"well, we can't find anything. the book must have vanished." Rouge said, walking over the the guys with Firefly right behind her.
"books don't just vanish." she said.
"well, tell that to the one we can't find."
"i can't. i haven't seen it." she replied. Slean walked over with a sigh.
"girls, relax. i know we're all a little tired of searching, but that's no reason to get snappy with each other." she said. then she looked at Tundra. she sighed. "i suppose i could try a spell of some sort, but'll be harder to use the right one without knowing more about this curse." she said.

ooc: heh, i actually don't know. my mind has been elsewhere, but then what else is new, right? but i do plan on publishing the story. but that means i kinda need to finish it first.

"Well will telling you the type of dragon that did this to me will help ya mom?" He asked as he looked at her hoping it would help.

OOC: Oh well ok i'd buy it lol, plus you kinda stopped updating tale of the ancestors. But alright im eager to find out what happens next in the story of the descendent. lol

Aretis snuck quietly out of the library. He wound his way around using his light to find the path outside. He mumbled something and stood at the lair entrance.

"Well....where did aretis go this time?" He asked them as he looked around.

Aretis sighed. "I guess. But no, this is my calling. I-I must do this." Aretis sighed and unfurled his wings. He blinked. "Goodbye...my friends. I must do this." He spread his wings and flapped, flying away.

ooc: yeah, i guess i kinda needed a break from writing these stories. i've been writing a series of dragon stories almost since i joined this site, which was about two years ago. i started writing diffrent types of stories that don't involve dragons. i plan to finish all of them, and publish them too. as i get back into writing the stories, i'll post more chapters here, if the topic stays open. maybe i can dig through the forums, and find the Ancestors as well.

"yes, knowing more will help." Slean said. Firefly and Rouge looked around.
"now, where'd he go?" Firefly asked.
"Aretis could get lost in here if he keeps wandering off." Rouge said.
"hmm, perhaps we should hold off on this then, and go find him?" Slean suggested. the girls nodded.

Aretis flew right into a storm. Fierce gales pushed and pulled at him, tussling him and attempting to throw him. Aretis fought through it all. He beat his wings faster...harder. And then...he saw them. The massive army of dark dragons, honing in on him. Aretis blinked. He was ready for this. His mother's voice whispered. Be careful, my son. The world depends on you. Hold the light of the dragons and never let it be consumed by darkness. she whispered. Aretis didn't have time to understand it. He crashed into the horde.

"Yeah lets hold this off for awhile and go track him down." He told them

Aretis didn't bother fighting every single one. He smashed through it in a straight line, making for the heart of the army. Once he did, a big, big, Ginormous red dragon was there to greet him. Aretis's light faded, but still shimmered brightly on his scales. He stopped and looked at the red dragon. He stared at the red dragon's eyes and blinked. Mister Ginormous Dragon nodded and then nodded to a few of the elite soldiers. They started chaining Aretis in metal chains covered in some sort of black crystal. Aretis's light faded and he grimaced.

Slean nodded.
"Rouge, Firefly, go on and scout ahead. tell the minions to look too. perhaps i'll check the vision pool." she said. the girls nodded and then hurried off.

They put Aretis in a draining cage. Aretis was taken away, obscured by the mass army. Aretis shed a few tears. I'm sorry, my friends. But, I must go. He thought bitterly. They took him far away, he couldn't tell the landscape, but they flew for a looong while. Aretis felt his essence fading, making him weaker and weaker.

"Where in the world did go to now rouge?" he asked her as he looked around.

ooc: heya! Nice to see you bro!

OOC: hey bro sorry ive been gone but work has been keeing me busy for a while. how are u?

ooc: just fine. summa is awesome.

ooc: hey, i just wanted to let you guys know that this story isn't dead. in fact, i started a new chapter just last night. since i started the new chapter on my laptop, i will most likely post it from there over the weekend. but this story will have an ending to it. i may take breaks and take forever to finish it, but i'm not giving up on this story.

well cyn were glad that you have continued to write this because its so good. Cant wait to read it soon and glad you havent given up on the story either

Tundra looks down at aretis and just nods. "I aint giving him CPR..."

ooc: YAY! And S240sx24, remember. Aretis is in an elemental draining cage being carried away by the dark dragon army. Recap, they were finding a spell to stop Tundra's scar, Aretis flew on his own, and was captured.

ooc: well, i don't plan on quitting on this story. it may take about a year for me to finish it, but it will be finished. X3 oh, by the way, i started a new dragon story on my laptop. it doesn't relate to Fireflight, Firefly, or any other of my dragon stories that center around Empath dragons. no, this one is diffrent. not sure if i want to post it just yet though. i'm not even done with this one yet. and i don't really want to keep neglecting this one just because i thought of something else to do.

ooc: well, that probably goes along with being a good writer. Sometimes I guess you have to let go of things and move onto other ideas. We understand. But if you feel so strongly about it, well, then by all means continue.

ooc: well, i usually start a new story for every idea that i have, unless i got too many as it is, then i try not to. i just hate letting ideas go to waste. i don't want to lose any idea that i have. but with all the stories i start, its hard to find the time to finish them all. i do plan on it, though. even if a story is just for fun and won't be published, i still plan on finishing it. i usually go back and forth between stories. i write new chapters for whatever i have ideas for, whatever i'm currently in the mood to write. then as my mood or ideas change, i'll move on to a diffrent story. the thing is, i kinda keep forgetting about this one. my motivation to write this story has shifted and moved on to other stories. i'm currently focusing on two main stories, the new dragon one that i mentioned earlier, and a Teen Titans fanfic. those are the ones i'm currently working on, since i'm kinda excited about them and have ideas for them.

Ahhh I see then, thats fine cyn. I just wish this story would progress sooner then it has. but thats fine take your time

ooc: well, i did write a new chapter. i just keep forgetting to post it. i wrote it on my laptop, so i would have to trasfer it over before i could actually post it. or remember to post it over the weekend, which obviously hasn't happened. so, while i'm thinking about it, i'm going to get my little jump drive and transfer it over. i seriously need to post a new chapter here.

Chapter 89: Completing the Plan

Rouge then headed out of her mother's lair, and flew towards Tundra.
"hello, brother." she said from behind. he whirled around to face her, hovering in the air.
"Rouge. we have been searching everywhere for you. we want you to come back to the ice kingdom. we want to help you."
"i know, Tundra. the truth is, i want your help. my mother is evil. i realize that now. i know what she's trying to do, not only to me, but to the world. she must be stopped. the world must be saved. please keep me away from her. help me. don't let me be evil." she said with tears in her eyes.
"don't worry, Rouge, i won't. i won't let anything happen to you. i promise. now, come on. we'll go back to the kingdom. all of us. we'll come up with a way to help you, and stop our mother." he asured her. she gave a weak smile and nodded. they met up with Polaris, Firefly, and Flash, and then they headed back to the ice kingdom. once they reached there, they noticed something was wrong. all the ice dragons were a deep midnight blue with blood red eyes. they had been corrupted. within moments of thier arrival, they were ambushed by Aisha and the corrupted ice dragons.
"seize them!" Aisha said. the ice dragons grabbed each of them, except for Rouge.
"no! stop! Rouge, help us!" Tundra said. Rouge just looked at him and laughed evily.
"did you really think i was on your side? dear brother, you should know better than that. i am a trickster by nature. this was all part of the plan. now, take them away!" she ordered. then the ice dragons started to drag them off. "hold it!" she said, and they stopped. "Aisha, take Polaris to be corrupted. then once she is on our side, give her a mission. oh, and make sure the king, the prince, and little red here are locked up tighter than a drum." she grinned evily. Aisha and the ice dragons nodded. then they did as they were told. Rouge then flew off to King Glacier's room, and soon found his private vision pool. she looked inside, soon seeing her mother's face.
"is the task complete?" Slean asked.
"yes, mother. the king, his son, and little red are being locked as we speak. Polaris is being corrupted, and the kingdom itself is already ours." she reported.
"excellent! the Great One will be pleased to hear this."
"how is the ol' Crone anyway, mother? can she feel her freedom draws near? or is there still more to do before she can return?"
"the prophecy says that in order to free the Crone, the world must be shrouded in darkness, and all traces of good must be eliminated. once that is complete, one must only perform the ritual nessecery to free her by the light of the full moon. then the portal will open, and she will be freed from her dimensional prison. i am prepared to perform the ritual at any time, but before that can be done, the remaining beings of good must be dealt with. Rouge, i am counting on you. it is up to you to eliminate Glacier, Tundra, and Firefly. they are the only ones left that stand in our way. all others are either dead or corrupted. they must meet the same fate. don't let me down."
"i won't, mother. i garentee it. by nightfall, i promise, they will have been dealt with. make sure the Crone knows this. i may be young, but i live to serve the dark forces." she said. Slean smiled.
"you make me proud, dear daughter. if you continue down this path, you will one day be able to walk in my footsteps. all the power and glory of a dark queen will be in your grasp. and with the Crone being returned to us after years of imprisonment, we will be even stronger than ever before. no force of good will be able to stand agaisnt us. now, hurry up and complete the task. we must hurry and complete the prophecy to the utmost extent by the full moon, if we hope to free her."
"yes, i know, mother. it will be done. the prohecy shall be complete. then we will be greatly rewarded for our efforts." Rouge said. then the vision pool became clouded as Slean's face vanished from view.

Ahh! YESSSS!! HAHAH!

finally another chapter!!! lol but now its getting darker and darker.

yes, finally. i know its been forever. actually, i have no idea how long its been. but its been too long. i do have other ideas for this, i just havn't gotten around to writing more. but like i said, this isn't going to just die. it will eventually have an ending. it just might take a while to get there.
