Raven grinned and a small odd giggle came out of her, "Imagine that," she let her arm fall away from her face, "Imagine what it would feel like to just fall down there." Her eyes were wide as she stared blankly at the ceiling and imagined the feeling. Another small sound, close to a giggle came out of her before she sighed and closed her eyes again.

Derek shook his head, "This is crazy, I see absolutely no point in all of this. People are dying, losing loved ones, their belongings, it's not right." He glared down at the floor. He had never like the thought of senseless fighting or anything like it. Derek looked over at Raven with a frown as she giggled and spoke of falling as if it would be fun. "Don't say things like that. It's kinda creepy."

"Look, I don't think it's a good reason but obvious someone has some reason for trying to burn the whole city." Meredith states, standing up and twisting the three rings on her staff. She looks towards the rest of the group. "We can either sit here and wait for whatever to happen, or we can go out there and give them hell for messing with our Magisters. And like hell I'm going to just wait. Who's going with me?"

Myra stands up, putting herself between the door and her classmate. "Meredith, no. That's crazy. We need to stay here."
"Why? So that we can die without putting up a fight?"
"That's not true and you know it Meredith."
Nazeem turns his head towards Meredith and Meredith in turn. However, if he has an opinion in this matter he is keeping it to himself.

Raven groans as she sits up, "Can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with you. I'll go." She stands and rolls her shoulders before cracking her knuckles. "I know I'm not the best but I'll give 'em hell with you." She grinned.

Derek jumped up, "No, no one needs to go anywhere!" He moves to stand beside Myra, "That's an insane thought. I know we are all upset about this but we need to wait for Professor Walker to get back." He crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the girls, "I'm serious. No."

With a little snort at Derek Meredith rolls her eyes before making her next comment. "They aren't pulling their punches Derek. "If we don't do something we are all as good as dead!" She motions her hand violently behind him. "Someone out there is going to come here at some point. Might as well go introduce ourselves."

At this point Nazeem stands up to stand next to Myra as she fumbles for her next sentence. His head turns between both Meredith and Raven before settling on Meredith. "Safe here, is it not? Wait for Professor Walker. For Felix. Decisions are made as a family." Coming from him his voice seems almost soothing through the distortion it always has.

Raven crossed her arms over her chest as well, "If we find them first then we won't be caught off guard and we will at least stand a better chance than if we were just sitting here on our butts and they burst through that door." She understood what Nazeem was saying but how long would it take for Felix to wake up and for Walker to get back? "What if we don't have time to wait on them?" She asked Nazeem?

Derek rubbed his temples, "Nazeem is right, we are a family now. Or does that mean nothing to you guys? We have to take care of each other and running out there into the middle of all that is reckless and dangerous, not to mention stupid." He sighed, "Just wait please."

Meredith turned her eyes sharply towards Nazeem, to Myra, to Derek, and finally back to Nazeem. She clicks her tongue before speaking almost with venom in her voice. "Of course, because the elemental just wants to wait for orders."

For a moment the flames that make up Nazeem seem to jump in agitation and his black eyes almost seem to narrow. However, as fast that it appears it disappears leaving you to wonder if it were even there. His voice comes out in the same even tone, but it seems more strained. "Tactically speaking, groups survive more often then those alone. Let us not wait for them to come. Let us be ready. Rally up the other students and make ourselves a solid defense." He turned his head to Myra. "Are you okay with this?"
Myra nodded slowly, staring at Meredith but not saying anything about the comment she had made.

Raven looked over at Meredith then shook her head, "Yes, more people would be helpful but who is going to help the C-3 class? If you want to stay and rally people then do so but I want to go now and do what I can." She looked back at the other people around, "I don't don't want to be responsible for other people dying while they are with me anyway."

Derek was growing irritated that they were being so stubborn, "Just wait. I'm sure Walker will be back soon and if everyone else helps out then we stand an even better chance of beating the enemy." He pointed at the door behind him, "You will die on your own out there. Do you really want to die?"

"No one's dying while I'm in charge of this god forsaken class." Walker's voice comes from behind Raven and Meredith. She stands there, her arms cross and her eye almost twitching. "I leave my class for five minutes and you're trying to start a rebellion against who knows what? I'd be proud if I wasn't your teacher. And because I am your teacher I'm mad as hell."

Raven stiffened and slowly turned her head, to look at Professor Walker, "You came back a little sooner than I expected." She rubbed the back of her neck and looked down at the floor, "We need to do something though."

Derek sighed, glad that Walker was back. He knew the girls wouldn't run off on their adventure with Walker back, especially when the professor looked as angry as she did now. Hell, he was scared of her and he hadn't even done anything wrong.

"No," Professor Walker started, shaking her head. "Not yet. Look, I understand. You NEED to do something. But right now that's just going to get you killed." Her tone went from angry to grim in that sentence. You'd think that she wants to be out there or doing something. She lets out a long, drawn out sigh before starting again. "Wait a few more minutes for us teachers to figure somethings out. Then we'll talk about what our family needs to do. Alright?"

You can see Meredith practically fuming. Nazeem gives a small thumbs up as Myra says a quiet 'alright'.

Raven nodded. She was disappointed but she couldn't go against Walker. She walked over to Felix and sat down beside him. "You better wake up soon, things are going to get interesting," she said to him as she poked his arm gently.

"Okay," Derek agreed. The teachers would know what to do, they would have a better idea then just running out there in anger and getting themselves killed. Atleast, he hoped that they would. He watched Raven walk over to Felix and he sighed as he looked at the boy, he desperately hoped that everything would end well for his family and all the others.

Minutes pass, and the minutes slowly roll into an hour. An hour rolls slowly into two. Walker had left your class alone several times during this, but stayed close enough that her eye was always on you. At some point an actual school Witch came over to give Felix a once over. The only thing she said the kid needed was time. And that was something you seemed to have painful amount of.
But soon Professor Walker stood in the center of the entrance hall, crossing her arms in a powerful stance before bellowing out in a powerful voice. "ATTENTION STUDENTS AND FACULTY!" The entire hall was reduced to little more than a whisper. She cleared her throat before continuing at a slightly lower volume. "Alright, listen up. It's bad out there. Real bad. But myself and several other professors have got a plan."
She motioned her artificial arm towards a man with shaggy red hair and round glasses. He wears a long, tattered coat where he buries his hands into his pocket. He starts off quietly in a gruff voice before clearing his voice and beginning again.
"Hello, can everyone hear me? I'm Professor Auburn, Academy expert on Necromancy. I know a lot of things about corpses... and I'll go on a lark and say that becoming one isn't a priority right now."
You can hear Walker grumble out some complaint towards him and him raising his arms in mock defense. "Right, right. No one is going to die, etc, etc. Now then, what I can tell you is that the Academy is being targeted specifically. Who knows why, but that's not important. What is important is what we're going to do with that information." He says, his eyes flashing almost dangerously.

Raven had spent her time beside Felix, watching him some but mainly because he wouldn't be one to start a conversation, but as Walker spoke up and introduced another professor she stood and moved closer to the others. "It's about time. I'm tired of waiting," she grumbled as she stretched a little bit.

Derek nodded in response to Raven's comment, he was ready to do something. Sitting and waiting and knowing what was outside and not knowing when it was going to reach you was a little stressful.

Murmurs fill the room and Walker raises her hand into the air to silence it. Auburn's face pulls into a grin as he starts speaking again. "If the Academy is the target of the attack then our invaders will be here any moment. We'll use that to our advantage. The entrance hall is only so big, but we can work with what we have. Funnel them in and deal with them as the come. Keep some people on look out so that we can be prepared." He states motioning his hands to the door as if to show the preparations that are not yet in place.
"Now then, I understand that you are students and not soldiers. But you are Magisters in training. If you aren't ready for what's next I suggest that you hide somewhere deeper with the school at this time..." And he motions down the hall towards the other doorway. His face becoming obscured by the mess that is his hair. "Or, if you're ready to take a giant step into the world you've been training for... Get ready for your first official assignment: Protect the hall. Now then...Any questions?"

Raven grins, "No way am I running away. What about you guys?" Her hands were in fists now. She was ready. Let them come. We'll send them running back to where they came from.

Derek looked around the hall, this could work. They could win. He didn't know how many people were going to come through that door or how bad it was going to be but he was going to fight, "No way am I backing down." He stated as he looked over at Raven. He knew he definately wasn't the best with magic but he was going to give it his all.

Myra hesitates. Everyone can see her immediate unease about the situation. She talks with Nazeem for several minutes before actually making up her mind. He offered to stay with her no matter what she choose. She choose to stay.
Meredith sticks around for sure. She doesn't even hesitate about it, grouping up with the other Modifiers to help better secure the fortifications being made.
Students are gathered into groups. Witches to serve as healers, Elementalists and Modifiers for structure and for damage. And after an agonizingly slow passage of time you stand with your current forces so to speak. And then time slows.
Each second drags on in an agonizing wait for what is to come. And finally it does. A kid on lookout crying out into the hall and people scurrying to ready spells against an unknown enemy. A swirl of mutters and murmurs in an otherwise silent room. And then the doors crash open, letting in a heavy cloud of smoke and ash from the outside. For a moment all is silent save for the sharp intake of those inside. And then a simple tune echos through the hall.
A small hum and slow foot steps as a willowy figure enters the room. As the smoke clears there stands a girl, her limbs overly long, her smile overly exaggerated. A pointed nose below eyes hidden by carefully curled hair. She wore a red dress resembling a lady bug, with a parasol open over her shoulder to match. This figure paced a few feet inside the door, spinning her parasol before stopping with a small giggle. And in an eerily calm, sweet voice it speaks. "Well, I see you've made your home ready for guests. My name is Priscilla."
And she snaps her fingers. The walls behind her crumble as a masses of vines and tree trunks flood through the windows and the door behind her. Spilling around her as they wash in towards the screaming masses within the hall.
"Nice to meet you."

When the doors opened Raven was shocked at what came through, she had expected multiple people if not an army. Not just one girl humming as she went along. She couldn't help but feel intimidated though, did one person really cause all this damage? Raven prepared herself, she wasn't quite sure of what to do now though, this wasn't what she had expected at all. Raven gasped as the walls gave way behind the girl, "Create. Fire. Vines!" she said quickly in hopes of accomplishing something and not getting caught or hit.

Derek stared at the odd girl who came through the door humming and twirling her parasol. She looked much to cheerful for the state that everyone and thing was in. "Is she really the only one?" he whispered. He looked around, could there be more about to attack from somewhere? The walls crumbled behind the girl and he backed up farther as vines and tree came through where the wall had been , "Oh ****!"

As Raven casts her spell the vines in front of her ignite. The vines spewing past her are now one fire.
The once stagnant magic in the room turns in a flood of incantations and flying spells. All sound in the room is drowned out by shouting and the clashing of magics. You are aware that sometime during the chaos that Auburn begins shouting what you think are orders. Their exact meaning in lost in the conflict.
The girl who seemed to be the cause of it all points her parasol into the room and lets loose an incantation. A kind of miasma fills the room and before you can register the entirety of the situation it has swallowed you in it's mists. Once you breathe it in you feel dizzy. Dizzy turns into tired, tired into exhaustion. You collapse and darkness takes you.

Derek and Raven awake to find themselves lying in a dark, quiet room. Somewhere outside they can here the sounds of rumbles and shouting in the distance. They can smell smoke. They are covered in debris, though not enough to entirely hinder their movements. They are lightly to moderately injured. What little light streams through holes in the ceiling allows them to perceive that they are in the wreckage of the entrance hall. Beyond that, they will require more light to see.

I look like this: 6 feet tall, muscular but scrawny build, pitch black spiked hair with one white lock hanging over his brow, clean shaven, outfit: similar to Goku's gear but instead of orange its a blackish purple and instead of blue its blood red and the wrist bands a longer reaching just below the elbow and the shoes are designed to look like dragon feet.
This is how I got here: Wandering the wilderness he found his calling to magic and wishes to become a master of it.
Here’s some stuff you should know about me: dark, mysterious, nocturnal(both figuratively and literally), Athletic when it comes to training physically mentally and with his elements, slightly above average intelligence, kind and caring in spite of the tough serious exterior, solitary.

OOC: Sorry for taking so long to get to you. It would be fun to have another person in the game. However, we are probably going to be moving pretty slowly due to some IRL stuff. (Ash is away for the week and I'm little busy with school at the moment). However, if that is okay with you then welcome aboard this train wreck of a RP.

You should go to about post #68 and kinda skim from that. That explains some of the chaos going on. Up from about a few posts ago it talks about the stand in the entrance hall of the academy and the events that took place there. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

@Draco: As Draco wakes up they find them self in the dark, still, silence of what was left of the entrance hall. They can smell smoke. They were making their way to the academy when the attacks began. By fate or luck a group of teachers ushered you in to the entrance hall where eventually a plan was made to stand ground there.

Ooc: Okay, that puts you in the same room as Derek and Raven. And in mostly the same conditions. You'll still need to do introductions, but still being in the same place is a good start.

Draco looked around confused he saw Derek and Raven and went up to them.

OOC: Glad to have someone else. I am however still away but was able to get on for a moment so I thought I'd throw in a post.

Raven groaned and brushed some debris from her as she stood, "Well that was brilliant." She looked around at the mess, she couldn't see much from the lack of light other than that from the holes in the ceiling but she did notice Derek slowly standing and brushing himself off as well not a few feet away. She made her way to him, "Derek, are you okay?" He looked up at her and smiled, "Nothing major." She grinned back at him, "That's good." He grabbed her shoulders and looked her over. "Hey now, don't get all touchy. I'm fine," she pushed his hands away, "Have you seen anyone else?" He shook his head, "Not yet but-." He turned to the sound of someone walking up, "Hello? Are you okay?"

Draco nodded saying "yea i'm ok just shaken up. name's Draco. Were are we?"

Derek looked Draco over, " I'm Derek and this is Raven. I believe we are still in what's left of the entrance hall. " Raven nodded as she looked around and wandered off a little ways as she looked for the familiar faces of their family. "Be careful," Derek called out to her before turning his attention back to Draco, "What class are you in?"

Draco shrugged saying "don't know just got here same as you."

Derek narrowed his eyes slightly, "Hmm, alright." He looked back for Raven and found her a little ways off now, "I suppose you can come with us unless you have someone else to look for."

Raven carefully walked around looking for her family, she had never liked the "family" idea but now that everything was falling apart she felt very close to everyone and wanted if not needed to find everyone and make sure they were okay.

Draco shook his head saying "nope just me. If their was someone else with me then the left my company long before i got here."

Derek nodded, "Alright then, come along." He followed after Raven.

Raven managed to find a piece of wood and she focused on it, make. Fire. Stick. She spoke the magic words. A little more light in this place would be very helpful if she could manage it. She only hoped to light just the top of it and not light the entire piece on fire.

Draco heard her speak the magic words and knew she was like him. A beginner elementalist. He put his hand over hers and said "your to nervous. Keep it up and you'll light the whole thing a blaze. Let me help."

Raven has no problem creating a small flame at the tip of the stick. It is burning a little fast and you will soon need another, but it does a bit shed light on the room.
The room is flooded with no longer moving vines and branches, each huge in size. The chaos that transpired is obvious. There are broken and scattered crystals laying about the floor. There are left over, broken, circles from several rituals. Without actually searching through the debris you cannot see any other people, neither teachers or students, in the entrance hall. It looks like it will be impossible to leave the room through the front door. However, you could likely squeeze through what is left of the hall further in. Alternatively, it appears as if you could crawl through one of the windows on the west side of the room.

"Holy ****," Raven breathed as she looked around. She couldn't see anyone else at all as she held the torch up and as she walked along she noticed that there was no way to get through the front door. "Hello?" She called out, hoping someone would reply.

Derek looked around the hall with wide eyes, he couldn't even form words at the moment as he looked at the disaster around them. He walked up beside Raven and Draco, "We should look for a way out, let's look further in." He gave her a nudge and was glad that she obeyed him. "There's a window over there," he pointed out and took her hand, not giving her the chance to pull her hand away before he tugged her along beside him.

Draco fallowed wanting to keep up.

There is no answer to Raven's call. It just echos around the room until the heavy silence sets back in.

As Derek approaches the window it becomes apparent that the activity outside has drastically calmed down. While there is still the occasional flash of magic in the distance towards the city, it is not the fury of magic that it was earlier. The smoke is black. There are still parts of the city burning.
The window itself looks pretty bad. The glass has shattered, but the frame is still in the way. It doesn't appear to be locked but it may take a bit of effort to open it.
The window leads out to a side of the courtyard, beside the ruined door to the entrance hall.

"Well, it sort of looks better than it did earlier," Derek sighed as he looked through the window, "We'll need to move this frame out of the way if we want to fit through here." He grabbed the frame at the bottom and pushed hard to lift it up.

Raven stood back with the light, she knew that her stick wouldn't last much longer. "Were you with anyone before you came here?" Raven asked Draco, "We had others with us. Classmates. Our family," she paused for a moment, "Once we find them again everything will be a little better." She smiled at Draco.

Draco frowned saying "i don't have anyone. No family no friends just me growing up in a forest always on the move. So really i came here alone."

The area outside the courtyard does not appear to have anyone in it. If anything it sounds a little too quiet. It is night outside now. The moon is lighting up outside fairly well, but it still isn't the clearest of vision.

Derek poked his head outside and looked around, "I don't see anyone around, let's go before someone shows up who we don't want to meet." He climbed out of the window and looked up at the moon in the sky and thought about the time when they had first ran into the hall to hide from all the fighting outside. How long has it been since then? How long had they been out?

Raven frowned slightly, "That sucks. I never really had friends before I was put in the C-3 class and I didn't really see my parents much since they were always out with work and stuff." Her torch was at its end and she tossed it down before she burnt her hand, "Being alone isn't all that bad though I guess if you don't get lonely." She turned her head at the sound of Derek's voice for a moment before looking back to Draco, "Well, for now you've got us." She followed Derek out the window.

Enjoying the wormth of fire he grabed the torch with his bare hand unfazed by any burning and fallowed them out the window. Seeing it was night time he smiled enjoying the darkness of night.

When Draco picks up the smoldering end of the Torch it burns his hand. Turns out that humans aren't very fire proof.
Nothing jumps or attempts to mug the group of students as they leave the entrance hall.

He hardly feels the burn as he walks along enjoying darkness wondering what to do now.

ooc: Shade, that's a burn. You are only human. That's going to hurt. A lot. This is your gm reminding you that every player in this is a human.

Ooc: i know but he's used to burns considering that was the first element he used and knows how to use and burns himself a lot (on accident or other wise) and some humans can be very pain tolerent.

Ooc: Okay, just fair warning when the damage from it comes into play. He probably wouldn't be able to do it for too long though, otherwise the burn would get bad. Does that make sense? Carry on, I'll post up whats going down as it goes down. Lets return to the rp.

Ooc: ok

OOC: I guess I'm up then.

"Don't go picking up burning things," Raven said with a scowl, "I love fire as much as any other pyro but right now we don't need to have any unnecessary harm done to ourselves. There's too much danger around us to be making simple mistakes." She walked over to Draco and took his hand in hers and looked it over, "I can't heal you and neither can Derek, so please be careful from now on."

Derek sighed and ran his fingers through his hair with a small shake of his head, "Well," he looked around, "Where should we go from here? We probably shouldn't be out in the open for too long. It's kind of creepy how still it is right now."

Draco nodded to her and said to Derek "creepy? I love the dark. The calm is relaxing to me. But you're right we shouldn't be out in the open."

Derek nodded, "Yeah the calm and dark is fine and all when you aren't in the middle of a huge fight like this," He grabbed Ravens hand firmly in his and started making his way to where the door to the entrance hall had been, making sure to stay in the shadows any case any one was lurking around. "Besides, don't you think it's maybe a little too quiet?"

Raven huffed as Derek grabbed her hand and pulled her along with him as he walked, "I'm getting tired of you dragging me around Derek." She looked up at him but he was ignoring her as he still spoke to Draco. "I can follow you just fine without you having to hold my hand. I'm not a little kid," she mumbled.

Draco nodded as he moved in the shadows feeling well in his element "true i can't even hear the crickets cherp. Which is really unnerving. By the way Derek, Raven's right, she isn't a little kid so unless you two are dating you can let go of her hand now."

Up the side of the building is now a large tree. Most of it's roots and branches are either attached to the building or through the door and the windows on that side. There are several places where the walls have collapsed from the extra weight. There are also lifeless wooden humanoid figures scattered in the general direction of the bridge into the city. Upon closer inspection they resemble dolls. These do not move, they only stand in the darkness.

Derek turned around to Raven, "I know you aren't a little kid, I'm just trying to keep you close. I don't want to lose you too." He shot Draco a slightly aggravated look before releasing her hand. Maybe he liked holding her hand. He turned his attention back to the front of the building. His eyes roamed over the tree that he noticed had grown through the building before he walked forward and noticed what looked to be wooden people ahead towards the bridge to the city.

Raven blushed deeply and shook her head, "We aren't together. He's just someone in my class." After her hand was released she crossed her arms over her chest and looked down at the ground as she moved forward with Derek. "What are those?" she asked quietly as she looked around Derek at the wooden figures.
