Chapter 31
The Power of Fire

Cynder continued running through the forest with tears in her eyes.She couldn't believe what she just saw,but she had to keep running or else the humans would get her too.

Now she was smelling smoke,fire.There wasnt even time to run.She had to find a way to fly out of this woods,but there was so many trees.Then a spear flew right past her face.Quickly,she soared upward and managed to break through the trees.

She saw the large forest fire that had begun and she also heard the screams of her pursuers.

She quickly flew back to camp where Terrador was waiting.

"Where's Spyro,"Terrador asked Cynder.

Then he looked at her eyes and he knew what had happened.

"Cynder,I'm sorry.........."He began,but Cynder had already went into a tent and had broken out in a sob.

The fire had spread to the main part of the battle.This had forced Hunter on to the ground.

He looked around to see both sides still killing each other."Why are they still fighting?"Hunter thought."We got to get out of here"

He started telling the other Cheetahs to retreat but he was forced to the ground by a human soldier.The soldier tried to stab Hunter but he managed to grab the human's hand and force him to drop the knife.Hunter then kicked the human off.

Things were really bad now.The fire was all around them and trees were falling down,pinning people and burning them.

Hunter and the other cheetahs began to run.Hunter then heard a voice..

"Hunter please help me..."

It was a cheetah warrior who was about to burn to death and he couldn't get up.Hunter couldn't let him die like that.So he took out his bow,loaded the arrow,and pointed it at the warrior's head.He then fired and continued running.

A forest fire how strange does this mean there a screct that your hiding crazyspyrofan if she just looked back to see fire DOES mean spyro is alive?

Remember,Farfax started the fire after he got taken over by the dark energy.

I'm really sorry everyone. I hate to say this but, I'm postponing my fan fiction. I just can't find time to make new chapters anymore. I'll restart it as soon as I can. I promise I won't abandon the story I just need to wait untill I have more time.

Chapter 32
Flaming Charge


Cole decided to keep the artifact he had found.He stuck it in a
pouch that was on his waist,but now he wasn't sure what he was
going to do next,he no potential allies and he didn't even know
where he was.

Then he heard someone shout not to far away,"Private Chaff,What
are you doing over there?!"get over here,we're going to charge.

Cole didn't want to get involved with this battle,but what choice
would he have?If he ran off or disobeyed order they would kill him
for treason.

So he reluctantly followed the man(Who he discovered was an
officer)to a line of other recuits a little younger then him.
One of the younger men in the line was one of Cole's friends.

"Are we going to make it out of here,Cole?"the friend asked.

"Of course,the battle should end any time soon",he lied,he had no
idea when this battle would end,he just knew from all the
destruction that it would have to end soon.

He then looked ahead of him and saw a whole line of cheetah and
mole warriors heading up the hill and coming right at them.

"Get ready..................."the human officer said,"CHARGE!"

With that Cole and the other recruits began running foward into the
fight. About half way there Cole smelled smoke,he looked in the
direction of the scent and to his horror,he saw a giant wall of fire
coming right at them burning through the trees.

Then everything seemed to happen in an instant,the fire quickly
moved in and consumed the area around them,some of the trees
that caught fire began to collapse.Cole heard screams of pain and
agony cry out through the forest for a few seconds but
then................nothing,all he could hear was the crackling of
flames.

He slowly rose to his feet,there was fire and smoke everywhere,but
he could still see that some of the humans and the cheetahs,and
moles had survived.

The human officer got back up,and he was about to raise his sword
to signal the survivors to keep charging but before he could an
arrow went right into his heart and he fell to the ground.

The remaining recruits except for Cole panicked and began to run
in other directions with the cheetahs and moles chasing them.
Cole began to run as well when he noticed that a cheetah warrior
had just killed his friend,Cole became angered and stabbed the
cheetah in the back with his sword,afterwards Cole continued to
run attempting to escape the fire.

The theif was looking down on the battle from a small bluff he had
found.

"Those fools"he thought to himself,"They have no idea
what power that artifact has".

He still couldn't believe how that
human managed to make him drop the artifact,now it was shattered
into 4 peices,and the human had one of them!

"Ah well,it's not a complete diasaster"the thief decided,for he
managed to keep one of the peices,"Without this they will never be
able to use the artifact's true power"

With that assurance the theif
pulled out a blue potion. He then threw it on the ground and a
strange blue portal opened up,the thief then jumped through it
leaving the devasting battle behind.


I'm sorry for the lack of bold and italics,and the weird paragraph structure. I had to write this on my computer's notebook.

I just started reading this story and must say, this is pretty well done i look forward to seeing more

Chapter 33
Revenge

Cynder was on the edge of the camp where no one could see her. She was still sobing and couldn't seem to stop. She couldn't hardly bring herself to beleive it,"Spyro is dead," Why did this have to happen? Just when things were going to get better this war had to start.

Then it came to her,this war is the humans fault. Now through her sadness she felt a new feeling,anger. She hated the humans and she was going to make them pay,she would get revenge for Spyro's death. They killed the one she loved most,now she would kill the one who kept them all together.

Cynder was going to kill their leader.

The fire was no spreading to the human's main camp.

"Tell everyone to regroup at the north edge of the forest,"Geon said to a messenger.

Then Geon,Galvor,and the few other human soldiers still at the camp began to run through the woods to escape the flames. When they neared the edge they had someone waiting for them,it was Farfax.

Geon could barely even recongize Farfax he had changed so much.

"Farfax,what happened to you?"Geon asked.

Farfax laughed."Many great things commander,"Farfax said in his now dark voice,"I now have the power to destroy all of you,and that is what I will do."

A few of the soldiers started to pull out their swords but Galvor waved his hand to tell them to not do so.

Galvor walked in front of all the humans,"Your power is nothing compared to mine,"He said.

"We will see about that,"Farfax said in reply.

Farfax started to shoot dark energy at Galvor,Galvor easily deflected it and shot a dark beam into Farfax,and then began to drain his energy.

After absorbing the energy Galvor thought to himself,"The dark energies of this universe are very interesting.""They could be usefull later." Then he noticed Farfax's body had de-mutated and he was on his knees

Farfax was near death but he managed to say,still in a dark,evil voice,"You may have defeated me,but you will never defeat the true controller of the darkness."

After that,Galvor shot one more beam through Farfax. Farfax's body collapsed on the ground in a lifeless heap."What did he mean,the true controller of the darkness?"Galvor asked himself.

this is really good!

Everything would be ok, if it wouldn't be AWESOME!!! Great chapter!

Chapter 34
Survival

Flame continued to stagger through the burning woodland. His wounds were really getting to him now,he had lost a lot of blood as well. Every step he took sent pain shooting through him. He didn't know how much longer he could go like this,if only he could get out of this forest.

The smoke stung at his eyes,there was fire all around him. Flame fought hard to keep on walking,becuase he knew if he fell down,he wouldn't get back up.

Then he saw a glimmer of hope,he was almost at the edge of the woods,and he could see the Allied camp. He moved foward as fast as he could,he was almost there when his legs gave out on him.

"No,not now"he said to himself. He started to crawl trying to get out of the woods,the world around him was starting to fade out,if he could just make it a little farther.........................................


Flame awoke inside a tent,with Ember standing close by smiling.

"How did you find me?"he asked.

"Hunter got out of the forest after you,he found you passed out on the ground and carried you back here,"Ember answered.

Flame groaned,"ugh..........looks like you made it too,"he said weakly.

"Just in time,a burning tree almost collapsed on top of me.""The forest is burning like mad........"

"Tell me about it,"Flame said.

"Terrador has ordered everyone back to the camp,"Ember continued,"The battle has stopped,for now."

"So now what do we do?"Flame said,trying to get up.

Ember gently pushed him back down with one paw,"Well I know what you aren't going to do,"she said,"and that's get up,doctor's orders."

"How are Spyro and Cynder?"he asked.

Ember hated to be the one to tell him this,"Spyro............has been killed by the humans,and Cynder has dissapeared.

Flame spent a moment trying to take this all in,"Spyro's gone,that's hard to beleive,I wonder what this means for the rest of us."

Flame would find out what it meant for the rest of them not too far in the future,and he wouldn't like it.

thanks goodness Flame made it but i hope Cynder doesn't take it too far... maybe. :/ nice page, i'll be waiting for more

Chapter 35
New Orders

Cole was glad to find out that the humans had regrouped. He really wanted out of the forest,plus this also meant the battle had stopped,at least for a little while.

He was traveling with a few other soldiers that had got the message to regroup on the north edge of the woods. They quickly ran to join up with the rest of the humans.

Geon had been waiting for hours,he finnally told one of his men to gather some information and give him a status report.

"The situation is bad sir,"the human reported,"We have less then two-thousand men left,our supplies are almost gone,and our troops' morale is shattered."

"What's the situation on the siege weapons?"Geon asked.

"We still have some catapults left sir,"the soldier said.

"Find the most qualified person to use them that you can,"Geon said,"I have a plan,and we might just be able to win this battle yet.
