Dark Pit dodged the flying puppy instinctively, rolling out of the way. "WHY ARE YOU THROWING PUPPIES?"

Chewy landed with a hard thud, whining.

"Look what you did!" Viridi shouted, running over to lift her puppy gently. "WHY AREN'T YOU CATCHING THEM!"

"WHY ARE YOU THROWING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE?" Dark Pit retorted.

"BECAUSE YOU WON'T TRAIN THEM! HE JUST NEEDS A GOOD FAMILY! THE POOR THING WAS PROBABLY ABANDONDED BY HIS PARENTS, HE NEEDS MORE THAN JUST ONE PERSON THAT LOVES HIM!" Viridi answered, squeezing Chewy against her chest.

Dark Pit rolled his eyes and reluctantly gave in. "Alright, fine, I'll HELP train the dog. I'm not doing it myself though."

"Technically, you'll do what I tell you to do." Viridi smirked, "but I will help. For him, not because you won't do it alone."

Asuna walked throughout the camp, searching for Lucina.

"Not really. I'm not your slave, I'm only working for you at all because I chose to," Dark Pit grumbled, turning to the dog.

Lucina noticed Asuna approaching rather quickly, looking up from the puppy she had been petting. The dog barked at the newcomer.

"And because you want to fly," Viridi mumbled in response, stroking Chewy lovingly.

Asuna's new puppy, Kanari, waddled over to Lucina's puppy, giving barks of excitement along the way.

Asuna gave a warm smile to the two animals, hoping they'd get along. "We still need to figure out if - how to get out of here. I'm worried about sending more people, what if they run into that angel again?"

Mikasa rolled her eyes as she watched Gladion continue to fail. "Is that seriously the best you can do? Fine, we're changing gears," she stated, grasping Gladion's arm and dragged him to the forest. "We're running."

"I don't exactly hide that fact," Dark Pit pointed out, rolling his eyes.

Lucina's puppy approached Asuna's with a happy bark as well, playfully tackling the other.

"I suppose we do," Lucina nodded. She wasn't exactly looking forward to going home, but it had to happen, and admittedly while she didn't miss her world she did miss her friends. "I'm not sure how we'd go about doing that. Naga isn't in this world or I'd consider asking her for help. That's out of the question here, though."

Gladion stumbled at first, but running was something he could do. Not necessarily well, but he could do it. It was necessary as a Pokemon Trainer, and especially as a member of Team Skull.

Viridi was silent for a moment before she stood. "Where's he gonna stay? He might run away if I keep going out into the woods, and I don't wanna bring him in with other girls."

Chewy whimpered and jumped on Virid's legs, pawing at her playfully.

Kanari gave a playful growl before continuing to roll around with Lucina's dog.

"Maybe that god, I think his name was Ryuk, can help us? I know he said he wouldn't, but perhaps under the correct circumstances..." Asuna replied, an image of Kirigaya flashing in her mind.

Mikasa's face flashing with surprise as she noticed Gladion keeping up with her brisk pace. She narrowed her eyes, speeding up a bit to test her theory.

"He's a dog. I don't think they'll care if he's in there," Dark Pit grumbled.

"Maybe," Lucina said thoughtfully. "We'd need a backup plan just in case, though."

Gladion sped up to match, mostly out of habit. He could run for a long time, longer even than most of the evil team's other members. Mostly because he'd always been running from more than just the ones actively chasing them. Partially because he had run so often with Null to train the Pokemon.

"That's not the issue," Viridi replied. "I'm pretty sure the others have dogs too, I don't want Chewy to get hurt play fighting."

"True. Perhaps...no, that would take some time..." Asuna trailed off, lost in her thoughts.

Mikasa was impressed, though she kept her face emotionless. "Let's see just how long you can keep this up for."

"You are way too overprotective of that thing," Dark Pit sighed. "IT'S A DEMON DOG. Hades is known for having those, do you want something in common with him?"

"Taking time to do something is better than doing nothing at all. What are you thinking?" Lucina asked.

"HE is nothing like any of Hades' mutts," Viridi snapped in response. "Don't compare me to him."

"Remember that girl that said she had an entity attached to her?" Asuna questioned, titling her head.

"Whatever." Dark Pit rolled his eyes and looked at the dog.

"Yes, I do remember her," Lucina nodded. "Why do you ask?"

Viridi lifted Chewy, pressing his three heads against her chest. "Fine then," she spat, "be that way." She stormed off towards the camp, unsure of where to take her new pet.

"Do you think it would know anything about how to get back? I mean, assuming it knows something about where we are," Asuna voiced.

Dark Pit watched her leave with a shrug.

"I couldn't say," Lucina shrugged. "I don't exactly have experience with entities."

"Which is why," Asuna began, "we should at least try asking it. But before that, we should probably get everyone rounded up for bed. It's getting dark."

Lucina nodded in agreement. "We'll round everyone up, I guess."

"Everyone! It's time to get some rest now!" Asuna called, loud enough for most of the camp to hear.

Mikasa gave a heavy sigh as she brought Gladion to a stop. "Come on, we should probably head back. It's getting dark."

Viridi heard the call but chose to ignore it, picking a tree near the edge of camp to settle down by with Chewy, who curled up at her feet.

Ryuko sighed and headed into the washroom.

Meliodas remained on the outskirts, choosing to keep watch throughout the night.

Natsu looked to Darkrai, "wanna start going back? Or would you rather stay out here all night?"

Gladion followed Mikasa with some hesitation, not about to refuse shelter.

Phosphora heard, but chose to spend the night with her tamed monsters instead. "You can go back if you want," she told Ryuk. "I'm staying out here though."

Everyone else headed back to their respective sleeping halls.

Mikasa immediately headed for the female washroom and pointed at the male areas. "That's where you go," she informed him.

"You think I'd leave you out here alone?" Ryuk floated into a relaxed position. "I'm staying."

Everyone else began walking to the sleeping halls, exhausted from the day's work.

Gladion shrugged and went where he was directed to go, lying on a bed and waiting for the night to end.

~THE NEXT MORNING~

Asuna's eyes fluttered open, the brightness of the morning awakening her. With a yawn she stood, stretching the sleep out of her body. She took a quick glance around the room before realizing two of the vacant beds were empty. Viridi and Jodie. Viridi being gone wasn't uncommon, but Jodie usually slept in. Not thinking too much of it, Asuna set out around camp to look for her. She softly called her name, hoping she wouldn't wake anyone. After a few minutes of this, she realized Jodie had disappeared. She dashed back to the female sleeping hall and gently shook Lucina awake.

Lucina woke up almost immediately when Asuna tried to wake her, sitting up and looking at her friend's concerned expression. "What's wrong?"

"Jodie isn't here," Asuna replied, attempting to keep her voice calm. "She's not anywhere around camp, either."

"She left with Phosphora last night," a deep voice called out. "About an hour after midnight."

"But Phosphora wasn't here," Lucina pointed out, confused.

"No, but she came back to retrieve Jodie," Meliodas replied.

Asuna glanced at Lucina, "that doesn't sound right. They've never actually exchanged words before. One of us would have noticed."

Lucina nodded, frowning. "I'm not sure how I feel about this. It doesn't seem right."

"We should probably wake the others and go look for Phosphora. I don't like the sound of this," Asuna said darkly.

-PHOSPHORA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS, DO NOT COME LOOKING FOR US. WE DIDN'T COME BACK LAST NIGHT.- It was Ryuk's voice who spoke into Asuna and Lucina's heads.

"Well then who could it have been?" Lucina muttered, more confused than before.

"That girl had illusion magic, right?" Asuna asked slowly, a look of realization dawning on her face.

Mediodas stiffened, realizing his mistake.

"She did," Lucina said, the same thought dawning on her.

"Wake the girls up," Asuna commanded, rushing to the men's sleeping hall. "EVERYONE UP! THERE'S AN EMERGENCY!" She called from the entrance.

"Get up!" Lucina shouted. "This is important! Get out of bed!"

Various groans accompanied the waking up, as well as a few grumbled complaints.

Asuna stormed out of the men's hall and back to Lucina. "Please, hurry! We don't know how much time we have!" She pleaded.

Ryuko lifted her head out off of her pillow, taking it upon herself to give Lucina the best glower she could muster. "What is so important that you felt the need to disrupt my sleep?"

"What's happening?" Mercury asked, puzzled.

"Just get up and round everyone up, I'll explain when that's don,." Lucina said decisively. "Everyone get up and head to the eating hall."

"Ok" Midori said. Very shortly after she was gone. Mercury nodded and went to the eating hall.

Everyone went to the eating hall except Natsu, Ryuk, Viridi, and Asuna.

Asuna sighed, "what are we going to tell them?"

"Probably just what we think could have happened," Lucina said.

"Alright," Asuna replied with a sigh. "We should hurry. We don't know how much time we have."

Lucina nodded. She made her way to the eating hall quickly.

Asuna followed behind Lucina and walked into the hall. "You do the talking," she whispered into her ear. "You seem slightly calmer than me."

Lucina nodded, calling for everyone's attention. "Jodie disappeared last night."

"We were told Phosphora came to get her, but she hasn't been here all night. We think our old prisoner took her," Asuna continued.
