any one know if hot dog will come out in a single pack? My son wants him and I had told him he could get it, I just dont want to spend the extra for the other 2 figures.

I'm sure he'll be out in a single pack. GS reportedly has a one month exclusivity on the SS pack. No idea if that's a full month on Hot Dog as well. But either way, I'm sure he'll eventually be out in single packs. The only figures that have not been released in single packs to date were ones that were in all the main base sets (Gill Grunt, Tree Rex), or were limited edition variants released only in certain multi-packs, like Dark Spyro or Pop-Punch Fiz.

Not true, the figures in Series 1 in the adventure packs never released separately - at least until the second game (and then only the ones that were reposed). The adventure packs are the thing that most resemble the battle packs, and if they follow their plan from last year, you won't see them separate in that form. You can get Lightcore Shroomboom, but Molten Hot Dog is still a big question mark. And Chop Chop and Zap might only come in this form.

If Hot Dog is the one your son wants, the Battle Pack is the only sure way to go. You can, wait, but there is zero indication you will eventually get what you want.

Another idea is sell the other items you don't want.. Ebay, Craigslist, newspaper, etc..

That's another good exception. I would counter that rather than being related to the original series adventure packs, the SS is in line with the Dragon Cannon battle pack. Both other figures from that are indeed available as singles.

But be that as it may, it's all speculation at this point. While defpally is correct that the only way to be 100% certain at this point is to get the SS pack, I still fully expect that he'll eventually be available in singles. But we're both talking crystal-ball type speculation here. Only time will tell for certain.

Yeah, availability of the battle pack characters is still kind of an unknown quantity at the moment. I imagine Molten Hot Dog will still wind up being a battle pack character as some other store's exclusive after GameStop's is up this month.

I hope they do some sort of special promotion honestly for Molten Hot Dog. Or in the least, have it at Walmart or Target. Those 2 are the only ones I'd like to deal with for future releases because TRU charges more, and Gamestop can't get their S together for anything it seems.

EDIT: although I'm sure a lot of people got the pack today, I've only seen a handful of pictures and they're mostly of just Hot Dog. Here's all 3 guys on the portal lawl

Sure and neither do I. But the thing is here, if it were me I think that there are indications towards him not being available separately, based on the stuff mentioned above. Honestly, I think Hot Dog is pretty much the favorite among people (who doesn't like a fire dog that throws bags of flaming poo?), and I think TFB is very aware of this, they will definitely want you to get the premium Battle Pack to get him. Why provide a cheaper option for the one figure people want the most?

No issues with Hot Dog and Friends, at least around here (northern Mass). They had a half-dozen of them on display on the shelves, as well as separate "cases" that you could bring up and scan to have them take one of the extras from the back.

Oddly, there still hasn't been any sighting of ANY "Wave 3" merchandise other than this anywhere around here. You'd think I'd have seen at least one fodder Eruptor or Prism Break lying around somewhere by now. Wal*Mart's suffering the worst; they literally have 15 Swarm, 15 Glow-in-the-Dark Sonic Boom and a half-dozen Cannon Battle Packs, and that's it.

^ My Walmart has only 1 Glow Boom, 2 Fright Riders, and 1 Flashwing.

I live in Oregon and went to three different Game Stops in my area morning. My third stop finally got there shipment in and I was able to pickup the only non pre sold battle pack. He said they only had one that was not presold. The best part of the hunt is I had my 6 yr old and to see his face when the store clerk handed it to him was priceless.

So uh....to anyone playing as Hot Dog...does it sound like Alexander Polinsky is voicing him? (he voices Control Freak on Teen Titans, and Argit from the Ben 10 series)

My Gamestop had a few in stock (shocking).

At my local GameStop, they have many extra battle packs. Turns out not many preordered it.

I pre-ordered 2 of them and they sit in the closet until Feb 14th for my boys birthday (other is for my collection).

I posted in another page so I figured i'd post my "experience" here as well. First, my husband got the gamestop phonecall saying they had my preorder so on his way to work he stopped by to pick it up. Come to find out the manager did not set the preorders aside and sold them. The manager told my (very p'ed off hubby) that they will get another shipment Monday (today). So today after my hubby set out to sea for a few days, I took a walk to the store to pick it up. Well come to find out the order had not shown yet and that had no idea when it would show. On a bright note, he did explain his mistake and said he was sorry and that I would receive my item when it comes. So now I'm just waiting. At least the manager admitted he did something wrong and not pointed fingers.
