This cat is actually based off my toy cat that my friend gave me yesterday for my birthday, its markings and colours are all the same and my friend even put a bell from one of those chocolate rabbits on it. But I'm stuck with the cat's name and even gender. Maybe Blayze can help me out with that, seeing as she was the one that requested it anyway, but for anyone that wants to help, feel free! :3

This took much quicker than the Tex one because I wasn't caught up on the internet... that much...

Before I give you an example, Thats just the thing. If theres similarity between two people's art, isn't there something a tad wrong there?
If I saw something identical to uhmmm...i dunno, anybodys art it'd throw me for about eight loops in my art process and-
(several..hours..later)

You have your own opinion and that's okay, I'm not hating what you say. I believe that everyone has their own opinion and seeing as the internet is a free to speak place, everyone has the right to say what they want. :3
But yeah, I've seen other cat artists and a few of them has a style similar to mine. But I never got my style from them... I guess it just comes naturally to how I draw. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, IF, but my friend wants me to teach her how to draw like me. I still do draw realistic cats because I like to have a break from anime-like cats. Hey, maybe that's why there are styles similar to mine, because the draw cats in an anime style. I know I do and my friends at school, and sometimes even here, recognise that. And I know styles may be the same, but does that mean the whole piece of art is as well? Maybe the style stands out and it blinds people from the real picture? I dunno.

And thanks, Silex! I'm glad you like the animation, and yes I did do it with a tablet but I drew the picture on Photoshop. Photoshop lets me animate stuff. ;3
And the cat is actually based off a cat toy, not a bunny, my friend gave it to me for my birthday. smilie

And I really need to draw more dragons. I went through my sketch book and realised all the pictures were cats (with the exception of a bunny and a *derp* picture of Sally Bollywood) so yesterday I drew Penny 10, any of you remember her? Well... I thought it was so good that I'm deciding to do a digital version of it, lol. But other than that, I seriously need to draw more dragons because at the rate I'm going, people'll think I'm a cat artist when I'm a cat and dragon artist. X3

Hehe, guys I'm back! Sorry I haven't been on lately. :c
I've got a lot of art, and even some I drew on my iPod but I can't get them up on my phone. I can't upload them on my iPod either and my computer at my dad's is old so it doesn't work with dA. I may just have to post the link from my Facebook account. But I will see if there is some way to upload something on dA from my iPod.

And I see art as something you do for fun, and to show yourself. I don't really see art as something to show off, but I still do that anyway. Art is a way for me to get, well, good attention seeing as most of the attention I get is bad. My creativity is one of the only ways I can get good attention.
But I just see art as a way to show youreslf, who you are. Art shows your personality, likes and whatnot if you look at it close enough. Just by the way the picture is set out you can see how the artist was feeling at the time they were painting it. Though if they tried to hide their feelings or were just feeling neutral, you can still see their personality/likes in it. Say if someone drew tte country, it could mean they prefer that over the city, if someone added lots of dark colours they could prefer darkness or were angry or scared when they drew the picture.
Am I making any sence here?

I have lost my inspiration.. Been sitting at the table for hours with my pacer but I cannot think of what to draw. I'm also writing my story for Lazuli and Textoo, and made the announcement that I may make an animated thing for it. smilie

just as i as
sumed, a misunderstanding. I consider art itself to be that very emotion in the drawing. If it were not for the feeling, there would be nothing. The art nowdays -to me- is deadish. Even to myself and my own art. But that is what i ment.

inally, something to cleanse my art block. I hate getting art blocks. X3

Well, I was running low on inspiration today, I spent an hour trying to figure out what to draw. Originally I was gonna draw Starrbit, but I ended up drawing Coal.
Oh, I haven't told you 'bout Coal, have I?
Well, Coal is going to be a main character in unForgoten, Lazuli and Tex's story but I'm going to call it Lazuli, Tex and Coal's story now because of this. You see has has a scar on his eye, yes? I haven't completely figured out how he got it yet, but in my sketch book I drew him with the fresh scar, and a few other wounds as well. But if you wanna know his personality he is tough and likes to get in a few fights, but inside he is a gentle giant. I'll have to work more on his personality though. If you wanna know when I came up with him, it him in that video that won that contest. And one of the teachers put it on YouTube FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-- so I may as well post the link here:

X3 But I came up with the idea to add Coal in unForgotten a few months ago, and that's when he got his scar on his eye. I may as well add in his back-story he got poisoned by polluted water. *shrug*

No truer words have ever been said. ^-^ Most of the time Art = Angst. So, yeah, art is very emotional even if you try to disquise it you can see the emotion in the character, the poses, the backgrounds, and even the color choice or light dynamics. smilie
