Kona watched the other haven animals climb on to the orcas back. Kona's lip curled slightly. She was not the biggest fan of orca rides. Although rather curious about why this orca seemed to be seemingly pointlessly giving the animals a ride. Anyway, she hadn't talked to any of the animals of the haven in quite some time. Kona decided she might as well say hello...

"He can fly..." Sybil said to Rose, almost telling her that it wasn't a good idea since Royal had such sharp talons. Unlike Rose and Sayan, they weren't retractile, so they could hurt Jet, though she remained quiet in fear she might offend the mighty eagle.

Just as Sybil was about give the ok to go, she noticed something else on the sand approaching. It had pointy ears and a fluffy tail; and it was an animal that Sybil knew.
"I that..." she said, trying to remember the name. Most of the animals in the Haven were so focused in their own lives that Sybil barely saw them, so it was quite the surprise when they appeared all of the sudden...

Royal gazes at the others for some time. His fierce golden eyes shimmer in the light. Then he sighs and shrugs.

"I shall fly over you all. I know I am even less trusted than Jet. You all try to hide it from me, but I see it in your eyes. You're afraid of me," he says before spreading his wings and taking off into the air without another word. Jet sees a lone tear fall down the great bird's face as he says this.

Sybil shook her head rather quickly, to the point of almost getting a headache. That was not it at all, and could barely believe that's the way Royal was thinking. She felt like she messed up big time saying those previous words.. She wanted to explain, but Royal was already high in the air. She had for a moment forgotten that Kona was still approaching...

Kona blinked. She could sometimes be shy with the haven residents... But the curiosity had gotten the better of her. Kona strode up to the animals. "Hi. You, um, probably don't remember me, but I'm Kona. The last island fox? Anyway, I was just curious about why you are all going on the orca?" maybe they're leaving, Kona thought with a start.

"You're welcome to join us, Kona.," Sayan said with a smile. "I don't quite remember you, but then again I have isolated myself from time-to-time.," the leopard added.

Sybil believed that Jet already had too much weight, but since he was being so cocky, she decided to test him, and make her forget about her little fiasco with Royal.
"Well Kona, I remember you now. So long without seeing you. Anyway, it's just a little ride here and back. Nothing long. What do you say Mr. Jet? Do you think you can handle one extra passenger?" she asked, very sure that the new orca was too certain he could handle it...

"Well... If that's all right with you..." Kona said, waiting for this "new orca" to answer.

Sybil understood and gave the signal for him to proceed. Just a little trip around the waters would make Jet feel at home, and at the same time, engage into some conversation that Sybil hoped would get the orca and all of her present guest to get along, even the still hard to trust Sayan.

Kona nodded and hopped on.

Sybil had to hold on tight since she was sitting on Jet's head and was receiving the most wind.
"Not so fast, and not so far either." she reminded him, not even noticing that Rose was having so much fun.

Sybil was not so sure what to think. She was having a little fun, but at the same time fell pity for Jet. From where she was standing, she could see very clearly the number of bruises he had. And also, she couldn't see any of the other orcas. She was hoping they would see Jet like this and give him the chance she was giving him, and that Cairo refused to give.

Royal flies lower so he is a few feet about Jet. His golden eyes glisten in the sunlight. He seems content at the moment.

Meanwhile Jaerl after all his work is done, has collapsed in Sybil's home. His eyes are closed and his body relaxed. After all the hours of non-stop work, exhaustion has won.

Now that Jet was going slower, Sybil decided to relax a little. It's been a while since she rode an orca, and almost forgotten how much she loved it. She believed that at least one orca of Cairo's pod must be nearby, and if that orca saw what Jet was doing, it would probably informed the others. Cairo's family were quite the gossip lovers, and she knew it well.

Meanwhile, Cairo was resting near the other island's beach, far away from the still startled seals. He was tense, but he tried very hard to relax. He strongly believed that Jet wouldn't try something stupid in his own territory. At the moment, it would have never crossed his mind what his rival was doing at that precise moment...

Kona lifted her head to feel the wind in her fur. Orca rides were fun!

After a few minutes, Sybil was beginning to feel sick. It was quite a while since she last rode an orca with all her overwork, and she needed once again to get use to that sensation.

"Well Jet, thank you for so much fun, but it's time to return to land." she said, with a changed tone of voice that she tried to mask. It would be embarrassing if she, who did orca surfing every time she had the chance, was currently in that state...

There wasn't any conversation as Sybil hoped for, but at least that little trip may help the new orca feel more welcomed.
"Thank you Jet. That was very fun. You can let Cairo about this. If he doesn't believe you, tell him to meet me so I can confirm it to him myself." she said, still thinking that she could talk some sense into the orca leader with the still too big grudge.

"Good luck." the civet said, following the dialogue. The sickness was gone, but she knew she had to keep up the rides in order to get use to it again.

"I have to admit... that wasn't half-bad. Thank-you for the ride... Jet.," Sayan said after hopping off. The leopard was somewhat complimenting the orca while still holding back on his trust.

Sybil was very happy to see everyone have enjoyed themselves. Even Kona, though the fox remained quiet. She looked at the sky and didn't saw Royal. She wanted to apologized for earlier, but she would ave to do it later by the looks of it.

Sybil remained around the beach for a while just in case Cairo paid her a visit to confirm what Jet would say to him. In the meantime, she remained on the sand, playing a little risky game with the crabs. They could talk, but they were so cranky that they were more, "pinch first, ask questions later"

Royal lands on a log a few feet away and watches the others. His fierce golden eyes gleam in the sunlight. He is content at the moment.

Kona spoke up. "Goodbye. That was fun. I suppose I'll see you around the island. She slightly tipped her head and then set off.

To busy with the crabs, Sybil didn't noticed Royal was still around. The little crustacean were giving her a hard time, but she still tried to talk to them...

When his passengers were all off Jet went to find Cairo. "Oh Cairo where are you?"

Cairo returned to his pod, noticing some tension around his family. Unbeknown to him, some were event starting to question his authority. Keeping an outcast like Jet, or listening to Sybil, no matter how wrong she is, was starting to get on their nerves...

After departing and relaxing for a bit, Sayan noticed Royal. He knew that the eagle had also gone though a lot and hadn't spoken to him in some time. "Long time no see, friend.," he said as he slowly approached.

"I think there is someone calling you Cairo" said a rather bitter female orca. Cairo noticed her distraught tone, and tried to pacify things.
"After I find out what he wants, please, tell everyone we will do a meeting." he said in his gentlest voice possible. He correctly assumed that his family where I quite uncomfortable with Jet being around.

"I see that what you lack in strength it's plenty in lungs." Cairo said mockingly, appearing from behind.
"Unless you are gonna say that you are leaving, you and I don't have nothing to talk about. My Sybil may want to give you a chance, but me and my family disagree." Cairo said, making it very clear that he was unwanted, and that Sybil was the only one keeping him there...

Cairo remained there with a neutral expression. After some seconds that felt like hours, he spoke.
"Really? You are trying very hard to work on my sympathies, aren't you? Please, do you expect me to believe you carried all of them yourself?" he said, doubting it. However, the last time he didn't believe Jet, he confirmed everything with Sybil.

"So, the mistress wants to give you a chance that badly... but I can't. I can't shake the feeling that you're up to no good. When I finally find evidence of your wrongdoing, not even Sybil will be able to help you." Cairo finally said, turning around towards the direction of the Haven. He had a lot to say to the civet. Cairo wasn't sure if his suspicion of Jet was a hunch or simply a grudge, but one thing was clear; both him and his family were uneased with his presence. But his love for Sybil was too much, and he didn't dare to do things without her okay.

Kona yawned. She was exhausted from the ride on the orca. She wasn't used to that much action anymore. She headed to her den to take a quick nap.

"I may be small Cairo but I am a strong swimmer!" Jet said.

Cairo simply ignored him and continued. He had much to talk with Sybil...

"Well he shouldn't be. It's not like we did anything wrong." Sybil answered, firmly believing she didn't need Cairo's permission for that. She would probably regret it, since the announcement of a rather big wave gave away Cairo. He didn't call for her, since she was already so near the water, but his neutral look made her very nervous. Did Jet really told him that fast?

"Uh oh. Speaking of King Neptune..." she said to Rose, trying to mellow the situation a little bit by making it comical. She approached him with her head still up, though his violent behavior from yesterday made her tremble...

"Miss Sybil, may I please ask why... WHY do you insist with Jet? Why can't you just trust me when I say he's up to no good!? I know him too well. He may act with good intentions, but it's only a matter of time before he makes a wrong move..." Cairo asked, obviously irritated but trying to hide it. Before Sybil could reply, he continued.
"Just be lucky you were in company. I don't even want to think what he would have done to you if you were all by yourself..." he said, almost sniffling.

"Cairo please, whatever happened between you two was years ago. Someone can change in such a time. Besides, he can't beat you in battle. He's too small. And what harm could he do with you around?" Sybil specified, believing that if Jet did indeed something bad (which she doubted) he would receive a painful punishment from Cairo, and that is something anyone would want to avoid...
