Cas heard the barking well. "What was that" She said looking in the direction of the sounds.

Kenya finished her meal, and tossed the bones and entrails off the branch she was resting on. She looked around once more for signs of danger, and placed her head on her paws and fell into a light sleep.

Shadow decided to travel a little further then where he usually goes, and went towards the outskirts of the town, taking in the beautiful Alpine view not too far away. He stopped and stood, taking a deep breath of the fresh cool air, and started to walk again after seeing his mechanical eye start to frost.

Kuro heard yelping and she winced.
"These huge ears can hear everything. It's a curse as well as a blessing."

OOC: Say I-8-U out loud... Also HDAZ, get the reference about the dogs.. Hehe

The dead bodies of the dogs were the quite the scene. Clearly they werent prepared for an attack. Their bodies were splattered with the colour red. The snow also was red in some areas.

"I know that feel.. My good hearing makes up for my severe loss of eyesight" Cas said looking around.

Shadow stumbled a few times as the terrain changed, and the incline of the mountains started to interfere with his footing. Yet his curiosity pushed him forwards. Everything seemed so fresh, so pure. He had to check things out for himself.

OOC: Oh man, how could I forget that? (I told you I was getting lazy...) Sundance is a horse. I edited it, and I added to her a appearance, too. (She wears a saddlebag, I had forgotten to mention that.) Anyway, thanks for accepting me, Underian. Now, let's see....

Maks was crouched by a stream, getting a drink, his ears alert for any sound from the distance. He was sick of this constant war that was going on and didn't want any part of it, yet the animals at the command center tried to tell him they needed him. If he were with them, the war would be over sooner, they claimed. Still, he stayed away. He'd help when it was needed, or when the war got too close to him, but otherwise, he kept to himself, in the shadows. As he drank from the cool mountain stream, he suddenly heard a yell. It sounded frightened. He knew how dangerous the mountain paths were, but he didn't really want to get involved. He turned to leave, but the yell reached his ears again, and something inside him flipped. He stopped, closed his eyes, and cursed himself for his lack of will. Turning toward where he had last heard the yell, he went to investigate, convincing himself that he'd just take a peek and not really get involved. With a sigh, he knew that wasn't true. He could stay out of the war, but he'd never leave anyone to torment and pain. It was something that had always egged him on.

Sundance ran across the frozen ground, trying not to slip. She hated her mechanical legs in such a time as this, feeling like they slowed her down rather than sped her up like they were programed to do.
"Hey, Sun, why so fast?!" Called Bentley, from her back.
Sundance rolled her eyes. "We've got to track down the enemy and stop this war! Haven't I told you that a thousand times!"
"Yeah," Bentley said with a sigh, and she heard the sadness creep into his voice. "I just wish we didn't have to. Why can't we go back to the way things were before? When we could do whatever we wanted and have fun?"
Sundance frowned. "Things will never be like they were before! Have you forgotten what the humans did to us?!"
Bentley sighed, hanging his head. "Yeah, they saved us," he said quietly. Sundance's nostrils flared with rage. How she hated the humans! She was ready to set Bentley straight in his thinking, but Lee, the annoying little fly at her side, interrupted.
"Do you even know where you're going?" He asked. "We haven't seen an enemy in days!"
Sundance was annoyed, but then, she usually was whenever Lee said anything. "Of course I know where I'm going! I'm following the footprints left in the snow. It's from one of ours..." She looked to the distance again, ready to keep moving. Suddenly her ears perked up, hearing something. "Listen!" She shouted, though she knew the other two wouldn't be able to hear. Without warning, she darted off toward the sound, leaving the other two no room to argue, and almost throwing Bentley off her back. It was the sound of fighting, and oh, how she wanted to join in!

Kuro nodded.
"We should all get moving. I heard flapping so birds were attacking whatever made those yelping sounds. I don't want to be next."

"Me neither." Mina said following them.

Kuro began trotting through the forest with Mina and Cas.

Mina asked, "So where to?"

Kuro smiled.
"I guess wherever. As long as we aren't near those birds."

Mina thought for a moment. "I'm hungry let's hunt!" She said loudly.

Kuro laughed.
"Now you've made me hungry. Let's go hunt."

"I smell a squirrel to the north." Mina smiled. She then went and began stalking it.

Kuro closed her eyes and twitched an ear.
"I hear rabbit. Really close..."

A rabbit shoots from the bushes at full speed. Kuro takes off, running beside the rabbit for a few seconds before taking it down and killing it.

Mina ran in the direction of the squirrel and pounced on it. She began to eat.

Kuro tries to drag the rabbit over to Mina, but Kuro is so small that it's too difficult for her.

"Here let me help." Mina says dragging the squirrel by Kuro's rabbit.

Kuro smiles.
"Thanks Mina!"

Mina nods and eats her share.

Kuro eats her share, which isn't much since she's small.

Cas looked at the rabbit that was caught. A chil went down her spine. It looked like the one she had just spared. It was probably its sibling. "I'll be right back.. Cas said running off in the direction of the rabbit den she found earlier.

Kuro cocked her head.
"What's wrong with Cas?"

The small rabbit Cas saw earlier was still curled up in the den. She carefully ducked her head down and used her paw to get the rabbit on her back. Cas knew it was an odd friendship... But she didn't mind. She ran back to where Kuro and Mina were.

OOC: D: I always miss a lot when I sleep.

Kuro looked at Cas as she came back.
"What's with the rabbit?"

Mina looked up from the squirrel, her white muzzle drenched in blood. "Maybe it's her friend?" she suggested.

Kuro nodded.
"Friends! The more the merrier!"

The little rabbit lay sleeping on Cas' back. "It's a rabbit I saw earlier. I was going to kill it, but I just couldn't. Not when it was sleeping all alone. So I took it before anyone could get to it" Cas said

Kuro nodded.
"I see."

"It hasn't woken up yet, but I can feel it breathing on my back. I hope it wakes up soon." Cas said gently sitting to let the rabbit carefully slide to the gorund.

Kuro trotted up and gently touched her nose to the bunny's.

The bunny let out a small giggle when she felt the nose. Cas smiled when she heard the rabbit. "Aww" Cas said looking at the rabbit.

Kuro smiled and softly touched the bunny's paw to her own.

"Hehe" The bunny said waking up. She had a cute look on her face. Cas bent her head down to the bunny. "How adorable" cas said smiling.

Kuro smiles.
"It's so cute!"

"Yay!" Mina yells.

The bunny smiled as it's ears perked up.

Cas smiled as she waved back with her paw.

Cas looked at the bunny with a smile. "So, What should we do" cas asked

"IDK." Mina said thinking.

Kuro looked around and shrugged.
"Keep moving, I guess."
