Fireflight only sat there in silence. she didn't move or say anything. she only sat there and looked at Silro, with sad and frightened eyes.

'There is a way to stop it. But i dont know what will happen to me, you or snow or nightfire.'

she looked at him. "Shadow, i've lost too much to lose someone else.......i can't bare to let it happen again........i'd rather have Silro alive................ and me dead............then the other way around........" she said.

Shadow sighed and realised she wouldnt change her mind.
'Fireflight, if you have Silro never go dark, he may never go rouge. But this carries a risk. If he goes dark for any reason, all the darkness he would have used if he went rouge then, will be doubled and could possible kill him.'

"then i'll heal him..........and don't say i can't, because i know a way to fully revive someone..........but by doing that.........it takes the life of the one thats healing.........and gives it the one that needs to be healed........" she said. you could tell that she would give up her life to protect the ones she loved.

'Listen.....Remember when Silro had to errupt? He was almost killed by it. But now, Silro isnt much stronger, and the darkness would be twice the strength. It would be the same, only he wouldnt live.'

she looked away. she wouldn't let someone else she cared for die. she couldn't lose someone else. she knew that she had to find a way to keep him and the anyone else from dying.

Shadow wondered what Fireflight would do.

Fireflight looked down at Silro. she couldn't let him or any of the others die. as she looked down at him, she started to glow black...

'fireflight, youre going black.' Shadow said as he saw her change.

she looked at herslef. her color was getting darker. her eyes then glowed black. she tried to control it, to stop it, but nothing happened.
"uh oh!" she said, she knew it would only be a matter of time before she would be pure evil. "this isn't good! Shadow, you need to go, now! i can't stop it, and once it completely takes over, it'll attack you! i can't lose you too! please go before its too late!" she said.

'Fireflight! No! If you need help, then im not leaving!' He said. He wondered what to do if she did attack.

she was getting darker, you could tell she was trying to fight it.
"Shadow......you can't help me! i can't even stop it! just go! save yourself before its too late! i can't..........fight it...........for much..........longer!" she said, then her color turned black, her eyes glowed solid black. she looked at him. she started to walk towards him.

'Fireflight.....calm down....i havent done anything to you......nor will i.....' Shadow said, beginging to walk backwards.

she stared at him with solid black eyes, as she walked towards him. she growled as she got closer. everything that got close to her got darker. she stopped, but continued to look at him with black eyes.
"no one can stop me now!" she said ni an evil voice.
Goldsong was watching, she knew she had to help.
"Shadow............" she said to him telepethy. "there is a way to stop her............mention Nightfire's dad, Silro. the fact that she loved him will stop her cold. and her duaghter Starfire, who was taken from her and killed. make her remember everyone she has lost, and she will return to normal" she said.

Shadow took one more step back and almost fell off the cliff they were at. The drop was over fiftey meters, and even though Shadow could fly out of it, whats to say Fireflight wouldnt attack him and damage his wings and then throw him off. HE would be killed then.
'Fireflight, stop this now! You dont need to be like this.'

she looked at him. "you can't stop me! even if you could, you won't! your weak now that your good! and now, you'll die!" she said.
"Shadow, make her remember the loved ones she lost, its the only way!" said Goldsong, "just say thier names, and she'll stop. all you need to do is repeat the names, and she'll return to normal!" she said.

Shadow looked at Fireflight, then down the cliff. He turned back to Fireflight.
'Fireflight! Would...'

she looked at him, she wasn't moving closer, she wasn't attacking, she was just standing there, staring at him and growling. it didn't seem like she would fight.
"Shaodw, remind her of herl oved ones, or your dead! its the only way to turn her back to normal! if you don't remind her of herl oved ones, then she'll kill you!" she said.

'It doesnt look like she is going to attack' Shadow replied to Goldsong via telepathy. He waited to see what Fireflight would do.

"shes only making you think that! she'll kill you if you don't stop her!" she said. Fireflight only stood there, she stared at him and growled, but that was about it. she didn't move closer, she didn't attack, she only stood there.

Shadow got ready to try fly away by spreading his wings out.

Fireflight watched as he was getting ready to fly.
"shadow she'll kill you before you can move! stop her now before its too late!" she said. Fireflight didn't move, she onlt continued doing the same thing as she watched him get ready to fly.

'Look! she doesnt know who really killed Silro so it doesnt matter!!' Silro said, forgetting to do it in telepathy. He then went into shock and hoped Fireflight wouldnt geuss it was him.

Fireflight stopped growling and staring at him. she took a few steps back. her color got lighter, she was a grey color now. and her eyes were back to normal. she stepped back a little farther, she was still a grey color.

'Fireflight.....dont think.....dont think i did it!'

she didn't say anything, she only back away from him. her color got lighter, she was a light grey now. she kept backing up, and she didn't notice that there was an edge of a cliff behind her, as she continued to back up.

'Fireflight! Listen to me! I didnt...' Shadow then saw her about to walk off the edge. 'FIREFLIGHT!! STOP!!'

Fireflight was about to stop, but then one of her back paws went off the edge. she then fell, just barely hanging onto the cliff edge with her front paws. she was starting to slip, she couldn't hld on for much longer. while she hung there, her color got lighter, she turning to a red-ish color now.

'Fireflight!!' Shadow shouted as he ran over to help.
'Fireflight!! Hold on to my paw!!'

she grabbed his paw, and held on tight. her color was becomming a darker red now.

'Thank you' Shadow said, before he felt a sudden pain from behind him, making Fireflight almost slip out of his hands.

Fireflight was still holding onto him. "Shadow! don't let go!" she said, she knew something must be wrong, he wouldn't jsut drop her off the edge of the cliff. she didn't know what else to do, so she used her shadow powers to take them both far away from the cliffs.

i have to go, bye.

Shadow lay on the floor breathing heavily. He had his eyes closed in pain and was breathing from his mouth.

How are people meant to know where to start from

i'm back.

Fireflight walked over to him, and looked at him.
"i won't let you die Shaodw...." she said, then she tried to heal him.

'Wh...Who was that?' Shadow asked, sloely opening his eyes, still in pain.

she looked at him, as she healed him. "i don't know. i didn't see who attacked. i just knew something was wrong, so i used my powers to take us somewhere safe" she said.

'Then why didnt you use your powers to stop yourself from falling off a cliff?' Shadow asked curiously.

she looked away. even she wasn't sure why she didn't use her powers then. "i..............don't............know...." she said.

'Youre meant to be Empath dragon with so much power, and youre saying you didnt use them there?!'

she walked away, and sat down with her back facing him.
"look.......i.......don't know why i didn't use them..........maybe i..........was just...........not smart enough to think to use them........." she said.

'Im im not smart enough to lie to her' Shadow muttered under his breath.

she was still sitting where she was. she looked at him, "did you say something Shadow?" she asked.

'Huh? Oh, nevermind.

she looked away. *theres something hes not telling me....* she thought. *then again.......everyone has thier secrets.....* she thought.

'SHADOW!!' The voice shouted. It was male.

Fireflight wasn't paying attention, so she didn't notice someone yell. she was looking out the window, looking up at the sky, and thinking.

'What?! Youre meant to be...' Someone then appeared infront of Shadow.
'What?! Dead?!!'
'I'll kill you this time!!'
