Chapter 5 - Continued

Toby crouched down, low to the ground, ready to battle the lumbering beast before him. He never gave up! "This is impossible," Toby said. Fireball nodded."Never give up, though!" Toby leaped before thinking, and Cike lashed out with a mighty paw. Fireball unexpectedly leaped up and bit Cike's arm. He yowled in pain. Then, he opened his mouth and shot out a huge blue ice ball. It exploded into a thousand tiny pieces and flew in all directions. Using his wings as a weak shield, Toby hoped the ice shards wouldn't damage the thin membrane of his wings. It did. He grumbled a cuss word, then shot out an earth missile. Cike growled. Fireball began to glow red. Then, he turned into a lethal weapon and started hurtling towards the mighty black dragon. It took Toby a moment to process what he'd done. Fireball had turned himself into a... comet of some sort. He crashed into Cike without it even phasing him. Cike was stunned for a moment. Toby seized the chance. He leaped into the air, and summoned the power of earth within him. It was his favorite element out of the four he harnessed. An eye-catching green aura surrounded him. The earth began to rumble beneath him. Rocks eroded from the ground. Thunder boomed overhead. Fireball and Cike watched in astonishment. Fireball knew that he'd be demolished, so he burrowed quickly underground. Cike, however, was too slow. The power of the fury knocked him immediately unconscious. That was pretty powerful just to knock the mighty beast out. Fireball poked his head out of the ground. "H-h-how..." he stammered. Toby was amazed too. "I... don't know," he replied. Now I'm confident, he thought. Through harnessing such power, Jay-Doque has no chance whatsoever.
