"Very well," Sere answered. "Now let us through. The Ishulgites will be expecting me soon." The matter of Shade was something to consider as well, though that wasn't a priority - the other meeting needed to happen before he decided any further action.

After a while of relaxing, with Ilasi providing more belly rubs, Veris eventually dozed off. Finding her job no longer necessary, she climbed down off of Veris, looking out into the distance. Smoke billowed over the dense foliage, before being put out before too long. What was happening out there? There were no orders to leave the ship yet - all they could do was stay watchful.

Dex was waiting. It was hard to do anything usefull when you where waiting something so big.....
But what he and Sapphire had been doing was to send letters to everybody they knew not in connection with the guilds or others having something to do with the alliance project.

First there where the guardians. After he had left Redwater Dex had not been in connection with them.
And ofcourse lot of old connections from his old life. They might not be alive even, but better safe then Sorry. ”Have you got all yours done” Dex asked Sapphire.
”Yes I think so. I was ofcourse thinking about Maverick Angora and others, but it might be useless to try. They would not probably get it” Sapphire said
”True True. And if they are still with Sere and Latnok they will get the message when guardians do tell them..... I think I am done too for now........ (He remembered Huntress)....Maybe one more in fact” Dex said

It was soon time for big decisions. And the fate of many working in the ”otherside of the law” would probably be decided.

Guild messenger was coming close to the guardians base. He was one of those who have been there with Dex. That Why he knew what it would take to get there, not nice..... not easy.... but with right equipment could be done. When he was at the gate he just left the letter with first guard he found. Telling who was it from.

The letter started with Dex telling How Sorry he was about the job which was left behind in Redwater. Then he told he was at Cross North because there was where big worries about Blues brotherhoods growht. The letter told everything he thought was going to happen with Blue and the brotherhood. He ended the letter with ”if i can i will return to work we you if needed, but first I have to take care of the problem with Blue. If you see him, be ready. He has an army now”

Someone walked close by Huntress and put a letter in her table. ”Read that, ask questions later if you want to.” The man said and left

He was one of Dexes men in Redwater blackmarket, and ofcourse had seen Huntress when Dex had been with her. It had take sometime from him to find her.... but with a team of spies it had not been too hard

Letter for the Huntress:

Hello there. I know we did not have great time last time we have seen eachother. But I wanted you to know about my fear about the brotherhood and Blue. Then the letter explained everything Dex thought might happen in the future with the brotherhood and Blue.
I dont think Redwater will be their target though. Too strong and Well guarded, but if you happen to see any of them they will be much stronger then before, and there will be a lot of them.
If you want to answer this letter, you know where to find my guys.

Dex.

Mischief shakes her head. "No, not like that." She looks back towards the island. "It was probably nothing. I might've just imagined it, it was reminiscent of training to use fire magicks with my classmates. Lots of them burned themselves. I just did what the instructor did. It was exhausting but I passed." She leaned against him. "You're fluffy. Are you like... A satyr maybe?" Satyrs had been described similarly, although Maverick's responsible attitude really didn't fit one. Maybe he was an odd one out? She had only seen most magical/unusual creatures in books.

Maverick chuckled, understanding the confusion. Fauns and satyrs were very similar after all.
"Close, but no. I'm actually part faun. There are a lot of hybrids of them out there for what I've heard. Pure ones are likely extinct, but I'm hoping there are a few out there." Maverick explained happily, knowing it was unlikely given their history, but perhaps there was a society of them out there. The world was big after all.

At Redwater, Huntress was leaving the bar to return to the frontier to help the soldiers and behemoths, the chores there being the only thing that distracted her positively. The bulletin board wasn't what it used to be. Most of the jobs now were people requesting some ridiculous help, such as fumigating bugs, help with farms, manual chores and such. The pay was poor too. Barely anything about bounty hunting, mostly cause with the Silvianestri threat, the creature problems have decreased significantly with a heavier guard. When she returned to the border, she found to her surprise that a letter was waiting for her. Who could've possibly written to her. King Seraos? She would find out...

Huntress indignantly grasped the letter with a clenched fist, wrinkling it. How dare this little beast disappear on her all of the sudden and now he contacts her through a letter alone? Heaven knows how much time he made her waste chasing after a dragon whose existence she began doubting. Dex, his girlfriend, the three men, the fox's contacts, all this talk about Blue made her believe they took advantage of her hatred for dragons to send her on a wild goose chase and make fun of her. She was tempted to tear up the letter, or better yet, burn it, but then she decided to keep it so she could make Dex eat it the next time they encounter each other again.

Mischief pressed in a bit more firmly. "Oh. Okay." She looked up at him, attempting to memorize his features. "Are fauns and satyrs possibly related? I've read about both. They apparently look similar. Although their classical personalities are incredibly different." She tilted her head a little.

Maverick was tempted to pick the little fox up with so much adorableness, but decided to treat her as just another companion to talk to.
"I guess so. You could say we're as different as dragons and wyverns perhaps. Maybe not much in personality, but still." Maverick said, that being the best example he could think of. He did meet a few satyrs in the past, though he never interacted with them. They were aloof and not very social, thinking of only their music, though apparently, they were great investors too. Unlike fauns, satyrs were still relatively common, and they only had relationships with each other. One thing Maverick knew for a fact is that they were vain, and hated the idea of their perfect species being mixed up with commoners kinds.

Mischief finally gave in to temptation and reached up as high as she could. She blatantly wanted to be held. As intelligent as she was, she still craved affection DESPERATELY. Plus she liked being cuddled. "I can see how the difference would be comparable... Unlike you, I'm pretty much bite sized to members of either species. I nearly proved that earlier according to miss Angora."

After getting the cue, Maverick grabbed Mischief, though it was more to prevent her from falling.
"Well, size doesn't matter. We make the most of whatever we're dealt with." Maverick assured, never seeing a creature this clingy before, except perhaps Shade. He was still a stranger to her at this point, so showing this much affection either meant too much lack of love, or lack of enough malice. Or perhaps like his girlfriend said, he was just too likable.

Shade smiled. “Is that a challenge I hear?”

In response, Angora smirked and gave him another kick to his claw, harder than the last time. Shade liked provoking her, now it was her turn.

Mischief crooned, visibly relaxing. "Agreed..." She shifted carefully, for comfort's sake. She shifted to move her head under Maverick's chin. "And strong magick means size matters a lot less for me. If it can be burned, frozen, or electrocuted, I can fight it. Incorporeal things aren't a problem either. Doesn't make me any more willing to fight though..." Her train of thought moved on as she made a tiny affectionate yip. "Is this a kind of cuddling? I never really had much physical contact before, but this feels good..." She briefly pulled her head away to meet Maverick's eyes with her own. Should Maverick return her gaze, he'd see two big pale blue eyes displaying every emotion the pup felt. Most of it, for the moment, was delight and gratitude. Of course, like most Zorua, Mischief's eyes had a mildly hypnotic quality. Having neither the experience now the desire to hypnotize Maverick, the only effect of those blue eyes would be a faint urge to protect and care for her, which really wasn't a stretch anyway. After a few moments she tucked her chin back under Maverick's and snuggled in, tail wagging eagerly.

Maverick had been so distracted with Mischief he didn't notice poor Chester standing nearby until now. He was about to answer the fox when he saw the little dog.
"Hey cachorrito. How long have you been standing there? Come on Chester. Meet our new friend." Maverick invited as he went down his knees, now feeling bad for forgetting about Chester. Raclaw left with the group, so he should've known the beagle was going to be left behind.

"Tough luck." Angora said with a raspberry, running around Shade. She knew she couldn't make him run, otherwise he could cause quite the destruction with his extremities, so she made sure he didn't have the need to move from his spot to catch her. She ran around him, sometimes on top of him, avoiding his jaws and claws, but especially his tail. She already failed so many times because of that last part, so she was alert with every single part of him.

Maverick had his hands full with the two canines. Fortunately, Veris was dozing off, Ilasi's petting having done the trick.
"Hey Ilasi. Come here. Meet Mischief." Maverick said, remembering she still hadn't met the little black fox. This was certainly going to be an eventful day, in more ways than he imagined.

Angora jumped around him like a flea refusing to leave it's host.
"You're such a wimp. You'd starve if you were alone." Angora mocked, very happy that she could evade Shade with much more success than in the past. Her agility hadn't become rusty. However, she knew that she was doing much more movement in her dodging than Shade in his capture attempt, so if this keep up, she knew she was going to be tired first soon... but not right now. She was going to let Shade have the pleasure of capturing her...

Angora had considered everything, from his tail to normal extremities, but she tended to forget those extra limbs weren't as vestigial as they looked.
"Alright Shady alright, you caught me..." she said after a while, having somewhat missed these moments. However, she still wasn't very fond of licks, and Shade could be too overly affectionate. She knew he was going to be that way given how much time has passed without any contact with his family, but it still didn't stop from being annoying. She struggled a little harder this time to escape, but Shade had quite the tight grasp and couldn't slip herself loose. She had not one, but two dragons to take care of today, and Shade didn't seem like he was going to release her anytime soon. She was trapped, tolerating Shade's merciless affection as he had his revenge...

Mischief briefly seemed annoyed before shyness kicked in. Not only had Maverick ignored her (admittedly irrelevant) question, now he was splitting his attention. She wasn't entirely sure why that bothered her. It just sorta did. She looked at Chester with her head tilted. There didn't seem to be anything special about the little dog... Which only frustrated her further. Why was this utterly ordinary dog even here? Nevertheless, she forced her jealousy back, reminding herself she was lucky to have this much attention. Only her eyes showed her jealousy.
Then Chester barked. Every hair stood on end rather suddenly, a fearful instinct awakening. She buried her face in Maverick's chest with a terrified yelp. She didn't know why, but the sound of barking struck her nerves. She nearly left Maverick's arms but instead snuggled in all the harder. Once she was functional again, which thankfully took only a few seconds, she looked at the little dog who'd inadvertently triggered an instinct she never knew she had. She yipped a bit in a reply of sorts, which, if anything, was a timid request not to yell at her. She wasn't entirely sure what the beagle said but once her fur had gone back down she realized it was likely a greeting. She was blushing, embarrassed. "For someone so little he's got a big voice."
When Maverick called Ilasi, Mischief looked up. She rubbed her eyes, which watered when she was upset in any way. Her world clear again, she tilted her head at Ilasi.

Maverick almost felled backwards with Mischief's startling, having expected the, to get along from the get go.
"Easy there. That's just Chester. He's señor Latnok's dog, and a very dear friend of señor Raclaw. You know, the dragon with the fur and bird wings." Maverick explained, quickly explaining it wasn't the dragon nearby, Tyraika. She was rather similar in description after all. He took a quick glance at Shade, who seemed to having too much fun with Angora. Finally they could all feel happiness in that ship.

Ilasi carefully walked over - trying not to startle the fox creature. She looked awfully similar to Star... minus all of the mechanical parts. Star was uncontrollable, and got many crew members killed in the process. Would this thing be any different?
Attentive once again, Ilasi shook herself out of her thoughts before giving Mischief a forced smile. "Hello there," she made out.

Maverick made sure to hold Mischief gently but firmly, petting her in a massaging fashion on the shoulders to avoid a second startle because of Ilasi. She was no Chester, and she was mostly human like was, so Maverick hoped that would be enough for her to welcome his girlfriend's presence.

Back at Redwater, Huntress couldn't stop thinking about the letter, and how obsessed she once was with Blue. Dex already said in it he probably wouldn't be any trouble to her heavily guarded city, so why bother? She didn't know whether the letter she once sent to king Seraos ever reached him, but it was irrelevant now. She was fine, and no Blue encounter. If that dragon and some other society was at war, she hoped they would kill each other so that they would leave her alone.

Mischief nodded quietly at Maverick. When Ilasi approached the pup tilted her head, attempting to identify her. "Hi! My name's Mischief!" She wiggled a bit, deciding to trust Ilasi. If Maverick trusted her, and Angora trusted Maverick, logically, that meant Ilasi should be trustworthy. "Pleasure to meet you, miss Ilasi!" The pup's tail sways. "What do you do on board this bo-" She coughs, correcting herself. "this ship?" Sailors were often touchy about the terminology. It wasn't ever a boat, but a ship. And ships (as well as most vehicles, actually) are always a "she". Mischief's tail twitched nervously. Sure, she'd try to trust Ilasi, but she felt Ilasi didn't trust her. Was it about that guy before her? She tried shrugging it off as her paranoia acting up. Ilasi was even smiling! Sort of. It didn't feel quite right. That was the issue. Maybe Ilasi was smiling normally for her species. After shushing the instincts that usually warned her of mistrust she made sure to listen.

Chester backed down slightly upon Mischief's reaction and actually somewhat understandable "yip!" The little dog would opt to remain nearby, but to make as little noise as possible-- so as to avoid scaring the newcomer again. He didn't know why, but the strange antro/feral Pokémon (Was that right?) reminded him of a.. fox? Perhaps it was the smell or perhaps it was their reaction to what was essentially his only means of true communication. He could try to howl or wimple, but he doubted that would help; so he would simply let the fox-like creature adjust to his presence slowly. A part of him wondered if Pokémon also played with balls and other "dog toys." And another part of him still wanted a frisbee alongside Raclaw, whom he knew also had similar desires.

Raclaw and the group nodded that they were ready to head out whenever Sere was.

The fox was moving straight into further conversation - a cood sign, though Ilasi was still apprehensive. "I'm Ilasi. I handle medicine and medical care on this ship, as well as water purification." Ilasi's answer was short and simple, not particularly wanting to know more about the fox. She seemed more like a talking pet than a crew member.
"...please, do follow the captain's orders," Ilasi softly warned after a few moments of silence. "That is the best advice I can give you here. That isn't too hard, now, is it?"

Mischief had no trouble putting two and two together. It was about this mysterious Star. She decided to first acknowledge the answer before trying to learn why the heck everyone was so paranoid about her. "You're the healer, then. Good. I'd ask for tutelage, but I've tried healing and it just didn't work. As for obedience... First, I signed a contract with the captain. Why disobey? I'll just get in trouble. Is this about the Star guy I keep hearing about?"
Digi suddenly whirred, reminding everyone of his presence. "Star? Did he do something wrong here? I must've missed something while I was shut down."
Mischief, fur on end, noted timidly "I actually forgot you were here, Digi. As for what happened, apparently Star got some crew members killed with disobedience?"
Digi seemed stunned. "... Star never did like to bow to authority... And he was always impulsive... And especially dislikes listening to humans due to an incident in his past... But he doesn't generally let himself lose control."
Mischief just looks confused. "Who is Star, and why does everyone associate me with him?! Nearly everyone I've met on here mentions him!"
Digi answered the question rather literally. "His full name is Star NeoNoctus. He's the sole surviving member of his Clan, the NeoNoctus Clan. Some know him as the Timetwister for his signature invention. As for why you're associated with him, he was also a Zorua. However, unlike you he had neither magic nor ninjutsu. Just technology. The reason I know this is because he built and programmed me. Though, I really prefer Angora. Star just was so moody and irritable. And, frankly, I was just made to replace a friend he lost." Digi was suddenly indignant.
Mischief tilted her head. Then she summarized what she knew. "So he was a magickless jerk who got people killed? Remind me why anybody let him on board in the first place. It doesn't seem like anyone actually liked him. And without magick his utility would be limited at best. Why let him aboard at all?"

Maveric went and answered the question.
"El capitán was willing to give everybody a chance. Star was someone we knew from a little long before this voyage and he thought he could be trusted. He wasn't a bad creature, but he was too reckless, and one impulsive move turned into a terrible mistake." he explained calmly, not wanting to go into detail to avoid getting Mischief even more uncomfortable.
"He just needed some guidance, but unfortunately, he couldn't get it in time." Maverick concluded, not wanting Star'a memory to be a completely bad one. He then glanced at Angora, someone who really wanted a chance to redeem herself too, and whose attempts were ignored and rebuffed each and every time... until recently. Maverick still felt happy that Sere was finally starting to recognize Angora, though the little troll's doubts were rubbing off on him a little.

Angora was happy with the release, and while she wanted to take a little walk, she didn't want to leave Shade alone. Since Veris was dozing off and Maverick was taking care of Mischief for her now, she could still dedicate time to the dragolet.
"I really hope Sere returns soon and deems the island safe. Veris needs his exercise, and of course, you can fly alongside us. Help me with him, you know? He can get a little wild, especially if there's prey around. Plus I know how much you miss the skies, and extending your wings... feeling the air?" Angora commented, feeling nostalgic and a bit sad that those days, when it was just her, Maverick and Shade could likely never return. Even if Shade was released and they could travel again, it won't be the same without Maverick. He had a great life ahead of him with Ilasi, and she doubted the mermaid would want to travel with the two of them too.

OOC: Before I screw up again, I'll ask. Would anyone be interested in having some sort of encounter with Star? I... He's really my best developed character. And he was never intended to come across like some psychopath. I kind of want to have him redeemed, but I've already got another character here who was essentially to act as his replacement.
Mischief tilted her head, visibly confused. "The only impulse I'll have to restrain is the one to run away... I'm not exactly brave by any means... Actually I'm a complete coward." She turned her eyes away. She had confessed her timidness, as if anybody could have failed to notice her jumpiness. But now she'd admitted it. She shuddered and remembered another threat. She could not lose control.

OOC: There's no way Star would be allowed remotely close to the crew without being killed. He's already established himself as completely unwilling to follow orders, and the crew suffered for it dearly - he didn't show any remorse for his actions to anyone who could see. People like that have no place in a military/paramilitary environment. I've tolerated that before, bending my characters far OOC to make excuses for having characters like Angora and Star who are habitually disobedient; I've put my foot down on that, however, and my characters will act exactly like they should have been acting towards those kinds of characters. That, and he was last stuck in the middle of the brutal storm with no recourse; it would take a deus ex machina to pull him out.

OOC: Understood. No return. Though I'm left to wonder why you used that post solely to answer my OOC question. Maybe Ilasi had nothing to say, i don't know. But either way. Star's not returning to the RP then (I guess the assumption would be he perished in the storm). His habit of courting death finally caught up with him. I'll have other ideas. Come to think of it, I already do, but none feel usable.

Maverick didn't like talking about such a subject. If there was a slight chance Star survived, he hoped he lived a happy life, somewhere out there. For now, this little one seemed to be hopeful for the future, and with Angora and him helping her, he was really looking forward to the rest of the voyage.

Quote: Spyroconvexity
“That’s easer Said than done Angora. I do miss flying the skys with you guys I always hope for that day to come someday.” He said as a bird flew by. “Always free always calm.”

Angora saw what Shade was looking at and understood.
"Well, that time in prison seemed to have soften Sere a tiny little bit. Can you believe he actually came to me to tell me I did a great job with Veris? He has never thanked me for anything, not even that. But... I'm not lowering my guard yet. What if he's just trying to find a way to make me flinch and punish me for something I may do that upsets him? Already tried with Latnok, and... well, you can imagine how well that went." Angora explained, Shade and Maverick being the only ones she felt comfortable enough to talk about such things, especially when it concerned the Guardians.
"I just want this to be over, you know? Maverick still talks to me, but... well, you know his attention is with someone else now, as it's suppose to be. Veris... well, he has been great company. And he keeps me entertained and busy, so there's that. I'm really going to miss that glutonous dummy when we finally leave this ship for good." Angora said gloomily, using her normal voice. She didn't know if the wyvern heard her or was too sleepy to listen to anything, but she was really going to miss him the most.

Mischief, having gotten no response from Ilasi, returns her attention to Maverick. She presses into him affectionately. Whoever this Star was, she'd prove herself unlike him. From what information she had, he'd been a mistake to bring aboard, and she'd prove herself an ally worth having. She'd be good. At the very least she'd be helpful. Even if she proved useless in a fight, she'd prove she had value. She was more than a reminder of someone else... She realized the excitement had caused her to ignore a pressing issue. She had burnt off her energy, and more importantly, she hadn't eaten since her latest nap. Maybe they had snacks? Unlikely. She ignored her appetite. The last thing she wanted was to demand physical resources when nobody else was. Well, except Veris, but apparently that was a given. Besides, she was already demanding attention. She presses a bit harder into Maverick, slowly allowing herself to relax into a drowsy state but not quite sleeping.

Maverick didn't know exactly how to respond to to Mischief's overwhelming affection, so he simply continued holding her. He wondered how alone she was on that island to be this clingy. At first he thought sh was asleep, but when he saw her awake, he had an idea.
"After el capitán returns and deems the island safe, we can walk around, maybe get some food. You will want to enjoy land, since these voyages can get long." Maverick suggested, looking at Ilasi next.
"And of course, we can have a little date." He whispered to his girlfriend, smiling. Ilasi didn't seem too keen on teaching the little fox magic, especially since she was overworked often and still a learner herself, so it was understandable why she wouldn't want to be a teacher.

Mischief's eyes opened a bit more when Maverick spoke. She nodded cheerfully, her big blue eyes displaying affection towards him. After he turned his attention to Ilasi she glanced back at her before turning her attention back towards Maverick. Something clicks in her head and her wagging tail slows to a halt. Maverick and Ilasi were a couple. It wasn't subtle. She realized that if Ilasi didn't trust her it would be best for both her and Maverick to emotionally keep her distance. She gently pulled away and climbed off the hybrid's lap. She curled up on the deck after undoing her robe as usual, moving Digi a bit for convenience. She tapped through the intuitive interface and started studying her own kind and the other species aboard the ship. Digi was confused, as she wasn't letting him help. In fact, she'd outright torn her attention from Maverick in a visibly forced manner. He decided not to query.
Mischief reminded herself she was, by default, not trusted. It was why she avoided staying in a given place too long. Once her contract was complete she'd likely resume wandering. People mistrusted her consistently. Whether for her training or her species, it didn't matter. She long ago realized that there was difficulty in gaining trust from others. So she simply cooperated and left when she felt she'd overstayed her welcome. Which in some cases was sooner rather than later. In most cases actually. All she wanted to do was stay out of trouble and study magick. For now she was signed on as a crew member. She'd do as she was told and stay out of the way if she wasn't needed.

“Maybe one day I will be free maybe Maverick and his girl would want to travel with us? We can even visit Veris if the Guardians allow it.” Shade said. He then gently nuzzled her. “Like I said things got worse but it seems like they are finally turning for the better. You’re Being seen as a hard worker and I’m slowly redeeming myself. Maybe this will lead to me being able to fly once more.”

Ilasi gave Maverick a playful smile in return, followed by a peck on the cheek. Just what wonderful things could they find together here? A fire that was eventually put out suggested some kind of civilization; some more culture to engage with? Perhaps they could even trade things...
Ilasi came to when she noticed Mischief abruptly separating herself from Maverick. What she couldn't figure out, however, was the reason. Perhaps Mischief didn't like her? Or didn't like mermaids? Was she too blunt in her request to follow orders?

Mischief hid her expression as well as she could. She focused HARD on Digi's screen. It actually felt made for her paws, which made sense she supposed. She wasn't actually reading anything past the first word. She was just trying to look busy so she wasn't a problem for Ilasi. Her tail swayed a little as she finally swiped to change what she was viewing. She paused to scratch an itch on her left ear. After dealing with it in doglike fashion she resumed reading. Digi occupied himself with scans and quietly sorting data in the background. Then he checked what she was reading. It was a bit of information on Evolution, and now she was actually showing interest. She tapped a couple times to find the page on her species. Checking what it took to Evolve, she tilted her head at the arbitrary numbering. Digi quietly told her "According to my calculations, you're very close to Evolving into a Zoroark... I've never actually witnessed Evolution. I'm eagerly anticipating it."
Mischief tilted her head and swiped to the Zoroark page. "Oohh! They're beautiful!" Her eyes lit back up for a moment.

Maverick couldn't figure out either why Mischief would leave all of the sudden. Did Ilasi made her nervous? Did she feel rather offended that Ilasi didn't offer to teach her magic?
"Poor thing. She must be too shy yet to interact with many people at the same time." Maverick assumed, not wanting Ilasi to feel offended about the matter.
"You can teach her a little magic if you have the time. That will help you bond... or wait, better yet. You can lend her that magic book I gave you. Look at her. She loves learning from that thingamajig. The book will certainly help her learn and keep her entertained, and I have no doubt it will be something she will really appreciate." he suggested, suddenly remembering about the book when seeing Mischief so concentrated in the information Digi provided.

Angora was glad Shade was being so positive about the matter. She truly hoped she didn't have to bother Shepherd, but he was someone she has so far she could count on when things didn't go so well.
"Well, it will be up to them. Whatever decision they take, it has to be together. In a relationship, both have to agree." Angora said, never being in a relationship herself but knowing a few things on how a heathy one worked.
"Not sure about visiting Veris though. The Guardians... or particularly Sere, may not want us. Plus he's traveling around often, so it may be very hard to encounter him." she specified, though also because she wasn't too keen on seeing Sere or Latnok after this voyage was over despite the former's seemingly better treatment of her.

"Just not right now Shady. It isn't the time. The moment will come... eventually." Angora stated, wondering what was Ilasi's plans after the voyage of the Enduring Legacy was over. If she was paid well, we might not want to leave the contract, but... she has to know by now how much Maverick dislikes the sea after years of bad experience. And about she and Shade, Angora knew Ilasi was prone to jealousy. She has seen how the mermaid isn't fond of Maverick drifting his attention to someone that wasn't her, she she might not be too keen on traveling with companions that will distract Maverick often. She is doing much better at dissimulating, but Angora knew deep inside, that Ilasi wanted Maverick all to herself.

Ilasi still had the book on her shelf, and perused it every now and then when she had time. Letting Mischief borrow it could possibly help out - it would certainly go better than teaching the fox her own magic. If anything, it would keep Mischief distracted, not occupying Maverick's time.
"How thoughtful of you, Maverick," Ilasi complimented, as she turned around to head back into the ship. "I'll be right back."

With Ilasi gone, Maverick approached Mischief again.
"Come on criaturita. What are you nervous about? You have nothing to worry about with us. Look, you like learning magic, right? Ilasi has a nice surprise for you." he said with a wide smile, kneeling down to be closer to the little fox's height and not look intimidating.

By this time, Angora was pacing, sick and tired of waiting there. She was so tempted to leave the ship. She still got the smell of smoke, but decided not to make a big deal out of it. Just how much longer was Sere going to be gone? She was enjoying her time with Shade, but she didn't like being on that ship, especially with land so close.

Mischief finally looks up. "She distrusts me. I could see that easily enough." She didn't sound upset or insulted but utterly defeated. "Few on here trust me. The guy before me was the only example of my species. There's pretty much just you and miss Angora who aren't associating me with that Star guy. But I'm used to a lack of trust, albeit for a different reason. I just keep out of trouble and avoid breaking the rules or drawing attention to myself and I'm safe. Usually. Anyway, I do suppose she's nice. Her distrust is understandable. When you've got literally one example of what to expect, you'll use that as the basis for any and all assumptions. But I can't really enjoy being the focus of somebody whose beloved doesn't trust me. It risks hurting them, at least emotionally." Her ears drooped. "Learning magick is nice, but... Isn't she a healer? I've tried the white magicks, and I'm just no good at it outside of temperature maintenance and cauterizing wounds." Her left ear flicked. She drew her head back and scratched there again. "Sorry, this itch is killing me. Where was I?"
Digi piped up. "Well, currently we're docked at an unidentified island."
Mischief rolled her eyes. "Yes, the island that " she pauses and sniffs the air "STILL smells like smoke. First of all, that wasn't QUITE my question. Second, you're way too literal. Even I at least understand sarcasm and such." She rolls slightly sideways. For a moment the pup struggles to remember what she'd been talking about. "Ah, right! I'll copy the spells into my notebook. But casting them is another issue altogether." She flicked her tail in catlike emphasis. "I'm almost worthless as a healer... My skills all appear to be in the other magicks, especially black magick." She tugs her notebook out of her bag and opens it, flicking through pages. From golem creation to banishing rituals, she took down notes on just about every spell she could find, even if she couldn't use it effectively.

Maverick felt very sorry for the little creature, but at least Digi looked like it kept her entertained. Seeing how frustrated she was, he had an idea.
"Ilasi is just a very cautious person. Doesn't mean she doesn't like you. You'll see the surprise she has for you. Now vamos. Let's go. I think you could use a little walk around." Maverick suggested, grabbing her and Digi and holding them while he wasted around the giant main deck. Not only would it help with the bonding, it would give them something to do while they waited for Ilasi to return...

“Angora wanna play with one of my toys?” Shade said .

"Nah, I don't think those toys fit with me." Angora said, having played with some of them and not liking them very much. Her anxiety was becoming evident. She really wanted to get out of there. She wondered if she should pull a prank on the nearby Veris to make things more entertaining, but that likely wasn't a good idea given he wasn't used to such actions.

The time had come.

If there was going to be any kind of fight against Blue and his brotherhood it needed to be done now...

Dex took his place in front others. ”So what is your decision?”

One man took few steps towards Dex and said ”We as the guild of thieves have thought about this. And we think it is not our place to start fights. It is not our way. Thats Why we are not going to be in”

Others took their turns. Some individuals where ready to join, but all the other major factions very out..... it was a disaster.

After everybody had finnished Dex was Angry..... ”Well then go.... But when you find your friends dead dont come back here! Blue wants everything, if you are weaker then him, he does not have use to you! Today you have doomed our way of life!” Dex said trying to controll himself, but not really able to.

Just when everybody was leaving one of the guild members ran to the hall ”Leader leader! It is Blue. The brotherhood has started a large attack against two towns. They have also started fighting inside blackmarkets. They are killing everyone who Refuse to Join them!.........”

————————-

Huntress could notice a group following her. They where trying to make it look like there was nothing going on, but somebody with her experience could easily see what was really happening.
