Chapter 8: A new friend revieled?

Ice Shard followed Chill into the sky, spotting a cave near by. "Is this it?" She asked, squinting her eyes to get a better look.

"yep" Chill replied, a strange tension in his voice.

Shrugging it off,Ice Shard followed closely, thinking of what to do. Of corse, she had no idea, but it was worth a shot wasn't it? Ice Shard flew into the cave, and Iimmediatly realized it was bigger than it had originaly looked. "wow" She commented, looking at the suprizingly smooth cave walls with torches lighting the way. Chill simply nodded, going farther into the cave with a mysterious look plastered on his face. Ice Shard followed, silently wondering to herself what he was thinking. As the went deeper into the cave, she noticed a golden, silky smooth carpet, and leading up to it was a red throne. Her eyes grew wide in realization, noticing someone was currently seated on the throne, features hidden by dark shadows casted by the torches. A small voice muddered in her head: should you realy trust Chill? what if this is a trap? Before she could argue, she realized it wasn't her voice, but a much darker, more calm and confident voice. She was about to ask the voice a question, when she was startled by movement on the throne. The shadowy dragon rose, stepping down to greet them. Coming out of the darkness and into the torchlight, Ice Shard realized it was a dragon about her and Chill's age. He was reddish, slightly rusty color. Maroon? No, that was to different, mabey to light, to describe his color. His spikes were the same color as his body and looked like hair, stopping a little bit past his horns. His horns were bit and pointed, kinda like a bulls, but less spread out and pointing inward. Chill suddenly dropped into a dragon bow, his head and body lowered in respect. Confused, Ice Shard wondered if she should do the same. She was about to copy Chill when the dragon nodded to Chill, who got up from his position. A smile tracing his face, the mystery dragon's turned to Ice Shard and Issued a greeting.

"Hello there Ice Shard! I'm Dane. I've heard a lot about you, and its a pleasure and an honor to meet you"

"its Nice to meet you too Dane" Ice Shard replied, shaking paws with him. She was suprized by his easy going smile and calm boyish voice and additude. It reminded her of one of those dragons you see in school, someone who would act out a lot, or play alot of sports or skateboard alot. She smiled, looking from Dane to Chill. "So, you two know eachother?" she asked curiously, Stretching her tired wings.

"Im'a fraid so" Chill muddered, and Dane whacked him on the sholder.

"behave! we have a guest!" Dane scolded, returning his gaze to Ice Shard. "we live together yea, kinda like roomates" He smiled as Ice Shard nodded, a slight giggle forming im her throat.

"so would you like to stay for dinner?" Chill asked, rubbing his sore sholder.

"Sure, sounds good to me" Ice Shard replied,yawning. "but is tomarrow ok? I still have some stuff to get done tonight" she added appoligeticly.

"of corse" Chill and Dane said in unisine. Ice Shard found it a little wierd, but decided to ignore it.

"Thanks. well bye guys!" She replied cheerily, flying out of the cave and back to dragon city.

Chill's Point Of View-
"Your such a liar!" Chill stated as soon as Ice Shard was out of view, turning to Dane. "yea 'I've heard a lot about you' my butt! more like you stalked her around with that voodoo glass ball" He added, shooting Dane a glare.

"whatever, I'm still your leader, your Master, remember? besides its not stalking is research!" Dane growled, defending himself

Chill rolled his eyes, turning around to observe his suroundings. Growling, Dane returned to his throne, smirking.

"ya know, she's actualy pretty cute, better than the glass ball view"

Chill angerly whipped around. "just what exactly are you implying!?"

Dane simply yawned, a smile still plastered on his face. "oh nothing, just stating a fact. so quick to anger arn't you?"

Chill turned back around, containing his anger and confusion. why should he care what the boss thought of her? She was only a dragoness, someone of no importance to him. Yet a feeling still wrenched around in his gut. Why am I acting like this? He wondered,lost in thought. He was suppost to be the calm friendly one, yet Dane made him look like a jerk, brought out the worst side of himand right in front of Ice Shard! Laying down and turning onto his side, he closed his eyes and tried to drift into a restless, dreamless sleep.
