"When do you think they'll stop attacking us?" Frost asked.

Spiral looked at Kihei. "What are you talking about? What's wrong?"

"I don't know honey" Makil said as he hugged Frost

"What I'm saying is Isis looks up to you, she wants you to be happy" Kihei said

Spiral flicked his tail. "Um, alright." He didn't quite know what to say to that. The little dragon was always curious, but...

"So, what are we supposed to do?" Starri complained. "We are supposed to stop the dragons from fighting, but we don't know what to do, we have barely any fighting skills, and our hut and scrolls were destroyed by some evil fire dragon." She huffed, breathing out a small cloud of ice. "Plus, I'm a wyvern who can't fly and was born with only one element!"

((Starri doesn't know about her star powers yet)

After a tentative look around, Spiral straightened. "Um, well, that dragon has proved that we're no longer safe here. We have to get moving to find a new home."
Shadmé blinked sympathetically at Starri. "We were all chosen for a reason. You're special, Starri, and even if power's not your strength, your optimistic attitude is one to be admired."

"Yeah!" Starri brightened up. "That dragon must have had grumpiness as an elemental breath!" she joked.

"Where will we go? I'm not even sure if there's another safe area" Kihei said to Spiral "Starri, Shadmé's right, you're special in your own way"

Makil pondered where the group would go "Looks like our only chance would be to seek refuge in one of the Elemental Camps" He said

Shadmé grinned. That's the spirit! "For sure!" she chuckled.

"But Elemental Camps are bad for two reasons, One: We will have to split up. Two: We are close to enemy base!" I said, scared.

"I know, but do we really have a choice? Besides, I'm sure at least one Camp would be willing to take all of us, the Ice Camp said they would take me, Isis, Kihei, and Frost whenever we needed a place, I'm sure they'd take all of us!" Makil said as he pulled out a piece of paper promising refuge

"True. And Starri. She is ice." I said.

"Then let's hike to the elemental camp!" Frost said, hiking gear on her.

"Ok Frost, but wait until everyone is ready, ok?" Makil said

"Starri, when we get there, I'm sure they're heal you up" Kihei said

"Okay!" Frost replied.

Spiral's eyes widened as the others made the decision. "I don't think we should...we've been in hiding our whole life. What makes you think that showing ourselves now is a good idea?"

"Just give it a chance Spiral. " I said.

"What if our enemies find us out and capture us?" he persisted. "Dragons are prideful. They will not allow the wars to end unless they're on the winning side. They know we're out to stop this. And we're a neutral force. Therefore, we are their enemies, and it's not safe for us to go there."

Makil looked at Spiral "I know buddy, but there are rules, we are refugees, if someone captures us against our will, everyone else will turn their attention to freeing us, it's suicide for an Elemental Army to kidnap us, and the Ice Dragons never let one of their own suffer, even their friends" He said

"Of course." Starri grinned. "Elemental camps it is?"

"That's naïve," Spiral exhaled. "Didn't you hear me? Each dragon troop wants the war to go their own way. If we barge in and are captured, the rest of the dragons will be fighting amongst themselves so they can capture us and use us as bargaining chips!"

"Spiral, not everyone is bad, it's a fact of life that will help us survive" Makil said

"But not everyone is good, either," Spiral pointed out. "That's why there is a war going on." He spread his talons and looked at them. He didn't want to split from the others- he'd come because they were a team- but he didn't trust it was the most rational decision they could make.

Ura suddenly ran into the surrounding woods.

"Ura, come back!" Shadmé gasped, tearing after the dragon. She thought Ura had been unusually somber the entire time...

Ura looked out of the trees for a moment. she looked up. "They know!" she whispered, darting back into the woods.

"The…wait, who know?" Shadmé continued following Ura. "Please speak! You said someone died earlier! We're a team, Ura, and you can't keep running away and hiding things from us!"

Ura remembered the elder dragon's word when she had told him her secret. Ura ran deeper into the woods. "Shadme..." Ura trailed off.

Shadmé swallowed, wishing Ura would stop trying to get away. Shadmé wasn't going to hurt her or anything, and the black and red dragon knew she was going to run out of breath if this kept up. "Y-yes..?"

Ura stopped. "I can't tell you who," she whispered. "It would only put us in more danger. I can only tell you, they want the scroll."

Shadmé slowed to a trot, then to a halt. "Uh…uh…" she panted, trying to put it together. Why would she be in danger, just from knowing a name? But she was relieved Ura had stopped running, so she went with it. "Okay. Do they have to do with the dragon that burned down our hut?"

"I have said too much already..." Ura said, looking at Shadme.

Shadmé flattened her ears and sighed. "I just…I don't know. It feels like you're hoarding information from us. If we're supposed to help each other, then we really should be working together. But if you don't want to say anything and just watch us, fine." Her tail whisked from side to side as she got up.

"Listen!" Ura said suddenly. "I do not wish to hoard information. I want to help you as much as I can. They want the scroll. It contains a dark spell they need. You can share this information with no one, not even the rest of us."

"I know, but the Ice Cragons have always been good to us, we have nowhere else to go though" Makil said

Kihei looked at Spiral "I know there are bad people out there, but we need to go to whoever can help us" He said "If not for us, do it for Isis, she loves having you around to teach her, she'd miss you horribly if you left" He said

Shadmé raised her head, amber eyes wide. "No way! A dark…" her voice lowered to a whisper as she glanced around, suddenly wary of any shadow. "Why would we have one of those?"

Starri tried to fly after Ura, but her wings were burnt and she couldn't fly. She sighed.

"I'm coming," the dark and light dragon relented. "But don't say I didn't warn you if something bad happens…"

Ura trembled, her eyes glistening with fear. "It was given to the elder dragon, and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't destroy it," she whispered. "Please, promise me you'll tell no one of this? It puts us in danger knowing..."

Shadmé nodded very quickly and earnestly. "I promise." She reached a paw out and placed it over Ura's gently. "Come on, let's get back. Being on our own is dangerous."

Ura drew back. "Shadme, listen to me," she whispered. "He is here."

A black dragon swooped towards the rest of the group. "Where is the scroll?" he asked.

"Ok buddy" Makil said

Kihei looked at Starri "Starri, you shouldn't move in your condition" He said

"No way!" Starri growled. "I may be just a wyvern, but I can still move!"

"What scroll?" Makil asked

"I mean because of your injuries" Kihei said to calm Starri down

Shadmé quickly backpedaled and sidled beside Ura. "My stars..." she whispered inaudibly as the dragon spread over the group, like a shadow.

Spiral looked up as the black dragon arrived, then his pupils dilated. "...What? Who are you?"
Of course, that moment had to be the one that caught Zak's attention. He stormed up to the black dragon. "Yeah, who are ya, huh?"

"Where is the scroll?" the dragon repeated. "Tell me and no one gets hurt. If not well..." the dragon raised a red claw. "I'll let you figure out the rest."

"Shadme, we need to get out of here," Ura whispered.

Shadmé frowned. "And leave everyone else?"

Smoke spewed out of Zak's nostrils. "Did I not make myself clear? I know of no filthy scroll! And your words don't scare me. I could take you, easy." The wyvern dragon's tail lashed while Spiral slumped to the ground, terrified.

The dragon stared Zak down. "Wonder why my claws are red?" he said. "They're stained with the blood of my enemies." with that, the dragon sliced a long cut from Zak's left eye to his chest. "Don't make yourself add too much."

"We can't fight him!" Ura cried. "Please Shadme. He'll kill us all." Ura looked down. "Except for me."

"Sir, we don't know anything about a scroll" Makil said

Kihei put Starri down behind him "I'm sorry, we don't know about that, please don't hurt us" He said as he covered Starri up with his wings

Starri, hearing the dragon, tried to fly over where Ura, Spiral, Shadmé and Zak where. Realizing she couldn't fly, she created an ice block and froze the ground in front of her. She slid over to where the red dragon was.

OoC: Zak wears a skull covering his face. The cut wouldn't be able to get through his face through that. ^.^

"So we run?" Shadmé whispered. Knowing Ura's secrecy, she knew she wouldn't be able to get an answer out of her, in terms of 'He'll kill all but me.' "But we can team up on him! He won't be able to take all of us." Her tail lashed anxiously.
