"This... is UNBELIEVABLE. Seriously, why does everybody think I am being rude here? I am hardy, I admit, but I wasn't being rude to this snake. Really, first Mambo, and now me! What do you have against keas anyway!? No wonder you guys are so endangered!" the enraged kea answered, feeling very offended on having so many against him.

After a while, the kea kinda regretted saying something that cruel, but he had enough of that. All he did was call Skaliscin a cold-blooded animal, which she was, being a reptile. Nothing to make a big deal about it. "That's it, I'll reunite my sister and tell Theodore we're leaving! I don't care what the boss say. He may tolerate this, but I WONT!" then the kea blasted out of there, without leaving anyone a chance to reply. He was so infuriated, that he didn't notice he never meant what he said...

Skaliscin remained suspended in shocked silence for a moment. After staring at the empty space that once held the angry Kea, her gaze sank down at AJ expectantly, as if he were supposed to understand.

"I didn't mean to scare you. Sorry about that. I'm Voracivenom," the serpent replied with an easing calmness. His gaze was completely devoid of any maliciousness or mischief.

I look at her and reach over gently stroking her scales.

"Everything's going to be alright, Skaliscin. Jaerl will talk to them and convince them to stay. His very personality it enough to convince them."

OOC: Update people. Check the first page one more. Now the artwork can be seen without clicking a link. Plus, I added Brody and the three main keas

"Ok, now that it is all cleared up Sybil, what are you going to do?" a voice was heard. It was Mambo, and he, along with Sybil, were approaching the group.

"Ah, there you are. I see this is quite a fancy reunion. But enough about that. Tell them Sybil." Mambo commented, with his usual smile.

Sybil, who hasn't been seen in a while, finally approaches the group and speaks; "Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around. I've been busy... anyway, Mambo has already found a tree for each of his family, and he has vowed to protect the Haven at all cost. However, he has also told me that you have...mistreated him." she said with some doubt, hoping it wasn't true...

Chica looked at the new snake. "you look very similare to a snake that we know" she said

Chica turned To look At Sybil. "you should have seen what he was saying to rose" she said, "flew into her, not saying sorry, and then mocking her." he should be a mocking bird. she continued, "but I'm still happy he found a home for the rest."

Jaerl walks up to Mambo and offers his wing in friendship.

"Its nice to meet you Mambo. I'm Jaerl, he says with a smile. You didn't get to meet my dad, yet but we can arrange a meeting some..."
Before Jaerl can finish Royal land beside him and offers Mambo his wing in friendship.

"I'm Royal, I'm Jaerl's father," he says with a smile before embracing Jaerl in his wings.

"Oh, you see now, that's better. This is the way you should have started. See little tiger? This is what's called being nice." Mambo replied, trying to embarrass poor little Rose once again. He accepted both Jaerl and Royal's wings. He shakes them really excitedly, shaking both predatory birds whole bodies in the process, and the kea demonstrating once again, his happy, carefree nature...

Gender: Male
Species: Amur leopard [info][more info]
Appearance: He's still a young(ish) leopard [image]. Due to recent events, he now has a gold collar and is quite scarred. His collar can be removed with effort, however the scars will always remain.
Personality: He was cautious and hopeful, but that is no longer the case. Now he is fearful, has developed trust issues, and is uncertain of his future.
Goal: For pretty much his whole life, Sayan was held in a zoo along with a female named Milena. They were potential mates, though the humans limited their interaction. For unknown reasons, she developed an life-threatening disease. Their caretaker(s) tried to help her, but there was nothing they could do. They kept the two separated and Sayan was forced to watch as Milena suffered through the disease. One day the humans injected her with something and she slowly fell asleep... never to wake-up again. Sayan suddenly felt alone and blamed the humans for her death. He remained at that particular zoo 'till the humans decided to transfer him to another zoo. This is when he took his chance and escaped to the orca. He hoped to find another of his kind, so that he may no longer be alone. However, he felt unsafe and out-of-place. Thus, he decided to leave and return to the mainland. He survived in the wild for a bit 'till he got captured. He was then sold to some wealthy Russian as an exotic pet. He was caged, collared, mistreated, and abused. Our of pure desperation, he escaped to an orca and returned to the island.
Other: As of page 35, Sayan no longer has his collar.

OOC: Welcome back redwes

"So, you have decided to return leopard?" the female Orca dropping Sayan to the island commented. She was the one with the white at the tip of her dorsal fin. "You seem in pretty bad shape there guy. I don't think you should have left this Haven. The world out there is pretty dangerous as you may know." she gently commented to him, feeling sorry for the poor Amur Leopard.

"Well then, I suggest you go and look for Sybil. I bet she will he happy to see you again. And I believe she may he able to help you with... that." she said while pointing out at the collar. "Well then, get settled. Oh, and there has been a few changes to the Haven you will see later on. I must leave now, take care." she bids goodbye, before submerging into the water and disappeared.

OOC: Let me say if I can recount the recent events correctly. After I left... one of the elephants died and resurrected as some digging animal. The birds returned and the keas were recruited. Before the return of the birds, one of the two eagles went crazy and started killing off the native population (mongoose?). They somehow get to an agreement and everyone is at peace. That is... 'till the keas show up and start causing chaos. Did I miss anything? (besides the names)

Sayan sadly nodded, "T-Thank-you..." He was still quite unnerved from his experience and went off to search for Sybil. He was still unsure of the island, but trusted it more then his Russian owner.

OOC: Wow, you have been reading, cause that is exactly what has happened

Just as Sayan was getting to know the place, an angry kea almost bumped into him, but stopped just in time. "Oh? Newcomer huh? Well, get back to where you came from! The animals here treat you like human garbage." an angry Cole commented, still blinded by his fury over his poor treatment...

Rose felt hurt at Mambo's comet and ran away crying. I'm sorry. Rose continued to run untill she was out of sight and twords the outback. After awile she stoped running and came to a stop under a tree and layed down crying. "Why does he want to make me cry?" She asked herself.

Sybil watched Mambo with a little anger. "Oh come on. I never meant to hurt her. Sheesh, you would have thought that someone who's going to grow up to be a top predator should be above all that crying." Mambo excused himself, but Sybil continued with her glare. "Oh alright, I'll apologize, but you are abusing your authority miss." he commented to a now smiling Sybil before flying away to look for Rose...

Sayan responded with a sigh, "I can see how you may think that, but you have obviously not experienced what I have. Regardless of how this island is, it is a whole lot better then how those abusive humans treat you. Trust me..." He starts to walk away in search of Sybil.

Royal seeing Rose run off, looks briefly at Jaerl and takes off into the air. Using her amazing eyesight he finds Rose. He lands beside her and drapes her in his warm and loving embrace.

"Shh, its alright Rose, its alright," he says holding her close to him.

Mambo spots Rose, but then hides in the foliage when he spotted Royal ."Oh drat! Why does that eagle has to butt in everything? Doesn't he has other business to attend to? This was suppose to be my alone time with the tiger. No way I am going to say sorry in front of him!" Mambo said in a really quiet whisper, showing that he had quite the pride behind all that happy-go-lucky personality.


On the beach, Theodore and Cole were having a talk. "Come on now Cole, I believe you when you say you weren't being rude, but aren't you taking this too seriously?" the pelican asked, feeling the anger the muscular kea had.
"No Theodore. You should have seen them. That snake was threatening me, and then everyone else in the Haven appeared to defend her. There is nothing more disgusting than injustice. Those beasts are nothing but of bunch of racist." Cole defended himself, but Theodore just replied;
"OK, then I can't stop you. But you know, if you don't give them a chance, then how do you expect them to give you a chance?"
These words were enough to make Cole calm down and think things through a little bit more...

"Now what's up with her?" the parrot asked, not realizing she has heard him. "My, what a whiner. I better follow her and make sure I find her before that meddling eagle." he then rushed into the Outback, but realized where he was since Theodore told them about the place.

"Tiger? Tiger!" he called in a very innocent way, rising his voice a little more, and looking everywhere to make sure no mongoose or dingo were close by stalking him... and preparing to fly off if necessary...

OOC: Good to have you back!


Skaliscin didn't answer to AJ's response; she didn't even respond to the comforting touch he gave her. Rather, her eyes looked far away, as if ponding something deep inside.

Voracivenom's head lifted up in surprise when Chica had mentioned a similarity.
"You mean, there's others li-"
He was cut off when a green, parrot-like avian and a raccoon-like feline approached. He remained silent during the exchange, and appeared totally befuddled at the entire scenario. The cat-like creature seemed to have authority over the others, so that put some pieces in the puzzle.
"I don't mean to be rude, but... are you Sybil?" he asked, staring up at the civet.

OOC: What "parrot-like avian" do you mean Waaksian? Both Mambo and Cole are away from there...

"You know who I..." Sybil responded, but after a closer look, she realized that was not Skaliscin. "You're a... centipede eater too?" she asked, a little startled. Could it possible be that he was a new guest, and the same species as Skaliscin?

OOC: I meant Mambo, and that was supposed to be when he came to the group.


"Yes," he replied with increasing excitement. "You mean, there's more?"
An array of questions filled Voracivenom's mind, but he continued to remain silent. But he still couldn't help raising his head until he was nearly eye-eye with Sybil.

OOC: Oh, a little late for that. If you notice some of the previous posts, he is out looking for Rose in the Outback.

"Why, yes, yes there is, she's...oh?", but when Sybil pointed out, Skaliscin wasn't there. Did she left because she was upset about the kea? Either way, she did what she does best. "So... anyway, welcome to Haven for The Missing s. Make yourself at home." she greeted with a nervous smile...

Skaliscin was scary enough, but a male was even more scarier. She kinda wanted him to leave, but then she felt a rush to leave the place herself and look for the runaway Rose. She didn't find any reason to worry, since Royal was with her, but she felt that Mambo's presence could unease her even more. Little did she realized that she was right...

Rose heard Mambo but stayed quiet in the cave.

"Come on you crybaby! Is this the attitude of a future top predator? Yo tiger, you offend too easily. I was only kidding with you, but it's now too obvious to me that you above all need some fun in your life. Give uncle Mambo a chance, will you?" the kea leader asked, still looking for Rose. He kinda liked the little tiger, even though he considered her rude and soft...

Mambo quickly headed there, more concerned about the noise than Rose. "Hey hey little one. Stop that. You are going to attract attention. Let's get out of here please. It's dangerous." Mambo begged.

OOC: Sybil, Chica, Skaliscin, Jaerl, Royal and a newcomer are all in the forest. Cole is at the beach, talking with the pelican Theodore. And Rose and Mambo are in a corner of the Outback.

As Sayan wondered around the forest, he eventually saw Sybil a little off in the distance. He slowly approached, not sure what to say after leaving.

Draco was bird watching in his swamp, when he heard the echoes of crying. that sounds like rose.... And the call of a keas? he thought, listening to the calls of mambo.

"see what I mean" Chica said. "I want to be friends with him, but maybe if he lets himself talk to us, actually know us, and know how to replie to what we say, then maybe...." she conituned, staring up at the skies

Sybil was not so sure on what to say. She didn't want to appear like she was going to take his side. "Listen, I know Mambo is... well.. kinda rude, but that's because he speaks the first thing that comes to his mind. He actually means well. Theodore told me a little about him, and he is really nice if you know how to treat him." she explained, very sure that if the keas were as evil and malicious as their reputation marked, they wouldn't have agreed to help protect the Haven.

"a very honest one" Chica said, "I guess I should relate to him more, we're quite similare" she said smiling. "I'm going to find him" she said, and headed to where she saw mambo, heading to the outbacks

Not wanting to interrupt the conversion, Sayan remained hidden and out of sight. After seeing Chica leave, however, he slowly came into sight. He remained silent and pondered on what to say.

"Mambo headed near the Outback to look for Rose. I hope he didn't enter." Sybil said to Chica with some concern. She wrongly doubted Rose entered...

After a short moment, Sayan nervously spoke up... "S-Sybil?"

Draco was at the border of the outback, when Chica appeared. "have you seen..." Chica began, "if it's the tiger and the bird I heard them that way" Draco interrupted, and pointed his snout through the undergrowth. "thanks" she said, and hurried through

"Oh hi." Sybil distractedly said, when she rather violently turned her head and opened her eyes. "Wait... Sayan? No..." she said with doubt. After all, he left the Haven and never gave any signs of returning.

Hearing some noises, Mambo slowly turned his head, giving a quiet scream and bacling up, bumping into the corner of the cave. "Oh! It's you wolf. Don't ever do that! I thought you were a dingo." he complained.

Sayan slowly nodded his head, "I-It's me. I h-have returned..." Compared to before, Sayan seemed slightly unnerved about something and more nervous.

"oh sorry about that" she apologized, "and for everything else" she bowed her head, "I haven't properly welcomed you to the haven along with Sybil"

"Wait, but you... you said..."Sybil stopped. She could sense his nervousness and decided to let him say his side of the story...

Mambo opened his eyes in amazement. Why was her being nice all of the sudden?

Sayan sighed, "I lied. I had o-other reasons for leaving." He looked down as if sorry about something. "I f-felt out-and-place here and heard r-rumours of previous e-events that made me feel... unsafe. T-that's why I left. I-I took my chances in the wild forests w-where something h-happened to me. I'm sorry..."

"Oh come on you. You are probably setting me up so that you can punish me somehow for upsetting this little one." Mambo commented with a grin.

"Yep, I think I am going to like it here." Mambo suddenly said, finding amusing Chica's way of words. "Well, now that you are here, you can take care of the little tiger. I bet she hates me like all of you just for being a kea." he them mentioned, contradicting his previous comment. Really, who could understand that crazed parrot?
