As Dark pointed out in the other thread, it looks like LightCores won't work in SSA. So the only new figures to work in SSA are the S2 characters.

i expected that the lightcore characters wouldnt work in the original game.

I dislike Bouncer's Single just because you can't see the cards, but hey, they still look nicer and sleeker than the terrible original ones.

Yes,I am a well known authority figure in the Grammar police,and I was just thinking that the Giants bases are double the size of regular Skylanders bases,and the 3DS portal cant fit two skylanders so they would need to make smaller Giants to fit

They don't need to fit 2 skylanders..... Last 3DS S:SA, It was you place it on the portal, turn it on, go to the sanctuary and go to the weird guy (forgot his name) and he'd cast a spell bringing the skylander. That's how it'd work and so on with this game :l

This is erroneous logic - if you can't fit two normal figs on a 3DS portal, then why bother making the Giants figs smaller? The portal will be large enough to fit a single Giant fig on. This is then logically the same as putting a single normal sized one on (given that you can't fit two on at the same time).

That said, I thought it was possible to two two figs on the 3DS portal; possibly with some overhang but still reading them?

The 3DS version fits two Skylanders and q Magic Item fine. Though you do need to lay the item to the side.

Looks like they considered that, there appears to a symbol to the left of his name that looks like it's displaying a + by one of the cards - so maybe it isn't visible in the packaging, but that's meant to say "Yes, it does include a card."

How do you know that the figure won't fit on the portal!! What did you go have fun fun time with Robert Kotick and be his personal slave to see the figure and portal?!

We've already seen game play with two Giants on the portal at once - it is possible. The bases are twice the width - not twice the size. I thought that was pretty obvious from the photos of Tree Rex next to Stealth Elf.

I'll break it down simply:

You state that two normal sized figurines do not fit on a 3DS portal.

Then why would they even bother trying to shrink down a Giant sized one when there is no way to fit them (according to you) on the portal, in the first place?

EDIT: I know what a fig roll is but they only seem to be a big thing in North America?

The 3DS portal isn't even designed to fit two characters - it doesn't even need to fit a Giant, the Giant can just sit on the edge slightly if required. That's what you get for Activision not forcing you to buy a whole new portal.

Is there a booster pack for 3DS, or do you have to buy a new portal?

There is a booster pack for 3DS but for about $15 you get two figures (one of which is likely an exclusive (Punch Pop-Fiz and Cynder))and a back up portal.

I personally find the value of these three tings worth $15

iff you notice in the trialer there is a part where crusher is in darklight crypt it looks exactly the same and you can see occulus in the background so this means no new levels for the adventure packs by the look of it darn!

They said there will be new content in the Adventure Packs when placed in Giants. They only show the start of the Darklight Crypt level, zook.

i know id think it would be different its just the fact occules was flying in the same pattern ass the first. maybe there are just changes to the landscape boulders and chain islands

Guys, I AM SURE that they don't mean the bases will be exactly twice as big. Tell you what, when I open my copy, I will tell you if Tree Rex and whatever Giants are available then all fit on the original Portal. So you can hush.

You're probably right,I thought everyone meant that the Giants would fit completely on the portal
