His name is Malefor. in The Eternal NIght, Terrador calls the Well of Souls the Mountain of Malefor. An we should all know by now, that the well of souls was made by the DArk Master. I also read his true name online somewhere...

Well, lets think about this...

the fire dragon is called Ignitus (Ignite)
the electric dragon is called Volteer (volt)
the ice dragon is called Cyril
the earth dragon is called Terrador

Spyro is obviously the purple dragon's name...
Cynder is a dark dragon's name (Cinder)

The dragonfly's name is Sparx (Sparks)

okay, so all dragonfly names start with S

and they can come up with some pretty weird names for those you battle

and Gaul was the name of the ape king...

and so, this must all mean that if you think about a good purple dragon (the first one) turned bad...

WAIT! if the Chronicler has his fortress set up for protection so that only a PURPLE DRAGON can get in...

THIS MEAN that the Chronicler is a purple dragon and therefore the Dark Master is the Chronicler and the name is...

i honestly can't think of one...

well, why would his fortress be made to let only a purple dragon in.
after all, he didn't want spyro to go to the mountain of malefor, because the DM wouldn't be there, the Chronicler was the DM (Malefor)

chronicler is more gray
and i have discovered that chronicler is a time dragon, so chronicler taught the DM (malefor)

Yes, the Chronicler is a Time Dragon, but we don't know for sure that he taught the Dark Master. Yes, he could have taught him but we don't know that for sure.

Actually...I don't think the Chronicler can actually use Dragon Time.
Remember, he told Spyro in the fire dream, 'the purple dragon can wield many abilities that others cannot...including time itself.' That indicates to me that only a purple dragon can use Dragon Time. So while the Chronicler records history, but he has no control over time itself.
