I feel like the addition of a 48 hour ban is recent but I’m not quite sure myself.

Nope. I had those abilities before stepping down. Which means literally nothing's changed.

Are there many people to use mod tools on? From what I know Spyro and Skylanders is essentially dead no? From what I'm seeing the community seems to be the same it was before, not many new people.

But I've been doing good, it's fun to see what I used to write when I was 11 years old haha.

(If I may interject: Spyro's not dead! We had the Reignited Trilogy release in 2018! The fanbase on the other hand... yeah it's minimal.)

We have Reignited but that didn't affect site traffic, then we got Skylanders Ring of Heroes and the subreddit took all the traffic there is in the first place ._.' It's pretty much just a handful posting on the latter, including Dark posting patch notes for the two-weekly updates.

Unfortunately, I think forums are generally seen of as passe due to the popularity of other social media, so I personally don't really expect a random flood of users.

That is pretty much the case these days, yeah.

It's really quite a bummer, because I like the pace of forums better. Oh well. That's how life goes.

imo it seems like forums are dying in general but this one is dying especially fast. i come back every so often and really don’t see anything worth contributing to anymore
but maybe that’s just because it feels like half of the topics are one-off “buchi trying to make some kind of odd joke that somehow needed an entire topic around it” kind of situation
and if you ask me it feels like there’s no incentive for newer or younger users to stay because it feels like there’s a hierarchy of people that have simply been around way longer, so they know all the old jokes and when the site was at its prime and that’s completely not your fault, not trying to shade anyone at all because i completely understand how that would happen
maybe i’ll just settle for ghosting *shrugs*

Actually, I just joined a fairly big forum, and it seems surprisingly active!

I think in general, yes, forums are becoming less and less popular. Ultimately, it's up to the community and where they generally congregate, though. I think big social media sites like Twitter are just more efficient and easy to access for a lot of people. They don't have to code or anything to make a forum from scratch, or worry about setting up moderators.
