ooc: Rius and Sashe are both in Banar.

Marrius's raised an eyebrow, "If we don't learn of Nias here the Archivist may know of this place... if it even exists." She said as they made their way to the capital.

"That sounds like a plan." Sashe agreed. She then made her way to the hole,and slid in. This way was more efficient, she slid past daimond structures. When she got to the ground, she was met with a beautiful sight. The buildings of Daim were carved out of massive gemstones. The library was made of amethyst, the restaurants ruby, the Artisan's Shops topaz. Yet, among these, the grandest was the palace. An enrapturing combination of illuminous daimond, colorful opal, and a guartz enchanted to glow. This caused the entire structure to fill with light, being the only, and best lightsource in the capitol. Tref emerged behind her, and gasped.

Shadmé had been following the hawks for a while, watching the way that they floated and flapped and tilted their feathers. If she could practice her mana to give her feathers that amount of definition, she could fly as gracefully as them. Shadmé made a note of that. But then she realized the hawks were gone.
Well, not gone. Their tawny bodies blended in with the world of rock she'd flown into. Banar. The hawks turned around, presumably to head to their nest, and Shadmé waved her thanks. Scanning over the land, she realized Banar was near-destruction, if not completely destroyed. Something had come and laid waste to the once-beautiful country. The Aetian narrowed her eyes. Were there any survivors? She flapped her wings, accelerating, and began tracing the ground for any movement.

Rius emerged last, looking around at the capitol around her. "So this is the capitol of Banar... " She said, brushing her hair out of her face as she paced around the area directly around their entrance. "Well then, like we should make our way to the palace."

"Yes. Let's go." Sashe commanded, walking down the streets in the direction of the palace.

Shadmé had flown over the village numerous times, and it looked hopeless. From every angle, the only obvious thing was that it was gone. Destroyed. Shadmé floated in place as she thought. If there weren't any survivors, the capital would need to be warned of this. And Shadmé wasn't doing anything better today, anyway, so she decided to take a trip to the capital. Flapping her wings, she took off in a direction, flying somewhat low so people could see her. She hoped she was going the right direction.

It didn't take long before Tyra entered the village she'd been looking for. A few of the children playing near the entrance shrank away from her presence. Although a hero to some, she was both respected and feared. She paid the children no mind as she strode through, glancing here and there for a certain tent. Aha! Tyra walked in, making the inhabitants jump at her sudden appearance. The Were raised her hands in a passive way. "Relax. I brought the food." She set the parcel on the ground and backed away, as the family tentatively approached and opened it up. Smells of chicken and herbs filled the tent. The set upon it immediately, Tyra grinning and dismissing herself, not waiting for thanks.

Pyrun faced the next boulder, his next mana at the ready. He felt a sticky sensation trail up his arms and opened his hands, yellow fire emerging and licking at the rock. He kept a steady stream, ignoring the urge to rub the tingling in his arm. Cutting off the flame, he studied the damage done. The boulder was corroded slightly, the surface melted. Volku mana was an interesting combination with Flogu fire.

OOC: I like the concept for Pyrun. But just so you know, Hertzeya is electricity and metal.

Marrius sighed at the tone of the Defiler, mostly because she didn't heed commands very well. But she followed behind anyway, her face remaining blank and calm.

As Sashe strided through the streets, she noticed the library. "Maybe one of us should look for Nias information." Sashe suggested.

OCC: I did not realize that there is firearms in this role play.

ooc: Shadme, there are no firearms.

OoC: You talking to me or Herr?
If you did mean me, then oops. Oversight on my part. ^.^;

Shadmé could feel her energy draining away. She'd been flying for a long time. Not to mention, she wasn't in Aetahar anymore. Sighing, she dropped down to the ground for a break. Shadmé glanced around for any sort of shade, but there was none to be found. She wiped her brow anxiously. I hope I'm getting close to the capital. I'll dehydrate if this goes on too long!

Pyrun prepared to unleash the last mana he'd been practicing. This was the least controlled of everything he'd learned, and dangerous to himself. Taking a deep breath, he tried to remember everything he'd learned about Vallhal mana. He felt pinching from inside, and gritted his teeth as he opened his palms. Immediately he had to shut his eyes, as the fire was as white as light. It was a good thing he did- the light fire could temporarily blind targets. Pyrun couldn't take it anymore and extinguished the fire, gasping for breath. The boulder was scorched, so hot it was steaming.

OOC: No need to apologize. I'm not at my best either because Xbox internet is slow. Half the time I dont realize anyones posted until a good while later.

"Perhaps, but we are carrying an injured child. Not to mention that one of us is required to inform the political leaders of their coming storm." Her smile returned to her face. "I'd very much prefer to tell those leaders myself. I haven't spoken to any leader aside from the archivist. It'll prove to be something new, unlike studying on a country I've never heard of." She turned and stretched her arms over her head, letting out a low chuckle. Her eyes meeting with that of the defiler, "So, are we at an agreement?"

"Are we to get him to a doctor before I begin the research? Or am I to begin at once?" asked Sashe. She never agreed to things when she didn't have most or all information. She did, however, wish to be the one to search for the unknown country.

Marrius paused for a moment, her eyes shifting to the child she was holding. "Attend to the child first." She decided, "No need to bring the injured to a place of study."

"I'll get him to the healer. You just head to the castle." Sashe requested. She picked him up gently, and began to head towards an emerald healers station.

Marrius turned away from Sashe, bringing a slow walk to a fast stride as she approached the palace. Her lips twitched into her eerie smile and her eyes gleamed from under her circlet. "Now, let's proceed with this game..." She said as she drew near to the entrance.

Shadmé continued walking down the long, empty road. She licked her lips, aware of the harsh sunlight heating the back of her neck. Sighing, Shadmé narrowed her eyes and lowered her head, trying to get the sun out of her eyes. She continued walking like this for some time, before finally looking up and squinting. Were those buildings, or just an illusion?
"Hello?" she called out, curious to see if anyone was around.

Sashe had been much closer to the healers station than they had been to the palace. She was already halfway back. The healer had been a dwarven man named Vark. He'd bsndaged Tref up, and said he needed to keep him for a bit. Sashe opened the library door, and entered.

Marrius entered the palace, observing the guards as she did. "My, my, it's fools carrying pointed sticks." She said aloud as she continued her stride into the palace, ignoring any request for her to stop. Had no one been there to stop her she'd had continued right into the throne room and straight towards the King.

Two of the guards crossed their swords in front of her. "State your business!" They commanded simultaneously. One had nerves written all over his face. The other looked calm and collected, smirking through the collected look however.

" 'State my business'...? I don't often talk to puppets who so rudely point swords at my face." Rius said, the look on her face going from smiling to annoyed as her eyes practically burning into them. She a small click of her tongue as she sighed, her eerie smile returning. "I bring news your King should hear. The kind involving the next largest city being burned to the ground. Now... Stand aside. "

The younger, jumpier one automaically stood to the side. However, the other one's smirk widened. "Sorry, we're not accustomed to following orders from women."

Rius's smile widened, although her eyes burned as her voice came out. "Is that so, are you saying you'd never listen to me because I happen to be a woman?" Her violet eyes locked with his as she lashed out at his mind, " 'Why don't you stand aside after you've rammed the hilt of your sword into your helmet until you've knocked yourself out?'"

The man began to lift his sword, and mentally struggled to keep the hilt of the sword. Just before the steel hilt made contact, a dpear protruded from his chest. A woman in heavy battle armor stood behind him. "The penalty for sexism is death." The woman spat. She then looked up at Rius with a smile. "Hello. I'm Regine, the power behind the throne. now what were you saying about Roctrack?"

Rius put her hand across her chest as she bowed slightly, "A pleasure to meet you. I am Marrius, a hobbyist from Psyche." She smiled almost too lightly for the dark topic her eyes losing their former glow. "Roctrack was burned to the ground. By a horde of monsters no less. I hear there were even dragons!" Her tone was definitely all too amused for the situation. She tilted her head slightly, "Pardon me, but I was under the impression that the ruler of this country was a 'King Grattus '. Correct me if I'm wrong... "

"King Grattus is the face of royalty. Sadly, he is too stupid to run this place properly."

"A political puppet, then?" Rius inquired, her eyes gleaming as she chuckled. "Anyway, you should probably ready you're troops. After all, your largest city was burned to the ground by an orc who claimed to be from a place named Nias. There was only one survivor, none the less! A small child at that. "

"A small child you say? Mind you tell me his name?" Regine asked. Her tone was quite strange. Almost as if dhe was amused and confused at the same time.

Shadmé walked closer, and indeed they were buildings! She smiled and wiped her brow again, continuing to move at an even pace. Finally, some form of civilization! I hope it's the capital, although if it's not the townsfolk will definitely pass the news along. Shadmé looked around, hunting for someone to spread the word to. Soon, she noticed a Banar inhabitant, and approached tentatively. "Excuse me?" she asked. "Do you know which town this is? I'm not from around here, but I'm looking for the capital."

OoC: Can someone control the inhabitant, please? I'm dying to interact with someone. X3

"The capitol? It's underground. The entrance is a few miles west of here. Though I don't see why you'd want to go there. If King Grattus isn't less smart than a mule, mules must be much dumber than I first thought." the townswoman explained.

Shadmé opened her mouth, trying to gather her thoughts. Huh. If their ruler is that hotheaded, I don't know if he'll listen. But it was worth a shot. The destruction of an entire city was nothing to sneeze at. "Thanks," Shadmé told the Banar woman gratefully. "I'll look out for him. But I have some news I think he'll want to hear." With that she blinked, sighed, and began walking west, as the woman had instructed.

"Tref." Replied Marrius, studying the woman speaking to her as if she were one of her patients ,"that's what the child told me his name was."

"Interesting. I've memorized the name of every last Banarian citizen. There is no Tref. And I believe I would know if there was. Where could I find him?" Regine asked, urgency lining her tone.

"He was taken to a hospital by the person traveling with me." Rius said raising an eye brow at the statement of the woman. Her smile widened at the woman's tone, "So, the child has more about him than he seems to... Interesting development."

The woman walked past Rius, and began to walk in the direction of the hospital. She ordered three guards to follow her. She beckoned for Rius to follow.

Rius followed Regine, her eyes flashing with ideas of how her game would unfold.

As they neared the hospital, Regine began to move much faster. She opened the door, and there they were. Vark's corpse lay on the floor, with Tref looming over him. He stood perfectly well on his bad leg, and he turned around. "Isn't this most unfortunate," he practically giggled. He then began to transform.

Marrius's smile spread to one which was malicious, as chuckling at the child as he transformed. "It was rather unfortunate. However, I am eager to see who you really are. What kind of doll are you?" She said in a low tone.

"The kind of doll who never shows her true form" Tref stated in a increasingly demonic voice. He grew larger and larger, his skin turning gray, horns and spikes running down his neck. He grew new, needle like teeth, and the teeth he already had became similair. He grew eight eyes, still growing larger. His sides cracked the walls and roof, and he became half the size of the castle. Six new legs appeared. He was a Colossal Spider.

ooc: He's basically dragon sized.

Shadmé continued moving west, glancing back occasionally until the town she'd just left was a speck on the horizon. Shrugging, she picked up her pace, wishing she'd tried to get water back there. Oh well. She didn't really want to rely on the help of others, anyway.
Shadmé blinked as she looked up and realized the sun was a little past above her. Since she was walking to the west, that meant it was a little past afternoon. Hopefully she was getting closer to the town, before her time ran out...

Rius was silent for a moment before she slowly started laughing, "The Puppet Master caught in the spider's web? All too ironic!" She shouted at the spider, electricity crackling in her hands. Her laughter ceased as she hurled it at the spider. "I'll just have to make you show me that 'true form' of yours!"

The Spider shrugged off the attack, lifted it's legs, to the point of it being completely vertical. (It's legs hit the roof of the cavern, for size reference.) It then brought these down on a group of guardsmen. (-5 guardsmen. 1 left)

Sashe heard the commotion, and stepped out of the Library. The Colassal spider was, of course, the first thing she saw. She instinctively lobbed a ball of acid at the creature.

The townspeople were acting decidedly braver than one would expect. They were mostly hurling randomn items at the spider.

Dogs and cats alike were disturbed by the uproar and began attacking the bottom of the spiders legs. Their teeth and claws both managed to puncture the exoskeleton.

Ahh, thank goodness! The entrance! Shadmé began full-on sprinting, eager to reach the shade of the underground town. She slipping in and panted, blinking as she realized how dark and small it was. She didn't have claustrophobia, living in Dewlaine caves for most of her life, but it did bring back memories. She trailed some fingers on the ground, feeling the cool mud touch her palm. Shadmé continued to dwell on things as she walked.

Rius's smile faded, her voice returning to a low and level tone, "Don't kill it. This is my game piece and I want it alive to tear information out of." She changed her mana, wind bellowing around her. Her eyes narrowed and air sliced forward at the creatures legs, aiming to tear them off of the creature.

Out of eight legs, only two were torn off. In the process, one of the flying legs hit and killed the only remakning guard.

Regine hurled her spear, which pierced one of the creatures eyes. The creature shouted in outrage, before shooting a massive string to pull it's enormous self onto the roof of the cavern. A dog still clung to one leg, but was shaken off.

In a telepathic, and quite disturbing, voice, the shapeshifter shouted, "Eluva!" As it said this, a massive ball of energy encircled it. When it disappeard, so did the beast. Tref had escaped.
