My TRU opens at 10. I have a meeting until 9:30. Luckily TRU is about 2 miles away from my office. Going to be tight...hope I get lucky.

I'll drop by TRU to see if there is a line or not. Otherwise I can wait. I was lucky to get Thump and Eye early on so I know she'll be around next month in bigger numbers.

Scarlet Ninjini is another story. For that one, I will wait in line to get one. Never know how many will be produced.

I have school tomorrow and wont get out until 12 so I'm gonna try and get my boyfriend to go for me. He works Walmart from 4PM-1AM though so he sleeps in. Maybe he will get it. Its the one he has been looking forward to.

For everyone complaining about not getting the HTA from TRU. It says on the website that you will start receiving e-mails 24 to 48 hours AFTER you sign up. In other words if you just signed up today then you most likely wouldn't have received the HTA e-mail for Ninjini.

Completely different situation. This isn't some special themed event, with dressed characters and kid themed activities. They are just getting in stock.

All of that stuff happened *after* school hours. The only reason one would have needed to ditch school would be to get in line early so they'd have better odds of getting the same toy that's coming out today... during school hours.

No, it's a sale of a toy aimed at kids. 100% During school hours.

As opposed to a fun event aimed at kids that took place 100% after school hours.

The whole debate was because we said it catered to scalpers, and the counter point was "hey look at all these kids in front of the line! See, it's for the kids!". And for them to be in front of that line, on a school day, was the point. So, either it was for the kids on a school day, or it catered to scalpers - it can't be both.

And today isn't aimed at the kids, it is just new stock with nothing else special. And it isn't catered to scalpers because it is a nationwide full release. See the difference?

Both TRU near me (Pleasanton, CA and Hayward, CA) told me last night over the phone they would be limiting to 1 per customer.

I bought two from a Toys R Us yesterday so they were not limiting numbers. Shame those stores limiting you to one wont let you take advantage of the BOGO 40% off offer if there is nothing else you need.
