I've already mentioned i think a few times my biggest problems with Disney infinity is not having an actual storymode where all characters can join in. and second it bugs the heck out of me that i can't put the characters I purchase into the levels I create. I'd love to create a nice story driven adventure for players to play as But let me work with the characters I purchase, let me make them friends/sidekicks/bosses throughout the adventure i'm creating. This would make me desire to buy characters that I otherwise have no care in owning. But I don't want to work with those silly block people to represent characters important to the story.


But everything about the Infinity line is just poorly planned. Not all characters should have this ground pound. Not all characters needed a long jump provided from the skills. Very little data is actually saved to the figure like skylanders and Amiibo and I'm sure Lego Dimension does. Which has created a lot of headaches when wanting to multiplatform this game.
Talking like they had pride that the Ipad version is almost identical to the PS4/Xbox 1 versions which is just telling gamers that you didn't exactly try to take advantage of the hardware of the next generation.
yeah i'm sorry I always get a rant in my mind about this game so easily.
I'm hoping to see actual improvement and not just people accepting a few little touches here and there and say THIS is why we are buying another playset.
Disney Infinity should truly be the one destroying skylanders in sales but everything just seems poorly done with the games.

I will get disney infinity 3.0 but I might just collect Mulan and wait till the playset is within the 20-30 range.

The farming sounds unique, and personally, I feel like since it is Star Wars, and it's based off of the movies, then maybe it will be more story related and less quest related. Also, Star Wars is a pretty good thing to get excited for!

I don't think they're talking about actual farming as in planting and harvesting but "farming" exp. and in game currency as similar to MMO "farming". For 2.0 people made a lot of exp. farm/trigger maps that just created enemies in kill switches for endless exp. It was cheap and I personally considered it an exploit but it was using in game mechanics so I don't judge those that did. It cheapens the experience but you have the option to partake or not.

i dunno if im gonna laugh or not.. releasing 2.0 now is pretty pointless. it should be 3.0 and star wars... then it would help selling the psvita for sure. its a bit sad that the psvita is treated like an abortion by sony...


i wish skylanders could come to the psvita, then there would be 3 games to play and use the figurines with. but who knows this could get activision thinking, so they release a psvita skylanders version at some point.

Depending on how one looks at it ...

- At the end it will be 104 characters so that we know currently not more as the half of the new ones. They said something about new Play Sets, that they will reveal later, but we'll see if it will be meant really new Play Sets or only the Ep. VII or the Marvel Play Set, from that we know just two characters. But were talking about - if I'am not miscounted - 22 unknown characters and let's say that it will be also 5 characters for each Play Set, so it could be minimum one more.
- Release: 09-01-15, but so far it's just a play holder term

If this is to be believed, it really seems like they've deepened the game play over all. If this is half as good as they make it sound this should be an amazing game.

BUT that is just me. I want to see them go much further.

I'm currently deciding between this game and LEGO Dimensions... I'm thinking this game, but if I do decide that I'm gonna get rid of my copies of 1.0 and 2.0 because it's not like I'll play 'em anymore.

BUT that is just me. I want to see them go much further.

Other than Star Wars???...what else is there lol. There aren't very many good Star Wars games that have come out in recent memory. There's Battle Front later this year but that's a different experience. 3.0 does everything it's always done while adding some new mechanics, overhauled melee combat system and, Carting as well as what looks like an amazing Star Wars toy play set(s). Even if you're not into Star Wars there's plenty going on. I'm really curious about the new combat system tweaks. I also think this looks better than anything we say for 2.0. Endor, Tatooine, Hoth and Geonosis all look spectacular while the characters and pieces still look like toys.

I hope General Grievous is playable. He's already been confirmed to be in the game, but as an enemy. But because he can't use the force (which all other playable Clone Wars characters have, so it might be important to the playset), I'm worried he won't be in. He could be Toy Box only, though.

What does everyone else think?

I would love to see him and just to let you know both Han Solo and Chewy cna be used in that playset and can't use the force so I that wouldn't effect his chances but I get more of a falcon/loki vibe from him so it would make sense to see him come out later here is hopeing anyways.

I loved all the cry babies in Game Informers comments regarding the lack of space battles (WTF DICE, REALLY!!!???!!!) in Battle Front but Infinity will have them...lol. Now I will be able to spend money on figures and not blind bagging discs. Having Star Wars they could have gone down the $$$ road but they chose to do something in the opposite direction and really show the fans/players that it's not always about the money.
