the black dragoness sat in a small room, lite up by candals that sat all around the room. in the middle was a vision pool, of which she was looking into. then there was a knock at the door.
"come in" she said calmly, without turning around. Gloomstealth walked in.
"my queen" he spoke.
"ah, Gloomstealth. did you get the child?" she asked.
"yes, my queen" he replied. she got up, and looked at him.
"excelent. i assume the sentinels gaurd her now?"
"of course"
"good. take me to her" she said, walking out of the room. he walked out behind her, and then led her down a long hallway. he then led her to a large, dark room. in the middle, was Flare, in a small cage. "wait here" she told him. then she walked over to the cage. she looked at Flare, and noticed that she was just waking up.
"....where am i...?" Flare asked, looking around. she then saw the eyes of the dragoness.
"that is not important now" she said.
"well, it's kinda important to me. i like knowing where i am" Flare said.
"you are in my lair, that is all you need to know. now, child, tell me, are you the one they call Flare?"
"that depends. who are you?"
"i am losing my patience, now answer my question"
"yeah. i'm Flare"
"good. then you are the one i seek"
"that doesn't sound too good to me"
"i never said it was good for you. Gloomstealth" she said. he walked over to her. "get the sentinels. i want to have a word with them" she told him.
"yes, my queen" he said. then he left the room.
"the sentinels?" Flare asked. "what are they?"
"they do not concern you. at least, not yet" she replied. then the five sentinels walked in. they bowed in respect to the dragoness.
"your highness, you ask of us?" the middle one said.
"yes. Totem, i want you to take our guest here into another room, and work a little magic on her" she said. Totem nodded.
"as you wish" he said. then he picked up the cage, and walked out of the room. the other sentinels followed him. they entered a small, dark, empty room. Totem took Flare out of the cage, and set the cage down. then he threw Flare agaist the far wall. she got up, and looked at them. then Totem opened his mouth, and hit Flare with a grey cone breath. then in an instant, Flare slowly turned to stone. the sentinels smiled, and left the room. Totem was the last to leave. they then walked up to the dragoness.
"is the job done?" she asked. Toten nodded.
"she is stone cold" he chuckled.
"good. your work here is done" she said. then the sentinels left her alone.

Gloomstealth was gaurding the prisoners in the dungeoun. he paced up and down the hallway, occasionally looking in through the windows of cells. he then stopped in front of one cell when he heard movement inside. he looked through the window, and saw that Artica had finally woke up. she didn't move much because of the posion, but she did move her tail occasionally, and often groaned because of the pain. then a hissing sound could be heard coming from the hallway. Gloomstealth turned his head to the right, to see the snake slither up to him.
"the queen wishes to see her" he hissed. Gloomstealth nodded. he opened the cell door, and walked inside. he then grabbed Artica, and put chains on her. he then tugged on the handle of the chain, as he walked out of the cell. Artica slowly stepped towards him. he could barely held her head up, and dragged her feet along the floor. her tail drooped down, the tip of it dragging along on the ground. Gloomstealth took her down the hallway, with the snake slithering behind them. Gloomstealth led them to a large, dark room. he chained Artica to an iorn bar in the middle of the room. then walked off into the darkness. the snake slithered over to Artica. he then looked around the room. "my queen, we have brought you the child" he said. the black dragoness stepped out of the darkness, and approached Artica and the snake.
"very good, Syther. leave us please" she said. then the snake slithered away. Artica was laying on the ground, she could hardly move. she lifted her head, just enough to see the dragoness. the dragoness looked down at her. "i know you are weak, Artica. i am sorry that the poison does not work any faster. i truly am. because of that, you will have to die a slow, painful death, instead of a quick one. of course, i can not have you tricking anyone into freeing you. that is just unacceptable. if you had only behaved yourself, you wouldn't be dying right now. no matter, it is, after all, less work for me. now, you may be wondering why i have brought you here" she said. Artica looked up at her.
"don't......care......" she said, weakly.
"what?" the dragoness asked, a bit surprised.
"...don't........care..........can't........die......"
"oh, you will die, you can not fight your fate. after all, your friends could not fight thiers"
"what........? you.......monster.........where........are they........?" Artica asked her. the dragoness chuckled.
"well, one is stone cold, and the other.....may never wake up again" she grinned evily. Artica snarled.
"monster.......!" she growled. then she raised her head as high as she could, and shot ice shards at her. the dragoness used shadow to dodge the attacks. she laughed.
"foolish child. you can not harm me. not in the state you are in. you are dying, and i am at full strenght. not even a full grown dragon can harm me"
"heal me..........and i............will show you...........what i.............can do.........." Artica snarled. the dragoness chuckled.
"what makes you think i will heal you? your friends are gone, and you are about to join them. you see, child, i can not lose, and you of all dragons do not have the slightest chance of stopping me" she said. Artica growled. she then breathed ice on her chains. they froze in an instant. "what are you doing? you can not break free" the dragoness said.
"i beg........to.........differ......." Artica said. she then tried to break the frozen chains. because she was weak, they were hard to break. she then started hitting the chains with her tail. she hit them again, harder this time. they then broke, and she was free.
"that is not possible" the dragoness said, surprised. Artica got up, and glared at her.
"it is.......i just...........proved...........it......." she said. she tried to stand strong, but she was weak. she could barely hold her head up. the dragoness chuckled.
"you are still too weak to harm me" she said. Artica then laughed. then she glared at the dragoness with her eyes glowing ice blue. "what is this?" the dragoness asked, surprised. she had never seen anything like this.
"i............don't..............know............but we..........are about................to find.............out" Artica said. then Artica's whole body glowed. Gloomstealth and Syther looked worried. then they both began to glow as well. the dragoness backed away slowly, unsure of what was going on. then Gloomstealth and Syther began to walk towards her, looking furious.
"no! stop! that is an order!" the dragoness told them, but they didn't listen. they then jumped over Artica, and tackled the dragoness, and began attacking her viciously. while they fought, Artica still glowed, and began to feel stronger. she then started to back away from them, heading for the exit. the others still foguht, unaware of what was happening. as Artica continued to glow, she continued to feel stronger. she then left the room, not knowing herself exactly what had happened.

F: mine! *hits me with electricity, and sends me flying into a wall. the key flys out of my hand, and lands near the cage. she grabs it, and gets out*

F: *jumps on me, and starts clawing me*

me: *tackles F* get off of her!

F: grrr! *runs after everyone* give her to me!

me: we are being chased by fire and frost...

F: because.........*stops* i actually have no idea......

on the other side of the portal, Inferno found himself in a strange place. he was now in a deep green world, with lime green mist all around. he stood on a platform. he could a much larger platform not far from his, but no trail leading to it. the large platform had lucious green grass, tall leafy trees, big bushes, and other plants. many snakes, scorpions, spiders, and frogs were on the platform, as if it was their home. since there was no trail here, he jumped off the small platform, spread his wings, and glided down to the larger platform. he would have flew if he knew how. when he landed on the platform, snakes hissed, scorpions snapped their pinchers together, and appeared to be angry. the frogs only ribbeted as they hopped away. the spiders just spun webs in the treetops. Inferno walked about the platform, wondering what to do now.
"well?" he asked, looking around. "i came throught the portal, what now?" he asked, waiting for the voice to answer him. then a big, bright red frog hopped in front of him.
"who are you talking to?" he asked. Inferno looked down at the frog.
"uh, i'm not exactly sure. i just heard a voice, and it told me to come here" he replied.
"i see. figures. she does this sometimes" the frog croaked.
"she? who is she? is she the one who led me here?" Inferno asked, curiously.
"yep. she's the queen. our queen. you don't belong here. you'll be in trouble if you stay"
"wait. this queen, is she a big, black dragoness, with lime green markings, eyes, and a wierd tail by any chance?"
"yep. that's her. she must not see you as a big threat if you're here"
"well, where is here exactly? why shouldn't i be here?"
"hmph. for a kid, you certainly do ask a lot of questions. this is the Emerald Depths" the frog croaked.
"the Emerald Depths? what kind of place is this exactly?"
"it's a realm, one of which only my queen can send you to. only certain creatures can manage to survive here, and leave"
"what kind of creatures? how can i get out?"
"you can't, not if she sent you here. the only way is through her, and the only way is if either she wants you out, or if you have a certain ability, which i'm not saying"
"what kind of ability?" he asked. the frog sighed.
"i already told you that i'm not telling you that!" he croaked.
"it is the element of poison" a light green snake hissed, slithering up to them.
"we're not supposed to say that, Slytherin!" the frog croaked.
"oh, relax, Sol, he can't leave. he couldn't possibly have the poison element" the snake hissed.
"how do you know for sure?"
"just look at him, Solomon, he's red like you. poison is green like me, he can't get out"
"actually, the snake is right. i'm a fire dragon. which means i'll need your help to escape"
"ok, first of all, my name is Slytherin, and second of all, we have strict orders from the queen not to help anyone escape" the snake hissed.
"in fact, we're suppose to attack them" Solomon added.
"then you're already breaking the rules, so just help me. listen, your queen has two of my friends trapped at her lair, and they need my help. just help me get out, and i'll do the rest. i won't even mention you guys helped me"
"nope. don't like it. we'll get in big trouble with our queen" the frog croaked.
"yeah, and i don't even like you, or know you. so, count me out" the snake hissed.
"fine. i'll get myself out. maybe i'll ask some of your friends for help"
"they won't help you" said Sol.
"yeah, they're told to attack creatures like you" Slytherin added.
"then help me escape" he said. they were both quiet. "i can't believe creatures like you would listen to someone like her. i know a pack of wolves that suffered from taking orders of creatures like your queen. you'll suffer the same fate if you don't help me" he said. Solomon and Slytherin looked at each other.
"fine. we'll help, but we won't like it" the snake hissed.
"yeah, we'll help you, but you have to keep quiet about it, or we're in trouble" the frog croaked.
"great. now, first off, tell me more about your queen"

Artica had escaped the dragoness's lair. she had her full strenght back, and was flying back home.
:meanwhile:
Gloomstealth and Syther had stopped glowing, and attacking their queen.
"we are extreamly sorry, my queen, it will not happen again" Gloomstealth said, practically begging for forgiveness. she glared at both of them.
"oh, i am sure of that, Gloomstealth. not only did you disobey me, but you helped the enemy, and attacked me! that is not to be forgiven"
"but we were in a trance" Syther hissed.
"excuses, excuses. i expect loyalty from my servents, and you two have betrayed me"
"but we promise it won't happen again!" Gloomstealth shouted out.
"stop shouting, Gloomstealth. it will not be necessary, nor will it help you. besides, you sound like a pathetic fool when you beg for your puny life"
"then kill him, and spare me, my queen. i do not gravel"
"no, Syther, but you can not always be trusted. too many times have i let you live on account of your actions"
"but i beg you, my queen! please! let us live!" Gloomstealth begged.
"silence! you will not be spared. i have no further use for such servents. Totem!" she called. then the sentinel walked in with the others following him.
"yes, my queen?" he asked.
"get these incompetent creatures out of my sight at once. i do not want to see them here again. get rid of them" she demanded.
"yes, my queen" he said. then two of the sentinels grabbed Gloomstealth, and took him outside, while another grabbed Syther. Totem led them outside the mountain. outside, there were dead trees, dark clouds, a fog, snakes, scorpions, and spiders were everywhere, and the ground was bare except for hundereds of statues. each statue was diffrent, and they were of diffrent creatures. many were dragons, each in a diffrent position. many appeared to be in a fighting stance, while others appeared frightened. the sentinels carried Gloomstealth and Syther out there, and held them in place. then Totem hit them with his grey cone breath, turning them both to stone. they then smiled, and walked back inside. meanwhile, the black dragoness had walked into the small room, where she had Flare still as a statue. she looked at it for a moment, and then stepped up to the statue. she then breathed a white mist into it's face. then slowly, Flare started to turn back to normal. she looked up at the dragoness, who grinned evily.
"what do you want?" Flare snarled.
"you. i may have a little job for you" she said.

"you want us to tell you about the queen? uh huh, no way. we're already breaking rules, we don't need to break more"
"oh, just tell him, Sol. it's not like we're already in deep trouble if she catches us. we mine as well break all the rules"
"but it's forbiddon, Slytherin!"
"well, that's why it's called "breaking the rules" Sol!"
"are you two going to fight, or tell me about the queen?" Inferno asked them.
"we'll tell you. well, he will, he knows more than i do" the snake hissed.
"no i don't, you just want me to tell him everything, and get in more trouble!"
"that may be true, but that doesn't really matter. just as long as you tell him everything"
"you're lucky that i can't hurt you, Slytherin" the frog croaked.
"ok, enough fighting. now, someone tell me about the queen" Inferno said.
"well, technically, she isn't a queen, we just work for her and call her that" Solomon coraked. "her real name is Anyanca"
"ok, great, i know her name. now, tell me more"
"she is a master of poison, and that isn't hard to figure out" Slytherin hissed.
"yeah. she does look like a poison dragon. but is that her only element?" Inferno asked.
"no, it's not, but no one is really sure of what all her powers are. not even us" Sol croaked.
"ok. what is her plan? what will she do to my friends?"
"we don't know. she doesn't tell us that. she only gives us orders" Solomon said.
"so how do i save them?"
"well, it isn't by asking us a lot of questions" Slytherin hissed.
"i know that, genious" Inferno said.
"you'll have to find out how to save them yourself. we'll help you get back there, but that's it. if she catches ouside this realm without permisson, we're as good as dead" Sol croaked.
"alright. then help me get out, and maybe i can come back for you guys"
"what do you mean?"
"what i mean is, i plan on saving you guys from her" he said.
"alright. we'll get you out, you save your friends, and when it's all over, come back for us" Sol croaked.
"ok. now get me out of here" Inferno said.

Aritca soon arrived at the temple, and had found it in a terrible state. smoke filled the air all around the temple, yet the fire had all gone out. most of the temple walls had been burned, and were now jet black. some walls had crumbled to the ground, while most of it still stood there, burned, and in dire need of repair. Artica walked throughout the temple, in search of something. she walked into a small room, which had mostly been burned down. the only thing that was in the room, and the only thing that remained in the temple, was a large boulder. Artica walked over to the boulder, which sat in the middle of the room.
"it's gone......everything's gone........inculding the vision pool....this boulder fell on top of it......" she said. she then heard foot steps, and through the smoke, she saw the shape of a young dragon. the dragon walked toward her. as it neared her, she could she it was a young male. his scales were golden-yellow, and his eyes were yellow. he appeared nice, but Artica didn't trust him. "who are you? what are you doing here?" she asked.
"i'm sorry to bother you. i came to help" he said in a caring voice.
"well, you're a little late for that"
"not nessecerily. i can help rebuild this place, and help those who lived here"
"and where were you earlier when this place was under attack?"
"i was at home, with my family. my parents said that i wasn't allowed to help then"
"hmph. some family. they don't help those in need"
"it's not like that at all. we help everyone"
"i find that hard to believe"
"it's true. i can prove it"
"no thanks. i don't need your help......um..."
"oh, pardon my manners, my name is--"
"Goldheart!" a male voice called.
"i'm over here, Dad. i found a civilian" he replied. then a large, male, gold dragon walked through the smoke, and stepped up beside the young dragon.
"ah, a young ice dragon" he said.
"hey! i'm more than just an ice dragon!" Artica snarled.
"indeed. Goldheart, have you found any traces of anything other than our young friend here?"
"no, Dad. there's nothing left here. they burned everything"
"i figured as much. they came for they were seeking, and burned everything else. you were lucky to escape" he said to Artica.
"lucky? lucky?! are you freaking kidding me? i barely escaped with my life as it is! that dragon still has my sister, and who knows who else is still trapped there! now, if you two lazy dragons won't help me, then get out of my way!"
"hey, calm down. i said we're here to help. just take it easy" Goldheart said.
"yes. panicking is not going to help us at all"
"oh, thanks. that will help free my sister from that place. what good are you guys anyway? you say you help people, but so far, all you've done is tell me to relax!"
"Dad, i think we need to do something, and fast"
"i believe you're right" his father said. then he grabbed hold of both of them, and teleported them away from the temple.

Flare was chained to a wall by Totem and the other sentinels in a small, dark room. there bookcases and shelves with potions on them. there was a black cauldron by a large wooden table near the far wall, and in the middle of the room was a small pool with some strange black liguid. the black dragoness stood by the cauldron, stirring the ingridents inside until the cauldron bubbled. she then looked at an open book on the table, surrounded by ingridents, and empty viles. then there was a knock at the door. Totem opened the door. standing there was a tall ape, wearing long, black robes, and carrying a black staff. he didn't appear to be as strong as other apes, or as good of a fighter. the ape walked inside, and walked over to the black dragoness. Totem closed the door, walked over towards Flare, and sat down.
"you send for me, your grace?" the ape asked, sounding rather wise.
"indeed. Styx, i want you to perform the ritual. i believe i have everything ready" she said. Styx looked at Flare, and then looked at the dragoness.
"ah, the ritual. i will get to work" he said.
"good" she replied. then she stepped out of the way, and Styx began grabbing various ingridents, and threw them into the cauldron. he stirred the ingridents until black smoke came up out of the cauldron. he then looked at the table.
"i believe you are missing some ingridents that i need" he said.
"what is it you are missing?" Anyanca asked.
"i need the snake's skin, scorpion tails, lizard eyes, toadstool, and either snake venom or spider venom" he said.
"of course. Totem, if you would be so kind as to gather these ingridents for us, that would be wonderful" she said.
"anything for you, my queen" Totem said. then he and the other sentinels left the room. Anyanca looked at Styx.
"the ingridents should arrive shortly. do what you can while we wait" she said.
"i can't do much without those ingridents"
"then just wait patiently" she said. then she walked over to Flare. "we will soon finish the ritual, and then you can do a little job for me"
"i'll never work for you!" Flare growled.
"we will see how you feel when the ritual is complete"
