"Yes" Jay says with a smile. "Just close your eyes and don't worry about anything, alright?"

I can already tell this is going to confuse me so much

Xander smiles and shakes his head softly.
"If I close my eyes, I could lose consciousness-" Xander crumples as he breaks into a giant coughing fit. He coughs blood up and moans quietly.

Jay looks at Xander, worried more than ever. "We need to get you help…" Jay says softly

Serge nods.
"I'm carrying you whether it looks weird or not. Deal with it." He says, lifting Xander up. The boy's muscles rippled under his skin from a lot of strength training. It was obvious he would have no trouble carrying Xander.

"Thank you, Serge" Jay says, gratefulness filling her voice. Her eyes return to Xander.

Serge smiles.
"No problem. He's actually as light as a feather. He doesn't eat much." He jokes.

"Shut*cough*up*cough*Serge!" Xander says furiously and Serge laughs.

"Don't strain yourself too much Xander" Jay says with a soft smile. "And Serge, don't antagonize Xander too much" She laughs

Xander smiles softly.
"I*cough*won't."

Serge laughs.

"Good" Jay smiles. She happily walks alongside Xander.

They reach the mountain and Xander begins nonstop coughing.

"Jay, you should just retrieve Daniel. Xander could die if we attempt to go up." Serge says.

Jay nods "Will do. Be back soon guys" She says with a small smile. She morphs to her wolf form and begins running up the mountain.

The blizzard picks up quick as Jay heads up the mountain. Barks echo from Daniel's training up at the summit.

Jay struggles through the rough blizzard. She soon makes up to the top, and searches for Daniel. "Daniel!" Jay howls

A messy gray haired boy walks up with Daniel beside him.
"Oh my god. You're, the girl I attacked." The boy says in surprise.

"Zelphus. How disrespectful." Daniel snaps. He looks at Jay. "What's the matter Jay?"

"Xander is in need of help. His illness is getting worse as time goes on" Jay explains to Daniel.

Daniel sighs.
"Zelphus, make yourself useful and fetch Xander."

"Yes Daniel." Zelphus nods and he morphs into the greyhound that had accompanied the sniper that had shot Jay before.

Jay morphs to human form. "Thank you, Daniel." Jay says

Bushroot began to follow Jay without the doll, whom he handed to the Quackerjack clone, and began to fly

Serge growled at Zelphus as he reached the two.

"I'm here to retrieve Xander. Daniel told me to." Zelphus says.

Serge hesitates, but nods.

Xander coughs harshly.

Jay stands in wait

I didn't know what to put okay

Zelphus dashes up with Serge behind. They reach Jay and Daniel quickly.

Daniel wastes no time in beginning the chant.
"Jay, stay alert. I may need you."

Zelphus looks at Jay as he morphs to his human form. He tries to keep from looking at her.

Jay nods as she stands alert, making sure to look around for any signs of danger.

Zelphus walks to Daniel's side and looks at Xander.

Jay looks backwards to Xander, but soon returns to standing guard.

Daniel calls to Jay for assistance.
"Zelphus can take guard." He assures.

Jay looks to Zelphus and nods. She walks a few steps over to Daniel and kneels down.

Daniel takes Jay's hand and places it on Xander's chest.
"Chant with me." He murmurs to her.

Jay nods as she closes her eyes to begin chanting with Daniel

Xander's coughs begin to fade and he takes deeper breath.

"Thanks Jay. This is going to be painful for both of you because I'm going to try and take the disease completely from him." Daniel says.

Xander shakes his head.
"Please, Daniel, don't. You'll kill my fox half, which kills me. Don't...kill my brother, please." He cries.

"... So... We're not taking the disease away?" Jay asks

Daniel looks confused. He looks towards Jay.
"Do you know what he's talking about?"

Xander cries softly, eyes closed.

".. I don't have a clue" Jay says with a small shrug

Daniel looked at Jay and sighed.
"Can you ask him? I'm beginning to think he's hallucinating."

"Alright" Jay says to Daniel. She turns to Xander. "Xander... What's wrong? Can you tell me what you're talking about?"

Xander's eyes are partially glazed as he looks at Jay. His face is sweaty from fever.
"What? Who are you? Jay?" He asks softly.

"Yes, it's me, Xander. Jay" Jay replies softly.

Xander reaches for Jay's hand.
"Am I saying random stuff? I'm sorry, this fever is bringing back a lot of the past..." He drifts, his eyes fluttering.

Jay clasps Xander's hand in hers. "Yeah. You are.." Jay says

Xander sighs softly.
"I'm sorry Jay. Taking the illness from me though, it will kill my fox half. I have a contract. I might die too. It's the curse I live with." He cries.

Jay nods "Alright. I won't risk you dying. I'll tell Daniel."
Jay looks up at Daniel "We can't take the illness"

Daniel nods.
"Alright. Will you be able to take care of Xander until his fever disappears?"

"Yes" Jay says with a nod

Daniel nods.
"Alright."

Xander closes his eyes and cries softly.

Jay pulls Xander close to her and hugs him gently.

Xander weakly rests his head against Jay's neck, his forehead hot with fever, hair pasted to his neck from sweat.
"I'm sorry Jay. Please don't leave me." He cries.

"I'm not leaving you. I'll be here with you, through this" Jay says, hugging Xander.

Xander nods happily.
"That makes me happy. Thank you Jay." Xander drifts off into sleep.

"Let's get him to Ada. She should have a bed to spare." Daniel says.

"You're welcome" Jay whispers as she picks Xander up.
"Alright" Jay says to Daniel as she begin to walk to Ada's

Zelphus leads the way, standing guard in case of predators.

"Zelphus seemed surprised when he saw you. Do you know him?" Daniel asks.

"Well my old owner totally didn't try to shoot her." Zelphus mumbles quietly.

"Well. Sort of. His old owner did shoot me. My arm was messed up for a while. I think he attacked me as well. I can't remember clearly though" Jay explains.
