"for one thing, good pretty much always wins in the end at some point. and another thing, there's strenght in numbers. if you're alone, and they catch you, they could kill you and take what they want anyone. you stand a better chance with friends." Rouge said.
"yeah. and i'm an Empath. i'm the last of my kind too, and i'm destined to fight and defeat evil. its my job." Firefly said.
"and i'm--well, i'm really just an electric dragon, but i'd be happy to help." Electra said.

Aretis looked away doubtfully. "I don't know...what if...you guys got captured? What if someone gets hurt....it'll be my fault..."

"uh, no, actually, it would be ours, 'cause we're offering to help. its out decision. it'd be our own fault. and me get caught? with my tricks? as if. even if i did get caught, i'd just teleport out." Rouge said.
"yeah, ditto." Electra added.
"and i could channel their powers with Empathy. i can use powerful furies that can destroy nearly anything. like i said, i'm meant to stop evil. who knows, maybe i'm meant to stop this evil and save a light dragon." Firefly said.

"Mmm..." Aretis was looking doubtful and reluctant about asking for help.

Rouge teleported in front of Aretis.
"you know, i could always command my own army of minions to fight. and since they're minions, it really doesn't exactly matter if they get hurt, since they're meant to obey orders and all that. they're strong, too. and they won't be expected to betray a fellow evil being." she said.
"but they're evil, right?" Electra asked.
"yeah, we shouldn't use evil beings to fight evil." Firefly said.
"why not? the less evil there is, the better, right? this would be like hitting two sheep with one fire ball or something."

Aretis sweatdropped. "Uhh..." He blinked. "Well, I guess..." He started

"hehehe, dont worry aretis it'll be ok." He smiled at him.

Aretis looked away shyly. "I-I guess you could help." He said in a small voice.

ooc: do either one of you want to control the enemies..er...dark dragons? I have no idea what to do.

ooc, yeah, i'll control them. i bet i can think of something to do.

"great. we can start by warning everyone about these dragons. get gaurds and scouts to keep an eye-out for any trouble." Rouge said.
"shouldn't we learn more about them?" Electra asked.
"yeah, we can do some research on them in the library, and check the vision pool." Firefly said.

Aretis sounded like he was reading from a book. "They're warriors of darkness, soulless except for a select few that managed to keep their souls by some means. They only obey their master, and are smart enough to fight alone and in a group effectively. They apparently are somehow produced by the thousands. Their armies seem endless. I think the only way to stop them is to kill their leader." He said in a monotone.

the girls blinked, looking at them.
"on second thought, scratch the reasearch." Rouge muttered.
"warriors of darkness? souless? yikes, they sound pretty bad....." Electra muttered, nervously.
"but we can stop them. we'll just study up, find the leader, and work together to bring him down." Firefly said, confidantly.

Aretis blinked. "Hopefully..." He wiped his watery eyes.

"i'm sure we can. right, guys?" Firefly said.
"yeah, of course. i have friends in low places." Rouge grinned, referring to some evil dragons she knew.
"i have friends out in the forrests. i could get them to help us." Electra said.

Aretis nodded. "Th-thank you." He said in a small voice and covered his face with his wings shyly.

"you're welcome." Firefly smiled. she then turned to Rouge. "okay, Rouge, go to your mom or wherever these friends of yours are. gather up an army. we'll need it."
"roger that, little red. one army of dragons coming up!" she grinned, winking. then she teleported out. Firefly looked at Electra.
"Electra, go to the forrests. find your friends. gather them up and take them to the ice kingdom. from there, we'll prepare for battle." she said. Electra nodded.
"right. got it." she said. then she teleported away.

Aretis looked distant. He turned away and looked to the east. He knew it was dangerous to do so, but he shot a big light beam into the sky and kept it going for a minute or so. "C'mon...please..." He prayed silently.

Firefly sat quietly for a moment. she then looked at Aretis, seeing him shoot a light beam. she wondered what he was doing.

Aretis cut the beam. Would they come? Would they see it? "I wonder....if any other light dragons saw that. They'd know what it meant. Am I really the only one left?" Aretis thought out loud.

Tundra was next to rouge and just observed him quietly. "Hmm wonder what he's doing?" he thought to himself.

Rouge srhugged.
"how should i know?" she muttered. then Firefly saw a beam of light shoot across the sky towards them.
"look!" she said, pointing.

Aretis stared at the empty sky. Nothing. No one came. Aretis looked down sadly.

Firefly walked over to him.
"hey, its ok. you've still got us." she said, gently.

Aretis was crying. He nuzzled Firefly. "I really am the last light dragon..." He said between sobs.

Firefly nuzzled him and wrapped a wing around him.
"i'm the last of my kind too...... but we're not alone..... we've got each other......" she whispered to him.

Aretis sniffed. "I just can't believe...th-they're all dead...my friends...my brothers and sister...why? They're all gone..." He cried.

Firefly sighed quietly, thinking. she then remembered something she had heard about.
"....i remember hearing about...... certain spells...... powerful spells...... ones strong enough...... to bring someone....... back to life....... some..... require scracrifice, but...... they usually work...... maybe......." she trailed off, not even sure if this was helpful at all, but she wanted to cheer him up.

Aretis shook his head trying to smile through the tears. "But, at least...I have friends I can count on." He cried and nuzzled Firefly again.

"i'll always be here to help you...... i will help fight the dark dragons....... and we will win....." Firefly said, a hint of determination in her voice.

Aretis closed and opened his eyes. "Thank you." He sniffed.

"you're welcome...." she said. then Slean teleported in front of them. Firefly looked at her. "..Slean........ what.......?"
"young ones, i have important news." she said, urgency in her voice. "i teleported to a gathering of many evil dragons, and i discovered something. one of the dark dragons was gossiping to some of the others about recent plans. dark dragons are planning to attack a light dragon. i instantly thought of all of you. now, hurry. we don't have much time before they launch thier attack." she explained. Rouge looked at her.
"but, mom, what are we to do?" she asked.

Aretis closed his eyes. "No way..." He breathed as he opened his eyes. "They're already almost upon us. About...two minutes I can feel them..." He said scared.

"two minutes?!" Rouge asked. "wait, what are we doing? are we fighting them or what?"
"i believe we should--" Slean started to say, then blasts of dark energy hit the ground all around them.
"we're under attack! we may have to fight!" Firefly said.

Aretis growled. "This time, they'll pay." He said angrily. Light flashed from his scales. A dark blast aimed for them. Aretis shot a powerful light beam shattering the dark blast completely.

Firefly stood beside him, and glowed white. she looked at him.
"because i'm an Empath, i can channel your powers. i can control light, and we can work together to stop them. it may be difficult for me, since i've never tried using this element, but i'm willing to try. i can help." she said.
"then stop sitting around and fight!" Rouge called to them as dark dragons landed all around them. Rouge shot ice shards at them. Slean growled and spat an acid spray at the dragons. the dragons put up a sheild of darkness to block the attacks. then the shield lowered, and they shot dark blasts at them. Rouge and Slean dodged by teleporting, then did a sneak attack from behind with an acid spray.

Aretis nodded. He burst into action. Aretis changed into light and shot into a dark dragon. The dark dragon exploded bursting into light. Aretis growled "Gyaaaaah!!!" The earth around him shook. Shards of earth levitated and circled around him.

a dark dragon shot a dark beam at Rouge.
"Rouge, look out!" Firefly cried out. she then became light, and shot down to her, countering the dark beam with a beam of light. Rouge blinked.
"since when did you become a light dragon?!" she asked.
"she must be channeling Aretis's powers! Rouge, there's one coming up from behind!" Slean warned before spitting acid at one dragon. Rouge turned sharply, spitting acid into the dragon's eyes.

Aretis roared and the earth shards shot like a spike cannon at the dragons each with a green aura around them. Several dark dragons were pierced by the shards and the earth missiles exploded sending them flying back. Aretis flashed brightly and tore out the neck of one dragon, then leapt off and went for another. Aretis's eyes burst with rage as he continued.

one dark dragon rushed at Rouge, ready to attack.
"Rouge!" Slean cried out. she then teleported to Rouge, grabbed her, and teleported away. Firefly was being surrounded by some of the remaining dark dragons. she shot light beams at them, countering thier attacks, and knocking some back. but two lept at her to attack.

Tundra poisoned afew dragons as they tried to fight back at him. He then saw alot of them surrounding him. "Oh frostbite....." he said as he didnt like the way things were turning out for him at the moment.

Aretis looked at their situation as scores of dragons came in. "I was afraid of this..." He muttered. He fought hard, but not even his light powers could keep them back. Aretis began to tire, he raced over to try and help his friends, but three big dark dragons blocked him. He felt the world going in slow motion as he dodged their attacks and countered with his. Suddenly, he heard a voice. Aretis...Aretis... He didn't have time to think. Aretis blasted another dragon.
Aretis...son, we're here... Aretis stopped shocked. He made a strong barrier of light to buy him some time. "Mother? Father?" He asked. Xrail's voice answered Aretis! Stand up! Fight! He said. Aretis looked in wonder. Aurilis's voice appeared. Aretis, we're with you. Fight, Aretis! Beside us! Fight! She roared in his mind. Aretis felt new strength rising within him. Then he heard a voice he'd thought he'd never hear from again. C'mon Aretis you lazyscales! Haha! It was his sister's! "Starra!" Aretis yelled in glee. The barrier faded. Aretis attacked, each claw strike sending flashes of light that punctured the enemy dragons. And then...something amazing happened.

Ghosts of an army of light dragons streamed out of Aretis's body and joined the fight. Xrail, Aurilis, and Starra were all fighting beside Aretis. The others began to pour out and attack the massive invasion of dark dragons.

Firefly created a barrier of light around her, blocking the two dragons that had attacked her. she then shot beams of light at them, knocking them backwards. they started to rush at her again, but Slean and Rouge teleported behind them, attacking with glowing claws to poison them. they turned to attack the poison dragons, and were hit by more light beams from Firefly.

The light dragon ghosts poured out and attacked, seemingly invincible as any attack that swiped at them went through them doing no harm at all. Aretis saw an opening and rushed to Firefly. He fought with her back to back, repelling the dark dragons fairly well. The light dragon army began pushing the dark dragons back.

Firefly continued to shoot light beams, repelling the dark dragons. Slean and Rouge also repelled the dragons, shooting beams of pure acid at the dragons, burning thier scales, and causing them to fall back.

Aretis shot cannons of earth and light at the dark dragons. He made a light cannon, pushed himself in it, and shot out into the dark mass, causing a light explosion as he landed.

Slean and Rouge shot acid boms into the dark mass. they poisoned and melted through anything they hit, and also produced a cloud of poisonous gas that spread through the mass of dark dragons. Firefly continued shooting beams of light, knocking the dragons back, and keeping them trapped in the poisonous cloud.

Aretis whipped all around, slicing a few limbs, then bounced back to Firefly and shot light beams with her.

Tundra saw that everyone was in trouble, and then called out to the others. "Guys cover your noses, everyone get close to my mom!!! when I say go......mom you get us all out of here!!!!" He yelled out to them.

Aretis gritted his teeth. "Grr...these guys just keep coming!" He growled as more dark dragons swooped in and combatted the ghost light dragon army. Xrail came up to Aretis. "Aretis, do you remember the Masenko attack?" Aretis looked at his father. "Uh, I haven't used it in a while. I-" Xrail shot in the air and put his claws together. An orb of light appeared in his palms and burst with white fire. It expanded as Xrail yelled. "Masenko!" He threw the ball down and the white fireball went through three dark dragons before touching the ground and exploding, raining burning white fire on the dark dragons. Something clicked in Aretis's memory. Aretis went up to his dad. He put his palms together and the same thing happened. "Masenko!" Aretis's was smaller, but just as potent. Xrail exclaimed. "Gracious light! That's a big one!" As the whitefireball exploded. Xrail and Aretis kept throwing the fireballs at the dark dragons.

Firefly and Rouge stayed close to Slean, shooting balls of acid and light at the dark dragons. the poisonous cloud died down, but many dark dragons remained poisoned by the attack.

"Aretis get next to mom and you guys go when I say go!!!1" Tundra commanded as he kept dodging some of the dark dragons attacks
