Shadmé suddenly heard shouting. Looking up she blinked as she realized the inhabitants were discussing something, all together. Something about a "giant spider". Could this have been the one that destroyed the village? Shadmé might be too late. Her teeth gritted together she pushed through the crowd, looking for the enemy.

Rius clicked her tongue in disappointment, lowering her arms as her mana dissipated and her smile faded. She turned towards the power behind the throne, "It seems I've lost the only clue given to me." She said flatly.

"It appears so. You said you had a companion. She an elven lady, like yourself?" Regine asked as she saw Sashe rushing over.

"Rius, I found out where Nias is."

"Where was it?" Shadmé demanded out loud in desperation. A Banar man shrugged. "I'm hearin' it's gone now. But...it was by the gov'rnment building."
Shadmé turned to him with interest. Attacking the throne? That was just who she needed to see! And with that attack, their ruler was sure to listen to her. "Could you tell me which direction?"
The gentleman pointed and with newfound hope, Shadmé began heading towards it.

ooc: King Grattus was a fun character to create. Once you actually get Shadme to him I'll post as him.

"Indeed" Marrius replied to Regine. She turned towards Sashe, a small smile returning to her face."Well, Defiler? Where was this Nias?" Rius asked, crossing her arms

"You know the Legend of Avastia? In it, the four corrupted countries wer Silos, Zemna, Mored, and Nias." Sashe explained.

OoC: Oh dear...

Shadmé soon saw what could only be the government building in the distance. She pushed past the crowd to get to the guards. After glaring behind her, she attempted to sneak past the guards and get in the building. She looked around for the king.

OOC: Which room are you in, Shadme?

Rius went quiet before her smile spread wider across her face, her eyes flashing. "So, this Nias is from that old wives tale? I don't care much for the tales of legends and such but this... this is a development." She said, turning from Sashe. "Say this orc is from Nias, if the spider wasn't a liar... Then this game will have gotten much more interesting."

"True. According to the archives, Nias does exist though. It's south of Vallhal. Which is the southernmost country. The Legend of Avastia could have attached a real place to itself." Sashe informed Rius.

OoC: The entrance? X3

ooc: ok

A light, yet scratchy voice called from the Throne Room, "Mother? Is that you? I've been waiting for twenty-five years.... for you to give me some delicious PIE. We can then go our seperate ways.

Shadmé froze as she heard the voice. What is he talking about...oh wait. She recalled the townsperson telling her how idiotic the king was. Could that be him? "Your majesty," Shadmé called into the room, tentatively stepping forward, "I'm the Dark Angel, from Aetahar. I was flying over your lands when I saw a town entirely destroyed. You may wish to hear of it."

"Oh. You're not mother. Um... I DEMAND YOU MAKE PIE BEFORE I ACKNOWLEDGE YOU! Yep. Well done, Grattus. Stupid Ateian. Thinking I know things. Did I say that out loud?"

Shadmé decided to ignore that last part. "But sir, I do believe that the destruction of a town, a part of your country, is important. Wouldn't you think so too?"

"I would think so, yes. But why are you telling me about it? Go telll someone with higher cognition."

This guy's an idiot. "Who would you recommend, sir?" Shadmé asked through gritted teeth. She didn't want to remind him he was the king. Who knew what could happen?

"I never implied the country itself didn't exist, my dear defiler." Rius stated as she turned back towards her, pacing as she spoke. Her smile wide across her face as she chuckled, "I would like to make the conjecture that the spider works for the orc, and if so that these creatures from Nias simply aren't going to stop with a swat on the wrist."
Marrius turned stopping as she faced Regine, straight faced as she continued. "An army of monsters wiped out your largest city and one acted as child to most likely gain intelligence on the state of the capitol. What will you do, Miss power behind the throne?"

"Currently," the human began, "We don't know the location of the enemy army. Once we do know this... we cannot face them head on. They have beasts from all countries. But," Regine added, "We... could act as insurgents. Get the population out of the capitol. Skirmish with the things we do know how to fight, if we can find them. We need to draw this out. Ultimately, we need help. Banshees are nearly as dangerous as dragons, and much more when in pairs. But the Dewl are the only peoples who have seen them. Dragons populate Flugu. Basilisks are native... goblins and ogres live everywhere. We need assistance. If you would, I would like to send you to Umbra, the capitol of Dewlaine, along with this." she brandished a daimond, carved into a curious symbol.

Grattus paused for a moment, before replying, "Ask Regine, she always seems to fix my problems. Yes yes, ask her."

OoC: Where is everyone else?

ooc: Ouside of the hospital for Sashe, Rius and Regine.

"Do you know where I may find her?" Shadmé requested. "Then I will leave your sight." Oh, if only I'd done so earlier!

Rius glanced at the letter, "I have two more things I would like to address before I accept such a task. The first of which is a contradiction. If the spider wanted to come here and wreck havoc or spy on your capitol, why come across the border of another country to find a professional such as myself?" Marrius asked, her smile fading. She began pacing once more. "I've ran a few scenarios in my head, and of course none of them would be beneficial to a creature in Tref's position. So, why call an outsider in at all?"
She paused, her smile returning. "The second matter is simpler and much more easily resolves. I'll deliver this for you if you deliver something for me. More specifically, Regine, I'd like you to inform representatives of power in Psyche of my where about and that I'm not creating an army enslaved by magic." Rius chuckled at whatever thought passed through her mind before she explained, "I'm not supposed to leave the country without giving word, and well... I'm enjoying this game too much to go back at the moment."

"The second one is very easily resolved. The first... I do not understand niether you nor your companion wear Banarian gear. Yet he brought both of you here."

"It's quite a contradiction to any one the benefits that would proceed to storming a capitol." Rius said, crossing her arms. "Of course, it could be for show purposes. Our attacker could also find themselves playing a game as I am. Leaving us clues where none lie as if to lure us into the story... " Marrius sighed, shaking her head. She meet eyes with Regine as she stated her next sentence, "Of course, they'll have to do a better job at pulling strings."

Sashe thought for a moment, tilting her head to one side as she did so. "Unless we're looking at this the wrong way, and they know exactly what they're doing. We're both dangerous, and influential, in our own ways. Our countries are both close to this one, and this country itself has no heros, nor villians. They could mean to wipe out the only people in their way."

"It is a possible solution, but we are only two people against numbers and odd unknown. While sure both of us could make a dent, we alone are not an army and certainly wouldn't survive against one alone." Marrius stated, before her eyes flashed with recognition and her smile widened. She let out a laugh as she stated her next sentence, "I'd like to present the most likely scenario to the power behind the throne of Banar. Entice two champions from the nearest countries, and destroy one of them while their 'saviors' are away... Then destroy the country in between." Rius presented, her malicious smile showing as she let out another fit of laughter.

"Don't get me wrong, it's not like either of our countries don't have an army of their own. However! Neither of us can go to any country with absolute certainty we know which is being targeted!"

ooc: I may be wrong, but the tactician part of me is trying to kick some hind side!

Ooc: You might be right. *shrugs nonchantly*

"This theory makes sense. So shall we head to Dewlaine?" the elf asked. Volku... destroyed? She'd thought about causing it before, yet, someone else attempting it seemed wrong to her.

"Of course. I already agreed to make this delivery." Rius said, her smile waning to an eerie grin. "Let's be off as soon as we're able."

OoC: Answer meeee! D: I'd like Shadmé to go with you guys soon because she has Dewlaine history...

Ooc: Oh yeah.

Grattus scratched his chin, thinking. "She said something about hospitals, if my memory serves me," he finally answers. "Check there."

"Thank you, my lord," Shadmé replied before turning tail and quickly walking to get out of the castle. She shuddered slightly at the encounter with Banar's king, but was glad she was out.
It only occurred to Shadmé as she departed that she didn't know which way the hospital was. Grumbling in frustration, she stumbled off in a direction.

Marrius sighed as she paused, "We'll need supplies for the journey. Regine, can you direct us to where such supplies might be found?" She asked as face devoid of her normal eerie smile.

A little while later Shadmé had gotten some information from another Banar inhabitant and was seeing the hospital in her sights. At least, she thought it was the hospital. It was in complete ruin, and looked like it'd been attacked. I hope Regine's alright, sheesh! This is a mess! She stared at it, dumbstruck, then began moving towards it and picked her way around the wreckage to see if anyone was still around. "Er, hello?"

OoC: For some reason I thought it was the castle that got attacked. >.<' Sorry. Usually I'm not this sloppy when it comes to reading comprehension...

ooc: The spider smashed the hospital...

ooc: Now I wait for a response.

Regne nodded promptly. "You can take supplies from the castle. Banar needs aid, and even if Grattus objects, no on listens to him."

Marrius raised an eyebrow at the notion, but nodded. "The help is a great benefit to us. But, I must ask, why is there a puppet king. Most societies would have revolted and hanged him, not place him as a figure head." She asked, placing her hand an her chin.

Regine explained, "The people enjoy the fact that disregard for Grattus goes unpunished. Grattus is annoyed by responsibility, and I always fix his 'problems.'"

Marrius nodded and then smiled, added in a only half mocking tone, "So the people refuse to address an actual authority and don't revolt. If I hadn't have known better, I'd believe that I had taken their response to such affairs from them!" Her eyes flashed as she said that, "Politics, I must say I'm impressed with them for once!"

ooc: Bump!

"I'd hope so. I myself find this situation a pleasant arrangement," Regine responded in a sarcastic tone. In a tone one could mistake as seductive, she asked, "Would you not"

Rius raised an eyebrow at the tone of Regine as she spoke, "I would, a puppet king would make for an interest plaything. And the games one could enjoy with such a doll!" She said, completely seriously with no signs of sarcasm other than her typical lax tone.

"Yes. Political puppets are fun to play with, especially when destroying their reputation builds on yours," Regine states, walking toward the palace.

Sashe followed behind the pair.

Rius followed Regine, her smile growing as she spoke. "That would make for an interesting game, especially if the other puppets would stand for it." She paused her speech as she lost herself in her thoughts for a moment, her violet eyes lost in thought. After a moment she continued, "Perhaps I'll play such a game once I finish this game placed in front of me. "

OoC: So the rest of you are going back to the Banar castle? Sheesh, feels like I'm always a step behind...

Ooc: Accordig to the way you worded your post, we're heading toward eachother.

After a while of searching, Shadmé sighed. If Regine was as smart as Grattus had made her out to be, then she most likely escaped this. Perhaps she was back at the palace. As much as the Aetean didn't want to go back, she was still hopeful of the chance that Regine would be there. So after brushing some dust off her clothes, she began walking back to the palace.

Regine and the spellweavers had made their way back to the palace. Regine stopped, and turned around. "The Supply room is down the hall."
