out of the box and replacing it with one of the regularly painted Drill Sergeants. They could try to pass it off as one of the early collectibles to someone looking for it. A keen eye can tell the differences in the paint job, but I bet they could end up fooling somebody. If more of the regular painted Drill Sergeants with the "Walmart Exclusive" start showing up on ebay I would call foul.

Oh, I bet scams like that are already taking place. Not everyone knows about the black gears or darker crimson paint of the original exclusive Drill Sergeant, and there will be plenty of people duped on eBay as a result.

On a side note, this is actually a pretty cool variant. We may go grab another to remove it from the package; I'm betting it looks awesome on the portal.
