Chapter 12: Crystalization

I remeber running away. I felt horrible for trying to kill this dragon that I now had this new emotion for... But I wasn't sure what it was. Love, maybe? I shook my head... How could I be in love with a dragon I had only known for a little while... And had tried to murdur?

I found out Spyro had followed me. He finally found me and, after some chaos, imprisoned us both in time crystal. My entire body was frozen, but my mind wasn't.

I remebered my entire past while in that crystal. I swore to protect Spyro with my life, after I was free. I swore to make it up to the elders, for I had not only fought and inured them, but imprisoned them. I swore to make it up to the to planet... For when I awoke, I knew the dark master would be back. And I realized something else, too: I was in love with Spyro, whether I liked it or not. I promised to not only do all that, but to tell Spyro how I really felt.

And when I awoke, I fulfilled my promise.

I destroyed the dark master, with Spyro's help. I saved everyone... Then I ran away. I ran off with Spyro. I told him truthfully exactly how I felt through three words... And you can probably guess which words those were.

In the end, we came to settle in a wonderful cave near the Valley of Avalar. No one knows where we are at the time, and we like it that way. Everything seems peaceful and quiet, and if we ever need an adventure...

Spyro's good at getting himself into trouble, so it wouldn't be hard. With my life, I've got adventure waiting for me around every corner.

And I like it that way.

My memories fade away as I catch up to present time. I know that Spyro will return any moment from his flight, and when he does, night will have fallen and we will sleep.

But he is not back yet, so I can still contemplate a bit. I could probably just sit and think about my past for days, still not able to even comprehend all that has happened.

But why think about something so dark, when my life is perfect now?

That's right. I love my life. I couldn't ask for anything better. Spyro and I live in a beautiful cave, that is any dragon's dream location. We are right next to a wonderful forest that is always fun to explore together. And of course, just the fact that the Dark Master is gone is good enough.

I must stop thinking now, for Spyro just flew through the entrance.

"Hi Cynder," he says, nuzzling me.

I smile, and nuzzle him back. My life is perfect now, and nothing will ever change that.

Ever.
