7/10 is not horrible... It simply means, good! For a TV Show based off of a video game series, that's pretty dang awesome. This could be huge for not only the Skylanders brand, but could also help fund more video game TV shows.

They gave storks 4/10 and that movie was AMAZING!!!

I generally really trust in reviews to see if something is good or bad, even if I don't always agree with the review or might like the thing, even if I know that it's bad.

ANYWAY! Am I the only one who is super annoyed at people complaining about the changed VAs. C'mon, now... they had to do it, TBH. The old VAs are good, but I don't feel like listening to a good chunk of them for HOURS when binge watching a show. What works for a game will not always work for a TV show.

Yup. That review was also very positive to the voice actors. And I can see why. They're pretty good. Well, at least they didn't changed Kaos' actor, which is great.

Richard Steven Horvitz is already a well known cartoon voice actor, of course they wouldn't get his voice changed.

I am kinda annoyed by Glumshanks' voice change. I've learned to tolerate Stealth Elf with Ashley Tisdale's voice, however.

Plus my dad and sister are gonna be camping on the 28th so i'll be able to watch the whole first season on my Xbox's Netflix app all day

The writers changed the original backstories of the Skylanders a bit to add more details to them for the TV series. We know what the Skylanders backstories are in the games, but they are going to be a bit different in Academy.

well they did said that they will use the backstories but they will change some details...
i can work with the change they did with spyro, but lets just hope that some of the backstories will remain the same.

Well the original backstories don't make sense anymore anyway so i'm just gonna think the academy ones are canon :/

That sounds like LoS with Sparx parents but I don't think I have a problem with that.

Sonic Boom is good, though... At least the clips I've seen from it.

Also, one thing this show us above SB is that it has a plot. A story with arcs and character development will be told with Academy. It's not all comedy.

I've seen good part of Season 1. There's not anything wrong, I just find it pretty meeeh, not because it's all comedy or doesn't have an arc (I don't even consider this as bad things), it's just that I don't personally find it entertaining.

My fear is that Academy has everything going right, but we know that sometimes things can go wrong even with that.

Well, here's my hopes for a great show.

allso a classic "you are on fire" joke, to bad that eraptur is a fire skylander otherways this scene could be allot more funny.

What the donk!! Skylanders games aren't even in Japan from what I know minus the first game! I'm surprised that it's going be in Japan. I guess Acti will try to bring Skylanders to its market again?

It's easier to dub for a TV show than for a game, as well as Netflix probably investing big money on having the dubs out all at once - might be why the 6 month delay in a TRAILER of all things.

There's even a brazilian-portuguese version, where it's generic as **** (we have the same 6 voice actors in nearly every show anyway), but at least they fixed Kaos' voice to sound 18 instead of 12 like in the PT-BR games.

You know, I think I just realized why I'm not that big a fan of Glumshanks' voice here. He sounds like Garfield... in The Garfield Show.

Norm McDonald is above that trash!

Frank Welker (man of many many voices) voiced Garfield in The Garfield Show while Norm Macdonald voices Glumshanks in Academy.
