Nope. I guess I gotta go hibernate again. Maybe for 7 years this time.

Cynder opened her mouth to speak and then realised she had no idea what to say, she kept on waking him with her stupid nightmares and she was sure every time he hated her more. Even though he didn’t show it.
“Just, uh, just a nightmare” She mumbled.
“Another? You can’t be getting much sleep” he said, full of pity and walked over to her to sit down beside her.
Cynder gave a tiny nod, Spyro looked very tired. He yawned. “Are you ok?”
“I’m, I’m fine” She murmured, not sure if he would believe her. He looked at her and yawned again, putting his head down and falling asleep beside her. Cynder tried to sleep, but even though Spyro was here she couldn’t sleep. Usually it was like he was protecting her from the scary thoughts that swarmed across her mind. But he was asleep, does it still count?
Cynder scowled and wondered why she was decided whether she was scared or not, even though she was. The spooky thoughts came back and her eyes dashed across the room, the shadows were long and there was an eerie silence. She sat as still as a rock and wished she hadn’t had that dream.
Something moved in the shadows, Cynder looked into the darkness. Terrified.

But no, it wasn’t a creature IN the shadows, it was Shadow. Cynder breathed a sigh of relief. Shadow walked over, said nothing but sat down on her other side. He closed his eyes but his presence was reassuring, Shadow was always awake. He couldn’t sleep. Cynder closed her eyes and slept.

Elixir awoke, looking around sleepily. Shadow was missing. Elixir frowned and got up, Shadow didn’t usually go missing. He had followed Elixir around ever since he was created. Elixir got up and walked out in the corridor. “Shadow?” He thought about going back inside but to him being without Shadow was like…being without a shadow. He peeked around Spyro’s door. No one. He looked in Cynder’s and was relived to see Shadow there; he walked inside and fell asleep next to Shadow. The room was pretty cramped now. Not to cramped for a cat.

Thoran sat on the roof, lazily thinking about a warm bed. He didn’t have one as he mostly slept any where he wanted too. But it was cold tonight. He jumped down and landed on Cynder’s window ledge and couldn’t resist a peek inside*, being a cat, he saw 3 dragons and 1 shadow all squeezed into a small room. He purred with amusement. Cynder looked up at him “Room for one more?” she asked.
He purred again and jumped down, purring like a steam roller, he slept under Cynder’s neck. He became her pillow. Now 3 dragons, 1 shadow and a cat sleapt in one tiny room.
