Royal finally wakes after a long rest and hearing the argument, he flies in the direction of it. Landing beside Rose he sees the new bird and Rose's angry face. Places himself in between the two and speaks.

"Alright what's going on here? Rose, you're first. Tell me what happened. Then it'll be your turn afterwards," he says looking at the Mambo.

chica growled at the bird. "you're lucky you are a important bird, then i would've eaten you already"

ooc: is there a problem with deer on the island? or elk....

OOC: Deers are mostly from North America, and the most common animals in the Haven are mostly Australian fauna. Check the first page, I put a few.

Mambo wasn't worried at all by these words, but he felt very uncomfortable
"Aww such is the cruel life of a kea. So you see, this is what happens when we keas try to be kind. This little one being rude to her elders and now a whole mob is defending her. And your poor civet leader. All she wanted was some sky protection for her dear sanctuary, and even though my family and I are kind enough to bring our services for the benefit of you bunch, this is the poor treatment we get." Mambo commented away, almost sounding like he was giving a sermon. He gave his speech looking especially at Chica.

Skaliscin awoke once again, this time to the sound of angry voices. Once she overcame the temporary lightheaded sensation from lifting her head, she realized that she had slept even longer. Snatching a quick glance at AJ, she stretched to her full length, slithered across the branch, and slid down the tree's thick trunk. With her usual stealth, the vermilion serpent skimmed the underbrush, the arguments getting louder as she approached her quarries.

Speckles looked up in interest at the reddish-brown wolf. His eyebrows creased in concentrated thought. "Have I seen you before?" he asked in a nonchalant, yet slightly curious, tone of voice.

If one were to look out across the vast infinity that is the horizon, a slight flaw would be noticeable in the otherwise perfectly horizontal sea line. As it increased in size, a spectator could rightfully assume that it was yet another orca. One could also assert that the heavyset porpoise had a cargo of critically endangered creatures in its colossal mouth. But what specimens in particular?

Although Sybil was a little surprised by Toboe's sudden visit, she remembered that she had other business to attend to. "Well Toboe, it was nice seeing you again, but there is an emergency that I had to attend to. We'll see you later OK?" she commented before walking away, rather slowly to see if he replied, and giving a little look at Speckles to see of it was OK for him to leave him with Toboe...

"Alright enough, I'll get to the bottom of this soon enough. This is supposed to be a sanctuary not a battleground. Already too many lives have been lost in our struggle to get here and to protect us. I do not want anymore lost. Now, he gently lifts Rose's head. Little one,what happened here?"

Chica flicked her ear in annoyance.

"You're one of those ignoramus who believe our bad reputation, don't you?" Mambo asked Chica, more to annoy her than to lecture her. "And here I am, demonstrating a heart to protect all of you from humans and you are treating us like garbage already. No wonder your species is endangered." the green, mischievous bird then said, wishing to enrage Chica even more and get her into trouble with Sybil.

Frustrated Royal gives up on trying and takes off into the air to go get something to eat.

"truth is I don't even know about your species" Chica said, "first time I heard of you guys and I didn't believe sybil that you guys are bad in some ways. I am not angry at you because of what I heard, but of how you treat my friend" she looked at rose and swung her tail in front of her. "he is the leader of The keas, hurt him and we may be done for" Chica explained, "but I would rather die protecting this place that doesn't have keas than let people be bullied by a bird"

Ooc: the keas just arrive, Sybil is with toboe. Chica, rose and mambo, the leader keas, are fighting and stuff.

"Have it your way wolf. Ah ha ha, isn't this funny? A canine protecting a feline. I believe it is safe to assume I have seen everything. Tell you what, I want this place to be my hunting ground. I will let Sybil know about that. And if you want to be here, just don't get in my way, alright?" Mambo explained, looking especially at the rude little tiger.

"See you beasties. There are a lot of interesting stuff to see here. And let me reunite my laddies, cause you guys are boring. You need more fun in your lives, but don't worry. I''ll make sure of that." all that said, Mambo left the place, flying. He was singing and dancing in such a carefree way, no one would believe that he was just in a fight.

chica glared at the bird as he danced away, as if nothing happened. she looked at rose, "sure, if i can get to him before he says an insult" she said, "hunting grounds, this place is for everyone." she mumbled. she stood up, "im going to go see if i can catch something, i havent eaten anything yet"

Royal is perched high in a tree eating his fish. As he eats his fish he thinks about Sybil and his friends. Could they ever trust him again after what happened? He did not know. He didn't know if he could trust himself.

Brody then went flying around the Haven to check it out. Not a bunch of things to do.

chica smiled sympathetically. "you know a lot rose" she said.

Flying around, Mambo almost bumped into Brody. "Well look who it is, my favorite blood-sucker imitation. Exploring the Haven, aren't you? Well continue, this place has more to do than my humble little home, but it certainly need to feel more alive. This place is as boring as a grave." Mambo commented, still complaining about the resident's mood.

Brody was disgusted again like he first was with Theordore. "Really?! BLOOD SUCKING?!?! I don`t suck blood and every kind of the other bats don`t to!" he yelled at him as he then landed

"Calm down there little dude. I was only teasing you. Sheesh, everyone here is so oversensitive. You have seen the kea's sinister reputation, and do you think that discourage us? Hah, well then, if that's how it's gonna be, it looks like we will have quite a lot of work to do if we want the inhabitants of this here place to have a good time." Mambo explained, showing a little unease about dealing with so many that are being rude to him.

"Well with that, I must leave. Gotta know the place before I act. It is kind scary to think how much work ahead there is, but hey, life is beautiful when you know where to look. See you later flying mammal." the Kea leader waved goodbye, and disappeared into the foliage below, determined to continue his exploration...

Suddenly, a green bird appeared right in front of Skaliscin. She thought the creature might have been a new resident, but remembered similar avians flocking near AJ's tree.
"You mus-s-st bee one of thos-s-se 'Keas-s-s' S-s-sybil mentioned," the serpent said, her tone devoid of emotion.

The orca approached the beach, large waves folding over themselves around him. Inside, he could feel a slight tapping on his tongue, tickling his taste buds.
"Is this the island?" a voice asked, a slight, quick slur at the S's. The creature was clearly audible to the massive porpoise, being inside his gigantic mouth.

"Yes, I am one of the Keasssss" the green bird answered, imitating her hiss. "My, don't tell me you are one of the residents of this here Haven. When that civet assured us she was accepting anyone so endangered, she wasn't kidding." he then declared, but not trying to be sound rude, as his species was famous for...


The Orca opened it's mouth, and deployed the cargo. "This is it! You, find Sybil, and tell her that another cargo like you, and I quit!" the traumatized Orca said, being relieved of getting rid of that venomous creature at last. She was the youngest sister of two mischievous Orca brothers, and it was her first time carrying someone in the mouth. She really disliked it, and hoped never to go through that experience again...

Ivor pops out of the ground beside Rose and Chica. Brushing some dirt form his snout he gazes up at them and smile.

"Well hello there little one and beautiful wolf," he says with a cheery smile.

Royal flies down and stands with Chica and Rose. I give a polite bow to Ivor before joining the two.

The elephant brothers Anvor and Bjorn are basking in the sun on the beach, relaxing. They noticed the new birds but were not bothered by them. Their size makes them very hard to bother.

Meanwhile in my tree I see my friend, Skaliscin talking to a bright green bird. I am far too injured to go greet the newcomer, so I just lay there watching them chat. I yawn and wrap my tail around myself as I slowly begin to fall asleep again.

Skaliscin's pupils shrank to slits, not turning away from the impolite fowl. They then expanded(much larger than usual), and the serpent's neck slowly drew back into a warning S-curve.
"You don't s-s-say?" she hissed, threateningly and challengingly.

The newcomer squirmed in the sand uncomfortably as he was rapidly expelled from the orca's mouth by her massive tongue. Whether it was accidental or purposeful, he didn't know. Rather than interrogate the disturbed porpoise, he decided to ignore the whole matter entirely.
"Thanks for taking me here."

After Sybil bounded off, Speckles continued to stare up at the reddish wolf. His antenna twitched in discomfort.
"'Toadie', was it?" he asked, not exactly remembering what the civet had called him.

Ivor looks at Rose and apologizes.

"Sorry I never ment to scare you Rose. This is how I travel the fastest from place to place."

The kea glared at the snake, responding to her intimidating standup. "I see the boss isn't the only one receiving some disrespect around here." he commented, trying to make her feel ashamed. "Listen, we are providing a public service here. Most animals don't know, but we keas are very altruist, and all we want is some respect... and fun." he then assured. This kea didn't seem malicious, but sounded demanding. It was pretty clear he despised the reputation his species was given.

The Orca girl then disappeared into the ocean without saying a word. It was obvious she didn't want anything to do with the reptile anymore...

Brody then climbed up a tree and started gliding from tree to tree and was trying to find something that was interesting maybe those birds where right there isn't that much to do here he thought as he then stoped and ate some bugs on the tree

The newcomer made the serpent equivalent of a shrug after the shaken orca disappeared beneath the waves. His soot colored head turned to the start of the tree line.
Not much like home, but nothing wrong with a little change, he thought, his magenta tongue tasting the air.

"so how are things going? have you met the keas" chica asked ivor. the last time she saw him was in the underground sanctuary, and was curious about how it was going

"Oh really, is that so? You just barely met me, and you are already threatening me! How do you expect us to respect you if you are going to keep up that attitude? Not that I blame you specifically though, cold-blooded animals such as yourself. Tell you what, if you apologize now, I might forget your impoliteness." the kea answered. That was either a really brave bird, or one dangerously daring fowl...

Ivor pulls himself out of the tunnel and dust himself off with his paws.

"The sanctuary is finished. I have been working on it non-stop for days, ever since the bird left on their mission. No, I have not met the Keas, though I have heard the scuffles that have gone on up here between them with you two, Speckles, and recently discovered one of them by Aeriji's tree. I saw how they treated you two and I am appalled. I will deal with them decisively. I talk to them about their behavior and teach them how to behave. If anyone is going to get through to them it would be me. No one can ignore and angry wise badger like me," he says with a smile.

Seeing Skaliscin and the newcomer, I can feel the tension between the two rising. I slowly stand and walk over to the two. Standing close enough to my serpent friend that she knows that I am there as her support, but not close enough to make her nervous and uncomfortable, I gaze at the green bird, ready to intervene, if necessary. I hear the conversation and step closer. My entire body shakes as I can barely stand do to being so weak. The blood-soaked bandages are visible for Mambo to see.

"So you are a Kea. Well if you want respect my feathered friend, I suggest you change your tone and attitude. I clutch my chest and cringe but continue standing. After a few minutes of silence I continue. Your current attitude and tone says, I'm in charge here and you are going to learn to respect me or else. This is not the attitude that you want to have if you are... I almost fall over as my strength begins to fail me but lean on the tree for support. ...making friends with those living in the Haven, I say continuing. You want a more friendly attitude and tone that says, Hello there, let me introduce myself... I would like to make this place a fun, cheerful and safe place. I would also like to make friends with those that live here. Will you be my friend, please? This will make others open up more to you and be less defensive. I... I yowl in agony before collapsing beside Skaliscin. Sorry my friend, I tried," I say weakly.

"i'd like to see how that goes, and great job finishing the sanctuary, you deserve a break." Chica said. She then remembered, that aregil still had the bloody wound, and that the bandages would need to be changed and new herbs plastered onto it. "I'm going to find aregil" she said, and tried to sniff out his sent

Ivor shrugs.

"I don't know if it'll work either to be honest, but for everyone's sake I will try my best."

OOC: Um, Wystrel, the keas that is with Skaliscin is not Mambo, is another kea. See posts 30 to 33 and you can see that Mmmbo is still exploring the forest, and that the one talking to Skaliscin is not him, otherwise, I would have specified. Sorry, but you should change that post. You can still use the new characters, but first, there is an update I must announce:
I will include Brody and three main keas in the artwork. Now let me explain a little about them:

Mambo- Leader of the Kea birds. He's one enthusiastic kea. Very mischievous, but well intentioned nonetheless. It is this happy attitude that makes him look so much younger than he really is.

Cole: A bulked but smart kea who is hardly intimidated. Hates injustice and rudeness. He sometimes serves as a bodyguard to Mambo. They get along really well, despite their opposite natures.

Cheryl: She is Cole's sister, and is very hard to make her happy. She looks up only to her brother, whom she admires a lot. She may be feisty, but has a huge heart very deep inside.

Skaliscin is talking to Cole right now...

Skaliscin's threating stance slowly relaxed to her normal position as she listened to AJ's say in the matter. When he collapsed, she(with great hesitation) stroked the injured maygay's blood-crusted fur with her tail.

From behind Ivor, Rose, and Chica, a serpent appeared from the bushes. At first glance, one would assume that it was Skaliscin. But upon closer observation, they would notice that this snake's body was red-orange and its head was a sooty gray-black, rather than the female's vermilion and obsidian-black colors. This individual was also slightly longer, and its middle section had ribs that stuck out, only partially, at odd ends and lengths. It was obvious that the reptilian creature had endured some sort of great harm on its body.
The new serpent looked up at the conversing residents with curious, chestnut-brown eyes.

I weakly smile at Skaliscin.

"Thank you my friend," I say.
