the girls zapped him again. Marina watched carefully.

He tried the bodies pulse once more before telling them to do it once again.

the girls zapped the body once more. Marina continued to watch.

The body jumped again before starting to breathe again. The male quickly checked nothing blocked his throat and anything else that could be fatal.

the girls looked at the body.
"at least he's alive....." Marina sighed in relief.
"but who is he?" Star asked.
"and how did he get in such bad shape?" Fire added.

'I think the hurricane. He needs a lot of help though if he's to survive.'

"i would offer him a place to stay, but my home lies under the water." Marina said.
"the temple was practicaly destroyed by the hurricane. it's probally not a good idea to stay there." Fireflight said.
"there's a cave nearby. we could stay there." Starfire said.

'Right, we need to lift him carefully. There could be wounds inside we don't know about.' He said to the others.

"if we work together, we should be able to get him to the cave." Fire said.
"but how can we pick him up without hurting him?" Star asked.
"we'll have to pick him up carefully. the three of us each have the wind ability, that might help us." Marina suggested.

'Hold on, if two support his front, and the other two support his back, we should be able to move him without hurting him. '

"sounds good to me." Marina said.
"yeah, let's do it." Star agreed.
"ok. Marina, you and i will get the front. then you two can get the back. does this sound good to everyone?" Fire suggested.
"that's fine with me." Marina said.
"me too." Star said.

'Right.' The male took one corner of the males body.

Starfire got the corner next to him. Fireflight and Marina took the front.
"ok, lets go." Fire said.

He walked along with them to the cave.

"we're almost there." Star said as they continued walking.

He looked to where they headed.

"the cave is just up ahead." Starfire said.

He continued walking with the other three.

"we're almost there..." Star said.
"i can see the cave. it's only a couple more feet." Fire added.

He watched, being cautious f the body.

they then reached the cave.
"we should place the body down inside." Fire said.

'Of course.'

the girls headed inside.
"look. i see a bed of seaweed over there." Starfire said.
"good. we can use that." Marina said.
"yeah, but what if someone else is using it? it looks like it's been fixed and layed in recently." Fire stated.

The male thought.
'All we need is shelter, I don't think softness is an issue here.'

"i was just saying that this shelter might belong to someone." Fire said.
"then we'll just have to borrow it." Star said. "ok, let's set him down."

'Right, on three. One, two, Three.'

then they set the body down on the seaweed.

The male checked a few things.
'I think he's been hurt on the inside too..'

"what makes you say that?" Star asked.

'I can feel some broken ribs, and there's bruise like injuries, but theyr're more red than normal.' He replied

"oh....." Star muttered.
"he needs help if he's going to live." Marina said.
"but what can we do? i mean, i'm more of a fighter than a healer." Fire said.

The male thought.
'I know a bit of healing without powers, but for me to do it without special supplies could make things worse.' He said, looking to the girls.

"there are some underwater plants that have healing properties. i could get some." Marina said.
"magic might help, but i don't know of anything off the top of my head." Star suggested.
"magic doesn't always work, and it doesn't always work the way you want it to. herbs and spices might be our best shot right now." Fire said.

'These won't heal with herbs and spices, and i never trust magic to be honest. Well, then again, it never worked on people similar to me.'

"magic works on us." Star said.
"but not always. and it may do something entirely diffrent from what we want. and if herbs and spices won't work, then we're running out of options." Fire said.
"i know. but what can we do? i mean, i could maybe make a potion, but that ties in with magic." Marina said.
"then magic's our only shot right now. unless one of you has a diffrent idea." Star said.

OOC: sorry i was at the beach all week...
"well... i can freeze wounds to seal them for a while... but... that only works well on cuts and similar surface wounds.... and... if i do that on an internal injury i cuases tissue damage... somtimes..." frost had just been watching.

ooc: i wish i was at the beach.....school just started for me.......


"we're running out of options." Star said.
"we know, Starfire. which means we may have to resort to magic." Fireflight said.
"told you." Star muttered.
"we don't know for sure weather it will work yet, so don't get cocky." she told her.
"i can go get some supplies. it won't take long." Marina said. and with that, she flew away.

The dragon thought.
'...It's dangerous, but i mighht be able to give him better chance of survivng..'

Starfire nodded. it wasn't long before Marina returned with a bag ful of things. she set everything on the ground beside them. Fireflight looked at everything.
"wow, you got a lot. books, potions, herbs, spices, even a mini cauldron. how cute."
"i just wanted to be prepared." she said.
"for what? witch training?" Star asked.
"it was your idea to use magic, Star, so don't poke fun." Fire scolded.
"alright, fine. so, how does this work? what are we doing?"
"i know a herbal remedy that my mother used to heal others, but was mostly sicknesses. that won't work for him. we'll need a much stronger potion or spell to heal him completely." Marina said.
"well, alright, then let's get started." Fire said, pickign up a magic book.

'There's a way without magic that does work, but might have some risks...'

the girls looked at him curiously.
"what is it?" Star finally asked.

'Some people use a different approach, and certain wounds have healed up with only a scar where as magic had not the same effect.'

"and that diffrent approach would be......?" Starfire asked.

'It ivolves opening up and sorting the wounds out by hand...'

"ick......" Star moaned. "....uh, someone else can do that....."
"i kind of agree with Star there. like i said earlier, i'm a fighter, not a healer." Fire added.
"i'll do it." Marina said, not disgusted at all. "my parents were both healers, so i think i could do it, as long as i know how..."

OOC:

'Well, i know a few bits.' The male replied.

"alright then. i'm happy to help." Marina said.
"and i'll wait outside....." Star muttered. she started to walk away.
"oh, no you won't. we'll help too if we're needed." Fire grabbed her arm.

He thought before looking to the male.
'The squirmish look away..' He said before slowly cutting the males body

Star closed her eyes, and then turned away.
"ow!" she said as she bumped into the wall. "hehehe......should have watched where i was going....." she muttered. Fire rolled her eyes. Marina sat patiently, ready to help.

Blood slowly followed the males claw as he cut, then moving his claw out.
