Chapter Two: Dawn

A dark eyelid opened weakly. Fire burned from the depths of a cavern, warming a small stone platform cracked, and unstable from use. "Spyro! Spyro, wake up!" The black dragoness called out. She was trembling not only from the heat, but of fear. She could hear vague cheering around the corridors of the horrid place she had given the name "catacombs." "Where are we?" a voice replied, the purple dragon glancing around the barren burning land. "I don't know...I woke up to this. What happened?" No answer replied. The feeble dragon had now pressed his head against the ground, listening to a soft beating. "Cynder...Do you hear that." Cynder shook her head but listened closer. "....I do." She whispered. "It sounds like a heart..."

The creature lunged for Twilight's heart, snapping at her ankles as she dodged the weak attack. "Ha!" She called cockily. "I can't believe you are what master sent to test me! You are one of the easiest things I have ever battled!" The beast seemed to attack in reply, it's smoky body nothing but curling smoke and fire. It cowered at Twilight's fear breath, giving her a perfect chance to malee him. The beast was indeed not a challenge to the dark dragoness, but that was not what master was testing her on. And so far, she had failed.

Chapter Three: Unison

Siren hovered over the dead animal's carcass. It's rotting smell repulsive to any creature with the gift of breath. "The creature must have already ventured through this valley; these are it's claw marks in this animal...." She hissed. Siren had a title for being unbelieveably sour, sarcastic, and as venomous as her element: Poison. Siren needed to find the creature, capture it, and corrupt it. It was written that this creature would be able to find a secret, forbidden land if it was shown darkness. For some reason, master had wanted her to fufill this idiodic quest. She reluctantly listened, now inly caring to find it. She swatted at the small dead Grublin with a swipe of her long green tail blade that left a mark, deep and bloody, into the dead creatures flesh. She left briskly, to full of pride and malice to realise she was being followed.

Nightmare smashed the last remaining skull in her paw. The broken pieces of bone smashing like glass, strewn across the molten floor. The Ruins of Warfang was not a friendly place. Malefor's last soldiers, whom he had now despised with all of his being, lay to thrive here on darkness. Malefor had damned them to live eternally in shadow, never to be free of this burden. Nightmare wasn't here to torture the creatures, she was here to help her master find the Gem of Quirim, hidden somewhere in the deepest, most treacherous part of the ruins. She would do anything to find it. Anything to help complete her master's wish...

Lava burst at the seems of the catacombs. Lights flickered like stars in mid air, held by nothing but magic . Cynder glanced around worridly. The owners of the cheering could now be seen by the two dragon's. Jumping up and down they cheered ruthlessly throwing rocks and other bits of debris at them. "Spyro, what do you think they want us to do?" Spyro, looking at a fleet of marble stairs turned to Cynder. "Fight!" he called running toward the group of creature rushing towards them with weapons.
His action failed for when he had jumped something pulled him back. "This can't be good!" they said in unison. Looking at an odd green like rope, that seemed to be teathering them together, and keeping them from moving off the platform. "We need to escape some how." Cynder said. This rope seemed to have drained most of our health; we can't fight like this!" Spyro nodded. "And fast!" he added, pointing his claw at the proceding warriors. "Spyro. Wait. I think I have an idea..."

Chapter four: Failure

Twilight completed smashing the creature, and threw it against a wall with all her might. "Pthhh, to easy!" Twilight was not usually known to be cocky, but her success of defeating the creature gave her the almighty feeling of power coursing through her veins. The adreniline did not die down, still pumping through her body. She smashed walls with her fear, blew around heavy boulders with her wind, and malee'd anything she could in sight. She shook her head, the energy starting to die down as she smashed the last pebble.
"Master!" she called panting. "I have completed what you have asked! I assure you, you will be pleased." she snickered. "Pleased?!" his voice bellowed, he appeared from a wrought iron gate she had sliced in half. "For deystroying my lair? For acting foolishly and cocky? My, my, Twilight! You have a lot to learn!" he struck her with his heavy tail, cutting a part of her wing. "You let power control you in the worst way. I have now seen how you act with power, and needless to say corruption is the only way I find you to be a good servant!" he laughed menicingly, and then called for some monsters to chain her. "Master..." she called, her eyes now full of tears as her master left leaving her alone in the darkness. "Why..."

Now, it wasn't Twilight herself being foolish, but I will let you in on a secret: Someone made her act that way so she would be corrupted.

Thanks, GG!^.^ All of the new introduced characters are Twilight's sisters. 'Cept for Spyro of course. I feel kind of bad doing it almost exactly like how they did Dawn of the Dragon, but I will steer it in a different direction soon enough.

Oh, BTW:

Spyro, Cynder, Malefor, Sparx, Hunter, and Shadow apes are all created from Sierra, NOT me. Well, you knew that, but I felt like I needed to post that...

I came to look at your story, Cynder_Rox and as soon as I clicked it, an add for the "Twilight" vampire movie showed up. Lol. Looked as though dark52 likes to put the adds into topics they are related to.
