*Zelda turns around and shoots a fireball, only stunning it for a couple seconds*

Zelda: My attacks aren't doing much at all! I'm using Din's Fire!

*Begins to walk towards the big minion with Zelda while slashing other minions*

Zelda: Try using a bomb!

*Takes out bomb and throws it, doing much more then the fireball did, but still not enough to slow it down.*

Zelda: Looks like it's time to switch from fire to wind!

*Zelda taps the ground twice with her spear and the orb starts to spin*

Zelda: Behold Falore's Wind!

*A huge gust of wind smacks into the minion, pushing it back a little*

*Link leaps forward and slashes it with his sword*

Keep it up Zelda! It think we are starting to tire it out!

The minion proceeded to fire a storm of lasers at Link and Zelda.

[Ya know, I do tend to like stories where a group of characters band together to fight a common foe...]
[Also, I'd like to note: no matter what state you're in, Ultra Mirthkir can probably still see you.]

[Okay, got it]

*Link and Zelda fly back do to the damage from the lasers*

Zelda, you okay?

Zelda: Yeah, I think so.

*Zelda and Link jump up and return to the minion*

Let's see how this guy like light arrows!

*Takes out a bow and arrow and prepares a bunch of light arrows*

Zelda: Those are the super powerful arrows you used to beat Ganondorf way back when!

Yup!

*Starts shooting light arrows*

Mare Mortuum spoke again, her voice reverberating around the emptiness of space, Sounding as deep as oceans and caused countless earthquakes on the planet nearby.

"Usstan lar pholor lil chath del lil Tevl'iri ulu jiku nindol fuer'yon!"

Space itself shook. A truly vast star began forming two light years away, and in spite of the distance, the heat it was emanating could be felt, and it was like a furnace.

She spoke again, but in a quieter manner.

"Usstan mir lil chath del oirna elge, fuer'yon. Vel'bol telanth dos?"

Navi: Whert yer terkern bert werlers?

Ultra Mirthkir merely narrowed his eyes, as his minions continued to attack unabated. The one fighting Link and Zelda took some damage from the light arrows.

"...TOILING IN FUTILITY..."

Wolf lunges at minion, claws and paws flailing.

*Treetop, Foxtail, and Blister make their way to the battlefield. Blister began throwing fireballs aimlessly, with a crazed look in his eyes. Foxtail noticed this.*

Foxtail: Blister? What are you doing?

Blister: I'm burning stuff! What'd you think I was doin'?
*He said this in a rather strange manner.*

Foxtail: Blister, are you drunk?

Blister: Drunk? *crazy laugh* Heck no! If I was drunk, could I do this?
*He starts dancing, which looked weird since he didn't have legs. While this was happening, Foxtail got a weird feeling.*

Foxtail: Uh.... I'm gonna go now.
*He walked over to Treetop.*
Okay, Treetop, it looks like we lost Blister, so we're gonna need reinforcements.

Blister: COME AT ME MOTHA****AS!!!!

Treetop: Yeah, let's get out of here before he burns us to the ground. So, where are we going to find somebody to take his place? We'd need a creature of brute strength, a tough guy, an unstoppable force of nature. Do you know anyone like that?

*Foxtail smiled.*
Foxtail: As a matter of fact, I do know someone exactly like that! We'll need to go back to the present to find him though.

*Treetop set his portal gun the the year 2013. A vast jungle could be seen on the other side. As they went through, Foxtail turned to Blister.*

Foxtail: Keep fighting at these guys for us. And DON'T ATTACK THE GUYS ON OUR SIDE! We'll be back soon.

Blister: Gotcha.
*He laughs manically as he causes magma to erupt from the ground.*

*Foxtail disappeared through the portal, into his homeworld.*

[Hey Skyhunter, do you mind if I sent some minions after Foxtail and Treetop?]

OOC: Go ahead.

Ultra Mirthkir sent four moderately strong minions after Treetop and Foxtail.

[I don't mind if you control these minions a bit, by the way.]

Mare Mortuum laughed, it was not a good hearted laugh, or a joyous laugh, it was a maniacal laugh that was utterly terrifying to most living creatures.

"I think it's time I stopped holding back on you, Metali, I thought I could see something good in you, but seeing how you are now... Like a foal throwing a tantrum..."

She trailed off, the energy around her form calming for a bit, before flaring up again.

"I've actually forgotten why we're even fighting. BUT I DON'T CARE ANYMORE!"

Her shout was met with the star she summoned growing in size, and adopting a white glow.
Causing the temperature to rise.

Ultra Mirthkir said nothing in response, but instead summoned several minions the size of small moons, and waited.

[I should note... I don't think energy beings are immune to the attacks of Ultra Mirthkir or his minions.]

"Usstan lar pholor lil yorn del natha raim'xium slyannen!"

Her words echoed throughout the galaxy, the star seemed to shrink, the heat dying down, only to spike again.
A beam of pure energy was heading towards Mare Mortuum, coming from the now shrinking star.

"Vrine'winith velkresa rathrea dosst miulk'ars, whol ulnin Usstan orn malar dos."

She giggled, then continued to speak.

"Mziln, dos zhal'la xo'al fol aiqy ulnin."

Zelda! I think the arrows are working!

*Starts shooting other minions*

Quick! Finish it off!

*Zelda holds up her staff and wind starts to swirl ferociously around her and she disappears*

*She then appears atop the minion and stabs hear spear into it*

Zelda: We did it!

*The minion falls to the ground*

Remember Zelda, there's still other minions and Ultra to worry about!

Zelda: Right! I think I'm gonna take a new approach!

*She taps her spear on the ground again and the orb grows a bit and turns blue*

Awesome! Nayru's love!

*Zelda points at the ground and a large flat diamond appears under her feet*

Zelda: I'll take ones higher up in the air, you take the lower one!

*Takes out sword*

Got it!

*Zelda and her diamond lift into the air and she flies around shooting diamond like lasers at enemies*

Zelda! Try and help Mare Mortuum by blocking the lasers!

*Zelda nods and taps the diamond with her spear. It then widens greatly and blocks only about a fifth of the lasers*

Zelda: It's all I can do!

*Link slashes minion*

It's something! There are just so many of them! Look!

*Little Link runs into the battle and begins slashing enemies with his sword*

The more help the merrier!

The fox and the squid made their way through the jungle. Foxtail led the way whilst Treetop swung from the branches overhead. Eventually they came across a hut built in the trees.

Foxtail: This is it. That's my house. It's not much, especially considering that I'm the king of this jungle, but it's home.

Treetop: Wait, you're the king of this jungle?

Foxtail: Yeah, it's a long story. I'll tell you later. But for now, we need to find a friend of mine.

Foxtail called out into the dense rainforest.

Foxtail: Snort! Come here, boy!

The jungle was silent. No response could be heard by Treetop, but Foxtail could hear the sounds of struggling grunting noises in the distance.

Foxtail: Oh no. Snort! I'm coming, boy! Come on, Treetop! My pet's in trouble!

They rushed through the jungle, Treetop not entirely sure what it was they were trying to save. They eventually came to a small clearing, where Ultra Mirthkir's minions were attacking a rhinoceros. It was trying to fight back, but was not doing so very successfully. It cried out in agony.

Foxtail: Leave my rhino alone, you cruel monsters!

He jumped out to attack. The potion Blister had given him earlier had started to take effect, multiplying his spear's power several times what it was before. The minions had fought back, but Foxtail was too quick for them to catch. He had mounted his pet, and the rhino felt reassured now that his master had come. He charged at them, barreling through them like an enraged bulldozer. The battle had been fought, and the animals had been victorious. As the minion's remains sparked and smoked, Foxtail comforted Snort, while Treetop stared at it in awe.

Foxtail: I saved him from being killed by hunters once, and we've been friends since. Alright, let's get back to the future.

Treetop set the portal device back to 200,000,000 A.D., and they were back at the battle. A raging inferno was occurring, while Blister was hurling fireballs at Mare Mortuum, missing every shot. Foxtail went over to him.

Foxtail: BLISTER!

He jumped.

Blister: Oh hey you guys. I burned up some of the bad guys far you.

Foxtail: What did I tell you about attacking the people on our side?

Blister: Well she was doing this crazy thing with the sun thing and I saw her doing the crazy thing with the sun thing and I thought that she was doing something bad with the sun thing so I tried toasting her and...

Foxtail: Nevermind. Just go home until you're not drunk, alright?

Blister: Okee dokee.

Blister staggered off, but came back.

Blister: Uh... where do I live?

Foxtail: Just get in the fort.

Blister: Alrighty then.

[Little detail here: The minions are mechanical in nature. They aren't organic by any means.]
[Why would Ultra Mirthkir have organic minions if he hates organics?]

OOC: Oh yeah, I forgot. I'll just fix that then...

Some minions began to fire missiles at Link and Zelda.

"Such foolish ideas. I'm a being of energy... and you're firing focused light at me? What sort of idea is that?"

Mare Mortuum created three miniature stars to block the beams of light.

At the same time, the beam of energy coming from the shrinking star in the background hit her, searing heat blasted across space as she was fed the energy, her form literally catching fire.

She gave a maddened laugh as she continued to feel the power flowing into her.

The planet however, was not affected by the heat. Mare Mortuum was careful enough to place a protective ward on the planet before she called forth the star.
She didn't want to kill potential allies after all.

"NOT OF THIS UNIVERSE..."

Ultra Mirthkir gave a gesture, and the minions switched their weapons. They continued to fire beams, but these were different. They appeared to possess a element that was not of this universe, and could quickly drain the energy of any entity. Even a godlike being could find their energy quickly sapped by these beams, and would quickly drain the energy of the miniature stars and reduce them to nothingness.

In fact, it seemed debatable that these beams were even light at all.

[Note this: From now on, all of the attacks of Ultra Mirthkir and his minions will possess this element. It allows any attack of theirs, whether missile or laser or whatever, to cause harm to anything, even energy beings. No matter how strong they are.]

[Edit: To clarify: Not all of the attacks with this element in them will have draining properties. That's an ability of the beams themselves (and maybe a few other attacks).]

Herobrine (remember him?) simply smirked at this comment as he watched from his fortress. His eyes flashed as he observed this element in action, taking in its otherworldly properties. He had not seen this element before, but he now knew more of it than that of even Ultra himself. His master plan was all falling into place...

[icedragon333 kinda forces me to. Also I forgot to note, this is a element entirely unique to a Shadow of Chronidian and only usable by them... soooo... yeah. Sorry about all this. But really, I mean to have Ultra Mirthkir as the ultimate being, and so, I feel all this power is kinda necessary, to compete with icedragon. And knowing more of this element than even Ultra himself...? Not very likely.]
[Was thinking of having a slightly less powerful copy of him engage the others, though. So there can be a super-powerful Ultra Mirthkir fighting Mare Mortuum while a weaker one fights everyone else.]

She smirked at his comment, it greatly amused her.

"What a coincidence, neither am I."

She teleported herself above the beams before they hit her in a panicked haste.

"I mean seriously, the moment I found myself on that planet, torn away from Equestria, I could tell that everything wad foreign, and I had no link to Equestria. I only made my way back to this universe due to the bond Treetop had made... that pathetic creature he is, I still owe his my gratitude for the sheer power I have."

She paused, before beginning to create stars inside of the minions opposing her.

"Tell me Metrolliform, what exactly do you gain when you've destroyed utterly everything? What do you do when your collective is the only thing left in existence?"

"SLEEP, IN OBLIVION."
Ultra Mirthkir appeared to have become a separate entity from Metalliform. His speech pattern had clearly changed; no anger or hatred could be heard in his voice anymore. It was dull, emotionless, yet, something about it... was terrifying.

At least, to most beings.


The minions attempted to readjust their aim to account for Mare Mortuum's change in position.

"You can't do that when you've destroyed that too! Silly!"

Her voice sounded playful, maybe even foalish when she spoke, Though her next few words sounded enraged.

"FIGHT THYSELF THOU THRICE DAMNED MACHINE!"


She began chanting in an ancient language older that Mare Mortuum herself.

"Usstan lar lil tresk'ri-aiqy. Voen'llyl Ussta Lar!"

Slowly, a gigantic cake began to form, as large as the planet nearby.

"I did say I was saving this for an occasion!"

Ultra Mirthkir did not respond to the cake, as he summoned another wave of minions. These minions prepared to fire their draining beams, along with a form of energy torpedo.

"PARTS... UNSEEN... UNKNOWN... NOT... UNDERSTOOD..."
"UNCOMPREHENDING."

Wolf Link jumped away from the energy beams and leaped at another minion.

*Link holds up his shield and blocks the missiles*

One minion fired a draining beam at Link.

[Do note, the strength of this minion's beam is far weaker than the beams of the ones being used against Mare Mortuum. So, you won't find your energy drained away in seconds; it will take significantly longer.]

*Navi jumps in front of Link*

Navi: Neeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

*Navi gets hit by the beam and falls to the ground.*

Navi! You took a draining beam for me! You are very brave!

*Walks away and continues to fight*

Navi: Er, Lernk? Er lerterl herlp? Ernerern?

A storm of sharp, metal shards was fired at Link.

"Vul!Vulpix!"

Oh Goron!

*Link holds up his shield, blocking most of the shards, but one nails him in the shoulder, leaving a cut*

GAAAAHHHH!

*He falls over and his iron boots fall out of his bag and Navi inches over and puts them on his feet*

Thanks Navi!

*The rest of the shards fly into the boots*

I can still fight!

*He takes out his Hookshot and shoots it at a minion, and the point goes through*

Now I'll just swing it!

*He pulls the Hookshot back with his good arm and begins to spin the minion around, taking out others, while still on the ground.*

*A bunch of minions are coming towards Foxtail and Snort. The result should come as no surprise.*

Sic 'em, boy!

*The minions get plowed through like snow. One of them manages to hit Snort with a beam, but this goes unnoticed... for now.*

"PATHETIC MORTALS... WHY FIGHT A HOPELESS BATTLE... WHY SEEK TO DESTROY THAT WHICH CANNOT BE DESTROYED..."
"WHY BATTLE THE ULTIMATE BEING... THE DESTROYER... THE DEVOURER... SO MUCH STRONGER THAN YOU..."
"...THE ANNIHILATOR OF UNIVERSES..."

This appeared to be addressed to Foxtail, Link, and the rest, not Mare Mortuum or Herobrine.

Ultra Mirthkir's mere presence was already wreaking havoc in this sector of space.

It may be hopeless! But I still gotta try!

*Link Hookshots another enemy and swings him*

Zelda: Link! You're hurt!

I'm fine Zelda! Keep fighting!

*Zelda keeps blasting enemies and flies towards Link*

Two minions attacked Zelda, one with a barrage of metal shards and the other with a draining beam. Another minion fired a draining beam at Link.

[I almost said 'draining dream' instead of 'draining beam'... ]

Epona the horse lay on the grass when she heard a battle in forest beyond. She got up and galloped towards the battle scene as fast as she could. When she got there, she galloped towards Link.

Foxtail: It may be useless to fight such a powerful being as Ultra, but I will fight to protect the beauty of nature to the death!

"THEN DEATH IS YOURS."

More minions began to close in.

[Hoping icedragon posts again soon...]

*Zelda protects herself with a full body force field*

Zelda: Hang on, Link! I have a healing fairy!

*Draining beam hits Link*

Great! Hurry! Agh!

*Navi slowly flutters back up*

Er'll preterct yer Lernk!

*Navi starts shooting minions*

Seeing Link's weakness, more minions began to close in on him.

Mare Mortuum broke down laughing. Pure, sadistic laughter.

"... why am I even here" She said hystericly, completely vanishing from sight at the same time.

The gigantic cake that had just finished forming in space, froze instantly as a soft glow enveloped it.

Zelda: Link!

*She knocks away the minions beside her and next to Link*

Zelda: Hurry! Take this healing fairy!

*She dumps the fairy onto Link and it swirls around him*

*Link stands up*

I'm better! I'm better now!

*He charges with sword with orange energy and he does a 360 spin, knocking back all the enemies*

Zelda, Keep fighting! I'm okay now!

Ultra Mirthkir's minions still attempted to attack Mare Mortuum.

"SO MANY... UNWORTHY... ENTITIES..."

[She is still there, right? It would be a little inconvenient if she just left.]
