the fact that it's a joke takes all the merit away from it, if it were actually for awareness of suicide and stuff it wouldn't be as bad.

A lot of people take April fool's too far and believe it should be more of a shock factor than a laughable prank and/or joke

Even so, it was pretty cruel to make people worry like that and make them look like fools for believing it. Imo anyway.

If your initial thought was 'I hate all these people talking about killing themselves, I'm going to do something about it' then fine

But if your initial thought was 'It's April fool's day soon, I'm going to pretend I'm dead and then when people ask why I did it I'll just pretend it was to raise awareness of suicide' then it's wrong.

I literally did not take this seriously for a second. I've seen so many joke RIP [insert user here] topics I automatically assumed this was fake. And I'm a pretty suspicious person anyway. But the fact there were some people who were good enough people to not be instantly suspicious, and genuinly thought you were dead makes this a really dick move for you SP.
