Actually I don't mind Kaos being the villain in each game, as long as they don't leave important story to the comics/cartoon ( while I plan to watch the cartoon, I don't read the comics due to both money and space concerns....the games should NEVER require other material to follow the story ), but I am beyond sick of Bowser always being the villain in Mario....I mean is it really too much to ask for Wart, Tatanga, Fawful, the Shroobs, the X-Nauts or Dimentio ( or even another NEW villain ) to be the big bad in a main Mario game?

I don't really mind Bowser always being the villain in the main series. Since the main games don't have much of a story, Bowser is a gameplay-centered villain, so it's okay to be always him. He doesn't get much repetitive because Nintendo almost always create new gameplay elements for his battles.

Really not sure what to expect from Skylanders this year or what I want. I know I'd like Swap Force 2, purely because I loved that gimmick, but I'd be surprised if that's what we got. Skylanders has built itself on the back of unique toy innovation and while I have no major complaints about the game, doing vehicles felt a little safe. Personally I think they need to reconnect more to the original concept of you as the portal master and build more interaction into the portal. Lego have done a good job innovating there and I think for kids, that bond between the figure, the screen and the portal itself needs to be strengthened.

One thing you can expect is a multiplayer component again this year, as TfB have specifically hired people to work on that aspect.

Bowser is a better villain than Kaos ever will be. In saying that, it always annoyed me how few times they've made him playable. Meanwhile, I never wanted to have a playable Kaos and here we are with him playable two games out of five.

Bowser really varies too much to be really a straight up love or hate. I really like his self aware and egotistical character in the spinoffs and a few main games(and the guest stars comic,hey it counts), really dislike when he could be replaced by a piece of cardboard with 'villain' written on it with zero change(YES I'M REFERING TO STICKER STAR) who'll do the same things the same way every single time.

Kaos flunctuates a lot too but ever since he broke the laughingstock kid appeal villain "character" from SSF, he's been great. However, you can only push meta so far in a kids' game, so who knows if it'll last D:

But Bowser is playable in a bunch of games. Bowser's Inside Story, Super Paper Mario, all the Mario sports games, all the Mario Kart games, Super Smash Bros, and not to mention Skylanders SuperChargers....

Paper Mario Thousand-Year Door as well though in only a few short "plot" sections. That alone kills Guha Bala's argument that he's never been playable in the plataformers.

I believe he mostly mean't on a 3D playing field.

I think that, with "platform games", he meant the main series. Also, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is an RPG, and I don't remember of Bowser being playable in it. Just in Super Paper Mario (the Wii one).

Bowser's sections in TTYD are mock levels from the original SMB playing exactly like it with a few of his own twists. I don't think that they can be replayed, but they're there.

Okay. Booth this sections and Super Paper Mario are more platform games, right? But still, I think that he meant just the main games of the series. That's why he said this. Just in the wrong way.

Not enough! I want a full fledged adventure with bae, not some mini game in a Mario game or his appearance in a party game.
