anyone heard of the gamestop expo? i heard giants is getting a booth. anyhow, if any of you go, could you take a picture of the all the characters (like the character map in skylanders adventure) and maybe even a pic. of the speculated expo exclusive. (like chrome spyro). thanks

the sidekicks are in a combo pack type bag. its a large bag that has pictures of the skylanders sidekicks on it.

Ah, that's true. I was only thinking about a shield like Chop-Chop's, where he actually holds it. Now that I look back at her art from the Giants poster, her shield does look like it's mounted on her arm.

Still though, a spear wielding Skylander would have been cool, I think Flameslinger could've managed as the only archer in the game.

maybe chill's bow is also like a sword. so she can use it like a sword and a bow. and then she also has her sheild.

Haha really? That's awesome! Naming him "Hot Dog" was just something I had made up for him, I had no idea it would catch on like this!

But I just want to make it clear to everyone, no matter how much I wish Toys for Bob would actually name him Hot Dog, that name has NOT been confirmed.

Thats because an alchemist is kinda like a job and judging by pop fizz's bio he IS an alchemist so that would be like being named after your job. my name then would be artist-author.

Skylanders Giants Trading Cards! (Probably been posted on here, but I'm not searching over 38 pages to check) They're set for release in September so hopefully we'll know all giants by then, and if not we can get the cards to find out.

the trading cards dont do anything in the game, so i am not getting them. if i did it would just be pokemon cards all over again

^I suppose there is a possibility it unlocks something in Spyro's Universe. Probably the same way that the Skylanders Annual 2013 unlocks whatever it gets you on Spyro's Universe (I think you enter a certain code where you put web codes in.)

GameStop Announces Exclusive Skylanders Giants(tm) Battle Pack



Exclusively at GameStop, Skylanders Giants fans can pre-order the Golden Dragonfire Cannon Battle Pack that expands your Skylanders Giants game play with new battle arenas and figures. This limited edition battle pack features the Golden Cannon and unlocks an exclusive in-game battle arena.

I believe it is save to say remodeled chop chop and ShroomBoom, not light core, are in wave on.

Hmm..I wonder if maybe they've done away with "location" and "Magic" items, and just combined them into one thing. So while the Cannonpiece will unlock the battle arena, it'll also be able to be used in the level to launch stuff and enemies.

They did, so that'll mean even more exclusive figures . Unless they have 2 battle packs and 2 adventure packs this time rather than 4 adventure packs.

@bionicle Well I mean they will be in wave one because of this pack so we know they are for sure on wave one. However I did not know they were exclusive. I'm not preordering it though.

All the articles seem to be quoting from the same press release - it's really unclear what 'exclusivity' GameStop are actually getting from the battle pack. I'm gonna presume that they'll just get it before everyone else like how some of the SA adventure packs got timed exclusivity in TRU.

Edit: Also, I've just realised, does this mean that the battle mode is coming to the 3DS version as well? I mean, it was different with SA because the location items unlocked a new arena and level; and just a level for the 3DS version. What if you only had the 3DS version and wanted to get a S2 Chop Chop and regular Shroomboom, would you waste your money having the Golden Dragonfire Cannon that doesn't do anything?

I think it's just because he's a series 2 figure. BUT, I can't really tell. This is what the series 2 icon looks like:



And this is what the LC icon looks like:



They are quite similar. I can't really make out the '2' on the icon on the box art, but I think the design looks more like Trigger Happy than Prism Break. We will wait and see.

Edit: Actually, I think the box art for LC characters has the word 'Lightcore' in their name.

Yup. That's the series 2 logo. I could see trigger happy flexing his arms.
