I wouldn't be against Ridley if Sakurai COULD make him work. But I am one of those who can't see how he would be implemented.

If that what the video states is true and it may be seeing how it says that Mac was to be in the game and now he is I am hoping that Ridley is not a character.He is more of a boss to me rather then a playable character and I can't see how he would work even if he was shrunk down.

The part I don't get, aside from Ridley, is that Bowser Jr. wasn't even considered. I understand him not being in the game, but he has a potential for a completely different move-set, and is very influential in the Mario series.

Rosalina was likely chosen over Bowser Jr, I reckon. And she ended up really unique anyway. I feel she's the most unique fighter we have.

In my own personal opinion, it bothers me way too much that so many people think Ridley should be a playable character, for one, he doesn't really have a personality so to say unlike almost every other character he's just some flying dragon that screeches all the time. It'd be like putting any random Zelda dungeon boss or one of those robots from Sonic '06 or something, he should just stay as a boss, there are tons of better choices for new playable characters and I feel like the only reason Ridley is brought up so much is because people are desperate for another Metroid character to be in the game other than Samus. Also yes, the scaling would be a very big problem too, I imagine. All in my opinion anyway.

Actually, Ridley is sentient and intelligent, and leads a group of space pirates. He's quite iconic and besides Samus, he's the most relevant character in the franchise. He killed Samus' parents, after all.

I think he would deserve a playable spot, but I can't see how they'd do it. If he returned as a boss/stage hazard, I'd be fine with that too. He would deserve the place, though (especially since we need more villains in Smash).

I want an actual Kirby villain in. (DDD doesn't count) Though it's almost impossible due to the fact they would all be massive, and their moves generally wouldn't work.

I think that they would just include him as an assist trophy.

^He was considered as an assist trophy (there is an effect file for a Ridley assist trophy in Brawl's game data), but was made a boss instead.

I think he will be a stage hazard on the Pyrosphere stage.

No, that's Villager's promo poster. Each newcomer has one.

It's obviously coming out by Christmas. If that happens, it will sell out in a heartbeat. I personally hope for it to be released earlier, maybe October?

Both versions will have a different release date, but both are within 2014.

I expect the Wii U version in October/November, and the 3DS version in December.

I'm pretty sure Little Mac could take him.

Falcon does not show his true strength in Smash, he merely holds back as he likes competition. Similar to why Sonic drives a car in his racing games.
