well, careful what you read, you may have found Fireflight's sister, Nightflight. Artica and Flare arn't in the first book. they come later. i can't remember where exactly, it's been a little while since i went through it. but you don't have to find it. eventually, i'll get to that point in Tale of the Ancestors. plus, i don't usually like to give out a lot of spoilers. i could if you want me to though.

Chapter 26: Planning

there was nothing but silence for several moments. everyone stared at Firefly while she felt stressed and nervous.
"......uh........look........i--i--i.......i can't........i'm not the one........i'm sorry........." she muttered, sounding a bit scared.
"but it must be you. i saw the visions. i saw you. you have to be the one." Zanna insisted.
"now, let's not frieghten her more than she already is." Delano turned his gaze to the others.
"i'm not scared....." Firefly attempted to be brave, but still sounded nervous. they looked back at her.
"young dragon, i know the prophecy. i've studied it well. i've listened to Zanna's visions, and searched the vision pool myself. i agree with her. however, i can not force you to do anything. if you truly feel you are not ready to face such darkness, then there is nothing i can do to convince you. you are free to leave at any time." Delano said.
"but Delano--!"
"hush, Zanna." he said. "Aisha, take Firefly and Flash into the other room."
"may i go with them?" Tynan asked.
"you may. Aisha, return when they are setteled in. and, Zanna, i want you to stay." he said. Aisha nodded. she then left the room with Tynan, Firefly, and Flash. she led them to the training room, and took them inside.
"wait here until we come for you." she said. then she was gone.
"i'm telling you she's the one! she's the one in my vision!" Zanna insisted. Aisha quietly walked in, and sat down next to Delano.
"keep your voice down." Delano spoke. "i know very well what you saw. we all do."
"then you should know that we have to train her right away! we've waited too long for the Choosen One to come here!"
"she has a point." Snake hissed. "we have waited at least eight years for her to find her way to us."
"yes, but what could we possibly teach her? i tried teaching her fear, but she failed." Hashim grunted.
"she did not fail. she is simply not a fear dragon." Aisha corrected.
"enough, everyone." Delano spoke up. "we could teach her everything we know, but if she is not ready to face the dark forces, then we can not make her do so. she may posses great power, and be the one we seek. or, perhaps we are wrong. there is a possibility that she is not the one we seek."
"but she is!" Zanna cried out. "look, i've been seeing visions since i hatched. the first thing i saw was the death of my family. i consider my power a curse because of it. Firefly is only dragon alive that i am related to. i saw the visions. her parents seeked the help of mine to ensure our safety. they all perished because of that. only we survived. her mother ran off with her egg. my mother ran off with my egg. however, while she ended up in the artic, my mother made it here before she was slain. the wrong dragon ended up here. she's supposed to be training here, not me. she's the one. my cousin is the Choosen One. we just have to convince that she can do this. we have to prepare her."
"but she is too young. you're too young. you're all so young." Aisha said in a worried tone.
"Aisha, she's the Choosen One. she can do this. she just needs to believe she can."
"indeed. but unless she comes to terms with what she must do, there is nothing we can do for her. only if she is willing to fullfill her destiny can we train her in the ancient ways, and prepare her for what is to come." Delano said.
"i could convince her." Hashim said with a grin.
"no. not even in an emergency. your power is used on the enemy, no one else." Delano said, sternly. Hashim grunted.
"perhaps we could still train her, and make her believe she is skilled." Snake hissed.
"but if she is not intrested, then there is no point in teaching her anything." Delano said.
"i know of someone." Aisha spoke. the others looked at her. "he speacializes in......... certain dragons..."
"what do you mean? who is it?" Zanna asked, confused.
"i think i know who you mean, Aisha. contact him immediately. telll him he must hurry over here as soon as he can. we must not delay." Delano said. Aisha nodded. she then left the room. "Zanna, get the others. i want them ready to meet our guest when he arrives." he continued. she nodded, and then left. "Snake, Hashim, i want you to take turns on gaurd duty. the enemy must not know of his arrival at the temple. one of you should start now. keep rotating until he arrives safely." he said. they both nodded, and then left the room. Delano sighed in the now quiet library. "so, the Choosen One has finally been revealed. now, she must be properly trained. hopefully, she will have the power and skill to bring peace back to this world." he said to himself.

Ok no i guess i can wait to see in tale of the ancestors. Now this is interesting i wonder who this special guest is? wonder what does firefly think of all this and cousin? whoa I didnt see that coming.

Chapter 27: Unexpected Visitor

a day went by, and everyone at the temple waited for their guest to arrive. Zanna, Delano, and Aisha were in the library. they were quietly reading to themselves. Snake and Hashim were taking turns on gaurd duty. Tynan, Firefly, and Flash were in the training room. they discussed the elements and the training a young dragon goes through at the temple. suddenly, there was a loud knock at the door. everyone stopped what they were doing, and looked around. they wondered if it was thier guest. the loud knock turned to banging. it sounded urgent.
"i'll get it!" Tynan hollered. he then got up, and headed to the entrance. Firefly and Flash followed. Tynan opened the door. he looked up at an elderly white dragon. he appeared tired and out of breath. "may i help you?" he asked. the white dragons looked at Tynan, and then looked past him.
"Snowflake!" he cried out, happily. he then rushed towards Firefly.
"Dad!" she cried out, running to him. while they hugged each other, Tynan and Flash shared a confused glance.
"oh, my goodness! i'm so glad you're all right! i was so worried!" the dragon said.
"i was too!" she replied. they then looked into each other's eyes. "how did you escape?" she asked.
"let's just say, that ol' black dragon won't be going anywhere for a while." he winked.
"you froze him!" she began to giggle.
"i did." he chuckled lightly.
"uh, don't mean to interrupt this touching scene, but who the heck are you?" Flash flew up to them.
"oh, um, Flash, this is my dad. Dad, this is Flash, he helped me get to the temple."
"he's your dad?" Flash sounded surprise.
"Flash, don't you remember me telling you that i cam from the artic?"
"artic............artic..............artic............." he muttered to himself. "nope! doesn't ring a bell!" he said. Firefly sighed.
"nevermind" she said.
"and you've been hanging around with him?" Icetalon asked, slightly confused.
"he's not as bad as he seems." Firefly giggled.
"and what's THAT supposed to mean?" Flash questioned.
"oh, nothing." she giggled. then Icetalon turned his gaze to Tynan.
"and who might you be?" he asked. Tynan looked around, looking puzzled. "yes, you. come, don't be shy. introduce yourself." he said. Tynan walked over to them.
"i'm Tynan, son of Delano and Aisha, two gaurdians who teach here." he said, trying to sound important.
"greetings, Tynan. i am Icetalon." he said. then Zanna and the gaurdians joined them.
"i knew i heard voices." Zanna said.
"hello there. is there something i can help you with?" Delano asked. Icetalon turned his gaze to them.
"er, no. i was simply checking on my daughter." he answered.
"daughter?" they asked, confused.
"long story." Flash muttered.
"well, feel free to stay as long as you like." Delano said. "i am Delano. this is Aisha, Snake, Hashim, and Zanna." he said, pointing to each one. they all welcomed thier guest.
"nice to meet you all. i am Icetalon. i found Snowflake's egg in the artic, and i took her in as my own."
"Snowflake?" they asked, confused again.
"uh, yeah. Flash changed my name when we met out in the forrest." Firefly explained.
"he changed your name?" Icetalon asked, confused. "whatever for?"
"he just didn't think the name Snowflake suited me."
"that's because it doesn't." Flash added.
"so you chanegd it? to what?" he asked Flash.
"Firefly. isn't that so much better?" he smiled. Icetalon didn't seem pleased. Flash stopped smiling.
"you all may call her Firefly if she is ok with it, but i shall call her Snowflake." he said.
"either one is fine by me." she said.
"well, not that that's setteled, Icetalon, would you like to stay to meet our other guest?" Delano offered.
"who is it?" he asked.
"a dragon that speacilizes in teaching certain dragons."
"i see. well, i'm quite tired at the moment. perhaps another time."
"well, you're free to rest here." he offered. Icetalon thought for a moment.
"please stay, Dad." Firefly begged.
"well, in that case, i have no choice. i will stay. but perhaps i will meet your guest another time." he said. then he slowly wandered off down the hallway. Firefly followed with a smile. Flash flew after her. Tynan and Zanna followed. then the gaurdians went back to what they were going before.

Im glad icetalon survived that was a great and happy reunion. Very nice chapter, but hahaha flash got burned but the whole name thing, guess snowflakes dad didnt like the name.

well, Icetalon gave her the name Snowflake. and then it gets changed by a little dragonfly. it's not really the name that bothers him, it's the fact that a small insect changed it. anyway, more is coming soon.

Chapter 28: The Guest

everyone continued doing what they were doing before Icetalon's arrival. however, Firefly stayed with Icetalon, and took a nap with him. she was glad to have him with her. then she was awaken by a knock at the door.
"i'll get it!" Tynan hollered. Flash and Zanna followed him. the gaurdians soon joined them. Tynan opened the door. he gazed up at a large dragon. he was twice the size of the gaurdians. his scales were tan, and his eyes were yellow. he was muscular, yet he appeared to be fast and flexible. he had two, long, black horns that faced forward. his claws were long, sharp, and jet black. he had a long snout filled with long, sharp, blood-stained teeth. his tail was twice as long as his body, and his tail-end was shaped like a large black blade. Tynan, Flash, and Zanna looked up at him, feeling greatly intimidated by his appearance.
"greetings." he spoke in a deep voice.
"welcome to the temple. you must be the dragon Aisha told me about." Delano said, approaching the dragon. Tynan, Flash, and Zanna stepped back. the other gaurdians greeted the visitor.
"indeed i am. where is she, the one i am to train?" he asked.
"she's resting at the moment. please come in." the visitor walked inside. Delano closed the door behind him. "Tynan, Flash, Zanna, would you three excuse us please? oh, and tell Firefly her mentor is here." the three nodded. they then quietly left. "allow me to introduce you, i am Delano. this is Snake, Hashim, and you know Aisha already."
"yes. hello all." he greeted.
"now, may i ask for your name?" Delano asked.
"Titus."
"welcome Titus. please make yourself at home." Delano smiled. Titus quietly walked down the hallway. Tynan, Flash, and Zanna went to the library after waking up Firefly and Icetalon. Icetalon just went back to sleep. Firefly stepped out of the room. as she did, Titus approached her.
"are you the one i am to train?" he asked. she looked up at the mighty dragon.
"uh......y--y--yes....." she muttered, feeling nervous and intimidated.
"no need to feel afraid. i am simply here to train you. shall we begin?" he asked. she nodded slowly. "excelent. let us journey to the training room." he said. they then walked into the training room. Firefly walked to the center, ready to learn now. though she was a bit surprised when Titus joined her.
"what are you doing? don't you want me to fight dummies?" she asked, slightly confused.
"no, and you should be able to figure it out if you think about it." he said. she shrugged. "because they're dummies. get it? they are dummies. the ape dummies you typically train with do not have a mind of their own. they are not real. they are controlled by a gaurdian to test your skills. but why do such a thing? how often are you going to fight a dummy? never, i tell you. never. real creatures are out there that want to hurt you, and even kill you. you need to train with something that has a mind of their own, and is unpredictable in thier attacks. plus, only lazy gaurdians sit on the sidelines and watch." he chuckled lightly at the end.
"but arn't you a gaurdian?"
"oh, my, no. i am nothing of the sort."
"then what are you, besides a dragon, i mean."
"i am simply a wandering teacher. i travel around all over the world teaching dragons and even other creatures to fight."
"why? i mean, don't you have a temple?"
"no. i do not even have a lair. i stay where i am needed. when i am no longer needed, i move on."
"oh. do you teach elements?"
"i don't even have an element."
"you don't?!" she gasped.
"is that such a shock?" he chuckled lightly. "not everyone is gifted with an element. that is why i am here. my job is to teach those that can not learn to breathe fire or ice. i teach those who truly need to be taught how to fight with physical attacks. because creatures like me rely only on melee attacks to fight. now, that does not mean i posses no abilites. as a dragon, i do have some powers."
"like what?"
"well, for starters, i am physically larger, stronger, and faster. my scales are tougher also. they can withstand just about any physical attack, and can withstand some extreame temperatures. however, i do not posses a breath weapon, and also share a bit of a weakness to such ranged attacks. however, i heal faster than other dragons. though i posses to elemental or magical powers, i am still gifted with abilites to defend myself. and i shall teach you all i can so you can defend yourself." Titus explained.
"wow. that's pretty cool."
"yes, it is. i may lack elemental powers, but i am physically stronger than other dragons."
"but i'm not like you. i don't have those abilities."
"well, surely you have something. just think." he said. she thought for a moment.
"well, when i was attacked by some wierd flying things, i seemed to heal faster than normal."
"then there you have it. your first ability." he smiled.
"really? i can actually do something?"
"why of course you can. everyone can do something. and i will teach you to do so much more. and even if other abilities don't come naturally, i can help you improve a little. so let's get started." he said.

ahh that explains why she healed faster in the forest. nice very nice.

yes, i love writing. i'm writing like five stories right now. well, not like all at once, but there at about five or six that i haven't finished, and i plan of finsihing all of them eventually.
i'm currently writing the next part. it should be finished shortly.

Chapter 29: Training Begins

"now, show me what you can do." Titus said. Firefly was slightly confused.
"excuse me?" she asked.
"show me what you can do. attack me."
"you want me to fight you?"
"exactly. and don't hold back. give it all you got. go ahead. attack me." he insisted.
"ok...." she muttered. she then lowered her head, and charged with her horns. Titus put his wings in front of him like a big sheild. Firefly rammed into his horns. he didn't even flinch. he then pushed her back with his wings.
"not bad. now, come at me again." he said. she got up, and ran towards him. he used his wings as a sheild. she clawed him, but he didn't feel a thing. he then pushed her back again. she got up, and looked at him. he folded his wings. "you see? do you see?" he asked. Firefly was confused.
"see what....?"
"my wings. my large wings. i am using them as a sheild. see how i am unharmed by your attacks? you can use your wings to defend yourself. here, try it. i'll attack you this time. use your wings to defend yourself." he said. he then walked towards her, and raised his claw. she put up her wings like a sheild. he then lightly clawed at her wings. she was unharmed. he stepepd back. she folded her wings, and looked at him. "see? now you have learned something."
"but you held back."
"you're right, i did. because we are just starting, i will hold back on my attacks. i do not want to hurt you. but you are free to hurt me. now, when you have learned a lot, and have proven yourself skillful in battle, then we can truly have a fight. but until then, we will start off slow, and i will not attack with my full strenght." he said.
"ok. so, we're continuing?" she asked.
"if you would like to. i will not force you to fight or train."
"i want to." she cracked a smile.
"then let us continue." he said. "now, have you learned to fly?"
"no." she shoke her head.
"that is most unfortunate. some of my greatest battles took place up in the air. you must learn to fly."
"well, i'm not too trilled about it..... my dad wanted to teach me, but we didn't get around to it..... could you....?"
"teach you to fly? why of course i can." he smiled. "would you like to learn now, or continue training?"
"does the training have to do with flying?"
"i did have something in mind."
"then i guess it's time to fly."
"excellent. now let us journey outside." he said. they then left the training room, and walked outside. Titus took a deep breath. "ah, fresh air. nothing beats the beauty of nature." he sighed. "now, it would help if we had a big rock of some sort." he said, looking around.
"a big rock? why?"
"well, something big that is high off of the ground is great for flying. you just jump off the edge, speard your wings, and--"
"plummit to the ground...." she muttered.
"no. you flap your wings, and begin to fly. i take it you had a not so pleasant experiance?"
"back when those flying creatures were after me, one of them dropped me from way up high. i spread my wings, but i couldn't fly."
"ah, i see. well, that won't happen again, because i am going to teach you to fly." he said with a grin.

wow 6 stories huh? wow you should become a writer someday you do such a great job with them i know you would be awesome at that.

thank you. i'd love to be a writer someday. i hope to publish my books someday. after i finish them make corrections of course.

Chapter 30: Learning To Fly

"ah, here! this will do nicely!" Titus's voice boomed with an excited tone. Firefly followed him through the forrest. she came out of the bushes, and saw what he was looking at. the mountain she climbed to reach the forrest was in front of them. at the base of the mountain was a large boulder. "this place is perfect for learning to fly. you can practice on the boulder, and then we can move on to the mountain." he said with a grin. Firefly gulped.
"are you sure this is a good spot?" she asked, sounding a tad nervous.
"positive. now, climb up onto the rock." he said. she did as she was told. "good. now, begin by simply spreading out your wings. lets see your wingspan." he continued. she spread her wings out. she looked at each one. he did the same. "good. good. quite good for a dragon your age. now, start flapping." he said. she flapped slowly at first. "flap harder. faster. you'll never get off the ground flapping like that." he insisted. she flapped harder and faster. her feet remained on the boulder. " now, close your eyes. feel the power of the ancestors coursing through your body." he added. she closed her eyes, still flapping. however, she felt no diffrent. "continue to flap. harder. faster. believe you can fly. feel the power of the ancestors." he continued. she flapped harder and faster. still nothing. "hmm. you can stop now." he said. she stopped, and her wings drooped to her side. "let's try climbing the mountain. getting at a higher altitude will make it easier to fly." he said. "come on." he continued. he then started climbing the mountain. Firefly followed. they climbed until they were several feet off the ground. Titus stood on a ledge with Firefly beside him. she looked down.
"that's a bit of a drop..." she muttered.
"nothing your wings can't handle. now, prepare yourself."
"for what?" she asked.
"to jump."
"jump?!" she gasped.
"yes, jump. jump off the ledge, spread your wings, and then you can either glide down to the ground, or flap your wings to fly. i would suggest gliding first. now, go."
"now? no practice or warning or training?"
"nope. just jump. i'll be right behind you."
"you will?"
"yes, i will. i will make sure you don't crash." he said.
"ok." she gulped. she walked to the edge. she closed her eyes, spread her wings, and hesistated.
"jump." Titus said. with a flap of her wings and a push of her legs, she leaped off the ledge. "spread your wings! start flapping!" he hollered. she did as she was told. her wings were spread wide, and she flapped frantically. she didn't want a repeat of last time. however, she continued to fall. then Titus leaped off the ledge, and dove downwards quickly. he grabbed her with his claws, and then flew upwards. "you can open your eyes now." he said, calmly. she did, and looked down. she gasped. she was up in the air. "now, you're not flying, at least not on your own. so, what do you think?" he asked. he flew high over the forrest.
"everything looks so small from up here. it's a wonderful view." she smiled.
"yes, it is. flying is quite marvelous." he said. then he turned around, and headed for the top of the mountain. "now, we will try again. this time, from a higher ledge, and i will jump with you instead of after you."
"we're going together?"
"yes, but i'm not carrying you. i'm not giving you a ride on my back, mind you. i teach others to do things, i don't do it for them." he said. they soon landed at the top. he set her down on the ground. "now, do the same as before, except for the not-flying part." he chuckled lightly. she approached the ledge. she looked down. "it helps if you don't do that, but i'm afraid i'm too late." he said. he walked up beside her. "spread your wings, take a deep breath, and when you're ready, jump." he said. and she did. she jumped off the ledge just like before. Titus was right behind her. "flap your wings! quickly!" he hollered. she then started flapping. "harder! faster!" he said. she flapped harder and faster. "believe you can fly! keep flapping! believe in yourself! you can do it!" he encouraged her. she then stopped falling. she hovered in the air, her wings flapping. Titus was beside her, grinning. "that's it! that's it!" he chuckled. Firefly looked around. she then smiled. she turned to Titus.
"now how do i actually move?" she asked. he chuckled.
"do what i do." he said. he started flying around her. he flew slowly, showing every movement. "see how i'm moving? do the same. follow me." he said. and she did. they flew in circles at first. then Titus flew upwards. Firefly followed. they flew staraight for a bit. then he turned. she did too. he then dove dowanwards, and pulled back up. she did the same. she giggled as the followed her mentor. she was flying. they flew around for a bit, just getting in some practice.
"now, how do i land?" Firefly asked.
"ah, now that can be tricky." Titus said. "you have to glide down, slowly and gracefully. when you get near the ground, stretch your legs out, and plat your feet on the ground. as you do that, pull your wings back, flapping slowly. once your feet are planted firmly on the ground, fold your wings up. i'll land near the temple. meet me there." he said. he then dove downwards. she watched him. he landed with grace and ease.
"ok, time to land....." she muttered to herself. she then dove downwards. she glided down, but missed the temple. she kept going until she reached some tall trees outside a small cave. she continued gliding downwards, and ran into the trees. she crashed on the ground outside the cave. some branches started to break. she looked up just in time to see a couple big branches come crashing down on her. she heard footsteps coming towards her, but she couldn't tell where they were coming from. they were slow and light. they didn't seem to be Titus's footsteps.

well firefly learned how to fly very cool, but who is that, that is coming towards her? hmm great chapter like always.

Chapter 31: Mean and Green

Firefly groaned. she threw the branches off of her. she raised her head, and looked around. she didn't see anyone. the footsteps seemed to have stopped. she got up, and brushed herself off.
"great. just great..." she muttered to herself.
"nice landing." a young, female voice chuckled.
"who's there?!" Firefly hollered, looking around. the voice laughed. it seemed to be coming from all directions.
"why don't you try to find us if you're so curious." the voice answered. it sounded like there was more than one, and Firefly was surrounded.
"who are you?! where are you?! how many of you are there?!"
"so many questions, so little time. if you must know, let your curiosity guide you to us." the voice chuckled lightly. Firefly hesistated. she then took a couple of steps towards the cave. "surprise, surprise!" several voices laughed. then several dragons dwiftly flew out of hiding, and surrounded Firefly. she looked around her. they all looked exactly alike. each one was a young female dragoness. they had forrest green scales with a jade green underbelly and inside wings. thier eyes were lime green. they each had six black horns, and black claws. thier tail-ends were shaped like blades and were colored black. they had a green spiked crest from head to tail. the spikes were black. "you're surrounded now!" they all said, thier voices exactly the same.
"now, wait a minute, maybe this is all just a mis-understanding..." Firefly muttered, sounding a bit nervous.
"no. you tresspass, you face conseqeunces!" they snarled.
"i didn't know this place was yours, honest!" she said.
"too late for that!" they hissed. they then slowly inched towards her. Firefly glanced at them all. she didn't know what to do. then she got an idea. she took a deep breath, and put on a brave face.
"all right, bring it on!" she yelled. she then lowered her head, and charged towards them. she went right through some of them, and they disappeared. she attacked the others, and they disappeared also. they seemed to be nothing more than an illousin. Firefly looked around, dazed and confused. "wh--what happened? where'd they go? what were they?" she asked.
"some friends of mine. want to meet more?" the same voice asked behind her. Firefly turned around. no one was there.
"what? who? where are you?" Firefly looked around.
"wouldn't you like to know." the voice giggled from behind. Firefly whirled around. no one was there.
"ok, no more games. show yourself!" she demanded.
"so bossy. so rude. i appear when i feel like it, not when i'm told." she chuckled lightly from behind. Firefly whirled around again. still nothing.
"you better show yourself before i get impatient." Firefly said, sternly.
"is that a threat?"
"that's a promise and a threat! show yourself!" she snarled.
"ooh. i'm so scared." the voice giggled. Firefly turned in all directions. the voice echoed.
"where are you?! show yourself!"
"you're no fun. no fun at all. party pooper. fun sucker. where's your sense of humor?"
"i guess i lost it when i crashed." she sneered. "now, stop hiding!"
"spoil sport. fine. if you insist....." she said. Firefly looked around. then footsteps came from the cave. Firefly waited, watching carefully. then a figure appeared. it was a dragoness. she appeared to be like the younger ones, but much larger. her eyes glowed lime green. "how's this for an appearance?" she sneered.
"uh.....t--t--that's very good......." Firefly muttered nervously, feeling intimidated.
"now scram!" the dragoness growled. then Firefly ran away. the dragoness watched, laughing evily. Firefly hurried back towards the temple. the menacing laughter was now stuck in her head.

oh uh now who did firefly get into now hahaha. hmm wonder what this dragoness is about.

Chapter 32: An Old Fool's Tale

Firefly breathed heavily as she rushed inside the temple. she slammed the door behind her. she wanted to forget about that crazy dragoness. she closed her eyes, and plopped down on the ground. she tried to relax for a moment.
"Firefly, where were you?" a male voice asked. she opened her eyes, and looked up. "i've been waiting to continue our training. how did the landing go?" Titus sounded curious, yet his expression said he was concerned.
"i crash landed into some trees outside a small cave. no big deal." she said, trying to sound casual.
"are you all right?"
"fine. just fine." she sighed.
"i see. well, if you are up to, i'd like to continue training."
"can it wait until tomorrow?" she asked.
"sure. i'll wake up early if that's all right."
"ok..." she moaned, sounding tired.
"perhaps you should go to bed now."
"all right...." she said, getting up. she then slowly walked down the hallway.
"hmmm...." Titus wandered what was going on. he turned his head towards the door. he then shurgged, and walked down the hallway. later that night, Firefly was resting with her dad. she stared off into the distance, appearing to be in deep thought.
"something wrong?" Icetalon asked.
"huh?" she seemed quite aloof. she looked at him. "i'm fine." she said.
"yet you seem.........what's the word.....? distant...... anything on your mind?"
"well, i started training today..." she began.
"really? how did it go?"
"ok, i guess. Titus said he can teach me to fight whether i have an element or not."
"well, that's good. anything else?"
"uh, yeah. he taught me to fly..."
"he did? splendid. how did you do?"
"it was a bit of a rough start, but i think i did ok. it was the landing that wasn't good...."
"ah. yes, it can be tricky. but you did good, yes? i'm sure you'll do even better tomorrow."
"i guess....."
"hey, the landing couldn't have been that bad."
"i crashed landed into some trees....." she said, feeling like a fool.
"that's all?" he asked, sounding as if that was nothing. Firefly gave him a confused look. "why, when i was first learning to fly, i looked like a complete fool. i couldn't get my feet off the ground for anything. when i jumped off boulders for practice, i fell on the ground. when i leaped off ledges, i went tumbeling down the mountain, and fell to the ground. when i finally did get in the air, i would run into pretty much everything out there, and crash pretty quickly. one time, i crash landed on an ice berg out on the water. the ice berg cracked, and i slid into the freezing water. if i wern't an ice dragon i would have froze to death or drowned for sure." he said, looking embarressed.
"oh, my, gosh. really?" Firefly asked, trying to keep from laughing.
"yes, i was quite the clutz." he nodded. "but i can laugh about it now." he smiled. "and i want you to do the same. whenever you think you look like a fool, remember my story. you can't possibly be a bigger fool than me. use my story to make yourself feel better. you can laugh at it, or just compare your clumsiness to mine. i'm sure it will help." he winked.
"ok." she giggled. then she calmed down a little. "so, did it take you a while to learn to breathe ice?"
"oh, yes. like flying, i wasn't the most...... skilled or talented ice dragon..... the others seemed to learn so fast, while i could barely let out a breath of cold air." he shoke his head in embaressment.
"how did you learn?"
"like anyone does, with practice. you didn't think i was born an expert at everything, did you?"
"no." she shoke her head.
"then you'll be the same way. it doesn't matter how long it takes to learn something. what's important is to be determined. don't give up. however long it takes, however hard it is, don't give up. you must work to acheive things in life. not everything will be handed to you on a golden platter. all things take time. be pateient. practice makes progress."
"i thought it made perfection?"
"no. practice makes progress, then perfection. you must first make progress before you're perfect at something. to be perfect takes time. lost of time. when i was young, i was the biggest, clumsiest fool. now, i am a skilled and graceful adult. in time, you will become the same. if you are willing to work at it. just believe you can, and try your best." he smiled, nudging his nose to hers. Firefly smiled.
"thanks, Dad." she said.

Chapter 33: Rouge

the next morning, Titus opened the door to a small bedroom. he saw Firefly sleeping peacefully. he walked up to her.
"Firefly. Firefly. wake up. it's time for your training." he spoke softly, shaking her gently. she barely opened her eyes, and yawned. she then gazed up at him.
"wha......? what time is it.....?" she yawned.
"the sun is just now rising. are you ready to train?" he asked.
"can i sleep a little more.....?" she mutterd, sleepily.
"all right. but don't sleep too long." he said. then he quietly left the room. Firefly yawned before rolling over, and falling back asleep. a few hours passed, and everyone in the temple had already woken up. Tynan, Zanna, and the gaurdians got up when Titus did, and had been in the library for most of the morning. Titus was with them, and the group quietly read books. Icetalon woke up a little later, and joined them. then the group had a casual conversation until they were joined by a drowsy, half-asleep dragonfly. once Flash had fully woken up, he joined in on the conversation, making everyone laugh with some jokes. however, it was noon, and Firefly was still asleep. she tossed and turned in her room as she was dreaming. she began to mutter something.
"who........who are you........? where are you.........? show yourself.........." she muttered. she continued to toss and turn. ".......what do you want........? who are you.........?" she continued. she kept tossing and turning as she talked in her sleep. a few minutes passed. "...............show yourself..........!" she screamed. the others heard her, and rushed out of the library. they burst into her room. "........i said show yourself.......!" she yelled. they looked confused. Icetalon quietly approached her.
"Snowflake. Snow, wake up. wake up, Snowflake." he said softly, shaking her. she opened her eyes.
"Dad......?" she muttered, sleepily. "......i--i--is that you........?" she asked. he nodded.
"yes, it's me. the others are here too. are you all right?"
"....yeah.......i--i--it was......her.......that dragoness......."
"what dragoness?" he asked, a bit confused.
"did you see a vision?" Zanna stepepd forward. Firefly shoke her head.
"no......it already happened....."
"what do you mean? who are you talking about?" Delano asked.
"this dragoness........i saw her.......and others.........i met them.........when i crashed..........they......they........they surrounded me.......they all looked the same.......all sounded alike.........when i attacked.......they disappeared........i went right through them........then this big one........she was creepy........she always seemed to be behind me.........but never saw her........not until........she came out of the cave.........she had an evil laugh.........i don't know who she was..........or what she wants......." she muttered. the others looked amongst themselves.
"i don't have the slightest idea who that was....." Icetalon muttered.
"don't look at me..." Flash said.
"i know who it is." Delano spoke up.
"you do.....? who is it.....?" Firefly asked.
"come. we will discuss this in the library." he said. they all left Firefly's room, and walked into the library. they gathered in a circle.
"so, who's this dragoness? what does she want?" Tynan asked.
"she doesn't want anything." Delano answered. they looked surprised.
"then what's with the tricks? just showing off?" he asked.
"maybe. 'ooh, look at me. i'm a magical dragon. fear me!'" Flash teased. the others were not amused. "yikes. tough crowd. that's one of my best jokes too."
"yes, well, it doesn't help when your audiance consists of dragons." Icetalon said. Delano cleared his throat.
"back to the dragoness." he said.
"so, what's up with her?" Tynan asked.
"she's a young dragoness by the name of Rouge. she's a prankster." he said.
"young prankster? but the one i saw was an adult. it couldn't be her." Firefly said.
"but you did see several smaller dragons, yes?" he asked. she nodded. "well, that's what she really looks like."
"what? how did she get so big?" she gasped in surprise.
"that's her power. she's an illousionist dragon. her power is to create illousins of anything she chooses. i've seen her a couple of times myself. she uses her powers to cause trouble. she plays pranks on others. her more common tricks are mutiplying herself and making herself look bigger, just like you saw."
"oh. well, how do you know when it's a trick?"
"her eyes give it all away. when they glow, she's using her power. however, this cannot be seen in the illousins she creates."
"is that her only power?" Tynan asked.
"as far as we know, yes."
"ok, so when do we fight this chick, and give her the what for?" Flash said, holding up his fists.
"you don't." he said.
"huh? what do you mean?" Firefly asked. "isn't she evil?"
"she shows no signs of it. she's simply a troublemaker. she only wants to scare others. i've never seen her harm anyone."
"so, that's all she does? play tricks?" Zanna asked.
"form what i've seen, yes. and her powers arn't offensive."
"what do you mean?" Firefly asked.
"i mean, from what i know, her powers don't cause damage. they can't hurt you. and in turn, you can't hurt them. they're illousins. they're not really there. but they seem so lifelike that it's hard to tell for sure." he explained.
"how do i avoid her?" Firefly asked.
"you can't. not unless you never leave the temple. no one knows how to escape Rouge. she could be anywhere really. just be careful, and remember to watch her eyes. that's the secret to know when she's using her powers. however, she usually hides somewhere while using her powers. just remember that they can't actually hurt you." Delano explained.

Hmmm ok shes a trouble maker, hmm interesting wonder what role she plays in all this.

Chapter 34: Tricks

the next day, Firefly woke up early and set out for a morning fly. she decided to practice flying before her training with Titus. she got a good running start, and flapped her wings hard an fast. she leaped into the air, and was off. she flew over the forrest, trying out diffrent menuvers. after she flew around for a bit, she decided to try landing. she eyed the temple, preparing to land outside. she glided down, but glided past the temple. she crashed into the trees again. she fell to the ground outside the cave. pushed aside the branches, got up, and brushed herself off.
"great. i still can't land." she muttered. then she heard footsteps. she looked around. "who's there?" she asked. then the sound of laughter surrounded her.
"what, you got short-term memory loss?" a female voice giggled. Firefly snorted, knowing who it was.
"no. i jut wasn't sure if it was you."
"who else would it be?"
"i don't know. but i know who you are." she grinned.
"oh, really? entertain me then. guess my name."
"i don't have to guess. your name is Rouge."
"wrong. try again." she giggled.
"don't lie to me. i know that's your name."
"and what makes you think that?"
"Delano told me. he said your an illousinist. a troublemaker."
"spoil sport. he always has to ruin my fun." she said. the voice was behind her. Firefly turned around. it was her. Rouge. she was appeared normal as her young self. her eyes wern't glowing.
"so, this is really you? no tricks?"
"i don't have any tricks up my scales now. too early. besides, you found me out. or rather, Delano ratted me out. so, what's up? why do research on little ol' me? and why did you come back? wanted to be scared again?" she grinned.
"for your information, i wasn't scared. and i didn't come back on purpose this time or last time."
"oh, right. i remember now. graceful red can't land." she giggled.
"well, let's see you do better."
"i'm not one to show off."
"right. and you wern't doing that the last time we met?"
"that was just for fun." she grinned.
"why? why scare others? what is it you want?"
"nothing. and why not scare others? i mean, i have to use up my time somehow."
"so you just play tricks on everyone?"
"you have a better idea?"
"well, no. but i don't have your power."
"what power do you have?" she asked. Firefly hesistated.
"i rather not say." she answered.
"oh, i see. you haven't learned anything yet. a late bloomer i see."
"i am not!" she snapped.
"what's the matter red? losing your temper?" she giggled.
"no. and don't call me red."
"well, what should i call you then? or are you going to tell me your name?"
"i'm not telling you anything! i shouldn't even be talking to you!" she said. then she started to walk away. Rouge got in front of her.
"why not? you busy?"
"no. i just shouldn't be here."
"well, i'm not busy. we should hang out. it'd be fun." she grinned.
"yeah, fun for you."
"that's what i meant." she smiled. "so, what's the hurry? got training to do?"
"yeah. later."
"great. that means you could stay here, and i could scare---i mean play with you." she grinned.
"no thanks. i'll pass." she said, walking around her. Rouge blocked her path again.
"nope. can't let you leave."
"what? why? last time you wanted me gone, and now you won't let me leave?"
"that was diffrent. i was busy then. i'm bored now."
"you were busy? doing what? and why should i have to stay if you're bored?"
"ugh. so many questions. this is no fun."
"then let me leave."
"no. can't let you go." she said. Firefly sighed, and rolled her eyes.
"look, i'm sure you don't want me hanging around your cave."
"oh, this isn't my cave. i don't live here."
"you don't? where do you live?"
"can't tell."
"why not?"
"just can't."
"ok...." she said. she then tried to leave again. Rouge blocked her path.
"you know what, maybe i could show you where i live..." she said, a sly smile appeared on her face.
"i don't like this idea. i want to go back to the temple." she said. she then walked around Rouge. Rouge got in front of her again. "ok, that's really getting annoying." Firefly muttered.
"sorry. you have no choice. can't let you leave. you have to come with me." she insisted.
"what? why? what are you trying to do?" Firefly asked, suspiciously.
"nothing. come on. follow me." she said, starting to walk away.
"no. you can't make me." she said. Rouge turned to face her.
"oh, but i can." she said with an evil grin. then her eyes started to glow.

Hmm what does rouge want with her? hmm odd but interesting i like this.

Chapter 35: Missing

a few hours had passed, and the other dragons found out Firefly was missing. they all searched the temple and the forrest. though, so far, they had found nothing. they continued to search. they then met up outside the temple.
"did anyone find anything?" Delano asked, looking at them.
"nope." Hashim answered.
"sorry, no." Aisha frowned.
"there seems to be no sign of her." Snake hissed.
"but she has to be somewhere. she can't just disappear. right?" Flash said.
"no, i don't think so." Tynan said.
"she doesn't seem to have that power." Zanna added.
"where could she have gone then?" Flash asked.
"she could be anywhere by now." Asiah said, worriedly.
"hmph. she'll be fine. stop worrying." Hashim grunted.
"how cold. do not care at all that she's missing?" Snake hissed.
"not really. i mean, it's not like she's dead." he scoffed.
"heartless dragon!" Icetalon spat in an angry tone. the others turned to him. "my little girl is lost and alone out there and she very well could be dead! and how dare you have the nerve to act like this is nothing!" he snarled.
"calm down, Icetalon. i promise you, we will find her." Delano said, calmly.
"how do you know?! can you see the future?! and how dare you be so calm! how can any of you remain calm when a young dragon is missing in this dark time! she could be anywhere! anything could have happened! we should spilt up and fly in all directions in search of her! we should worry about her until we know for sure she is safe! we shouldn't be able to rest at night, or eat during the day! my daughter is missing and we should be doing everything in our power to find her before it's too late!" he yelled. the others were silent.
"gosh, darn it, you're right! what are we sitting around for? we shouldn't stop until we find her! who's with me?!" Flash hollered, raising his hands high. the others remained silent. "well, it was worth a try..." he muttered, lowering his hands.
"well, if the rest of you don't care, then me and Flash shall search for her ourselves. come on, Flash!" Icetalon said. then he started to walk away.
"right behind you big guy!" he said, flying after him. Tynan and Zanna looked at each other.
"wait up!" he said, running after them. "i want to help too." he continued.
"so do i." Zanna added, walking to them.
"i shall join you as well." Titus said, walking up to them. Icetalon nodded.
"thank you." he said. then he turned to the gaurdians. "will you help as well?"
"we shall wait here for your return." Delano said, stepping forward. "perhaps Firefly will return on her own. until then, be careful. best of luck to you." he said. there was a moment of silence.
"let's go everyone." Icetalon said. then they flew off in search of Firefly.

Well ice talon surely can have a temper, but hey its understandable he ought to be looking for her as much as he can. And it shows who really cares for her too. wonder where exactly she is.

yeah. an ice dragon with a temper. or more so an over protective father; one who will stop at nothing to find his daughter, who isn't even his.

Chapter 36: The Kidnappers

there was nothing but the sound of footsteps in a long, dark hallway. only little candels on the walls lit the way. a large, dark figure wandered through the hall in silence. the figure soon reached a large, iron door. they opened it, and walked inside. then they stopped for a moment. the sound of light footsteps could be heard. then a small figure stepped into the light.
"i didn't expect to see you here." the smaller figure said in a female voice.
"i was sent here. where is the prisoner?" the larger figure asked in a male voice.
"resting. she's tired."
"from what? what did you do to her, Rouge?"
"i was only playing, Murkvenom."
"playing? more tricks, i see. you were told not to use your powers for simple pleasure."
"i know, i know. but i can't help it. i get bored in this stuffy, old place. what are we doing with her, anyway?"
"were you not paying attention when you were told what the master plan was?"
"you know i don't listen. it bores me." she answered. he sighed.
"what are we going to do with you, Rouge?"
"me? you're the one that failed to kidnap little red in the first place. that's why i was sent after her. although, the first time we met, i was just playing around. i was later told that you failed."
"i did not fail. retreiving the child is harder than it seems."
"uh huh. sure. so, what happened to you? i thought that old ice dragon got you good."
"i was simply frozen. no big deal.
"i bet Mom had to save your sorry but. i bet she chewed you out good for that. then i got this stinking job. dang it, Murkvenom, you know i hate work. next time, don't screw up. 'cause every time you do, it comes back to bite me in the but."
"i did not need her help. nor was i punished. and since when do i take orders from the likes of you?"
"since you failed to do a simple task. figures it would take an eight year old to catch one."
"nevermind that. where is she?"
"what am i, a guide? go find her yourself. or are you unable to do that too?"
"i can find her. i just thought i'd ask which cell she was in."
"last one on the right. the others are full."
"why? how many creatures do you have trapped here?"
"for your information, Mom wanted them locked up in here. i don't know who they are."
"do you at least know what they are?"
"yeah, they're just a couple of dragons."
"what kind of dragons?"
"do i have to tell you everything?"
"you don't know, do you?"
"i know who i'm gaurding."
"i thought you said you didn't."
"well, i know what they are."
"yes, we've been through this. well? what kind of dragons are they?"
"there's fourteen total, includding little red."
"i didn't ask how many there were."
"whatever. anyway, i counted twelve gold dragons and one blue one."
"there are elders locked up in here?!" he asked, shocked.
"yeah. so?"
"so?! those are powerful dragons! how did they end up here?!"
"how should i know? i didn't catch them. look, all i know is that, all but red are in a permanent sleep until Mom decides what she wants to do with them."
"how are they in a permanent sleep?"
"i don't know, probally some kind of spell. look, just go get red and leave before you give me a headache."
"i didn't come here to take her. i was just sent to check up on her."
"you wern't sent here at all, were you? i bet your hiding from Mom."
"i am not hiding from your mother."
"yeah, right. the only time you go anywhere without a purpose is when you try to avoid her. and you know that only pisses her off. which isn't a surprise. pretty much everything you do pisses her off."
"not everything."
"name one." she said. he was silent. "right. my point exactly. well, i'll be here doing my job. you better go somewhere else before i rat you out." she grinned.
"you wouldn't dare."
"try me." she said, still grinning.
"MURKVENOM!" a female voice roared in an angry tone.
"he's in here!" Rouge called. "you better run." she smirked at him. then Murkvenom rushed out of the room. Rouge giggled. then she started walking towards the cells.

Wait what the? how did she get caught? i thought hmm well i guess i have to wait and see then.

Chapter 37: The Seige

Icetalon and the others set out to find Firefly. however, they didn't know where to look. beyond the temple and forrest was darkness that covered the land. Flash, Zanna, and Tynan didn't want to venture out into that darkness. even Titus didn't think it was a good idea. Icetalon, however, didn't care. the only thing that mattered to him now was finding Firefly. they walked through the forrest, and soon reached the end. before them was a wasteland shrouded in darkness. they stopped and stared ahead.
"come on. let's go." Icetalon said without fear.
"woah! wait a minute!" Titus said, holding him back. "we don't know what's out there. and we can't take the young ones out there." he said. Icetalon turned his head back to look at him.
"do what you want, but i have to find my daughter."
"but it isn't safe. we shouldn't go out there without knowing what we're up agaisnt."
"i don't care. the safety of my daughter is more important."
"i understand that, but this isn't a good idea. i'm sorry." he said. they stood in silence for a moment. then bombs fell from the sky, and landed all around them. the blasts knocked them off thier feet. when the smoke cleared, they gazed upward. above them were several dreadwings with apes riding them. they continued to drop bombs. the dragon frantically tried to avoid them, but they were surrounded. "get under me kids!" Titus roared. he shielded Zanna, Tynan, and Flash with his wings. however, Icetalon was hit.
"Icetalon!" Tynan yelled.
"are you ok?!" Flash hollered. Icetalon lay motionless on the ground. he was covered in wounds.
"i'll get him! you three run for cover!" Titus said. he then rushed to Icetalon. he picked him up, and carried him on his back. the others headed for the forrest. Titus followed them. the dreadwings followed. they continued to drop bombs. "head towards the temple!" Titus hollered. they then ran at full speed. they soon reached the temple. the gaurdians heard the explosions. they rushed outside. bombs were dropped on the temple. "Delano! we're under attack! get the young ones to safety!" he yelled. Aisha rushed to Zanna, Tynan, and Flash.
"come with me! hurry!" she said. they followed her through the forrest. Titus rushed to Delano's side.
"how you hurt?" Delano asked.
"no, but Icetalon is. we've got to get out of here!"
"we can't just leave the temple to be destroyed!" Snake said.
"then we must fight!" Hashim said, bravely. then many more dreadwings showed up. they were soon joined by wyverns, apes, and grublins.
"we are greatly outnumbered! the odds are against us!" Titus said.
"then allow me to even the odds!" Delano raised his head high, ready for battle. then he disappeared in shadow. shadows appeared under the apes. then Delano reappeared just as the apes turned on the others. "go! fight the others!" he commanded. the apes attacked the grublins. however, they could not attack the wyverns and dreadwings, which were in the air.
"stand back and watch a master!" Hashim roared. then his roar changed to a bloodcurdeling scream. the wyverns flew away out of fear. the remaining grublins ran away. the dreadwings remained, and the apes were no longer affected by the shadow.
"you call that batteling? i've seen meaner chickens!" Snake mocked. then he spit acid on the dreadwings. they fell to the ground. then many black dragons flew towards the templ with dreadwings and wyverns behind them. they dropped mor bombs, and proceded to attack. the gaurdians roared, and fought back. Titus fought back the best he could. however, renforcements kept coming. the gaurdians continued to fight while Aisha ran off with the young ones. the enemy continued to bomb the temple. the explosions caused a fire, and the fire spread, destroying everything in it's path. the temple had been destroyed, and the forrest was burning.
although they put up a good fight, the gaurdians were soon overcome by the enemy. the black dragons grabbed them, and put them to sleep. then they were carried away. the enemy flew towards a giant mountain shrouded in darkness.

Wow that sounded epic. But the gaurdians lost sounds like the young ones escaped but what happened to ice talon did he escape with the others while being carried or did he get captured? i hope not. good chapter.

thanks. Aisha, Flash, Zanna, and Tynan are currently running through the forrest. Titus and the other gaurdians were taken. now, Icetalon was being carried by Titus, which was why it says at one point
"Titus fought back the best he could." he had limited mobility because he was carrying Icetalon. when he and the others were taken, Icetalon was with them, even though he was already unconcious.

Chapter 38: From Slave To Monster

"more prisoners for the dungeuon." a male voice said. five male dragons was set down on the ground.
"Murkvenom, i already told you, there's no more room here. i gaurd the smallest dungeuon, and this one is already full. go somewhere else."
"your mother said to put them in here, Rouge. so, don't argue."
"i'm just saying that this dungeuon is full. those big dragons won't--" then she stopped. she looked at the dragons. "Delano? Hashim, Snake? and Titus too? why did you bring them here? and who's this white dragon?"
"the white one is little red's dad. they all put up a fight to prevent the temple from being destroyed. but they failed. the minions brought them back here. i don't know why."
"perhaps Mom has a plan for them. where is she anyway? wasn't she supposed to be yelling at you or something?"
"haha. i avoided her again. then i found the minions with these five dragons. i thought i would deliver them to you."
"no, you're just trying to stay away from my mom again. face it, Murkvenom, you're nothing but a big coward."
"i am--i do not have time for this. just put these dragons in a cell."
"what am i supposed to do with them? i already told you that this dungeuon is full. what more do you want from me?"
"i want you to cooperate. you're smart. you'll think of something."
"so, what? you're just going to leave these dragons here? i don't have room for them. besides, i can't move them."
"oh, just use your powers you whiney little brat."
"you know i can't use my illousions to grasp things. they're not real, remember?"
"you mean you still haven't learned to master that power? there's so much more you could do with it. you could even get your illousions to grasp things. with enough training that is."
"Murkvenom, you know i hate training or work of any kind. i'm only here because i have to be here. i much rather be playing tricks on someone."
"yes, i know. why your mother keeps you around, i'll never know. you're useless."
"you're one to talk. you failed to catch red whereas i got her. i fail to see how i am useless. besides, Mom wouldn't get rid of me."
"you're one smart little pest, you know that? by the way, how did you manage to catch little red?"
"oh. hehe. a magician never reveals her secrets." she grinned.
"come on, Rouge. spill. what little trick did you pull?"
"haha. the age-old victim trick."
"you mean the one where you make the illousion that there is someone in danger?"
"yes. little red fell for it big time. see, we were talking, then we heard this scream, caused by my illousion of course. little red runs off to help the innocent, leaving me behind. then, while she's looking in a small cave for somone in need, i'm sneaking up behind her with a big rock. i then whack her on the head, knocking her unconcious. then i carry her here, and lock her up before she wakes up. it's fool proof. everyone always wants to be the hero. they all fall for it." she grinned. Murkvenom shook his head.
"i don't know how you do it, Rouge."
"oh, it's very simple. they're all such morons. they're so easily fooled." she chuckled lightly.
"yes. anyway, just take these dragons, and do something with them. i have to go before your mother catches me." he said. then he left. Rouge sighed.
"finally. i thought he'd never leave." she said. she then glanced down at the dragons. "what am i going to do about you guys?" she said to herself. then she thought of something. she turned towards the cells, and began walking towards them. she stopped at the one on the far left. inside was a large blue dragon. it appeared to be a male ice dragon. he wore a black, spiked coller. i appeared to be magical.
she grabbed some chains hanging on the wall, and opened the cell door. she left it wide open, not worried at all that he may escape.
she stepped inside, and put chains on all the dragon's limbs; legs, wings, tail, and neck. "get up." she said. the dragon didn't budge. "i said, wake up!" she yeleld in his ear. his eyes opened. "you got work to do." she said, staring into his blue eyes. the dragon got up, and stepped out of the cell. "you see those dragons over there? grab them, and place them in a cell. they can be your roommates. now move." she commanded. the dragon did as he was told. one by one, he placed the dragons in his cell. once he was done, he looked at Rouge for further instructions. "you're done for now. the problem is, your cell is full, so you can't go back in there." she said. he sat down. "i didn't say you were going to just hang out here with me. come on." she said. she then started to walk out of the dungeuon. he followed like an obediant zombie. he showed no emotion, and seemed unable to think or act on his own. she led him down the long, dark hallway. she then opened the door to a pitch black room. he followed her inside. "Murkvenom, if you're hiding in here, i could use you." she called. then there was the sound of footsteps coming from the room.
"i'm here, Rouge. what are you doing?" he asked. all you could see were his eyes.
"lite the place up, will you? i got a plan for this one." she said with sly smile.
"all right, fine. but if your mother finds out, this whole thing was your idea. i had nothing to do with it." he said. then he clapped his claws together once. the room lite up from candels hanging on the walls. the room appeared empty except for a black pool of liquid in the middle. "i'll wait over here." he added, moving over to the side. Rouge turned to the dragon.
"ok. it's all set. now, what i want you to do is approach the black liquid, and soak yourself in it. cover yourself completely. stay in there for a few minutes. emerge when you feel you are ready." she explained. the dragon nodded. he then approached the black liquid. he stepped in the pool, and stayed in the liquid for some time. he then finally emerged. when he did, his appearance was much darker. he was a deep, navy blue. his eyes were blood red. he had long, bony spikes from head to tail. his wings became more like skeletal blades. he now had six large horns. his tail was longer, and more powerful. his tail-endwas shaped like a sharp, blade-like icicle. his claws were more like razors. he now had a blood red knife-like design on his body. he was two times bigger, and appeared much mroe ferocious. the dragon roared like an angry demon. Murkvenom grinned, and nodded. Rouge grinned evily.
"welcome to our side, Frostbolt. welcome indeed." she said, a bit of darkness in her voice.

now, Frostbolt belongs to Ice Bane. you'll learn more about this dragon a little later.

Chapter 39: A Monster's First Mission

"all right, your first misson is simple. find the survivors. you may kill the dragonfly and the boy if you wish. however, you must bring the females back alive. do you understand, Frostbolt?"
"yes, my queen." his voice was twisted and dark.
"please, call me Rouge. my mother is the queen."
"very well then."
"now, go. the survivors should be in what remains of the forrest outside the burned temple. be sure to hurry back with the females."
"as you wish." he said. then he left the room, and headed out towards the forrest.
:meanwhile:
"i can't.........keep running........we should stop to rest......." Tynan breathed heavily. he slowed down to a stop. the others stopped, and looked at him.
"we can't stop.......we have to keep moving......do you want those things to catch us.....?" Zanna asked, breathing heavily.
"i don't wanna get caught.......but break sounds good......" Flash took a deep breath.
"unfortunately.....Tynan is right.....we can't keep running forever......we shall rest here for now....." Aisha said, sitting down. the youngs dragons plopped down on the ground. Flash rested on a nearby rock. then they heard the sound of wings flapping.
"what was that?" Flash asked, looking around nervously.
"probally just a bird or something..." Zanna closed her eyes to rest. the sound grew louder.
"or something....." Tynan looked around. the sound grew louder, and sounded too big for any normal bird.
"that can't be a bird." Aisha said.
"and i don't want to know what it could be....." Flash muttered.
"what's the matter, Flash? scared?" Zanna looked at him.
"what? no! don't be ridiculous....." he said, trying not to sound scared. then branches snapped, and a loud thud was heard. the flapping stopped.
"shhh....something landed nearby....." Aisha whispered. everyone sat quietly. then something rushed through the bushes and roared evily at them.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!" Flash screamed. then he started to fly away.
"Flash has the right idea! let's get out of here!" Tynan ran after him.
"wait up!" Zanna called, rushing after them. Aisha turned to run, but the monster grabbed her.
"ahhhhh!" she screamed, trying to break free of it's grasp.
"Mom!" Tynan stopped, and turned back. he rushed back to her.
"woah! what are you doing?! that thing is back there!" Flash yelled.
"come on! we have to help!" Zanna hollered. then she ran after him. Flash followed. they trio eyed thier foe as he held onto Aisha. the creature was a monsterous dragon.
"let go of my mom!" Tynan growled. he lowered his head, and charged at the beast. the dragon laughed, and shot ice shards at him.
"Tynan, look out!" Zanna warned. but it was too late. Tynan was frozen solid. the dragon then put chains on Aisha. then he approached Zanna.
"you're coming with me." he said in a dark, twisted voice.
"i don't think so big guy!" Flash yelled bravely. he then flew at the dragon, knife in hand. he then started to stab the dragon's shoulder with the puny knife. the dragon turned his head and glared at the little dragonfly with blood red eyes. he then raised a claw and swiped at him. "yikes!" Flash darted back and forth to dodge the mammoth claw.
"darn pest!" the dragon grumbled, trying to swat him.
"come and get me ugly!" Flash teased. he then flew off towards the woods. the dragon scoffed. then he turned towards Zanna.
"now....." he reached out a claw to grab her. Zanna gasped, and turned to run away. the dragon growled, and then shot ice shards at her. she was unable to dodge them, and was frozen solid. the dragon started to approach her.
"leave her alone!" Flash came out of nowhere, and started to stab the dragon again. the dragon proceded to swat at him. Flash dodged, darting in all directions.
"argh! i don't have time for this!" he growled. then he walked over to where he had Aisha chained. he grabbed her, and started to fly away.
"get back here with her!" Flash yelled, trying to follow him. the dragon smirked as he flew faster, leaving the little dragonfly behind. Flash sighed, knowing he couldn't keep up. he then flew back to Tynan and Zanna, who were still frozen. "what am i gonna do now.....?" he muttered, looking at them.

great chapter but wonder why he didnt take them with him.

well, he was only supposed to grab the females. anyway, you'll find out more in the next part.

Chapter 40: The Ice Kingdom

"your majesty! your majesty!" a panicked male voice hollered. he burst through the double doors of a large room. the room was covered in snow and ice. a mighty throne was located in the back. sitting on that throne was a large, muscular ice dragon. he was twice the size of a normal dragon, and appeared to be older than most. he was a faded blue color, and had dark blue eyes. his belly and inside wings were white. he had six horns that appeared to be dull and chipped. his wings were torn, and he had battle scars. his tail-end was like an icicle. he wore a crown that was made of silver and appeared to look like ice. he wore a dark blue cloak that appeared old, as if passed down for many generations.
"what?! who's there?! what do you want?!" his loud voice boomed. he looked down at the ice dragon.
"your majesty! i have important news!"
"well, spit it out already! what's the news?"
"King Glacier, we found him.......the ice dragon.......we located him....."
"well, what are you waiting for? bring him in!"
"i'm sorry, your majesty. we have not captured him yet."
"what?! then why bother me with this?"
"sir, you don't understand.......they changed him....."
"changed? how? explain yourself!"
"they turned him........evil......."
"evil? you saw him?"
"yes, your majesty. we located him through the vision pool. he has a dark, demonic appearance. he carries the wind gaurdian."
"send out dragons to capture him. free the gaurdian. but bring that ice dragon to me."
"yes, sir. right away, sir."
"oh, and tell my son i want to speak to him."
"yes, sir. that i will, sir."
"well, be gone now." he said. than the dragon left. a few moments later a teenaged ice dragon walked in. his body was light blue, and so were his eyes. he had two dark blue horns. his belly and inside wings were dark blue. he appeared to have a light blue, spiked plate on his chest, which looked like icicles. he had a dark blue, spiked crest with a light blue outline, which almost looked like hair. he had dark blue spikes with a light blue outline. his tail-end was dark blue, and appeared to be spiked hair.
"did you want to see me, dad?" he asked.
"yes, Tundra." the king replied. he stepped off of the throne, and approached his son. "we have found him, the ice dragon."
"you mean, Frostbolt?"
"indeed. there are dragons already on thier way to get him. i have been informed that he is evil, and has captured the wind gaurdian."
"evil? you never mentioned that before."
"he was turned evil. once he is brought here, we will try our best to reverse it."
"i see. Dad, let me help."
"no. it is too dangerous."
"but, Dad, you know i'm a skilled fighter. i've been training for years. you know i'm good. let me help. let me show you what i can do outside of the training room."
"no. my decision is final. you will remain here. we have lost too many ice dragons as it is. i will not lose another. i especially do not want to lose you. now, you may either stay in your room for the night, or stay in the training room or library. and i don't want to hear another word about leaving the ice castle. it is far too dangerous. do you understand?"
"yes, sir." he muttered.
"good. now, you may leave." his father said. then Tundra sighed before walking out of the room.

me : FROST! YOUR EVIL!
frost; (n the backround) WHAT!?
Me: I said... YOUR EVIL!!
frost: WHAT!?
me: nevermind... ey want some chocolate?
frost: WHAT!!??
me; O MY GOD SHUT UP!

me: that was actually funny to read.
F: *in background while eating* what?!

me: what is it with you dragons? huh? do you have hearing problems?
