"Speaking"

My life has been totally out of whack. My friends are gone. I feel alone and defenseless, and no one seems to care. The answer to my memory-loss is dumb, and i sense something is wrong.

"No!"

Something is happening.

"You're just a kid. You can't defend yourself. You're worthless."
"No..."

I'm leaving for a reason. I just haven't figured it out yet.

"Why? Why'd you do it? Your family is devistated, and do you care at all?!"
"You said you left yours!"
"My parents were abusive! What's your excuse?"

I found someone that's willing to help me.

"Hey! Leave her alone!"

And now...it's becoming akward when he's teaching me.

"Hello? Earth-to-magic girl."
"...huh?"
"You know, i'm getting closer and closer to face/palming by the minute."

There's only one reason i can think of. But that's not right.

"Huh? Who are you?"
"Would you really like to know?"
"Isn't that why i asked?"
"...just don't say i didn't warn you."

And now i learned something..something i've choosen to forget.

"You...died?"

I know everything, but that has come with a cost.

"What's wrong?"
"You...You'd never be able to understand."
"Tell me."
"I can't. It hurts too much."

And when i'm finally reunited with people i thought i'd never see again...

"You've been here this entire time?"

everything goes downhill.

"Gah! Get away!"
"Spyro...oh no. She is SO dead!"

"What?!"
"Have you already forgotten the number one rule? Trust no one."
"This isn't happening..."
"You wish."

"Hello, children."
"You are not our father anymore!"
"Hmmm? You obviously have not been told of how strong my power is. You don't stand a chance against me. Most of your friends have already prooved that. I can control anyone."
"Everyone has a choice of how they can live!"
"My power is stronger than my father's. Stronger than anyone. So stand down."
"Never!"

"Come on. Tell me what's wrong."
"I'm confused."
"About what?"
"Dusk and Kelp."

We're all turning, one by one.

"No!"
"Stop! She's not herself. She's turned evil."
"No...that's not possible."
"Anything is possible."
"Then we can save her!"
"Okay, rephrased. Anything EXCEPT THAT!"

And now, with so few of us left, we need to work together and put all our effort into getting out of here alive. If one of us slacks off or makes a mistake, it means death...for everyone.
But I know we'll survive somehow.

oh, and, what do you think is better to post first? The sequel, or a prologue?(like, Shadow's history)i'm honestly for the sequel, because i'm already working on the alternate story. I'll post it when I've finished the alternate.

I just bumped this. Kill me. But before you do, listen to my explination.
Long story not shortened at all, I was playing Okami and there was a song i couldn't get out of my head. I've had it stuck in my head for days straight now,(yeah, and you're all annoyed when it happens to you for an hour)and since i normally use my music-given inspiration on either drawing pictures or writing, i decided to write. I know that there have been some people wanting an epilogue for this. I felt really bad for not having one. This(along with some nudges from a few fanfictions i've read and a few video games i'ves played)giant combo got me to(finally)write an epilogue to this story, and not type out what i've already got for the alternate like i should be doing.(again, kill me. but it won't get you any more story. i'm just too lazy)
Oh, and i'd also like to mention that it goes from first person to third and back to first. Kill me. for the third time in this post. (at this rate, i'm going to be murdered before tomorrow)
So, without further adeu, here is the epilogue.

(you can replay the music if it stops. It probebly will, it happened to me...but that was when i was taking my time reading...)
I stood up and took a deep breath. I had to tell my friends about this. How could I not? I walked downstairs to where the others were waiting and asked everyone except for Spyro, Cynder, and Sonata to come upstairs for a second. Why no Sonata? One look at each other and she seemed to know what I was thinking. She gave a slight nod, but I saw a tear fall from her face.
Once we were upstairs, I closed the door. I don’t know why, I just didn’t want Spyro or Cynder to hear. Even though it didn’t matter, since they didn’t know me.
I shared a glance with Rose, then tried to make eye contact with my friends. I could see concerned looks on their faces, and I didn’t want them to be worried at all. I couldn’t stand it anymore and looked at the ground. My hands were clenched so much that I could feel my fingernails drawing blood from my hand. I would give anything not to be in that position, but I was in it. Either live a depressed life or say good-bye to my friends.
“I’m leaving.” I said so quietly the words were almost impossible to hear. But everyone still heard them somehow. I knew they’d all be asking questions, so I just answered before anyone said anything. “Rose offered for me to go back to our old universe. I know you’re all probably thinking the same thing right now, but…no, I don’t think I’ll be able to get through this living here.” I still didn’t dare to take my eyes off the floor, or stop clenching my hands so hard.
“I’m going with you.” I heard Alondra say. I couldn’t hold back a gasp, and my head shot up.
“Me too.” Karen added. “You’re not going back there alone.”
I felt a surge of happiness, but then I reasoned with myself. “No. I can’t let you go with me. I won’t let you. You all belong here.”
“You do, too!” Kaitlyn said with determination in her voice. “Just because one of your friends died doesn’t mean you don’t belong here. Besides, we’d all be losing you, so we’d have an excuse to leave.”
“It’s…it’s not like that, Kaitlyn.” I gave her an apologetic look, hoping it worked. I’m pretty sure it didn’t.
“She’s right. You can’t go with her.” Rose spoke up. Thank you, Rose.
“And exactly why not?” Meaghan challenged. “Give us five good reasons why she gets to leave and we don’t.”
I was starting to get frustrated. Why wouldn’t they just let me leave without question?! “Okay, then.” I put up my hand, counting with my fingers. “One, I can’t let you guys leave your new lives. I’m sure they’ll be a lot better than what you’d have if you came with me. Two, half of you don’t even live where I live. Three, you all have no reason to go with me. Okay? None. Other than just because we’re all friends. And that leads me to number four; I’m not going to remember anything, okay? Nothing. Rose is wiping my memory. And five is because I…” I stopped there, looking down again. I realized that my friends probably had no idea about this. “I had feelings for Kelp.” I said in a barely audible whisper. And again, it seemed that fact didn’t matter, ‘cuz it sure shut everyone up real quick. And of course, since I was still in an agitated mood, I still felt like randomly blowing up. “Yeah, exactly. Know why you can’t come now? Or would someone still like to continue arguing with me?” I challenged. I saw my friends look at me with shocked expressions. Maybe I shouldn’t have exploded like that…no one knew about that, after all… “I’m sorry.” I apologized. “It’s just that you ca-“ I was Interrupted by one of my friends hugging me. Not sure who it was, but everyone did after that. Oh great, a giant sad freaking hug-a-palooza. Just what I needed…okay, maybe it was, but don’t point out the wrong usage of my sarcasm!
“We’ll miss you.” Kaitlyn said.
“Even though I won’t have my memory, I’ll miss you all, too.” I said, giving them a small smile. I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder, and turned around to see Rose.
“Are you ready?” She asked me softly.
“Heck no. But I’m probably as ready as I’ll ever be.” I replied.

“Use your dragon form.” Rose commanded. Desi just did as she said, slightly wondering what was going to happen. “This might hurt a little.” She said slightly apologetically.
“Go figure.” Desi commented sarcastically, but she squeezed her eyes shut, preparing for the worst.
Rose put a hand on Desi’s forehead, and she instantly fell to the ground. The others in the room looked on with worried glances but didn’t move a muscle. Suddenly, Desi started moving, but it looked like she was most definitely in pain. She clenched her teeth, desperately hoping that it would be over soon. Her eyes opened and she looked at her friends. She tried to give a small smile, though it looked more like a grimace, and a tear went down her cheek. Then her eyes closed, and she turned into a human.
“Can she turn back if she wants?” Meaghan asked, concern for her friend in her voice.
“It’s possible. But since she doesn’t know she can, she won’t. Or at least, that’s what we’re hoping. If she sees anything or anyone that is familiar, it might send her memory back. She wouldn’t want that to happen.” She gave a sad look to the others. “That means you won’t be able to visit her. You have to stay in this universe, where she can’t see you. Or at least, in a different place in the other universe. Understand?” Everyone solemnly nodded their heads, sadness in all their eyes.
“Ugh.” Desi shook in her sleep-like trance.
“How long will she be like that?” Karen looked at her friend.
“Not long. I need to get her to the other universe, quickly.” And with that, Rose picked Desi up by her shirt collar and flew out the window.

I woke up to find myself in sand. And a lot of it. My eyes opened, and I stood up quickly. I looked around, trying to take in my surroundings. What had happened? It hurt my head just to think about it. Then again, I already had a headache in the first place…I sighed, feeling completely lost and alone.
Just then, I felt a breeze pass by me. But that wasn’t the weird part. After the breeze, there was a hologram of a dragon or something in front of me.
“Gah!” I fell backwards in shock. “W-who are you?” I stammered, epically failing at trying to be brave.
The dragon didn’t reply, but just gave me a sad look. It was met with a skeptical one, but he didn’t seem dangerous…
He made a gesture with his wing to follow him, and I obeyed, having nothing else to guide me. I was pretty sure I was going mad, but if I was, then at least it had something to do with dragons. We walked at least a few miles until I realized where I was. At my house. I looked up at the deck, spotted my mom, and that was one of the last things I saw before I passed out on the lawn. What was the very last?
Even from behind my eyelids, I saw the dragon give me a tiny smile, put a necklace in my hand, and fly off into the starry sky.
