Just to confirm it, seeing as people seem to be confused - Equestria Girls is a theatrical release. At the end of the official trailer, it says "Coming to theatres June 16th (I might have the date slightly off but you get the idea)".

A leak of the character design before the release of the trailer confirmed that he is her boyfriend/love interest. I didn't believe it at the time, because there were a lot of rumours surrounding EG, but turns out he was an actual character so the likely hood that he is meant to be Twilight's boyfriend/love interest seems very high.

I have to say that I'm very interested to see how Equestria Girls plays out - the trailer certainly gives the impression that the writers are going to make use of some good old-fashioned Pony-Human humor, what with Twilight Sparkle's transformation and all. All I can say is that I had better see a joke about the Pony terms ("Everypony", "Anypony", etc.) in here somewhere.

Last update I saw on /mlp/ was 2 weeks ago. It was a small update which include some changes to the stages and more animation to RD.
I haven't seen any more updates since then, so I don't know it's current stage.

What the heck Equestria Girls will be has is 100% likely to be FAR better than The Hangover Part III since Part II was so atrocious, making a sequel to it would be like making a sequel to Batman & Robin instead of the needed reboot.

Fandom is really big. We probably have a fan that hates the whole cast but likes Celestia only.

I feel like the only one who hates both Rainbow Dash and Derpy (then again, RD is far better than her). RD is cool in most fanfictions I've read, though.

Personally, I think some of you are over reacting a bit on this whole toy situation. For starters, they may look terrible but they look no worse than Monster High or Bratz toys - and that's what sells, so it's what Hasbro are gonna go with. More importantly; they're prototypes! Probably ver early designs used as a template or a basis for the finished designs.

You also seem to have all forgotten (and its a complaint I've seen a lot) that there already exists Rainbow Dash toys where she is wearing a dress - the gala, the wedding, the larger 'fashion style' toys, and yet no one seemed to complain then.

Also, just as a comparison and being a bit topical to the website, the prototypes for Swap Force were lumps of clay with a magnet in the middle - they were never meant to be shown to us, but we've seen them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that people are taking these prototype designs way too seriously - these are bound to (and definatley will) change before the toy range is officially revealed at comic con.

I hope no one actually took my faked overreaction seriously.
