The ring made a *ding* sound as it landed against a paw or rather claws. Ninja... The gryphon looked in the direction of the source and saw Lyv crying over a body. Darin kinda put the ring on one of his claws and proceeded toward s the two. He wanted to call out.. to comfort.. However, he was prevented from speaking by a tight muzzle. Furthermore, his wings were bound and he was prevented from flying. Please be okay...

[[Time for the Chaos Ring reference]]

"Good lord someone put me on. Hey! Bird! Can you hear me!?" A voice called from out of the ring.

Could I trust the voices in my head? Could i trust in myself?
Those thoughts went through my head as this voice told me what to do. "There is something that I have to do first..." I reply, and walk over and pick up NINJAsk's staff. "I-I hope this works..." I reply, as i walk over to NINJAsk, the staff glowing as I approach.

[[Um, Prex, you're with Shadme near the castel, Lyv and I are somewhere middle forest. Means you better travel back. ^v^;]]

I keep walking inside the castle, feeling an odd sensation...like I forgot about something

I stared numbly as Prex grabbed the staff. But I had to have faith in my friend- she seemed sure of what she was doing. "Oh- uh, okay, Prex. Good luck?" Rubbing my arm, I turned around; I had thought I'd seen a tawny-colored figure. To my surprise, I was not mistaken. It was redwes! His wings and beak were bound, and I rushed over to help. "Oh my Palutena, redwes! Are you alright?"

Darin looked back at his bound wings and then back at Shadme. The gryphon nodded as if to say he was alright now. Other then the restraints, he appeared to be otherwise unharmed. In response to the ring and the Itsuya contained within, he kinda clutched his claws for a moment almost as an human would a fist. It was his attempt at answering it without any vocal means and without interrupting Shadme.

I keep running around

"Do you…er, can I help?" I tilted my head, wondering how he'd ended up in those restraints.

Darin quickly nodded twice in response. He tried not to show how helpless he felt being seen like this.

I was laying there... nearly dead.

"Hey!" Itsuya tried to get the attension of Daring through telepathy.

Now, just try to do it differently than last time...

I use the staff, attempting to heal NINJAsk.

The Aura went up to me. I open my eyes. "Hmm?" I look up. "what happend?"

I ask my question again, louder. "What...Happend? Why're you crying?"

I look up, jumping back some as I dart in a room. It looks like there was a fight there, but I didn't care. I quickly started searching through every trace of debris there.

"Okay," I agreed. I gently pulled at the muzzle around his beak. "Hmm, alright...this is sturdier than I originally thought. I'm going to use my blade where it comes together on the back; it'll fall apart then. I won't hurt you, I promise."

Lightmé had been searching the room. No? Not here? She stopped with interest as something caught her eye. It was angel armor, light but sturdy. Smirking slightly, she reached up and plucked it from the wall.

OoC: Angel armor déjà vu much?

I just look up. "Darin?"

This is so embarrassing. Why couldn't I just... Wait... Itsuya?! Darin's thoughts were interrupted as the ring touched his mind. In response to Shadme and and NINJA, the gryphon nodded.

"Are you sure?" Itsuya asked. "I'm just a ring... I can't do anything..."

I smile to Darin. "I'm happy... again, what happend?"

I... I can hear you. And right now, you're not the only helpless one. The gryphon telepathically responded to Itsuya.

"Wait? I died?" I said, suprised. "Can somebody explain this to me?"

I flew over to redwes and Shadme and looked at him. "WEll....I would attempt to try to help....but I might burn you." I say, staying a good way away from him.

"Just explain!" I yelled.

"Good, I felt lonly." Itsuya said.

'Right now, you are the only one I can physically talk to thanks to this stupid muzzle.,' Darin telepathically replied.

"Can I help? Use that tree over there!" Itsuya suggested.

"Uh...?" I said, standing up with a bit of struggle. "H..Hi Redwes."

"I-I'm just glad you're alive.." I reply, still holding the staff.

OCC: About how many in-game days has it been since your characters last saw Darin?

I look at Prex. "I wanna hug you!" I said as I did so, I was kinda 'creepypasta' myself, so I was able to hug Prex with no harm.

((Um....probably at least a week. Also, I'm a phoenix.))

I looked at Darin. "Maybe I could burn the muzzle...." I trailed off.

[[It sounds so. I suggest like 5 days?]]

I nod. "Burning them might help." I said still hugging prex.

I look at Darin. "Do you think I should try to burn the muzzle?" I ask him. "I wouldn't want to try without your consent." I said.

Looking right at Rick, Darin nodded. Hopefully this works...

I sighed, thinking of having a short flame come out of my mouth. Thankfully, as I had wanted, only a short flame came out, and I began to burn the muzzle off. After a good five minutes, I had finished and it was off. "So....care to tell us how this happened?" I asked.

"I hope for you, it'll be bad if you burn, though fried Gryphon wings sound very tasty, you better get not hurt!" Itsuya said.

Since NINJAsk was her creepypasta self, I wasn't surprised that she was able to hug me in my ghost form.

I kept hugging prex. "My life and savior!"

I smiled, glad I was able to see that NINJAsk was happy about me saving her, "So what now?"

I keep searching around frantically

OoC: Why didn't anyone wait for meeeee?

I blinked as Rickorio burned the muzzle off. "Okay, well then. Darin, I'm gonna cut the bonds from your wings." As I spoke, I laid the blade on the restrains and carefully tore them. They dropped to the ground, freeing the griffon's wings.

OOC: Warning... long of wall of text incoming. Remember that italics are thoughts.

Darin raised his wings for a moment, pleased to be able to again. "T-thank you Shadme and thank you Rickorio!," The gryphon practically shouted in joy. "Well, you probably all want to know and I owe you that.," he added gracefully looking at Rick. "Let me explain. Simply put, it was a trap ether meant for me for whatever unlucky soul managed to trip it. I don't know who set, but I happened to be that unlucky soul." Really stupid of me too. "Ever since I could fly again, I've had to urge to hunt from time-to-time. It's my instincts I suppose and I feel obliged to do so." Don't want to lose control again. "This was one of those times and there was this prey just sitting there in the perfect spot for the taking. It was in the clear and I should have have known better...," Stupid instincts. "...but I sadly couldn't resist and went for it. As soon as I take it down, I feel the ground shake below me and I simply fell. I hit something and passed out." Stupid prey. "I wake up to find myself in a hole with dirt walls and a grated top. It... it must have been pressure activated perhaps set for anyone or the weight of.. erm... gryphon. I knew I had to get out and found myself as you guys saw me." The restraints. "I was unable to fly up the tall hole to the grate and I was unable to call out for help." Smart of them. "The dead deer fell in with me, but sadly I couldn't even touch it." The muzzle. "I got desperate and ended up digging into a loose patch of dirt wall and eventually back above ground. I knew I had to find you guys..." Despite my embarrassing situation "...and set in a random direction. I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner and I'm sorry I fell into such a trap.," the gryphon concluded. The explanation ended in a tone of somewhat mixed embarrassment and shame.

I dipped my head swiftly, pleased to help, then listened to Darin's tale. While he told it, concern started growing in my heart. "Wow…what a story…" I murmured. I then realized that Darin seemed to be embarrassed. "And don't worry, Darin. Even though it feels like forever, we still really haven't been here too long. It still might be difficult to control your instincts. I mean, I still find myself doing things," like rushing off to fight dark lords and doppelgängers... "that would be totally out of my nature. As for the evil, well, the worst of it is over, I think. We mainly just have to find out how to get back to ourselves. Although this trap is concerning. We can only hope that whoever set it wasn't really trying to catch us…" I smiled slightly.
