((He was turned into a pile of snow by Kihei before he passed out))

Aretis cleared out the cave and made space for everyone. Aretis came out of the cave moments later.

Derrick, from behind George's foreleg, "Snow, like death, can be beautiful and sad." He added.

George, without looking down to Derrick, "When did you become a poet?" He said with a slight laugh. Sighing a little, "I for one will not forget him, he was one of the first dragons to accept Derrick despite his vampiric alteration."

Kumara sighed, "I didn't know him well, but he was certainly a kind soul," she turned to Kihei, "I'm sorry for your loss. He didn't deserve a death like this." she said solemnly.

Derrick, still keeping Kihei's head up while he was unconscious, looked over to Shade upon his idea of a ceremony. He didn't even know what his own element was. He was born a water dragon, but hasn't been able to train or even use his element before, he never needed to. He just shifted a little, making sure to not let Kihei fall.

George, on the other hand, nodded slowly, "I would agree with that statement if we were already in a dangerous situation, but," he looked over to the light snow pile, "It would be rude to not perform some sort of ceremony. I will, personally, form a small barrier around him, so that, in this dark place, may grow bright greenery from this spot." He then motioned his paw about, with a green glow about his claws, and a thin wall of earth formed a circle about the snow pile. It was a perfect circle, wide enough to hold the snow, and thick enough to stand on its own. It was only a few inches tall, but noticeable in the location it was formed.

Aretis came out of the cave. "We should rest as quickly as possible. With a fallen general, those creatures might come looking for revenge. And as much as I'd like to 'sound the cannon' for a fallen dragon, it might lead creatures right to us." Aretis blinked and then looked at the grave. I'm sorry...I couldn't save you. I promise you no one here will die. He thought.

George agreed silently with Aretis. He looked down to Derrick and Kihei, making a quick sigh, he used his free paw to lift the unconscious boy off the dirt. Setting Kihei snug to his back, just behind his neck, "Come one Derrick, we should rest with the others. If anyone wishes to present their own grievances for Makil, you are not rushed to do so, by me at least." He added as he and Derrick retreated to the cave that had been made as a temporary camp site.

Kihei slept on George's back, shivering slightly

Aretis waited until everyone entered the cave, before drawing on his power. He'd recovered enough that the spell he put should last the next 12 or so hours. He made a light barrier around the whole mouth of the cave so that anyone who approached would not see a cave, but just the mountain. After casting his magic, Aretis walked back and curled up next to Starz. "You're cold." He murmured and pressed his body closer to hers, emitting some light from his scales to generate more heat. "Better?" He asked.

George used his element to turn some of the hard mountain stone into a softer sand. Laying Kihei in the more padded formation, he looked about to the others, "Would anyone else like me soften the earth to sand? It can help preserve body heat," the sand would make a better insulator than the stone floor of the cave, and would conform to the shape of the body like a mattress. As long as one doesn't move a whole lot in their sleep, it would be an optimum alternate to the flat or rocky solid surface.

Kumara and Shadow settled down for the night like the others. Hoping the next day wouldn't be as horrible.

George walked over to Starz and Aretis, "Suit yourself," he said softly in reply to Shade. He knew Aretis had the earth element as a secondary to his obvious, as of earlier, light, so he felt that if he wanted the ground softer, he could do it himself. The offer still stands seeing as he really exerted himself earlier, "How much of a radius would you like? In case you move around a little in your sleep."

Aretis had already drifted off to sleep. He was exhausted and already silently dreaming about their home back in Ceeador. He was in the library, browsing through books. The dream then took him back to his house.

George nodded, raising paw up a little. Making a circular motion with his green aura cover claws. The ground under the pair made a steady change to fine grained sand, "There," the depth was only a few inches, but it didn't really need to be any deeper than that, "Have a good sleep. I know we all do."

In Aretis's dream he was suddenly outside his house and he looked to the sky. Meteors. Meteors of a bluish, dark-purple fire started raining down on Ceeador. Fire. The city was burning. Aretis turned around. His house was on fire and inside, he thought he saw two young dragons. Aretis panicked rushing towards the door. It closed. Locked! He slammed into it. His mind was screaming. He had to save them. Tears streamed down Aretis's eyes. The door broke and he was engulfed in flames.

Aretis flinched and he was awake. The dream was already fading from his memory, but he kept feeling like he should go back. Aretis looked up at Starz and sighed then smiled. "Good morning." He said.

Voltaire woke up with a yawn, "Morning everyone." She called out.

Glare said nothing as he woke, simply looking around.

Derrick, as usual, hadn't been asleep, but was standing close by the cane entryway. Looking out from the side of the mountain. The view would have been grand, he believed, if the mist was not shrouding everything beyond the mountain they had climbed just yesterday. He glances back as the other begin to wake, saying their morning greetings as they returned to the real world. He simply turned to face back outside though.

George was awoken by the chatter. He stirred only slightly as he lifted his head from the ground. Shifting his weight into his chest, he sat up onto his forepaws. Stretching with a low yawn, he sits up, swishing his tail around to his side, "How was everyone's rest?" He asked looking about at those who were awake now.

Kihei had woken up a few hours earlier and was sitting next to Derrick

Kumara awoke and sat up slowly, yawning when she looked over at the rest of the group

"A little one." Aretis replied, looking down. "Just a reminder that we have to win this war..." He said softly. "And I'm scared we aren't strong enough to face it." He looked back at Starz and then leaned his head on her. "But we have to. Together. We're together again." He smiled, closing his eyes.

George made a steady incline to his paws, he walked over to the entrance of the cave where Derrick and Kihei were side by side again, "Did we have any unwanted visitors through the night?" he asked looking down to the two from the darkened, by the mist, view.

Derrick shook his head, "None of them even came this way. If they were out there, they didn't show themselves." he replied looking up slightly to George as he spoke.

George squinted to look outside, "What are we looking at here," he stood up and stepped out. Derrick stayed where he was, able to see through it all well enough as it was, for his comfort at least. "Can you tell what it's made of? It's nothing I've seen before."

Aretis blinked as he got up, immediately turning defensive for a minute. He was determined to protect anybody from anything that might jump out. Then it faded and turned to curiosity. He tried shining a little light on the crystals, seeing how they refracted. Then he tried summoning his earth powers to manipulate the crystal.

"Do you think... It was put here by someone?" Kumara said thoughtfully.
