I agree, to the devs for LoK the plot is more important than the characters. And Katara sucked. I never like her. I wasn't the biggest fan of Aang either, but they were both better than LoK's characters.

I want to watch book 3 but I never have the time to do so.

I like both shows, but I do prefer A:TLA over LOK. I do realise that LOK was originally only going to be a 12 episode mini-series but due to popularity Nick ordered three more seasons of it so I can see why the character development, etc. isn't as good as A:TLA as it was rather rushed and A:TLA had more episodes in each season. They really could have left out the stupid love triangle in LOK though. Book 1 was good-ish and Book 2 was all right, but I do have high hopes for Book 3 after watching the first three episodes. I'm also really happy that Zuko is in this season and hopefully we might be able to see more of the Gaang (but I kinda doubt it though). I really do like Korra's character and she's probably the main reason why I like LOK and also for the hopes of seeing some more of A:TLA's characters and Tenzin, Bumi, Kya and Lin. There needs to be a show just about them.
I'm also hoping that Azula will make a return in this season. I really doubt it will happen but it would be really neat if she did come back.
Also Korra and Asami had more chemistry in the first three episodes of Book 3 than Mako and Korra ever did in Book 1 & 2.

I think Azula is dead, though I do think it would be interesting to see her in LoK. I think the characters who we're confirmed to be dead we're Sokka, Aang, and Toph. Though I could be wrong.

I wish that Katara wasn't still alive, she gets on my nerves.

i dunno about you guys but i actually like season 1 of atla and also katara mostly

i like to keep off watching it for a long time so i can rewatch all the books and fall in love with it again, but book 1 does feel pretty slow at some points

one of my parents like the series too
mainly because i forced people to watch it with me with me when younger haha

Lol I actually really disliked Korra's character for a while (stereotypically rebellious teens annoy the he[ck] out of me, always have), but it's gotten better.
I doubt Korra will ever be able to achieve A:LTA's level of greatness, but it has managed to feel less like a cartoon, and capture a somewhat more mature tone (as to who is more annoying, Korra or Aang, depends on the season, I really can't decide, but don't get me wrong, they're both still great characters). I also prefer Korra's animation.

Idk if I want Azula to return, but I certainly wouldn't mind flashbacks about her.
Question to you all (spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen the stunning final episode of Airbender):
If we see Azula in LoK (that was close, almost made a double entender by accident there XD), in flashbacks or the present, would you want her or

I think that LoK is a fabulous and absolutely STUNNING series... when not compared to atla.

I think I need to re watch the series since I completely forget the plot.

lol i really liked the first season of TLA, and think even that season is better than LOK. it was the funniest season and got really good towards the end, and i thought it was really interesting to see Katara become a good water bender. shame her personality changes for the worse after that, since she was actually my favourite character at the beginning.

and i do think that aang is currently a better avatar than korra.
I have many complaints about Korra's character. my only complaint towards aang is that he got rid of his hair ;___;

but i honestly do like LOK. It is a good show, and I'm glad they're making it. The only problem is that it's a squeal to a far more superior series, and therefore gets compared to that series.

I like Fire and Earth, I don't care for water, and I hate Air because it's like the complete opposite of me.

In the end I'd be Earth because Fire is great and all, but they've made some ****ed up choices and fire is really only good for fighting and cooking food and nothing else.

i guess i would chose earth bending, mainly because of metal bending.
but water bending would be good too. mainly because of ice and healing and blood bending
I think water best matches my personality too. so i dunno, ether earth or water.

i've never liked air bending, and as much as i love fire bending, it will be too difficult to use because it just destroys and burns everything.

Water, mostly just because healing, bloodbending, and spiritbending

i prefer blood bending, metal bending, lightning bending, etc over the main elements, so this is kind of hard for me i guess
