Blaine noticed Sarai as well. He stared at her a moment, not sure if he should act casual or run and hide before she got any ideas. However, before he could decide, She walked over to them. Sarai then stopped and glanced back and forth between them. Blaine gulped, thinking he was in trouble. Sarai's gaze then settled on Zaz.
"So. You're new." She said, casually. Her tone was even, her expression quite blank. She glanced at Blaine for a second. "He's an idiot." She stated bluntly, meaning Blaine. "He's not much of a wizard, although he does have potential. However, he'd make a good friend. Damien is more of a hard-working wizard, but lacks in social skills. They do balance each other, but they don't work well together. Just something to keep in mind for further convenience." Sarai said.
"Uh..." Blaine muttered, not sure what to say, or do for that matter.
"And another thing, I wouldn't advise going on a mission that you're not ready for. Although I don't know what kind of job you've taken. Damien tends to be negative and over exaggerate things. Still, he's usually honest, and it would be wise to take into account what he's said. In the end, though, it's your choice to go on the mission."

"Uuhhh," Zaz wasn't sure what to say. She felt foolish, at this point. She stared up at Sarai, then glanced from Damien to Blaine, as if looking for a sign from any of them as to whether she should just back out of the task.

"I told you. Even Sarai thinks this is too difficult a mission." Damien huffed. Sarai narrowed her gaze on him.
"I said no such thing. I don't even know what job you're referring to. I just know that the two of you do not make a good team. If you're going to go through with this, then make sure you're prepared, and be careful. That is all I can say. It is up to you to complete the task or not."
"You could come with us. Then we'd be ready for anything." Blaine grinned. She glanced at him.
"I rather not. I don't want to go on a mission blind, and I have no interest in teaming up right now. I especially don't need a headache from the two of you."
"Well, you won't get one, 'cause I'm not going." Damien grumbled. "The new girl and the hot head can go. But count me out. I've got better things to do anyway." He said. Then he went back inside the guild without another word.
"Well, I'm still going. I'm not chickening out." Blaine said, rather determined. "So, Sarai, wanna be his replacement?" He asked, hopefully. He knew she was strong and would be helpful on the mission. "We could get to know each other a little better, and you could get acquainted with the new girl. Want to?"

Zaz looked up at Sarai hopefully. Blaine was one of the first fellow Guild members to speak to her, and she wanted him to have a good opinion about her. At the same time, Damien had been, too, and she cared for his opinion aswell. She had already caused a stir over the job, though, and she wasn't going to let it be for nothing.

Sarai turned to Zaz, seeing how hopeful she was. They both wanted her to tag along, and it seemed clear that Damien was skipping out on this job. She then sighed.
"Oh, very well. I suppose I could be of some assistance, perhaps lend some support, if needed. I'd like to see if you've improved since the last time you challenged me, Blaine. And you, new girl. Perhaps you can show me what you can do. I'd like to see what kind of potential you have." She said, calmly. Blaine grinned.
"Alright! Now we got an S-class wizard in the group. Hey, Sarai, you gonna show off your magic? I mean, you gotta show the new girl what you can do. I mean, how else is she supposed to know what a top notch wizard is capable of?"
"I do not show off, Blaine. That is something you do. If my powerful magic is needed, I will use it. Otherwise, I intend to lay back and let the two of you handle things. This is your mission. I'm just along for the ride." She clarified.

Zaz smiled gratefully.
"Thank you so much, ma'am. We really appreciate your help," Zaz said, straining to be polite. She started out the door gleefully, not fully aware of where she was going. She stopped just a few steps away from the doorframe and turned to the two.
"Are we getting started now?"

"Yeah, totally!" Blaine nodded. "But, uh, I'm not even sure where we're headed. I mean, I don't know how to get there. I've never been myself." He admitted. Sarai raised an eyebrow.
"You mean to tell that you don't even know how to get to the job?" She asked, narrowing her gaze on him. Sarai sounded annoyed with him already. Blaine chuckled nervously. She sighed. "Where is the job?" She asked him.
"Oh, uh, Caligo Forest." He replied. Sarai raised her eyebrow further.
"Really?" She asked, actually sounding interested now. "Well, you're in luck. I happen to have traveled there a couple of times myself."
"Really? You've been there? Like on a job?"
"Well.... Sort of. You see, it was the last known location of my--" Sarai then cut herself short and shook her head gently. "It doesn't matter. The important thing is, I know the area. I've explored the forest many times. What's the job?"
"Oh, we're looking for someone who got lost in the forest." Blaine told her. Sarai then turned away and stared off into the distance.
"I see. So someone got lost, or is that really the case? Caligo Forest is a dangerous place. It is said that people disappear from that area all the time, never to be seen again. Of course that isn't the case if I have come back from there unharmed, but...... There's still something.... Ominous.... About that forest." She said quietly. There seemed to be something Sarai wasn't telling them.

Zaz was well aware of the mystery in Sarai's voice, but she thought little of it, nor did she care to vocalize about it. Her enthusiasm was focused on the task at hand, and her concerns were made few by her excitement. She turned back in the direction of the doorway.
"Bye, Damien. We'll be safe."

Damien grunted and waved slightly in their direction. He then walked over to the message board to pick a job that he could do solo.

"Alright, let's go!" Blaine hollered, all fired up. Literally. He was throwing fire from his hands, aiming it at the sky. Sarai rolled her eyes and currently wished she had a bucket of water handy. As Blaine started to run off, Sarai grabbed him by the back of his shirt and stopped him.
"Try not to be cocky and reckless. I could very much do without your impulsive behavior, and actions such as that would only get you into trouble. We should stick together as a group and be cautious. We must stay alert, and we mustn't get ahead of ourselves." Sarai said in a scolding tone. She then let go of his shirt. "Now let us be off. We've got a job to do." She added calmly. Then Sarai walked past them and simply expected them to follow.
"Come on, Zaz!" Blaine said enthusiastically. He then ran up to Sarai and slowed down beside her, trying to contain his excitement.

Zaz tailed them contently, walking slower as she was currently preoccupied.
"Forest... wood. Wood burns, like, a lot," she mumbled, taking off her red vial. "Gotta have something more organic, less of an environmental footprint n' stuff."
She removed all of her vials and placed them in the knapsack, taking two out. One was a drab brown color, the other an iridescent green.

"The forest is to the north of here. It shouldn't take us long to get there on foot." Sarai said.
"We're walking all the way there?" Blaine groaned slightly.
"Is there a problem with that?" She asked him.
"I just thought we could take a car or a train. Why do we have to walk?"
"No car or train will make it that far. The trails are too narrow and rocky for any sort of vehicle. Besides, no sort of guide would want to take us that far."
"So we're just going to walk the whole way? Couldn't you summon something for us to ride?"
"I don't want to waste my magic energy. We'll need it for when we reach the forest. Besides, it isn't too far. We can make it before dark."

Zaz yawned and continued to follow. Before dark? They would be traversing the forest at night? She shook her head. Still gotta do this. Come on, you can pull one all-nighter without coffee. It's not like you can fall asleep on the job. There are no couches to crash on in the forest. A funny thought emerged into her head, that of a forest-couch. She giggled at herself.

"Wait, are we going through the forest at night?" Blaine asked.
"What difference does it make? Day or night, Caligo Forest is always dark. We won't be able to see whether the sun is out or not. However, if you would be willing to provide us with light, then that would certainly be helpful. Otherwise, I hope you're not afraid of the dark." Sarai replied.
"Me? Afraid? Pfft! Of course not! I fear nothing!" He stated bravely. "I was just making sure. I mean, I can totally blaze right through this forest. No problem-o."
"Good. Because we'll likely be encountering several hostile and territorial creatures. You had best be prepared for that. And be sure to keep a lookout for who we're supposed to save."

OOC: Really sorry, I've had writer's block for ages..

Alaine couldn't help but wonder why Octo had tried to attract their attention. Was Angel in danger? She relaxed a tiny bit when Faye added another barrier. She wanted to help, but she didn't know what to do. She shifted uneasily.

Kiara winced. The vines seemed to grow bigger and bigger, blocking any escape paths or anything. A vine snuck up and tried to grab hold of Alaine.

"Gah!" Alaine recoiled at the vines' touch, whirling around and slashing at it with her dagger. A thin purple film of acid was left on the vine's surface, and began slowly eating away at it. She gritted her teeth, stepping backwards towards Faye.
