Dang. We came close.

The six robots point their arms toward the group, revealing laser blasters. They fire lasers at the group, but I-Brawler steps in front and deflects most of them away with her mirror. Ninpire is struck by a stray one and knocked to the ground. Fake Seiki takes the opportunity to produce a large bomb and hurl it at Ninpire. But not before kardonis jumps in front and spin kicks it back at the robot. "DOES NOT COMPUTE! DOES NOT COMPUTE!" Fake Seiki exclaims before being blasted to smithereens.

The other five robots drop their hoods, revealing large mechanical heads containing flamethrowers. They start torching the area in front of them and approach the group. "Anybody got any ideas?" weebbby gasps.

"SUPER SEXY WINDMILL SPIN ATTACK GOOOOOOOOOOOO!" darkwolf shouts as he jumps on top of weebbby's shoulders and the two start spinning around like a giant top, scattering the flames away from the group.

"LOADING EXPRESSION OF ANNOYANCE.EXE. 404 FILE NOT FOUND!" Fake ShadowMew states.

"Don't expect me to call you after this." weebbby sighs, still spinning in a daze from the attack. Seeing Ninpire still reeling from the laser attack, Fake Angel turns its attention on Ninpire and fires off three missiles. With the other heroes separated from Ninpire, none of them can divert the missiles. They strike Ninpire and there's an eruption of dark matter in the corner of the room. Tiny dark stars scatter around and evaporate into the air.

"LOADING BOAST.DOC: WOOT. I DID IT. I AM THE BEST... BEST... BEST AROUND. NOTHING IS GOING TO EVER BRING ME DOWN." Fake Angel cheers. The remaining five robots quickly have the group of five players surrounded.

"Aww crud, this looks like the end!" I-Brawler sobs.

"Not quite, eh, yet!" A familiar, sleazy vote cuts in. The players look up to see a mirror hovering in the air with Gobbler sticking his head out. "I don't need no silly fanfare. Just know that the Gobfather is here to save your skins." Gobbler explains. He then tosses out five glowing, multicolored fruits.

"Fruit? How is fruit going to help us out?" weebbby scowls.

"Just eat it." Gobbler orders before disappearing into the mirror. The group sees the robots charging up their laser blasters and each gobble up a fruit.

"Ohhh... OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH... I f-feel..." kardonis mumbles.

BG Music

"SOOOOOOOOO HUUUUUUUUUUUNGRY!" He shouts as he starts to inhale Fake ShadowMew, who's standing in front of him. Likewise, the other players stand their ground and start inhaling the remaining robots.

"QUERY: EVENTS TRANSPIRING AT THIS TIME!" Fake Rand panics.

"QUERY: SELF-WORTH." Fake Prex sighs.

"LOADING SHOCKED EXCLAMATION.EXE: THIS IS ALL FAKE ANGEL'S FAULT." Fake Assassinelf exclaims.

"AGGGGH. I KNEW I SHOULDN'T HAVE PUT IN FRESH BATTERIES THIS MORNING." Fake Angel cries. Piece by piece, the robots are dismantled. The pieces all fly into the maws of the 5 players. When they're completely scrapped, the inhaling stops. Another swirling purple vortex pops up in the center of the room and the players leap into it.

With 4 votes, Ninpire has been eliminated from the game!

The latest vortex drops the five players off in a giant, shimmering room filled to the brim with glistening, purple gemstones. An ornate, stained glass window causes multicolored light to shine on the center of the room. The window contains a stained glass depiction of a white glove. "Guys, we've got an issue here." kardonis pipes up. He points ahead to a large, chained-up door containing four locks. Five more purple vortexes are scattered around the door.

"Looks like we'll need to find those keys if we're going to get anywhere." weebbby sighs.

"Really, a fetch quest this late in the story?" I-Brawler scoffs. "Hmph, I expected better."

"It seems like Seiki deliberately built this to stall for time." darkwolf mumbles. "I wonder why?"

"Probably in case people like us beat him to his own castle." BrutalBash notes. "In any case, we should focus on getting the keys, not speculating about this."

"Agreed." Everyone responds in unison.

It is now Day 23!
Welcome to Level 23: Crystal Palace!
The apex of Seiki's twisted castle. In order to proceed, you must locate 4 Crystal Keys! You should also take note of the following new rules for the end of the game:
1. All abilities and items are now gone. Kaput.
2. Voting is over. Instead, whoever places last in the challenge will be eliminated.
3. The other players will receive points based on how they place in the challenge. These points will be bonus points that will be counted toward your score in the FINAL CHALLENGE should you make it there. 1st place gets 4 points, 2nd place gets 3 points, 3rd gets 2, and 4th gets 1.
4. In the event of a tie for last place, challenges will proceed into Sudden Death Overtime, which will consist of a single question asking you to list out answers. Whoever can come up with more answers will stay in.

Today's challenge is... A Secret to Everybody!
4 of the vortexes contain Crystal Keys. Unbeknownst to the players, one of those vortexes is a death trap! You don't know which is which, so we have to check each one. You will pick 4 out of the 5 questions below to answer. For every question you get right, you will be able to participate in a round of vortex picking. More details about the vortex selection will be given when I have everyone's answers.

Well, well, well, it looks like everyone decided to cooperate with one another for this one. Too bad you all consulted each other incorrectly. Now you've left your fates primarily up to random chance! We're going to have four rounds of picking vortexes. Here are the rules:

1. You will pick in the order you submitted your answers, which is shown above.
2. Make your pick IN THE TOPIC. NO PMs. This is so everyone can see which one you pick and don't pick the same one.
3. When your turn comes up, you may select any of the vortexes (numbered 1-5) that haven't already been picked. Each round, one of the vortexes will contain the key that will keep you safe and let you progress onto the next round. I've already picked the order.
4. For rounds 2, 3, and 4, your vortexes will be selected by the random number generator since you all failed to answer more than 1 question right.

Were you guys expecting him to let you all through or something? Of course not. Obviously it was going to end in a tie-breaker that would likely not end in your favor. HIR tends to prefer the RNG, so a tie breaker with him as host is likely to involve it.

Sorry. I wasn't intending it to go this way. I had a plan, but a certain tidbit of information appeared and suddenly I had to stop it. This is how I chose to do it.

"Well, we're going to have to split up if we want to get these keys." kardonis sighs.

"W-What makes you so sure?" I-Brawler stammers, looking worriedly at the swirling portals.

"All these wormholes we've been into have been one way trips. My guess is that, by entering them, they will vanish. That door there is probably an illusion. We have to use the portals to find the real door!" kardonis deduces.

"That seems a bit far fetched." weebbby says.

"Are we really willing to take that risk?" kardonis asks.

"I would very much like to stay alive!" darkwolf pleads.

"Then we're just going to have to take some leaps of faith here." BrutalBash encourages. He books it toward one of the vortexes and dives in.

"W-Wait, can't we just talk this ov-..." I-Brawler attempts to plead. The other three players ignore him and head for their own portals, disappearing along with the swirling ripples of energy. Only I-Brawler is left with a single portal. The room immediately starts to tremble violently and the crystals around it begin to fade. "N-No way... it really WAS an illusion!" I-Brawler sobs. He breaks into a frantic run toward the last remaining vortex. But as he readies to leap into it, a giant white glove extends out of it and grabs hold of him. "A-AAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!"

"Hoo hoo ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" A deep voice's cackle thunders throughout the room before the glove pulls I-Brawler into the vortex and the room disappears into nothingness.

Four portals appear in front of a massive door constructed out of crystals. Another stained glass image of a white glove, this time sans the red eye, hangs ominously above the door. On either side of the door lies glass windows. Stone pillars line the room, with crimson tapestry hanging from each one. The white glove emblem is stitched carefully into each banner. "L-Look, it's that fountain again!" BrutalBash gasps. He points out one of the windows. The group looks and sees the brightly glowing, multicolored fountain. Glowing blue liquid flows from the fountain and cascades into the abyss below. The fountain is topped by a small rod containing a glowing star at its apex.

"That must be the Star Rod that Seiki referred to." darkwolf gasps.

"G-Guys... I-Brawler isn't here." weebbby mumbles. The group looks around for any sign of her, only to find a shattered fragment of mirror lying by the door. "Oh man..." weebbby gasps, his breath coming in short gasps out of panic.

"H-Hey, it's Seiki! Crud, he's caught up with us!" kardonis growls. The foursome look out the window and see Seiki slowly hovering along through the air. His hands are positioned in front of him and blue streams of energy flow from them. They realize that Seiki is magically tethered to a bizarre looking alien. It's trapped inside a purple forcefield. The beast appears like some sort of mixture between a turtle, ox, and a dragon. It has a menacing looking spiked shell, a pair of sharp, curved horns, and an equally spiky tail.

"W-What is that thing?!" darkwolf gasps.

"Who cares? We don't have to guffaw at it. We need to stop Seiki!" kardonis cries. He jams his key into the crystal door. The other three do the same and the door slowly creaks open, revealing bright light on the other side.

Having lost Day 23's challenge, I-Brawler has been eliminated from the game!
He was the upgraded Dark Mind, EVIL Mirror Overlord!
GOOD has officially triumphed over EVIL! They have won the team phase of Survivor! Congrats to all the GOOD players on a monumental comeback and a hard-fought battle!

I've only been quiet because I feared that posting would make me more of a target. It was in my strategy to not post. I believe, but am not positive, that I actually only amassed one vote this time.

The foursome enter the expansive balcony and find Seiki floating there, facing the shield alongside the captured alien. He whirls around. "My, haven't we gotten far for a bunch of puny, powerless pests?" He turns and looks skyward. "But I, Seiki, shall not allow you to interfere in this plan any longer!" He turns to face the shield. "You pathetic Dreamland folk thought you could keep the Star Rod safe by erecting this barrier. Further, you kept heroes close by, and villains suspicious of one another, so all would ultimately battle and forget about this powerful relic."

He clasps his cloaked, limbless body and chuckles. "But we've seen right through your plan." He looks skyward once again. "I subdued you all with powerful magic, and pitted you all against one another. And lo, you have wiped out your own numbers." He turns back to face them. "Still, to have come so far, you should be rewarded for your actions." He gestures to the captured alien, and the barrier around him begins to dissipate. "Behold, my greatest trick, and your WORST nightmare!" The beast's eyes turn an empty purple and a crystal mask forms around his face before he unleashes a roar and belts out a jet of purple flames.

A series of blue strings descend from the ceiling and latch onto the masked creatures limbs. Seiki's hands both glow blue and he waves them around like a sort of cheerleader. The creature slashes the air in front of him with razor sharp claws and whirls around, striking the air with his tail. "I-I've got a baaaaad feeling about this." weebbby gulps.

"Buck up. We can't let this scare us." BrutalBash encourages, trying desperately to mask his fear.
