"It is possible to amputate him then get him a new leg, just a bit of a journey." he turned to Velia, "I see someone's checking me out, I wonder why..." he said, grinning.

Kade looked down in thought. He had never witnessed the darkness tainting the living, but he new it could happen.
"Hey, I just realised... Shade appeared to be the one who caused the darkness in the first place... However, he got injured, meaning he wasn't the one who did it..." He thought for a moment before continuing, "could someone here be... Corrupted?"

Poleire and his friends looked around, hearing Kade, "Yes, one of us isn't who they say they are." Navy commented.

Velias neutral look immediately turned into a full-out glare, and she turned away, she then glanced at the others when they spoke and nodded thoughtfully. "That's just what I was thinking, moments ago..." She murmured, flicking her tail.

"And while I can't be one hundred percent certain, I did happen to notice a few things during and after that battle beyond Shades situation that seemed somewhat... Convenient." She went on.

Darakon began by saying, "Like?" but cut off when he saw what was happening on the other side of the glade, "What is that dragon doing?" he said to the others, rushing over and blasting a wave of shadow at the tendrils, they got bigger and he tried fear, no effect, and he couldn't just command them to stop because that would arise suspicion and to be honest, he didn't want them to stop. "Somebody help this guy out, light element?"

Flasheris fired a beam of light and electricity in the direction Darakon pointed.

"How couldn't that be convenient? You're all helpless, tangled on webs....Webs" came a sinister mocking voice that turned into a regretful and almost angry sentence, something had very much happened whilst he was away from being blasted into space.

He slowly walked forwards, the motions were clearly all wrong like he was having trouble shifting back into the group after being launched by the blast out of sight. Occasionally he was twitching like mad and jerking his muscles as they had little spasms. Something was very much wrong with him

Some strange like skin substance covered his entire body in a shade of black, and where the eyes should be could be described as white patches or blobs acting as eyes. Occasionally these patches changed sharp as if a deeper glare made a inverted triangle shape to indicate anger. The only thing that was changed seemed to be his mouth and even then more teeth seemed to of grown there and a long tongue briefly flickered out. On his back emerging from the black skin substance came tendrils that unlike the others from before seemed to be organic in nature then magical.

Darakon frowned, "I think we found our corrupted..." he yelped, and proceeded to back away. Making a wall of fear between the dragon and the group.

Animosity towards Darakon forgotten, Velia bounded over to where Avia stood beside Shade, shaking off her shock and disbelief at the sight of this monstrosity and crouching defensively.

The foursome prepared themselves to fight off this fiend.

Kade growled at the corrupted dragon, "dose anyone know of a weakness besides the light element?" He asked.

"I think electricity, and maybee Ice..." said Darakon, standing behind the shield.

"Damn... Would fire help?" He started getting nervous.

"I don't know, try it..." replied Darakon, actually feeling fear because that dragon didn't know he was already corrupted, and in trying to corrupt him, may inadvertently kill him.

"Elemental barrage combo." Poleire said.

He unleashed a stream of fire and ice, while Flasheris shot out a beam of light and electricity, Valley fired an earth bullet enhanced by pressurized wind, and Navy shot a blast of water and shadows.

Darakon strengthened his resolve and leapt into the air, "I will drop you like Greece's GDP!" and slammed into the tentacles on the dragons back, then, when he was close enough, he whispered, "I'm corrupted already, by the way, so don't kill me." then he kicked him in the head and leapt back behind the protection of the shield.

Kade used a comet dash to clear out some tentacles.

The kick made him stumble forward and was the perfect opener for the barrage of elementals, when they hit steam was obscuring the view and it was totally unclear what effect the barrage was having. When the steam cleared he wasn't there at all but rather a deep hole and on que he leapt from the hole with marks indicating through it hit he seemed to have been given one heck of a wakeup call.

"You're making it really hard to resist the idea of beating you whelps into the earth but I'm not here to fight you nor did I set those tentacles onto you" He walked back and forth slowly admiring his body and cleaning the dust or rubble off him "I don't care if you believe me or not but I'll be taking my leave now and I can promise you all, in a few short days everything will be for the better with this world"

"What do you intend to do?" Velia questioned warily, slowly raising herself.

He halted his deep thinking on ways to get past the barrier. Turning he seemed to display a very grim and almost serious demeanor. "I'm going to make this land a better place to live in, I'm sick of wars, crime, disasters and needless death. The whole system needs to be purged and everything changed because it's so flithy it sickens me"

"I saw it in your eyes, you were going to risk everything to save her...I too was once like that but then my fear came true and they were gone. Now I want the world to suffer as I shake the very foundations of it and from the ashes making something better", He was gripping his claws hard enough to the point mild bleeding was seen.

Trydan looked closely at the dragon they had been calling Darakon. Something was different about him. Something darker. Trydan pulled together some clouds and electrocuted them causing to become a storm.

Darakon looked at the storm and frowned, moving away from it and bringing the shadows back under his scales, he looked around and saw Trydan looking at him, "Why are you attacking me?" he asked.

"You are darker then those around you. You are not a good dragon. You may even be corrupted." Trydan said making what he said as detached from his own feelings as possible to avoid sounding shy. He moved the storm back over towards Darakon.

Navy looked at Trydan; he shared his suspicions, "I agree, nothing like this has happened until you arrived."

Poleire and the two dragonesses looked at Navy curiously, "Are you sure about that? He was attacked as well." Flasheris asked.

"It's not hard to force your own creations to attack you." Navy replied.

"If it's true ..." Valley looked at Darakon.

After retrieving Shades book for him, Avia watched the following exchanges in wary silence, as Velia listened with a somewhat conflicted look to the mutated Dragons words, though she did glance in Darakons direction from time to time.

"Lets see what you really are. All of us." Trydan said fully aware that this would knock him out cold. But he had decided that in these dark times any uncorrupted dragon was his friend and therefore he needed to help them. Trydan started chanting some words that sounded vaugely like the language that Shade had said his spell in.

Fear grew in Darakon's heart. Where they about to uncover him? He put up his invisible arcane shield but, not knowing the nature of the spell, it meant it was hard for him to know what shield to put up to deflect it. He gestured to the OBVIOUSLY CORRUPTED dragon in front of them and said, "What about him? None of this happened before he came either! Or that one (pointing at Trydan), or Velia and Avia, or Shade, why are you putting the blame on me for?"

He turned away and when he looked back his eyes were glistening, "Wherever I go, i'm never trusted, anywhere. Even when I go to a totally peaceful country, they think I'm there trying to start a war, and now, here I am, helping you against the shadows and you accuse me of working with them! Great. Do your stupid spell thing and then you'll see, you'll all see, that you should've trusted me all along."

And with that he sat on the floor, idly scratching runes into the floor around him.

"What if he isn't corrupted? What if we made a mistake? What would happen if you perform such a spell on one who isn't corrupted?" Kade asked in quick succession. He didn't want to be responsible for someone's death.

The runes that Darakon was scratching on the ground were deception runes, they were used to make someone appear a certain way even if they weren't really like that at all. So for example, a red dragon could appear to be a yellow dragon. He set them so that he would continue to look the way he was no matter what, and the runes themselves were under their own spell, they appeared to everyone but Darakon to be healing runes.

He tapped the runes once and they shimmered purple for a second then dimmed, ow he would keep this appearance up even if the spell got past his arcane shield.

As he finished chanting he started feeling dizzy. Even though he was dizzy he was able to look Kade in the eye and say, "Don't worry it only revels any digusing spells and removes them. Good night." With that Trydan was out.

Darakon cursed as he felt his scale disguise go down, but the runes still kept his image up. Yet the runes were flickering and slowly appearing as what they were, disguising runes. The spell dissapated, and with a deep breath, he put his disguise back on just before the runes failed and dissapeard. He exhaled. "See! I'm normal, just like all but one of you!"

"Don't get too close! He could be planning something," Kade said before realising he didn't know their names.

"And if you need more light, then I can help." Flasheris remarked.

"If I may interrupt..." Avia murmured, stepping forward to face Dez.

"Just how many creatures are you intending to hurt to achieve this, and how many that deserve it?" The white Dryphon asked warily, not quite liking where this was going.

"As many as I have to achieve this goal, but make no mistake I don't intend on innocent blood being spilled, people will get hurt for sure but tis just a little bump on the head...boo hoo get over it" Dez spatted, as if explaining himself was a chore.

Darakon smiled, "Sure." and grasped Shade's hand in a firm grip, it hurt, he couldn't deny that, but it wasn't as bad as it could've been, Avia's plasma attack had hurt him much more and he didn't even receive any burn marks, so enduring this was easy, he began whistling. After five minutes had passed, he asked, "How much longer, my feet are beginning to hurt from standing here all day... And also we got that big guy over there planning who knows what, we kind of need to stop him..." Darakon shook his head and laughed, "But hey, it's only our lives you're jeapordising, take your time, finding out if a dragon who isn't corrupted is actually corrupted is much higher on your priority list..." and with that he began whistling until Shade would let go.

"As am I." Navy replied after Shade.

Darakon groaned, "There a better things to be keping your eye on but oh well." then he turned to Dez.

Trydan groaned as he tryed to think. He was still have unconcious and couldn't move but could tell his spell hadn't been able to work completely. Something had blocked his spell long enough for it to fail. If only he could move enough to get into his bag he could at least help fight the undeniably corrupted dragon.

Darakon was looking at Vez when the Shadows struck, they came in from the boughs of the trees and between the roots and swarmed towards the group, the completely ignored Vez but attacked everything else, trying to cover al the dragons. Darakon cursed, the Shadows were going Primal again, they weren't waiting for his orders and had attacked at the wrong time! Then, as they turned to him, he began running, he couldn't fight them, and they seemed to not remember that he was their master, so he kept on running.

"To battle once more." Poleire said, bracing himself for the fight.

Darakon created a ball of Fear below him and squatted on top of it, looking fearfully (with actual fear) down at the shadows.

The shadows leapt up and ate Poleire while they swarmed towards Flasheris and Valley while another aimed for Navy's head as it leapt from a tree.

Poleire froze the shadow with his ice breath, while Navy shifted into his shadow form to dodge the attack. Valley created a tornado around them and Flasheris unleashed a blast of light.

Darakon slipped under the fear ball and the shadows got to him, he attempted to cimb back up but they were clinging to him like glue, they were swarming over him and he had nothing else he could do, delving deep inside himself, he called down a Chaos Meteor from the Sky and it landed right in the centre of the plain, creating a massive explosion and leaving a large crater. The meteor had landed on his right leg, crushing it in place even ass the rest of his body was pushed away, the leg ripped and he rolled to a stop, bleeding. His last thought was, "Well, at least it won't blow my cover, I mean, no sane dragon would attack themselves, corrupted or no, so it would make sense for that meteor to have come from somewhere else." then his thoughts went blank and he fell unconscious.

Velia cursed at the sight of the shadows, it was just one crisis after another today! Blasting electricity at the nearest ones to her, Avia literally jumped into action and simultaneously incinerated and shredded another bundle of shadows with fire-charged claws. The move earlier had certainly done a number on them, but they weren't exactly at "pushover" level yet, so long as they didn't try anything major.

Seeing the chaos meteor descend upon the ground, Velia was quick to spread a thick cloak of Darkness around herself and her sister, the cloudlike mass shielding them from the power of the blast.

Darakon groaned with the pain of his missing leg, "Bl***y meteor took of my leg, help anyone?"
