It was just Activate that was down. If this ever happens then the workaround is to set your device to airplane mode so Lost Islands won't try to connect to Activate and start right up.

The one gem item I really want to buy is the Cloud Patrol airship. You start with one balloon to go on adventures in, and as you progress you get more. I'm currently level 7 and I have 3 balloons but because of the huge number of quests I have thats not enough for me. It is a game you have to be patient.

No fighting or in-character play. You assign a Skylander to go on a balloon adventure and all you get to see is a little icon of their face where the balloon would be. A lot of things to build.

Sowing crops earns you energy, which you use to go on balloon adventures with your skylanders. Balloon adventures earn you some money. The houses are paid for with money. These provide kingdom points, which level you up. Houses also provide you with a set number of citizens, and when you build a community building the people are the currency. Once you have the community building those citizens are no longer available to build other community buildins, so you need more houses, better houses, etc etc. You get the idea I think.

I'm surprisingly addicted, but I love town and kingdom building type games. Its worth a look, it is free.

I forgot to add that every so often when you level up, not every time, but every once and awhile, you get a free skylander given to you. You can buy skylanders with gems or unlock them with your code. I'm level 7 and so far I've gotten Spyro, which you start with, and another Skylander, rolled at random. I got Legendary Chop Chop which is a great roll because I don't own that Skylander. I wouldn't had been able to unlock him.


Building games all require patience. Trust me, I've played a lot of building games. Though Lost Islands isn't quite like any other building game I've ever played...

They occasionally appear in the air between and around the islands. When one appears, you won't be able to miss them. They only stick around for a short time, though.

I have a budding collection of 14 Skylanders in Lost Islands. I don't think I'll be getting Birthday Bash. If only 100,000 coins could come quicker...
