Ok, this is set the next day and Malefor finds himself myseriously on the coast of a strange island.

Chapter 16: The City Of Dragons

Malefor opened his eyes as he staired at the large beach infront of him. He stood up as he felt his feet dig into the sand. He walked up the steep hill at the end of the beach to see a group of stone buildings dotted around his view. He watched as Dragons flew above his head in the sky. "The Dragon city..." Malefor whispered as he ran towads the largest of the buildings. He walked past many other Dragons, some large some small of many different colours. But none like him, none of the many Dragons he walked past were purple. Many of the Dragons staired at him curiously but he simply ignored him. Malefor couldn't help notice a large group of Dragons surrounding one particularly large Dragon. Malefor walked up to the group and pushed his way through it.

The Dragon was stood on a large rock. It was a large black Dragon with golden dented horns sticking out of his head. When the group had gone Malefor walked up to the Dragon and began to follow him. "Excuse me!" Malefor yelled. The Dragon turned around and looked at Malefor worridly. "Your... Your a..." He stuttered. Malefor walked up to him. "I have a question, can you tell me why everyone around here keeps stairing at me?" Malefor asked. The Dragon looked confused. "You mean you don't know?" The Dragon asked in reply. Malefor shook his head. "Come with me and I'll show you." He told Malefor. Malefor folowed the large Dragon but as he did more and more other Dragons looked at him curiously. "But why me? Why do they keep looking at me?" Malefor asked annoyed. The Dragon didn't answer so Malefor just followed him.

Chapter 17: The Purple Legend

The other Dragon had lead Malefor to a large room with an hourglass in the centre of it. Malefor looked around the room in amazmemt at all the books on the shelfs around the room. "What is this?" Malefor asked. The Dragon didn't respond. He walked up to one of the book shelfs and pulled out one of the books. "This, will explain all." He said holding it up infront of Malefor. Malefor opened the book and began to read. All he needed to read was the first page to know what was going on. "Wait... I think your mistaking me for someone else, I mean. Im just normal, alright. I was born in the most boring temple in the middle of no where, what makes you think Im some kind of special Dragon?" Malefor asked. The large Dragon shook his head. "Because the prophecy fortold of a rare Dragon, a rare Dragon that is purple. For so many years the prophecy was ridiculed for being rediculiously impossible." The Dragon said.

Malefor looked confused. "So? Surely there are millions of purple Dragons in the world, why am I so special?" Malefor asked impatiently. The large Dragon shook his head. "No Malefor, you are the only purple Dragon that has ever been seen. That is why everyone looks at you curiously, because you are different, because you are the only one of your kind." The Dragon said. Malefor looked down at the floor. "You mean, that Im special because Im different? But I can't do anything different? Im no more different than anyone." Malefor said. The Dragon shook his head. "No, young one. You are different, in time you will learn that you have power more than anyone else. But no one has ever seen that power before. Use it wisely young Dragon, or you may find yourself back to square one." The other Dragon said as he turned his head.

Chapter 18: Malefors Shadow

Malefor looked down at the floor as he stood infront of the large Dragon. "Go home young one." The Dragon said. Malefor shook his head as he looked up at him. "I can't..." He sighed. The large Dragon turned his head to Malefor and looked down at him. "What do you mean? Why can't you go home?" He asked Malefor. Malefor shook his head and turned around. "I've gone back to square one." Malefor whispered. The Dragon walked up to him. "What do you mean?" The Dragon asked confused but worried at the same time. "My mother, Violet. I was annoyed, all the guardians of the temple were talking to me behind my back. But I couldn't controll my anger. Your right, I have great power, but now I'm back to sqaure one. I have no home, no one to go to and no one to look after me." Malefor said.

The Dragon looked down at Malefor worried. "What is your name?" The Dragon asked. Malefor looked back up at him. "Malefor, my name is Malefor." He said. The large Dragon nodded and walked up the door at the entrance of the room. "Come with me Malefor. We have a place for young Dragons like you. You will be trated with care there." The large Dragon said. Malefor nodded as he walked up to the door. "And Malefor, our conversation shall never be spoken of again." The Dragon said. Malefor nodded again and walked out the door. The sun's rays beat down on Malefor as he walked down the streets of the Dragon city. It was crouded but this time no one looked down at Malefor. They were all paying attention on the skies above them. A large group of black cratures hovered above the city.

For thoes of you who have DOTD and you've got far enough you will begin to realise where this is... Which is odd because I'd planned for this to happen from the beginning of me writing the story but for some reason it turned out to actualy be true! Also, no I don't have DOTD I just saw the scene on the internet so no spoilers!

Im, back. Not for long thoe. I can only be on for about another 5 minutes. I just came to say that Im getting better (Finaly!) and I should be fine tomorow. I had the strangest experience last night... I started hearing voices shouting in my head and then it felt like I was being crushed by the weight of the earth. It was the worst night ever! And it wasn't a dream or anything, I was awake and it was happening. But, on the bright side it helped me come up with good ideas for my fanfics

Chapter 19: Attack On The City

The large black creatures swooped down from the sky above them aiming for Malefor. He quickly dodged them as he breathed fire on them. He'd never seen anything like them before. All of the other Dragons in the city looked at Malefor as he looked up at the black creatures. Suddenly they turned around and dived down for Malefor again. He quickly dodged them again. Everyone around Malefor looked down at him and watched. Malefor still didn't like it when they staired at him. Malefor turned his head to face them and looked at them in anger. The large black Dragon walked up behind Malefor from the building and towards him. "Go! All of you, leave him alone!" He yelled to the crowd. Malefor turned his head and looked up at the Dragon. "Now, as I said. I'll take you to where we can look after you." The Dragon said as he began to walk through the streets. Malefor looked up at the sky. The creatures had gone, or atleast there was no sign of them.

Malefor began to walked beside the large Dragon. "But you never told me your name." Malefor asked. The Dragon looked down at him and then raised his head again. "You can call me the Chroniclor." He said as he walked forwards. "Well then, Chroniclor, where is this place?" Malefor asked. The Chroniclor nodded to him. "It is in an underground cave, don't worry, its perfectly safe." He said. Malefor sighed. "It wasn't that I was worrying about." He said as he lowered his head. "Then what Malefor?" The Chroniclor asked curiously. Malefor shook his head. "Its just, Im worryed that its going to happen again. I just can't control myself." He said. The Chroniclor looked around cautiously and then looked down at Malefor. "Listen to me Malefor, there is nothing to be afrade of. All you need to do is focus on what is best in the world. Who knows, maby some day you could be leading us into a noble victory." The Chroniclor said. But Malefor had his doubts and somehow to him it already seemed like he had failed.

Chapter 20: Underground Shrine

A group of Dragon were sat down on the floor all talking to eachother. Malefor lifted his head and to the Chroniclor as he nodded back to Malefor. Malefor slowly walked forwards to the large group. All of the Dragons turned around to face him. Malefor was beginning to think it was a bad idea. "Now, now. Don't stair." The Chroniclor said. Malefor turned around to face him and nodded. Malefor looked at all of the other Dragons as they staired at him in amazment. They were all about the same age as Malefor but like everyone else none of them were purple. Malefor sighed as he stood in the centre of the room. Suddenlt a large red Dragon walked through an arch doorway to the right of Malefor. He turned his head along with all of the others to face the red Dragon. Malefor walked up to him.

"And, who might you be?" The Dragon asked looking down at Malefor. Malefor looked at him in anger. "Malefor, and I would appreciate it if you all stopped stairing at me!" He yelled turning his head to face the group behind him. The red Dragon shook his head. "Now, now Malefor. Theres no need for that." He said. Malefor shook his head as he sighed. "Sorry, its just been a hard time for me." He said rasing his head to look at the Dragon. "Very well." He said in responce. "Well, seeing as your new here I need to show you to the elders." The Dragon said walking back through the arch doorway. Malefor followed him until they reached the end of the tunnel. Five black Dragons sat in a circle in the middle of the room. "Excuse me, but this is Malefor. He has come here to begin his training." The red Dragon said. Malefor nodded as the five Dragons glaired at him curiously.

Chapter 21: The Five Futures

"Then we welcome you to our city young Malefor." One of the Dragons said. Malefor bowed to the five of them. It was the elders job to see into the five possible futures, greed, joy, anger, peace and death and then choose which one they all thought suited the Dragon. "Tell us Malefor, what element do you possess?" Another of the Dragons asked. Malefor nodded. "Well, I have learnt fire and ice." He said. The five elders looked at eachother as they began to chatter among themself. "Fire and ice?" The red Dragon asked curiously. Malefor nodded confused why this was a problem. "Yes, why do you ask?" Malefor asked. The red Dragon shook his head. "It has never occured before that a Dragon may possess two elements. Not once throughout out history." He said. Malefor turned to look at the five elders. "This is to do with me, because Im different isn't it?" Malefor asked.

All five of them lowered there heads as they closed there eyes. The red Dragon looked down at him and nodded. "By evidence, yes it is." He said. Malefor shook his head. The Dragons just sat on the floor until they all opened there eyes and looked at Malefor worridly. "Malefor, I think you should return to the others." One of the elders said. Malefor walked into the dark tunnel that lead to the other room but then began to hear them talking to the red Dragon. "Grave, grave danger." One of them said. Malefor stopped and turned around. He walked as close to the wall as he could trying to hide in the shadow. "What did you see?" The red Dragon asked. The five Dragons shook there heads. "A choice, and a new destiny, the new age for Dragon kind." Another of the elders said. Malefor was confused. "And is that good?" The red Dragon asked but as he did none of the others responded.

9 Years Later...

Chapter 22: The New Violet

Malefor lifted his head as the sun shone through the windows of the city. Malefor looked around as everyone else was still asleep on the floor. It had been 9 years since he joined the city and not once had he ever heard the voices in his head. He had mastered his final two elements, Electricity and Earth, and was now a fully trained Dragon. Althoe he still had no home to so he stayed in the city. Everyday he thought of his mother and how much he missed her and how angry he was with himself. The doors to the city opened as the Chroniclor walked through them. A Dragon about Malefors age walked behind him. "Don't worry Violet, you'll be safe here." The chroniclor whispered to her but Malefor could still hear him. He walked up to the two of them as they walked into the city. "Ah, Violet this is Malefor. He has been here for 9 years so he'll show you around." The Chroniclor said.

Malefor looked up at him as he walked back out of the door. "Yes... Yes I will..." Malefor whispered. Violet shook nerviously. "Don't worry, eveyone gets scared when they first arrive." Malefor said. Violet shook her head. "No... Its not that..." She said as she began to cry. "What... Whats the matter?" Malefor asked. She shook her head. "Nothing, just... Just show me around." She said. Malefor nodded. "Don't worry Violet, I came here after my mother died and I fitted in. And look at me! Im a Purple Dragon how can I ever fit in." He said. Violet began to laugh. "I... I think I'll be better here than I thought..." She said smiling at him. Malefor smiled back to her as he turned around. 'Something familiar Malefor?' A voice echoed in his head. Malefor shook his head thinking he was imagaining it. 'Your mother Malefor... Think of your mother...' The voice continued. It had then come to him, Violet looked edsactly the same as his mother and even had the same name.

Chapter 23: Whispers In The Dark

Night had fallen over the city as all the Dragons lay asleep, all but one. Malefor was kept awake all night by the voices in his head. 'You can't escape the truth Malefor...' The voice said. Malefor shook his head. He closed his eyes hoping that it would stop but it only made things worse. He began to see two bright lights in the darkness. He opened his eyes again but there was nothing there. 'You can't hide from me any longer Malefor...' It continued. Malefor looked up at the ceiling above him. "I... No... I'm strong enough to fight you!" Malefor whispered. The voice began to laugh in his head. 'Murderer...' The voice whispered in a sly tone. Malefor turned around to his side worridly. 'Thats the one title that you can't escape... The title of a murderious Dragon...' Malefor shook his head. "No... That was you! Your doing!" He whispered.

'Oh no Malefor, your lust for power did that, I only helped. But once they find that your a murderer you will have no where to go. No where to run to, just here alone with me.' The voice said. Malefor began to close his eyes as he felt weaker. 'You will sleep Malefor... Sleep, and keep the darkness alive within...' The voice said as Malefor felt himself drifting away. He quickly opened his eyes and looked around to the room worridly. "No! I won't, even if it means having to put up with you for the rest of my life." Malefor whispered. Suddenlt he began to hear footsteps from behind him. He closed his eyes as a shadow cast down on him. "Malefor!" Violet whsipered to him. He opened his eyes pretending to have been asleep. "Malefor, you were talking in your sleep." She said. He shook his head. "Sorry, just get some sleep Violet. I'll try not to start talking again." Malefor said but he knew that was a promiss he couldn't keep.
