Gabb walked out of the room.
'Do me another favor? Could you make sure that Merrick and Marina aren't disturbed?' She sighed.
'Fine...' SHe flew out and looked for them

Merrick and Marina walked down to the beach. Fire and Star followed quietly, hiding in the shadows. Merrick looked around cautiously.
"i think we're alone......" he whispered. Marina looked at him.
"Merrick, what is this all about? what's going on?" she asked. he glanced at her, then continued looking around.
"do you think we're alone.......? cause i thought i saw movement over there in the bushes......." he muttered. Marina raised her left paw, and turned his head towards her.
"don't worry about that right now......" she said. she then lowered her paw. "now, tell me what's going on..."

Gabb silently landed behind the two dragons stalking Marina and Merrick. She slowly approached quietly.

"just tell me...." Marina persisted.
"i think someone's watching......" Merrick muttered, looking around.
"there's no one here but us........just tell me......" she said. he looked at her, and wondered if he should.
Fire and Star watched and waited. they wanted to hear what he had to say. they didn't realize someone was behind them.

She sneaked up before grabbing the back of their necks.
'Bit rude to be eavesdropping, no?'

Fire and Star were startled. they snarled angerly as they tried to break free.
"what do you want, Gabb?" Star growled quietly.
"let us go!" Fire growled as well.

Merrick turned towards the bushes.
"did you hear something?" he asked, caustiously.
"no, not a thing..." Marina said, looking a bit guilty.
"what is it?" he asked, noticing her guilty expression.
"all right, i did hear something. someone probally is there, but if you knew that, then you'd never say anything. why can't you tell me what it is?"
"it's private....." he muttered. Marina became more curious.
"private?" she asked, crackign a smile.
"it's not what you think....." he told her. she frowned.
"then what is it?"

She chuckled to herself, dissapearing with the two. They landed inside a cave, Gabb dropping them before leaving.

"ugh.......i really do hate her......." Star grumbled. "...so where the heck are we....?" she asked, getting up. Fire got up, and looked around.
"well, we're in a cave, obviously. i don't know where, but i'm this it belongs to her."
"great....." Star groaned.

meanwhile...
"just tell me what's going on." Marina said, getting impatient.
"ok, ok........here goes....." Merrick said. he explained what he had been told; that Fire and Star hadn't been telling them everything, and that may have been lying. he mentioned everything, except for Zenith. he didn't breathe a word of him. he said he had heard all this from Gabb, and that it made sense based on the girls' behavior. when he had finished, Marina shoke her head.
"no, they're not like that...." she said, seeming to be upset about what she had heard.
"how do you know? can you tell if they're lying or not? i mean, it's like you've known them very long."
"no....but...."
"but nothing. they're not who they seem to be. they've been lying to us." he said. Marina shoke her head.
"i don't believe it......i just don't believe it....."

Gabb walked up.
'You should my dear..'

Marina looked at her.
"why? because you say it's true? look, i've been hanging around Fireflight and Starfire, and i see nothing wrong with them at all. from the time i met them, i have seen them perform good acts. Fireflight risked her life to help others during the storm, and both helped the injured dragon. i have not seen any reason to doubt they are good." she explained.
"but they neglect to tell us everything. they say soem guy is evil, yet are unable to prove it." Merrick said.
"do you except them to know everything? and do you know for sure if this other dragon is good or evil? only they know him. and they can't tell us what they don't know."
"and how do we know if they know anything or not? they could be lying."
"and what purpose would they have for doing that? munipulation? again, for what prupose? what would they need or want two water dragons for? why make us believe something that isn't true? are we powerful? are we a threat? no. we are average dragons who have a fondness for the ocean. why would they try to trick us? for pleasure? seems pointless to me."

'Trust me. I know more about them and they do these acts to look good. But how do you know that one of them didn't cause a storm? How do you know they didn't cause the fake dragons wounds?'

"neither one seems to posses control over the wheather, and neither seem to have the need or desire to harm anyone. i have watched thier actions, and listened to thier words. they are good. i can tell both are in love. Star cares for the wounded dragon, and Fire cares for Frostbolt. no creature with such a good feeling in thier heart could cause such harm to another. and how do you know anythign about them? what reason do i have to trust you? you have done nothign but watch us from the darkness, and then you flee when we look for you. why should i trust you? what have you done to earn our trust?" Marina questioned Gabb. Merrick shoke his head.
"look, Marina, we don't know much about anyone here, but i know that someone is lying. someone is trying to trick us for whatever reason. and i think that Fire and Star are the ones tricking us." he said. Marina shoke her head.
"no. i refuse to believe it. i see no bad or evil in them. i just don't see it. why would they want to lie to us and trick us?"

'I left because I was scared what they'd do to me if they found me.... Last time I was only let off with a scar.' She said, pointing to the side of her body, showing a long thin scar. 'And you'd be surprised how many people put a fake personality on.'

"but why would you? what would you gain from that? and why would they attack you? there has to be a reason." Marina said.
"forget it, Gabb. she's too stubborn. she just doesn't see it the way we do." Merrick said.
"you mean the way she does. you didn't think that way until you started talking to her."
"hey, i didn't believe the guy was evil. i wanted proof, remember? i wanted to let whoever was outside into the cave."
"that just shows how dumb you are, not how good or bad anyone else is."
"you think i'm dumb...?" he asked, sounding as if he was deeply hurt by it.
"look, i didn't mean it like that. i just meant--"
"forget it....." he muttered, getting up.
"where are you going?"
"why do you care? are you going to run and tell your little fibbing friends?"
"they're your friends too. and i can't believe you're goign to walk away just because i called you dumb. you're being such a baby."
"oh, look who's talking. you're the one being as stubborn as a teen."
"i am a teen. but you act like a kid."
"well, if i'm so immature, then why stick around? no one's makign you stay. you coudl run on back to your fake friends."
"they're not fake. you're just being tricked."
"oh, really? and how do you know you're not? how do you know if they're telling the truth or not?" he asked. Marina was silent. "well?"

Gabb sighed and began walking off.

"argueing with an immature dragon is pointless since no one has proof of anything." Marina said, in an arrogant tone, sounding smart and mature. she then quietly flew away.
"well, good ridence!" Merrick yelled. he then plopped down on the sand.

She looked to Marina fly off.

Merrick began drawing in the sand with his claw. meanwhile, Marina started to fly back towards the cave. she expected Fire and Star to be there waiting for her.

She thought.
'Sorry about her..'

"she's never acted like that before......" he muttered, sounding upset. his doodle in the sand started looking like a water dragoness.

She looked.
'You liked her didn't you?' She sighed. 'Praise be they leave her alone..' She said, flying off. She thought of a plan on her journey, making a clone appear at Fireflight's cave. She thought before landing not too far away, the clone walking out.

Marina soon arrived at the cave. she spotted the clone.

It looked much like Fireflgith, but it was walking to the unsuspecting Gabb with a glare.

"hey, Fire." Marina greeted her with a smile. she walked over to her. she noticed her glare. "what's wrong?" she asked.

'You've been spreading your lies again.' She said in a bitter tone. Gabb turned and looked, Fire stormed over to her before grabbing her, seeming like Fire hadn't noticed Marina was there.

"Fireflight, what are you doing?!" Marina gasped. she rushed over to them. "there's no point in hurting Gabb over rumors!"

Fire glared at her.
'You'd rather she corrupt people like Merrick then?'

"corrupt? Merrick may be stupid and crazy, but he's not evil or anything. he just needs to be set straight, that's all."

'He will be evil soon with these two around!'

"evil? Merrick? he doesn't have an evil bone in his body."

'Yet.. Are you gonna stand there or are you going to help prevent this...' She looked to Gabb. 'This evil" She said coldly and bitterly.


OOC: Why does that make me think of Beer?

"evil?" Marina looked at Gabb. although she didn't really like her, she had no reason to believe she was evil. however, Fireflight was acting darker than usual.

ooc: idk anyway, i gotta go. bye.

OOC: Aww daymn...

'I..m not...evil..!' Gabb struggled to say, almost sounding like she choked.

Marina looked at Gabb. she then turned to Fireflight.
"that is enough!" she said. "let go of her! she hasn't done anything wrong! at least wait unless she does something evil before you attack her!" she said. she then reached out her claws to pull Fireflight away.

Fire snorted before dropping her.

Marina put her claws down.
"what has gotten into you?" she asked Fire. "i mean, you've never acted like this before. and where's Starfire?"

'I don't know..' She said, scowling at Marina, walking off from Gabb.

Marina looked at Fireflight.
"and what did i ever do to you? i only want to know what's going on."

'They're spreading lies about us... again. There, you're up to speed..'

"well, thanks for giving me the cliff notes version, but i want the whole story. i want the truth."

'What more is there to say? They're spreading lies about us...'

"but that's not a sin. at least not what that is punishable by death or even violence. you're taking this way too far."

'Siding with them now?'

"i didn't say that. but what you're doing is just as bad as lying. why can't anyone around here tell the whole truth without someone getting angry about it?"

'Because you don't listen you deaf idiot.'

"hey! don't call me a deaf idiot! i am trying to keep the peace around here! why everyone can't just behave themselves and get along is beyond me! in fact, you're the one behave like a child! you just got mad and decided to take your anger out on Gabb! i know lying is bad, but you're overrecting! yes, i'm yelling right now, but that may be the only way to get this through that thick skull of yours! Gab is not the enemy! she hasn't done anything to deserve such harsh punishment! so you better learn to control your anger or go somewhere so that you can be alone! because the last thing i'm going to do is stand by and watch somebody get beaten to death!"

'She won't listen t you...' Gabb replied. Fire heard and glared at her, growling.

"stop that!" Marina snapped at Fire. she then turned to Gabb. "and how would you know? you guys don't appear to be best buds." she said, sarcastically.

Gabb sighed and got up.

Marina looked at both of them.
"could we go at least five seconds before somebody wants to harm someone else? i'd like go longer, but i think ten seconds would be pushing it." she rolled her eyes.
