Another question I have about Cynder: Has anyone else noticed that WoF is easier if you play as Cynder? Why could that be?

I KNOW what was said in ANB, I'm saying she's purple NOW! Did you notice how she was grey in TEN? Possibly she was worcking the evil out of her system. Just a theory...

Okay, I'm not TOTALLY agreeing with this. I looked up Cynder, and this is what it said in her 'Apearance':
"Cynder is a small, young dragon just about Spyro's size. She has shiny gray-black scales that are said to almost gleam, with a red scaley underbelly. She has six horns on her head: two short ones at the bottom of her head next to her neck, another two short ones on the sides of her head, and finally, two longer horns on top of her head. On her forehead is an odd symbol of a large triangle, with two triangles below that, opposite each other; and a "dot"--lower on her forehead but between those triangles. She has mysterious misty-gray eyes (with a black pupil) and a snout that's a lot thinner than her head. Under each of her eyes are three bony white circles in a row, with the middle circle biggest.

Her wings come out of her shoulders, starting out thin and widening greatly at the first joint and are of moderate length for her size. A spike can be seen at the first joint of her wings, which are black on the outside and red underneath. Her tail is moderate in length, with a thick leaf-shaped bony blade on the end."

But I took a close look and she seems to have a small purpleish tint in my opinion.

she really is black,but she can be a little purple as controls 4 elements
if you chage to the alternate colors she will be green,the alternate color for pink or purple

^ My point excactly! Cynder may be a different color coz of her powers and coz she is leaving behind the darkness as she works with Spyro to defeat Malefor.

i dont get it ,in ANB shes looks black, in 10 (TEN) she looks grey, and in this 1 she looks blue?

It's just the coloring from the developers, she's still black. We know she's black since ANB.

This thread was supposed to be closed long ago, since everyone agreed that Cynder is and still is black. But Spyro LUVA seems to want to keep it open to annoy us that Cynder is another purple dragon, which is impossible.

Besides, a purple dragon is born every ten generations. So the conclusion to this thread is that Cynder is BLACK, her egg was black, and she still is. It's just the coloring by the developers.

Cynder is a black dragon...though I admit that she appears to be more of a dark shade of purple.

Cynder does look purple in some screenshots and concept art, but she's supposed to be grey-black, and the only reason she may look purple is because of the light.

She does have multiple breath attacks like purple dragons can, but I think that's because she was once used by Malefor, who probably modified her so she could do all sorts.

You gotta a point. It could be the coloring since DotD is created by Etranges Libellules. They can change a character's color sometme during the development, especially Cynder's. So she's still black, it's just the coloring that makes her purple. It was officially confirmed that ONE purple dragon is born every ten generations, so two purple dragons at the same time is impossible.

Speaking of color changes, I heard that Spyro was supposed to be green at first, but he blended too well with backgrounds.

Why would she be purple?? If she is black. Yes you have pretty decent theories that she may be purple. But that would mess up the legend. Spyro is supposed to be the last purple one... :/

This picture shows Cynder as a black dragon. She doesn't have features very like Spyro (horns, tail, underside/wing colouring) but she is a girl. The black hasn't quite worn off, perhaps.

This scene shows her purple. So maybe as some people are saying, she's purple again after 3 years. The evil has worn off.
You can see a differance.

Most of the shots in DOTD we've seen have been in the light, so maybe the new company that made DOTD made Cynder a very dark purple rather than pure black, and you can tell they used that colour only when she's in the light. Surely if she was a purple dragon she'd be the same shade of purple as Spyro.
