... Almost all video game heros kill their enemies. It's just how it is. |

That seems to make a lot of sense, there. Well, so long as he's an equal-opportunity enemy killer, I suppose it's okay since that's pretty much par for the course of any video game character. I guess this is another one of those times when the writers and the animators didn't quite get their point across clear enough and I got confused (it happened a lot with cut scenes in ANB for me, which resulted in some truly hilarious misinterpretations ).

It's hard to call someone a hero when they kill their enemys.

Now I grow tired of hearing all this stuff about spyro killing his enemies. he's too kindhearted to do that sort of stuff.

I guess killing is a matter of perspective and from my perspective it appears quite necessary to me. There were only three outcomes that could have come from that confrontation:
1. Spyro getting killed and the world falling to darkness. 2. Spyro letting Gaul live and thus allowing Gaul to enevitably escape and lead another assault on the dragons thus leading to yet another confrontation, assuming Spyro wasn't killed in the renewed onslaught. 3. Spyro killing Gaul to prevent any further destruction at the villains hands. Which outcome do you prefer?

Well not killing them seems to have not been working (see Ripto, who unleashes 4 evil plots in less than a year).
And I was quoting someone from a D&D forum, I think it was from a discussion on if player characters could be of good alignment and kill things. |

MY GOD This conversation changed a lot.
Zepheyr I think you are overreacting. Please don't be offended or anything. I say he HAD to do it. to save the world from destrucion. Like Ripto, Gaul would definately go at it again. It's the way things are. |

Sir? I'm a woman. But no worries. The gender confusion thing happens all the time (including in real life, which is really funny; "Excuse me sir..." *turns around* "...ma'am!" ).
